Reviews for Premier Inn Guildford North - A3
Review 1:The road access to the hotel is on a road that has one way past it so you come in and leave facing the same direction away from Guildford
Review 2:It was a good location for access to Guildford and the surrounding area. The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly
Review 3:Restaurant service
Review 4:Poor service at meal times .. Requested waitress to place order twice but ignored Breakfast was too much service ... Two waitresses stood by my table and cleared plates before I had finished.
Review 5:Entrance road surrounded by Beefeater signs instead of Premier Inn and no path from car park to entrance. Noisy night with traffic as hotel is surrounded by busy roads and windows not sealed. A door between the hotel and adjoining Beefeater is locked only during breakfast hours, so you have to walk outside, on the road, all the way around the buildings to get your breakfast.
Review 6:free parking, en-suit, lift.
Review 7:We waited 30mins for our dishes to be taken form our mains.i had to stop a different waitress to ask for the bill as we gave up thinking about a dessert. The man on the next table had a 20month old child with him and been waiting 40 mind for his food. Very disappointing
Review 8:The location
Review 9:Parking between 6pm and 10pm is atrocious due to the patrons at the nearby Beefeater restaurant.
Review 10:Rooms are super quiet. Didn't hear anybody next door to our room during the four nights we were there.
Review 11:Reception Staff were a little slow. One visitor was SO loud at Reception that we had to shout above them to make ourselves heard.
Review 12:Usual excellent standard of comfort & cleanliness, & quiet night.
Review 13:Breakfast could be better - self service hot area was poor in that no napkins available for very hot plates and quality of eggs was poor as the fried eggs were undercooked and we had to wait quite a time. There was very limited soft seating to have a drink before eating and what seating there was, was by the main door which let in icy air all the time.
Review 14:Reception staff and evening restaurant staff very friendly.
Review 15:Great room, everything clean and tidy, plenty of hot water and staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady on the desk in the morning. Breakfast at the beefeater next door was fab too
Review 16:When it came to checking out there were no staff in sight for over 10 minutes after continuously pressing the buzzer and this was whilst the alarm was going off!!
Review 17:A little slow in seating you at breakfast time but they were extremely busy and still very friendly.
Review 18:Excellent location close to the University which was the purpose of my stay. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 19:Didn't have any bad experiences
Review 20:Friendly staff as soon as we got there and we were very late and worried we missed dinner, but was surprised that the restaurant was still serving
Review 21:However the duvet was too heavy. The soap dispenser needed filling. It was disappointing to find that there wasn't any lotion or shampoo.
Review 22:The room was basically clean and well presented. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Easy well lit parking felt secure.
Review 23:Given 1 large and 1 small towel for two people for 2 nights. Grudgingly given another large towel but told "policy" is to share small towel. How incredibly petty and penny pinching. Advertise a reasonable price then it rockets for the second night. Sign posting to reception would be logical on this stretched site. Site sandwiched between two main roads.
Review 24:Noise of fan in bathroom & having to keep door shut in it. Too hot a quilt & heating too hot. Only one hand towel & one comfortable chair for 2 people to use
Review 25:Room good. Food good. Parking ok.
Review 26:Room was too warm, even tho' we had the air conditioning on as low as it would go - ie 19 degrees. If we opened the window at night, the traffic was too noisy & interfered with our sleep.
Review 27:The friendly, smiling, helpful staff. The bed. The ability to open a window.
Review 28:Breakfast didn't go well - big queue with no one moving - not sure what the problem was as no one was available to explain - ended up cancelling and getting money back - not a major problem for us but could have been if that was the only option
Review 29:Very helpful and friendly staff. prepared a spare bed at 9pm with no bother at all and ensured extra towels too.
Review 30:Bath/shower access impossible - unsafe. Lack of room phone for overseas visitor a huge problem. Poor restaurant facility.
Review 31:Comfortable bed. Pleasant and helpful staff
Review 32:Nothing!
