Reviews for Lazareto Hotel

Review 1:Absent and inattentive staff. No hot water in the evening. Very noisy air conditioning. Bathroom was in the same room as the bedroom without noise and smell isolation. Very expensive

Review 2:Traditional style of the room.

Review 3:Breakfast was extremely poor in fact the eggs were inedible . And no hint whatsoever of any interest on the part of staff.

Review 4:Great location and free upgrade to a suite. Fantastic showers.

Review 5:nothing it was fab

Review 6:Beautiful building, swim straight into the sea, easy walk to monemvasia old town, plenty of parking, gorgeous local beaches. whole hotel has been beautifully restored, really lovely holiday

Review 7:we were disappointed that the restaurant on site was not open.

Review 8:Amazing stone house boutique hotel with its amazing vegetable garden. located in the best location possible.

Review 9:Restaurant was closed at time of visit. Although plenty of choice of site. Breakfast of course was available and was excellent.

Review 10:Fantastic location and scenery with water all around. Just after the causeway, on the island. Very helpful staff who shuffled things around to allow us to stay an extra day. We would have stayed all week if there were vacancies.

Review 11:The location away from old town and the room with a sitting area right by the sea.The staff were really helpful. The breakfast was first-class.The gardens.

Review 12:It depends how far you wanna take it. If I were overly zealous, then being welcomed by ants on the sink & dead fly in the fridge would highly bother me. However on lighter note, I was bothered by the following: Poor WiFi signal. Poor lighting in the room. Lack of a hanger to hang the wet towels or clothes in general. Poor drainage in the bathroom, and as a result water was all over the bathroom. Overly cramped small fridge with no space to accommodate a bottle of milk. We had to take out 12 soda cans & 3 cups & a rack to make some space. Curtains didn't provide sufficient curtsey.

Review 13:Locations proximity to the beach & the ancient city. Parking. Spacious room. Daily housekeeping. Helpful staff. Soft matress. Great heating & ample warm water. Value for money.

Review 14:Bed was a bit noisy due to the base being wooden. The door frames are a bit low for us tall people.

Review 15:Location was excellent, 900m from the village and the castle is far enough away for it to be quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is reasonable. The grounds are maintenance of the premises in general is very good with some lovely attention to detail. Friendly staff. Their Greek of course was excellent and their English was very good. The furniture in the room is there to add to the byzantine feel of the place and it does it very well. I the money charged bearing in mind the location was very reasonable.

Review 16:Nothing.

Review 17:Whilst the idea of staying in the castle sounded romantic, the thought of lugging our suitcases to and from the castle and across cobbled streets, turned me off. I found the Lazareto Hotel had its own parking on its own grounds so we could leave some luggage safely in the car. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were upgraded to a suite which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had out breakfast outside under trees. The breakfast was plentiful with fresh orange juice and even fresh figs. The vegetables were organic, fresh from their own garden. The hotel was a short distance to the beach and across the road from a clean swimming area. The local bus to the castle passed out the front of the hotel.

Review 18:The price could be just a bit less

Review 19:Great location just 10' from the castle, cosy big clean rooms and helpfull personnel. Excellent breakfast at the beautiful yard. Parking is very important at Monemvasia for the luggages and this hotel has it.

Review 20:Excelent location for visiting the old town and only a short stroll across the causeway to Monemvasia village.

Review 21:Beautifull and intruiging !!! Fireplace in the room for cold nights. Nice views all around .Between old and new town , cosy parking !!
