Reviews for Stavros Villas

Review 1:You can't really go without a car or motorbike due to the steep hill. Rooms are basic. Some hidden behind the building.

Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff/family. Nice pool, relative quiet.

Review 3:If you don't have a car oder so, you have to walk quite a bit to Fira busterminal. But it wasn't a problem for us...

Review 4:Free arrival transfer & friendly staff, that organised car rental and exkursion. Brakefast can be eaten there!

Review 5:Slightly far from the beach and centre of Santorini. Not an issue if you have transport though.

Review 6:Staff are incredibly helpful. Arranged out Buggy to be picked up and dropped back at the property. Also arranged a day trip for us. The prices they offer are cheaper than what you would get on the high street. Lovely rooms and hotel would definitely stay again if in Santorini!

Review 7:The door in our bathroom only opened half way and there was a stepgetting into the bathroom that took some getting used to, after we gotsore toes the first day or 2. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The rooms are a bit small. You need a car or motor bike to get to thebeach or to Fira unless you like walking uphill a lot in hot days. Theyare not close, but with transportation the beach or the center of townare just a few minutes drive. But you won't be staying locally muchas there is a lot to see around the entire island which has breathtaking views. Be aware that there are some rooms in the back of thehotel and a couple downstairs with no view..

Review 8:The staff was great and the a/c was working really well as we couldadjust it ourselves with the remote. We liked the big refrigerator andthe sink in the room we had (not all rooms have a mini-kitchen). Likedthe view of the Aegean as well from our balcony and the outdoor poolwas good. Proximity to the local beach and Fira was a plus (with acar). It was a cute hotel (white & blue) with marble throughout andample parking. This is a pretty decent hotel if you are on a budget. There are stores, restaurants and 2 bakeries nearby without having togo into town.

Review 9:There wasn't a view of the ocean and was a little in land but to be honest it didn't really affect us as we spent very minimal time at the hotel.

Review 10:The staff went out of their way to make us happy and accomodate us. Organised quad bikes for us that where waiting upon arrival and a descent price and had provided activities to do on the island.

Review 11:Stavros and his daughters were extremely friendly and welcoming. Stavros personally picked us up (despite arriving at 4AM) to and from the airport. From there, we were able to book ATV and other services through them. We had a few flight delays and room change, and they were all very accommodating of it. All in all, it's a great price for a basic place to stay!

Review 12:location, quite a walk up a hill to the small village & bus stop.

Review 13:Clean room with a good shower. Large sunny balcony with views across fields to the sea.

Review 14:It's a bit more than 20min to Thera, rather 30-40 min depending on your walking skills (uphill..)

Review 15:Very friendly staff, clean and spacious room, great value for money

Review 16:When we returned to the hotel at 10pm, the wifi was not connecting at all and the reception was closed for the evening - so this lasted all night into the next morning when I had to ask for the modem to be reset. Breakfast, which was not included and cost €5, was comprised of stale toast, a small piece of coffee cake, and an egg. 30 minute walk into Fira.

Review 17:Stavros and his daughter were very friendly and informed us of different excursion options. Stavros was kind enough to offer to drive me to the port at 6AM.

Review 18:I loved my stay in Stavros! The family makes you feel at home and welcomes you with open arms. They are very caring and help you with everything. I would stay here again when I come back to Greece! Thank you :)

Review 19:the location is quite inconvenient. the walk to the nearest bus station is far and bus schedule is usually infrequent and unpredictable making it basically not feasible to take the bus. so we took taxi to fira instead to change to other buses, which cost 5 euro.

Review 20:free pickup to and from airport, extremely efficient replying to email enquiries, friendly staff (they are actually a family run business and the whole family was friendly and helpful - there was no water kettle originally but they gave me one straight away once i asked for it, same for extra blankets). they really care about your needs. on the day of check in they even made us coffee and tea and gave us a map of santorini showing where all the attractions are and stavros, the owner, showed us where all the supermarkets are. the rooms are very spacious and beautiful, and they provide a lot of utensils and cups. all in all extremely good value for money and i had a great time.