Review 33:Welcome was like a 5 star hotel! Clean comfy room, great location & had a great value meal and bottle of wine at beefeater next door - so all in all perfect!
Review 34:Slow service in the restaurant in the evenings - not due to slack staff - just too few of them. Breakfast was OK but on one morning the cooked buffet was overwhelmed.
Review 35:Very helpful friendly staff with a 'can do' attitude.
Review 36:We were in the Annex, on the side nearest the road and it was v. noisy at times, and we had to keep the window shut. Not v keen on the restaurant facilities
Review 37:easy access byPark & R ide to centre of Guildford. Plenty of easy parking on site.
Review 38:I think the tiles in the reception are need replacing as they looked grubby. Also the corridor leading to the pub could be spruced up. The wifi was slow and one night the server crashed so no wifi at all was available.
Review 39:The location was very handy and there was plenty of parking. There was a bath in the bathroom.
Review 40:The only thing we could fault was the size of the bed. A little to small.
Review 41:Good location and easy to find. Friendly and welcoming staff. Reception, bar area etc. all the staff were lovely. Good breakfast.
Review 42:I could not say anything more, but I am satisfied better than other hotel like- Travel lodge... I think I will always look for Premier Inn the next time of our travel and for sure I will recommend this to all my friends and relatives.
Review 43:Room next to fire door - noise from opening/shutting from other guests. Site adjacent to busy crossroads - high traffic noise when window open Eggs for breakfast only available by order. Initially only one hand towel provided for 2 guests Quilt far too heavy for summer
Review 44:Car parking Room facilities
Review 45:Free wifi is no existent. We stayed for 3 nights and maybe had 10 minsof wifi the whole trip. The hotel staff were not bothered and uponcheckout was told duty manager would contact regarding complaint. Henever did email. Parking is a nightmare as spaces used by pub restaurantnext door. Minor issues; No chain on bath plug so hard to pull out, light bulbs blown in room, no shower gel as housekeeping didi not checkit was empty. We tried to use said restaurant one evening. Went to check if we needed to book. Told turn up at 8pm. We did turn up at 8pm ...was then told 25 minute wait as we had not booked...GGRRR. The restaurant shut at 10 so would have been a rush to eat in time.
Review 46:Comfy bed, clean room
Review 47:Only one easy chair. No adjustable hand held shower head.
Review 48:Good contact with personnel at the reception with tips for restaurants. Personnel very helpful
Review 49:Asked for double bed but got 2 singles and was in a disabled room with wet room and floor was wet and quite grubby Asked to change rooms was told nothing was available
Review 50:Breakfast was good
Review 51:We found it a bit difficult to find the entrance in the dark in the middle of the night and find an empty parking space.
Review 52:Knowing that we could expect a clean comfortable room when we arrived very late after a wedding.
Review 53:It would be nice to have had 2 chairs in the room but we were told that we could have requested another. The voiles at the window needed pressing. The air conditioning in the adjacent restaurant was rather aggressive!
Review 54:A very warm welcome at reception and all the Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bed was sooooooooooooo comfortable!
Review 55:Parking was difficult. We had to drive from reception to our room.
Review 56:Comfortable, large room. Nice bathroom. The staff were local and helpful in answering our queries about the local area.
Review 57:Loved the pillows, bed was amazing and very comfortable. Room very clean! Very efficient and friendly receptionist called Jackie, who was really helpful and lovely, please give her great feedback as she deserved it! Loved being next to Beefeater for food!
Review 58:Very disappointed with the breakfast no eggs no mushrooms and very little anything else no pastries only bread for toasting no rolls asked for eggs and mushrooms and manager said he would bring to table but never arrived
Review 59:Free Wifi
Review 60:Breakfast was good, but service let this otherwise excellent hotel down. Advertised porridge made if you requested it, this we did and then although only a few customers in at the time it took an extremely long time to come, and only after two requests. On arrival it was warm and obvious it had been made some minutes but not served straight away. Following morning same happened although that time it was still hot. Staff in restaurant at breakfast time could do well to copy the hotel reception staff
Review 61:Hotel reception staff very helpful. Needed to print off flight boarding pass and staff more than happy to do so. Gave directions and telephone number of a shop we needed to visit in Woking, plus told us where best to park. Reception went the extra mile by telephoning the shop to ensure the item we required was in stock so saving us a wasted journey
Review 62:The rooms were very hot even with the air conditioning unit on and the corridors were airless and baking. The bedding seemed too heavy for June weather.
