Reviews for Greenway Barn
Review 1:The location was perfect. It's set in the Devon hills overlooking the River Dart with the sun setting opposite. The barn has been converted beautifully. The rooms are beautiful as is the communal lounge and dining room. The owners couldn't be more friendly, welcoming, accommodating, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was superb. The highlight was sitting in the hot tub at night, looking up at the stars with a glass of wine. I can't rate it highly enough!
Review 2:My bed was squeaky but Charlie ensured us he didn't know and would fix this for future guests
Review 3:Gorgeous property ! Quiet . Great breakfast ! Nice shower .

Review 9:We received a very warm welcome to this beautiful bed and breakfast. It's position, above the estuary, is peaceful and picturesque. We were given a wide choice for breakfast, which was delicious. The produce was all locally sourced.
Review 10:The property and its location exceeded the stunning photography on the web. The hospitality of the host who was impectably polite and happy to answer questions about the renovation of this ancient barn.
Review 11:The setting is beautiful with a tranquil view over the river. Charlie and his wife were brilliant hosts, even picking us up from the pub in the rain. We'll be back!

Review 13:location, views, peace, breakfast, great welcome, hot tub, sky sports and games room
Review 14:When booking with booking .com be aware that they do not make it clear that you have to pay the owners direct. I was about to leave after 3 fantastic days break when the owner had the embarrassment of having to ask me to pay. So remember to take cheque book or cash as they don't take the card,
Review 15:Excellent location, quality accommodation, very friendly owners. Sitting in the garden looking out towards Dartmouth watching the sun go down, what more is there to ask.
Review 16:Going home and leaving it all behind.
Review 17:Everything from arriving and being greeted with a wonderful view and Charlie. He makes you feel you are welcomed into his home. He cooks a fabulous breakfast too. Highly recommended.
Review 18:Nothing at all (except being thrashed at table tennis by Charlie and Jelena's 7 year old grandson!)
Review 19:Greenway Barn is in an amazing position overlooking the river Dart and close to many superb and interesting attractions. the owners Charlie and Jelena were most welcoming and made us feel at home, catering for our every need. The breakfasts, prepared by Charlie, were extensive and served in a very interesting dining area with glimpses of the Dart. This set us up for the day. One could not wish for a more comfortable bedroom with a spacious and very modern en-suite. The beautiful equipped lounge was interestingly furnished and the large wood fire welcomed in the evenings.
Review 20:I was looking forward to the stay after reading such excellent reviews, and it lived up to all expectations. The room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the extras such as the guest lounge, as well.
Review 21:Warm welcome from host. We arrived early and he was happy for us to book in then. He suggested local walks or we were free to enjoy the sun terrace with fantastic views of the River Dart. The barn conversion was beautifully furnished and breakfast was fantastic.
Review 22:Price! Difficult to find in the dark, cutlery and crockery could do with updating. Not all of the advertised facilities were available.

Review 63:The views were excellent.. the location was quite and tucked away...
Review 64:no tv in room although access to one in lounge. Warning about narrow bumpy track to property would be good (we have a low sports car).

Review 66:Great hosts and great location. Really enjoyed our stay at Greenway Barn. Even got upgraded for no extra charge. Would definately recommend staying here.
Review 67:There were no issues in our stay.
Review 68:My mum got married on Friday 16th may. There was a music festival on in Dartmouth and I was struggling to find places to stay at a good price. When we arrived at Greenway barn we were greeted by Charlie and his very friendly dog Leia, Charlie was very welcoming and showed us around the beautiful converted barn. Charlie very kindly gave us some plates and glasses so we could eat our dinner and have some wine out the front, overlooking the amazing view. Our room was beautiful and very clean and a fantastic en suit bathroom. We spent the evening in the games room playing ping pong and pool. We then went in the jacuzzi and Charlie lit a fire in the guest living room for when we got out. The breakfast was varied and delicious and catered for everyone. I have already recommended this fabulous place to friends and family and we will definitely be returning in the summer! Definitely worth a visit!
Review 69:Charlie was a wonderful host looking forward to another visit later I'm year . Great full English ,Fab views, fab location. Will bring the kids next time plus a cozy for the hot tub .
Review 70:The setting, in beautiful, peaceful countryside, has amazing views. The accommodation is extremely elegant and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and could not have been more helpful. Charlie turned on the hot tub for us and we had lifts when needed. The breakfast was delicious and altogether it was a wonderful place to stay!
Review 71:Rooms spartan, old fashioned and not to my taste. We were expecting modern accommodation. Found Barn cold but would be fine in warmer weather. Dog allowed to roam around ground floor not everyone likes dogs!
Review 72:Owner affable and obliging. Breakfast excellent.
Review 73:Warm welcome, even though we were later than expected. Great breakfast to set us up for the day. Location had spectacular views of river and viaduct for steam railway. An idyllic spot.
Review 74:We had the most wonderful welcome and stay at Greenway Barn. The location is tranquil and the accommodation sumptuous! Great big fluffy towels and dressing gowns - a breakfast fit for a king - we even got to take the owner's lovely dog for a walk! We thoroughly recommend a stay here and we will most certainly be going back!
Review 75:Little bit difficult to find with a GPS for french guys ! ;)
Review 76:Very good evening at Greenway Barn, quality of housing and reception is really high compare with the price paid ! Very good rooms, beautilful view of the river, wonderful english breakfast and nice evening at the closest pub : The Manner Inn ! And the top bonus : outdoor bathtub !!
Review 77:I have to travel on business quite a lot over the course of a year, and as such stay in a variety of places. Without doubt, this is the best place I have stayed for a very very long time. Clean, beautiful decor, friendly helpful owners, stunning views and a great atmosphere. The standard of decor and comfort here is of the highest order and better than most hotels at 4 star level, who would not be able to offer the great value offered here. I rarely complete surveys for hotels, as they tend to blur in to being the same, BUT - if you stay here, you will be made to feel most welcome and have a really comfortable stay, with the most incredible views. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Review 78:It would have been nice to have a t.v. in our room. Internet signal was a problem. But these are things we should learn to live without while away from the hustle and bustle of life!
Review 79:Absolutely beautiful barn conversion. Spacious bedroom. Excellent breakfast. Lovely bathroom with a fantastic shower. Hosts very friendly.
Review 80:There was nothing I didn't like.