Review 21:We have a group of 7 of us... Initially I've booked for a room for 7 of us... But the owner was kind enough to give us 2rooms with a room of 3 and a room of 4 with the price for what we've booked earlier in booking.com... Free transportation service provided from airport to hotel and also hotel to ferry terminal... Staffs were very nice and friendly...

Review 22:wouldn´t go for the breakfast - but there is a wonderful bakery in town (yum!) and a café opposite from it (take away coffee is cheaper)!

Review 23:Very friendly staff, small family-run hotel, very helpful with all questions (renting scooter, tours to go on); free pick-up from the airport; supermarket within 15 min. walking distance; beach 2 km distance (downhill); have to rent some kind of transportation to get out and about!

Review 24:no kitchen tools, only a pot, no pan or else, a bit distance to city center, also to bus stop and have to change bus from fira to oia, of course have to pay again. so if you have transportation I recommend, but if not I don't. often miscommunication cause pretty dissapointment.

Review 25:clean everyday. nice pool. airport shuttle (but no time option when leave, so had to wait in the airport over 3 hours, still thank you for drop off) tried to be friendly. dad was kind

Review 26:the location is a little of the beaten track but if you hire car/atv this would not be an issue, plus there is a bus stop a 20 minute walk away.

Review 27:Hotel is run by a lovely family who made us feel welcome from moment we arrived. They collected us and dropped us back to the port, organised boat trips and car rental for us. Pool was a nice size and room was large, clean and had air con. Would definitely recommend staying here to a friend as great value for money!

Review 28:Our stay was made memorable thanks to the incredible hospitality from Stavros, who goes out of his way to assist your stay in Santorini and make sure you have everything you need. What a guy!

Review 29:N/A

Review 30:Family run

Review 31:Older

Review 32:Staff were great very helpful

Review 33:Great staff! When I arrived I was without shoes and the lovely lady at reception loaned me a pair of her shoes for me to use!

Review 34:Stavros and his daughter were amazing!! So helpful and really cared about your stay with them

Review 35:The warmth and hospitality of this family-run hotel is unbeatable. Professional, kind and courteous service.

Review 36:Far from other facilities. Very basic room.

Review 37:Port pick up service. It does have a pool.

Review 38:Not a lively location.

Review 39:Great price. Clean. Nice homemade breakfast. Close to the airport.

Review 40:Its not that I didn't like walking up and down the steep hill for food, drink and bus stops, but you do need to be in shape to stay here without renting some sort of transportation.

Review 41:The staff/ family are very friendly and extremely helpful. Stavros drives all customers just about anywhere and time. The view from my balcony was beautiful. The pool was perfect for relaxing and cooling off.

Review 42:It was a bit of a distance to Fira and we loved the walk but if you had small children, you need to consider transportation.

Review 43:We loved the fact that Stavros will pick you up at either the ferry or airport and will drop you off upon departure. We were a large group staying at Stavros and they hosted a BBQ introducing us to Greek cuisine. They helped arrange quad rentals and tickets for boat excursions. While it is a little walk to Fira, there are nearby local restaurants and markets that met every need we had. There were 4 people in our room and we had lots of space so this was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend.

Review 44:Such a nice family! We enjoyed our stay very much, some good family run restaurants close by, and we rented an ATV to get around the island, short ride to Fira. The pool was very pleasant.

Review 45:We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our time in Santorini! The family that run Stavros couldn't be lovelier or more helpful and we're so greatful to have crossed their paths. Facility was amazing, perfect views, clean room and a nice shower!

Review 46:The location was far (all up hill) to any restaurants and shopping. Thebreakfast was a little disappointing. They do not want to take creditcards, only cash, to pay for the room which was a big surprise. Itshould have been stated both on their website and Booking.com.

Review 47:Steve and his family were fabulous and very accommodating. The roomswere basic but comfortable and clean.

Review 48:Stavros and his family were absolutely amazing!!! Excellent value for money! It is a bit of a walk to the beach or into Fira, but this did not bother us one bit. Staves and his daughters were happy to help with anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!!

Review 49:the stavros family are very accomodating. our stay at their hotel was excellent!