Review 63:The staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient and helpful and the bed was comfy and the room clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choice.
Review 64:Nothing.
Review 65:The no fuss, simple check-in and -out, the comfort & cleanliness and the ease of finding the Beefeater restaurant from the room. Everything worked!
Review 66:Couldn't get the options on the breakfast menu. Buffet only, no ordering. Not sure why.
Review 67:Well located, busy ring road, but room quiet and lots of green space minutes away and easy walk into town. Great reception staff
Review 68:Small Room Very Small bathroom No fridge No facilities for small children in hotel Old furniture You can hear sounds from next rooms clearly
Review 69:WiFi Breakfast Lovely Staff Location
Review 70:Beefeater breakfast service in waiting to be seen and seated on arrival slow and poor.
Review 71:Friendliness, charm and personal interest of the two guys on hotel reception.
Review 72:I was told by the receptionist on duty on the day of arrival that I could have a newspaper on both days. When I did not receive one on the first day the receptionist on duty replied that had not been available for a number of years!?!
Review 73:The bed
Review 74:The lift wasnt working and we were put on the 2nd floor, mother has bad leg and walks with a stick. so climbing the stairs each time was a problem.
Review 75:The hotel room was comfortable and clean, bed was really comfortable.
Review 76:Breakfast..well, got off to a bad start as when we entered the restaurant we tried to ask where to sit and the waitress turned her back on us and carried on talking to another member of staff. We eventually were seated and as we went to get our food the same waitress knocked over all the glasses. After a long wait it was cleared although we were asked several times why we were not going to get our food and I had to explain (!) that we didn't want to walk over broken glass! Overall the staff in the morning were completely uninterested in anything and we couldn't wait to leave. A shame because we have stayed here before and enjoyed ourselves but this has really out us off. Sorry!
Review 77:Very friendly and welcoming reception staff. Very good meal in the restaurant and the nicest waitress (Resa?) that you could wish for.
Review 78:No phone in room to call reception. I had a problem loading the internet and had to keep going down to get help. Also how would you get a wake up call if one was needed.
Review 79:Bed / Pillow - Excellent Bathroom - Extremely clean
Review 80:The toliet paper in the bathroom is the only thing I would change.
Review 81:The staff were amazing so helpful and friendly, the room was lovely and clean and the beds were extremely comfortable
Review 82:at some times loud banging from upstairs, as we were on ground floor, and children running up and down the corridor early in the morning at 7ish,
Review 83:easy located to town center and other amenities.
Review 84:The beds are the most comfortable. We would have booked breakfast but find it hard getting up in time as it's a pleasure to have a lie in with the lovely beds.
Review 85:Bouncy bit of hotel - if underneath you can hear everything above. Connecting rooms - you can hear tv and snoring next door.
Review 86:Staff friendliness - bothered to know my name and help to accommodate me. Food. Gym and swim. Beds and general room look and feel.
Review 87:Could do with a few more tea and coffee sachets in room. Two of each for two people seems a bit frugal. Waiting time in restaurant was totally unacceptable compounded by waiting over 30 mins to get starters. Kitchen staff letting down front of house.
Review 88:Easily accessible location. Comfortable bed.
Review 89:We were most impressed with the professionalism of the front office staff when we arrived late at night. They put us at ease after a trying journey and showed personal sympathy for our experience on the M25
Review 90:Woke up at 8am by someone in the room above us walking around. Very annoying as I was hungover :( Other than that the place was great. So ask for the top floor!
