Reviews for Troedyrhiw Holiday Cottages
Review 1:This booking was made at very short notice but everything was ready for us on arrival. Oak Cottage was excellently fitted out and had everything we needed; overall, a great place for the two of us to get away for a short period.
Review 2:The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't stay for longer! So much to do, so little time.
Review 3:Our trip here was absolutely amazing. We are 24 and 25, stayed for 4 nights and didn't want to leave! The cottage we stayed in "the coach house" was beautiful, everything we needed, including complimentary logs for the wood burner and Welsh rock cakes. There is a paddock next door with a family of friendly kune kune pigs, goats and horses, we also befriended the local dog Meg! The owners were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you! We would recommend the boat trip " a bay to remember", we saw plenty of seals and Dolphins in cardigan bay. Also worth a trip to the local zoo, had so much fun here with the petting zoo too and on the dodgems etc, even without any kids. Absolutely wonderful time and plan to return again next year!
Review 4:Maybe I miscalculated the location but for us it was just a little too remote.
Review 5:The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed and more. The setting around the cottages was very nice.
Review 6:The property was perfect, everything you could need and more. Clean and luxurious. The setting was beautiful and picturesque with lots of fun things to do on the doorstep!
Review 7:The road to the cottage was single track and was a bit bumpy. Could so with lights and resurface.
Review 8:The cottage was on a lovely farm where we were welcomed by the owner who told us about the local area and where we could visit. In the cottage we had guest information on local restaurants which we found useful. The cottage itself was well-decorated and looked after, with a log fire to keep us warm in the evenings. A cosy environment to rest and relax after a busy day exploring Pembrokeshire. The farm animals provided entertainment and improved the experience in that it added character to the surroundings.
Review 9:Lovely cottage with fantastic facilities in a beautiful location. The hosts were extremely helpful and even found us a game of scrabble which we asked for!
Review 10:I actually searched for holiday cottages & arrived assuming I had, it came as a shock to find it was a B&B. We cut short our visit and a full refund was offered.
Review 11:The location was idyllic, friendly staff and a superb breakfast served in a traditional Farmhouse setting.
Review 12:It was only a few miles but you did need to drive to get food or do as we did and make sure you bring it with you.
Review 13:The cottage was nicely decorated, very clean and really well equiped for self catering. The position was lovely and it was really quiet.
Review 14:We had a very enjoyable stay. Everything was spotless and comfortable. 5* accommodation and the owners were wonderful. Their free range eggs are fantastic! We hope to visit here again soon.
Review 15:No have much food option around the area. Hard to find what you are looking. Also there is not much customer care matter involved. Important thing no good wifi or mobile coverage.
Review 16:Liked the location as it's located few miles from the beach.
Review 17:We could not fault our accomodation or hosts.
Review 18:Immaculately clean and beautifully renovated cottages in a quiet and peaceful location, yet just minutes from amenities. The owners were friendly and welcoming . Super comfy beds and very well equipped. A very relaxing few days.
Review 19:wifi tiny bit slow but fine for most things!
Review 20:the quiet , the location, ease of check in check out, piglets and horses in the field! Great facilities big rooms, friendly owners!
Review 21:Can't fault anything
Review 22:Even though we messed up our booking the staff were more than happy to help us making our engagement weekend a special one! Can't thank them enough.we will be returning soon!
Review 23:What is not to like?
Review 24:Set a mile or so down a country track opposite Penparc School off the Cardigan to Aberystwyth road in rural West Wales. Peace and quiet with countryside and coast on the door step and all mod cons at hand.
Review 25:Lovely place far from the main road. Very peaceful and picturesque. Good self catering facilities and friendly owners. I hope we will go back one day!
Review 26:It's hard to pick just 1 thing we most enjoyed about our stay at Troedyrhiw Holiday Cottages. The cottage was warm, inviting, with all the modern touches you could possibly need to feel at home, all presented in a homely, clean, welcoming way. The owners made us feel instantly at home, and our daughter was even given a guided tour of the onsite animals and baby piglets!! We will definitely be returning.
Review 27:The whole stay for us was very peasant indeed! We were greeted on arrival by name and shown around our cottage! Owners were very pleasant throughout stay and made us feel very welcome. We were left alone but had the confidence that they were close by and helpful should we have needed their assistance with anything. The location is excellent, rural and piecful yet just a 5 minute drive from the main costal road between Cardigan and Aberporth with Cardigan less than a 10 minute drive away. We stayed at Gorse Cottage and it was brilliant. Exceptionally clean and the facilities were excellent and exactly as we'd wanted. A very cosy log fire with enough wood provided for the 2 night stay and Wi fi if you wanted to stay in touch with the world as there is no mobile signal on EE or O2 which wasn't an issue for us. I would recommend this location to anyone and wouldn't hesitate in booking again!
Review 28:That we only had a couple of nights - will be going back for more!
