Reviews for Frondirion

Review 1:There was nothing I didn't like. It was absolutely perfect.

Review 2:Vegeterian breakfast was excellent - cereals, almond milk, toast & marmalade, mushrooms, tomatoes & scrambled egg and stewed fruit. The bedroom and bathroom were both lovely. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful.

Review 3:Just a tiny minor thing - no loo brush in the loo means if something doesn't flush away, you can't make it, slightly embarrassing!

Review 4:Great location, stunning views (ours was the double bedroom at the front), wonderfully friendly owners, home-made scones and jam on arrival, home-made Bara Brith to take away, comfortable room, friendly cat, off-street parking, good WiFi, ....

Review 5:The only negative was having to leave and come home.

Review 6:Mike and Beth obviously love running their B and B and it shows. Everywhere was spotless, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We were made to feel tremendously welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. They are delightful.

Review 7:A fantastic B&B. Beth and Mike made us feel very welcome. There werevery knowledgeable with regards to attractions and restaurants and gaveus some excellent tips on where to go, what to do and where to eat! Theyalways offered to ring and make reservations. The excellent reviews aretrue and accurate!

Review 8:The warmth and friendliness of the hospitality. The attention to detail - fresh milk for the tea tray and homemade biscuits for example. The beautifully decorated and equipped bedroom with a wonderful view of the sea.

Review 9:No negatives at all, everything was amazing.

Review 10:We really enjoyed our stay at Frondirion, the location was great (10 min walk to the beach), rooms were spacious with stunning sea views, service was exeptional. The proprietors Beth and Mike went out of there way to make us feel welcome and help us make the most of our stay. The breakfast was amazing with almost all the food sourced locally. I would definitely recommend this charming B&B to anyone visiting the area as it feels like a home away from home.

Review 11:The hosts were welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. I needed a very early start as I had to catch the train to Aberdovey for the Race to the Castle Ultra so I was given a breakfast I could eat on the train. The cooked breakfast the following day was delicious. Our room was comfortable, clean and cosy with lovely decor and very nice bathroom/shower facilities. There were also stunning views from our room. The railway station is in easy walking distance (even closer than the one at Harlech) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or to recommend to others.

Review 12:Nothing to dislike.

Review 13:Great location Very friendly owners. Have great advise with there very in depth knowledge of the surrounding area. One of the most buitifull parts of Wales I have ever seen.

Review 14:Thoroughly enjoyed our stay last weekend! Bethan and Mike made us feel right at home and were lovely hosts. We arrived late due to traffic and they couldn't be more welcoming, offering a cup of tea as well :) Breakfast was out of this world, all cooked by Bethan, tasty home produce. Served by Mike, as friendly as anything first thing in the morning. Bethan made us a Sodabread as well and it was amazing! Paul says the cookies were to die for. Nothing was too much closer for them, they pointed us in the right direction for sightseeing and booked a restaurant reservation for us. Very kind couple and had some lovely conversation with them :) we shall definitely be back for a visit when we return from travelling. Thanks for your hospitality!

Review 15:The Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.. the views from the front double bedroom was beautiful. The personal artefacts of the staff in the guest house were nice and interesting to see adding character to the house some of the examples we liked being the old matchbox dinky cars collection and the old cigarette picture cards.

Review 16:Mike and Bethan were wonderful hosts, as well as guides, for our stay in Wales. The rooms were comfortable and the stories were wonderful. We felt right at home. We would go back again in a heartbeat!

Review 17:I spent 4 nights here in mid August and everything was just perfect. From a warm welcome with home made cake and proper tea, to some of the best breakfasts I have ever had, plus lots of little touches that really make this place stand out: home made biscuits for the room, home made bread/jam/marmalade at breakfast, etc, etc. Beth is a great cook and it really shows - she must bake endlessly! Both Mike and Beth are full of tips on what to do in the area; I had an itinerary planned but I am glad I took Beth's advice on a couple of places, including an amazing (and still fairly secret) place on the Llyn peninsula that I am not going to reveal, as I want to keep it for myself. The house is full of character; I stayed in the single room, which has a separate but private bathroom, but there are also two fully ensuite double rooms. About a 20 min walk into Harlech, which is worth it for the views alone! Don't stay anywhere else if you are visting Harlech or nearby!

Review 18:Warm and friendly welcome, perfect accommodation for our stay, excellent breakfasts and the three evening meals we asked for were lovely fresh cooked. Brilliant location for our planned activity week with breath taking scenery with walks from the B&B to the beaches and sand dunes in either direction.

Review 33:I've never been to a place quite like it - everything you could possibly want from a B+B and more. The icing on the cake was being greeted with fresh tea and home-made scones, and leaving with home-made Welsh cake! The owners were incredibly friendly, and were full of local knowledge, which was both interesting and accurate. Definitely going back soon!

Review 34:The weather! But not out of the ordinary in this part of the country we understand.

Review 35:The welcome, the food, the comfort and 2 very nice people as our hosts.

Review 36:Mike and Beth were incredibly welcoming and made us feel very much at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were impeccably clean, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom and stunning sea view. The jar of freshly-made peanut butter cookies that accompanied our room's tea-making facilities epitomised the homely-feel that Frondirion offers. The breakfast was delicious and of a really high quality. My girlfriend and I were only staying in order to attend a wedding nearby this time, but would definitely return to this beautiful area in the future and would stay at Frondirion again without a doubt.

Review 37:Bathroom was next to bedroom, not really a problem as both were spotlessly clean and lovely rooms.

Review 38:Beth is an excellent cook, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with home made soda bread was delicious. Beth and Mike were very welcoming, didn't feel as if I was travelling alone. Walk to beach a few minutes from b and b.