Review 91:Staff was very good. Receptionist was very helpful. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in a hotel.
Review 92:A receptionist was very un-friendly and was not polite at all. We also did not have a hair-dryer in our room. Other receptionists were very professional and friendly however
Review 93:I stayed for 10 days and was buying internet voucher on daily basis and didn't know that I could go for one week subsicription for far less( staff/customer services)issue.
Review 94:The coziness of the place.
Review 95:breakfast service was very poor,i had to wait for scrambled eggs for about 20mins and many people were also complaining about that
Review 96:room was excellent.bed comfortable, massive shower for the first.im always given a room with a tub,but this time it was different and was happy about that
Review 97:Very heavy and, therefore, hot duvet. Could be a bit more "wi-fi friendly".
Review 98:The comfortable mattress and quietness of the (empty) hotel - in the best location for my needs on this visit. A very personable staff-member at check-out.
Review 99:Even though we booked well in advance we were put in a disabled person's room. Also the air conditioning was on the wall next to the bed and very noisy. It was a very cold night so we had to suffer it all night.
Review 100:Easy to find Breakfast good Staff friendly Parking good
Review 101:Nothing.For a first visit we were impressed. It was all good and we will use Premier again. .
Review 102:The comfy , king sized bed. Clean bathroom, no mouldy grouting! Generous sized towels. Good sized room. Friendly staff, especially those who serviced the rooms. Great breakfast at adjacent Beefeater. Good value for money.
Review 103:Allocated a room next to the boiler which fired up several times during the night which disturbed our sleep
Review 104:Good location, friendly staff and convenient car parking.
Review 105:We made the booking through Booking.com and the price we paid stated breakfast was included but on arrival we were charged for breakfast again when paying for our stay. (we did receive a refund after we returned home and checked the deatils of our booking and complained to the hotel and Booking.com. The hotel is situated a little way from the town centre and on a very busy dual carriageway.
Review 106:The hotel was comfortable and clean. We were lucky to stay in the annex part and not the main hotel which was quiet. The following morning we did over hear a woman complaining that she had been awake with her young child most of the night due to noise in the main hotel, She also added that when she complained she was told there was nothing that could be done as there were a few wedding parties staying in the hotel.
Review 107:Had to turn off air conditioning / heating as it roared like a tractor after being on for 5 minutes Bright corridor light shone under the door, lightening the room Noisy guests on the floor above between 2 - 3am, obviously beyond the hotel's control Tea / coffee supplies meagre
Review 108:Bed extremely comfortable.Lovely, soft, snuggly bed linen Well laid out room, with two chairs which was useful.good lighting and mirrors Well insulated windows, could not hear road noise Lovely to be able to eat in the adjoining restaurant for dinner and the breakfast selection was brilliant
Review 109:One way access out of hotel to main road means to get back to A3 and Guildford vehicles have to do u turn in Spectrum car park. Can add £3 onto taxi fare just to turn round! Also not close to any train station for trips to London, add £7 each way.
Review 110:Close to Spectrum Leisure centre so no need to pay for Hotel with pool!. Free wifi for 1 hr in both Hotel and adjacent Beefeater. Food for all family was very good at Beefeater and breakfast time. Usual comfy beds inc one for daughter. Easy air con control.
Review 111:Only problem I had was that I was woken up three times in the night as I was in room 212 and outside my door was also the corridor door so every time someone opened the door to go to their room banged the door on the rubber door stop and it felt they was knocking your door down apart from that great stay.
Review 112:Great location easy to find speedy check in & out very easy to have a drink & a bite to eat great service would stop again
Review 113:only 1 bath towel on arrival had to find a domestic, and get another one, no hairdryer in the room this time and no telephone.
Review 114:comfy bed, shower very good.
Review 115:Whilst I love the bathroom fittings, it is very difficult to reach the toilet paper when sitting on the toilet! It is behind one's left shoulder. Could this be altered? Also, the soap is high up at the foot of the bath, ideal for a shower, but one can't reach it when in the bath!