Review 29:Accommodation is to a really good standard and the location is just beautiful. Owners are on site, but you'd never know - until you need something when nothing is too much trouble (thanks again...).
Review 30:The cottage was absolutely beautiful .. I want to come back again and stay soon .. Lucky with the sunny weather and it was so nice to wake up to silence ...
Review 31:Although an upgrade was given due to the building work during the day(3 bedrooms one couple). This made our stay one in which we had to vacate the cottage to find peace during the day ... not as relaxing a stay as we had hoped.
Review 32:location and access to the coast
Review 33:Nil I would stay there again.
Review 34:As you were within a working farm complex you got the rural feeling, closeness to nature and the animals but with very little (if any) noise. The private terrace was a great place for a lazy breakfast. Also all facilities and amenities were close at hand. A lovely place to spend a relaxing few days.
Review 35:Nothing. Wifi was slow (if I'm really picky), but we're on holiday so wasn't an issue.
Review 36:Lovely location, lovely cottage. Near to the coast yet feels remote. Loved it!
Review 37:Bed was a bit on the soft side.
Review 38:The cottage was homely and well equipped with all necessary amenities. Particularly impressive: Fully equipped kitchen even in the small 2 person cottage, additional wood fireplace complete with wood supply. The place has some animals, which our 2-year-old loved. The cottage also has a large wooden deck that we enjoyed.
Review 39:can't seem to see another short break slot available this summer :-(
Review 40:short break option in summer-fantastic! :-) peacefulness beautiful location the eggs!

Review 42:We stayed in the B&B accommodation and it was excellent. Very comfortable and quiet. Christine looked after us very well and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. All in all a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.
Review 43:It was a bit difficult to find the cottages, needs a sign at the entrance to the track.
Review 44:Cottage was well equipped and in a great location, real home from home. Wifi was appreciate by teenagers as there was only patchy mobile coverage.
Review 45:After coming from the hustle and bustle of London, this was a wonderful escape. The location was absolutely beautiful, quiet, remote, perfect if you're looking for a break. They were absolutely very welcoming, even provided fresh eggs for us in the morning for very good money. The cottage was very well equipped with anything one might need, from kitchen stuff to speakers. We enjoyed our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer.
Review 46:The only thing to improve is the wifi, the signal is very weak it barely works.
Review 47:It is a lovely cottage, very quiet, clean and perfect for resting, and relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need, microwave, oven, even dishwasher, everything working, It has a lovely decking and fireplace. I recommend it 100%
Review 48:No service for mobile phones. Was not particularly easy to find.
Review 49:We were greeted on arrival. Made to feel very welcome by all the family. Very helpful. Very informative. Would definitely visit again.
Review 50:The staff were non existent. Our cottage was open when we arrived and we were not greeted or told where to go for anything we might need. Granted, there was a detailed welcome manual, but sometimes you just need a friendly face to touch base with. We wanted to buy eggs from the main house but weren't sure where to ask. When we left, still no sign if anyone! But regardless, we had a lovely time.
Review 51:It was a great cottage, immaculately clean and had all the amenities you could want. Nice touch with welcome basket of Welsh cakes and tea and coffee. Lovely deck to eat breakfast overlooking the farm and listening to the river.

Review 107:Feel the cottage could have been cleaner - there was a malteaser under the sofa from previous guest !! I felt the need to put all cutlery & crockery through the dishwasher to ensure they were clean. No place in bathroom for toilet roll While cottage slept 4 only soft seating for 3 ( sofa & armchair )
Review 108:The location was excellent and very private. My older children loved the animals. I loved tha walking Appreciated tea & coffee sachets on arrival Love the wood burning stove
Review 109:We stayed in Oak Cottage and one bedroom was upstairs and one downstairs. The only bathroom was downstairs which meant walking half asleep to the toilet in the night.
Review 110:Loved the quiet location and being surrounded by small farm animals around the courtyard. Lovely views & very peaceful.
Review 111:Bed was a little hard. Could do with black out curtains as it was quite bright in the morning.
Review 112:Beautiful location. Excellent service, the couple running the b&b were really friendly and welcoming. There was a wood burning stove roaring in the lounge area ready for our arrival. And we were even given a lift to our car which was left at the wedding venue we had attended the night before to save us catching a taxi, 8miles away. All rooms were spotless. Sky TV in lounge area and free wifi excellent as we had no mobile signal. Massive choice available for breakfast. We would definitely stay again, and take the kids and dog next time and stay in one of the cottages, as they would love the farm animals and beautiful scenery.
Review 113:Nothing, very accurate description of accommodation, location and facilities.
Review 114:Quality accommodation in a secluded position but within 10 minutes of Cardigan. You will love it.
Review 115:Fabulous location, you can't help but relax and unwind here! Children wonderfully catered for too. The cottage was excellent and had everything we needed!