Review 116:Ground floor room with handles for everything in the bathroom! Bed is very comfortable. I like not having to go outside to get to the restaurant for dinner or breakfast.
Review 117:No hairdryer in room. Too much of a nuisance to keep going to front desk to borrow a hairdryer as suggested in note in the room
Review 118:Staff in restaurant were helpful, friendly and attentive to all my needs. The meals were good value for money. A quiet location- no disturbance from traffic.
Review 119:Our stay was spoilt by drunks from a wedding party, when we complained about the noise the receptionist was not really bothered nothing was done and they did not honour their good noght guarantee !
Review 120:Our last stay here 1 year ago gave me the best nights sleep i had ever had, but this time that was not the case, the mattress was not as comfortable and my sleep was not as good as I hoped for! Sadly Beefeater has taken over the dining and this was terrible food but the staff were lovely and very attentive.
Review 121:Good location the size of the room was more than ample.
Review 122:Customer service was awful .. was first told I didn't have a booking 'with no help to find out why' then it was!! Oh yes its here .. the restaurant service was awful ..they definitely have issues with organisation our evening was a total wash out and disappointment ..
Review 123:Rooms comfort location food
Review 124:The staff were very polite and welcoming. Accommodation was very clean and in excellent condition. Loved the unexpected soft fluffy towels? Easy access to The Goodwood revival.
Review 125:As a late booker the only choice I had of a room was a disabled one. Small bed therefore poor nights sleep, room very cold when we walked in, linen felt almost damp due to temperature of the room, only set up for one person ie one towel etc despite booking for two people.
Review 126:Very friendly, helpful staff. After talking to receptionist on checking out and being asked if we'd slept well I reiterated the issues we'd had and was immediately assured of a refund due to the policy of a guaranteed good sleep - this has indeed happened so for that I commend Premier Inn.?
Review 127:Getting a disabled room that entailed opening and shutting at least 6 doors to get to. SUGGESTION: Put all adapted rooms nearer the entry door !?
Review 128:We liked the closeness to the town, to the motorways, the friendliness, the cleanliness, the very helpful staff and the whole package!.
Review 129:The television in the room was small and there was no anti-slip mat for the bath when using the shower. There was nowhere near enough car parking spaces near to the hotel. The initial appearance of the decor in the Beafeater restaurant was not very welcoming and the beer was flat, despite my specific request to ensure that it had a good 'head' on it.
Review 130:Very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and well equipped with toileteries and drinks. The breakfast in the Beafeater restaurant was excellent and the steaks that we had there on the evening were good value for money.
Review 131:used cups not cleared from room during service staff overstretched for a very busy Sunday morning breakfast
Review 132:Staff helpful breakfast quality very good
Review 133:Breakfast: staff seemed disinterested, Coffee and juice dispensers stood empty for too long, serious shortage of spoons both mornings, coffee was not Costa as advertised. Room: felt damp, little natural light (lights had to be on all the time), bathroom smelt musty.
Review 134:Location Price Breakfast vfm
Review 135:The location from the centre of town was too far away (£10.00) plus the room was too hat despite turning the air-conditioning on.
Review 136:Functional, clean, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was generous.
Review 137:Main area of concern was the dirty looking bathroom, the tiles and grouting was black and grimy and in particular there was a very "hairy" bar of soap, which I assume was left by previous guest! Yuck! We also had to ask for another towel as there was only one provided. Very limited tea and coffee sachets and milk in the room. Dirty looking cutlery and glasses in the room and the stairs and halls were rather grimy and in need of a freshen up. Also noticed cobwebs on the celing but I had a heightened awareness after noticing the bathroom wasn't up to scratch!
Review 138:Spacious room, comfortable bed.
Review 139:Limit of 30 minutes on WiFi with no ability to stop and start. More hooks in the bathroom No Film Four on the TV - very disappointing Parking limited near entrance
Review 140:Adjacency to Beefeater
