Reviews for Ulster Cottages
Review 1:There was nothing we didn't like, all needs are catered for!
Review 2:The greeting we received from the host was lovely, with the house immaculately cleaned and prepared for our arrival ! The host explained everything and was absolutely brilliant for any information required. On a map it looks to be far from the coast, but turn left out of the gate and left again and your On the coast of it £5 in a taxi. This was such a great stay and without doubt we will be back to stay in the Ulster cottages again! Could not be faulted, on anything! Very fitting accommodation for A group of young adults out all weekend in the north coast... I can see it would be excellent for family's too. Great find !
Review 3:We were taken by surprise by no wood/peat being provided for the wood burning stove. Staying for one night only it didn't make sense to buy our own bag of firewood.
Review 4:Modern house with all required facilities including kitchen utensils and comforts. Warm and laid-back proprietor made our arrival and departure very easy and pleasant. Loved the dressing room area off the master bedroom! Great showers. The place felt very clean and non-cluttered.
Review 5:Really lovely houses very cosy and well decorated and equipped. Close to portrush just £10 in taxi do great for group of friends like us. Ann was really nice as well and allowed us to check in at 3 which was excellent
Review 6:Wifi reception was inconsistent, might be an issue on a long stay
Review 7:We were late arriving but the house was warm and cosy , greeted with a smile even though it was bedtime!!!
Review 8:When leaving and checking out . We had to pay £15 in total. £5 for wifi for 2 nights. £5 gas & £5 electric. Surely that should have been in with the price of staying.
Review 9:Staff where lovely .. Beds where soo comfortable and the cottage was very clean.
Review 10:The down stairs had a double room with a full bathroom including a bathtub which was perfect for my Mother in Law. The house was very clean and beds comfortable. Location perfect for visiting the Giants Cause Way.
Review 11:Wifi is weak and you are charged extra for it, so I'd only use it if you really need it.
Review 12:Excellent cottage with fabulous amenities. Beautiful location in the middle of nowhere. Great spot for spending time in northern part of Northern Ireland!
Review 13:The signage needs to be more obvious, we arrived in the dark & drove past it. It was explained to us why it wasn't lit up however, i think it important that customers can see where they are going. How's about solar lights? No rubbish bags, could have done with a few extra toilet rolls would have saved driving a couple of miles to replenish. No First Aid box, this is an absolute must.
Review 14:the cottage was very comfortable, location good. A lovely place.
Review 15:I have nothing negative to say at all about our stay!!
Review 16:I had a great time here,,, Ann was wonderful & so very welcoming..... the cottages are amazing, a great home from home,, i hope to go back again soon!!
Review 17:Stairs in the property are quiet steep.
Review 18:Property is well located. Only a short drive to portrush and giants causeway. Bedrooms are generous size with one on the ground floor. Area was very quiet.
Review 19:Great cottage in prime location for the north coast, perfect for families. The cottages are in a gated community so the kids can play outside without worry, they can also use the owners garden where there is trampoline, swing and slide. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had a great few days and will definitely book again in the future.
Review 20:Lovely well thought out property which everything you needed for a week's stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Good location for North Coast facilities. Ann and Paul couldn't do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended

Review 22:Everything was fine.
Review 23:it was obvious that much thought and planning had been given to ensure the comfort of holiday makers. Lovely quiet locality with easy access to the stunning North Antrim coast.
Review 24:Ulster Cottages combine good old fashioned welcome & handy tips with modern sparkling accomadation fully equipped and so centrally located ~ we stayed as a mum & 4 daughters on a 70th birthday trip but ideal for young & old, beautiful part of the country and a handy little 5km circuit to dilute the excellent good nearby. Will take 1 pet in specific cottage only, all in all ~ 5*
Review 25:A small supply of coffe & tea supplies is always very welcome for travelers and not difficult or expensive to supply. Just a suggestion.
Review 26:Helpful staff, clean, organized.
Review 27:Freezing!!!!!!!!! cold took us at least 24 hours to get the place warm and we were charged £30 for the pleasure. Could not eat at the dining table as it was about to clasp, and could not get any of the 4 TVs to work. Thought it would have been a goo budget break but wont be back. Felt ripped of with the heating charge!
Review 28:Location good size bedrooms

Review 33:Surprising amount of traffic noise given the location, but not a problem inside the unit.
Review 34:Very well appointed, roomy villa, with a few added surprises like a little grassed area for kids' soccer. Close to Giant's Causeway and other highlights.

Review 65:My 4 yr old brought his bike and was able to cycle away outside safely and there was a trampoline and play area
Review 66:Central location. In compound playground, trampoline and secured grounds. Comfortable cottage with good amenities.
Review 67:The difficulty with turning on the hot water. Written instructions would have been helpful.limited tv channels. I expected rte channels to be available.
Review 68:The location.the welcome The space . The scenery.everything was organised and methodical and in its place.
Review 69:WiFi was a little intermittent - but manageable.
Review 70:Always a challenge to know what you've booked, but this was even better than described. In a super location a short car drive to some of the most stunning sights. A cluster of lovely modern cottages - warm, spaceous rooms, great bathrooms, comfy beds, all you need home from home. Highly recommended.
Review 71:No free wifi. Electricity and heating bills are charged separately.
Review 72:Good value for money if traveling in a group of 5 or more. Friendly staff. The "remote" location is great for getting away from the stress and the noise. Although is very easy to find. (with GPS)
Review 73:Absolutely stunning house. Well equipped. Loved everything about it. Kids thoroughly enjoyed it and because of the rural surroundings they could play outside
Review 74:Great accomodation that's well maintained and within easy reach of all the sites that the north coast has to offer. The cottages are quiet, private and well appointed. It was a significant birthday for my wife and we stayed in the three bedroom cottage with some friends - they were all equally impressed. We had a brilliant weekend and the cottages were a real find for us. Worth noting that the owner and her husband were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - we will definitely be back. Keep up the high standards - the best! Well done.
Review 75:perhaps the price for the gas/ electricity was higher than I expected as we were hardly in the house and barely used the heating.
Review 76:The cottage was so clean and very welcoming. We were made to feel at home really quickly by Ann. Gorgeous cottage, would love to stay again.
Review 77:Excellent cottages very clean and all the facilities you could require at a very reasonable price. Owners are very friendly and happy to give advice on places to visit/eat etc we will be back to stay again in the future.
Review 78:Houses were sparkling.situation excellent for traveling round area.close to dark hedges which were beautiful.owner more than helpful with advice, nothing too much trouble
Review 79:Nothing.
Review 80:Ideal location close to Bushmills, Giant's Causeway, the Walled City of Londonderry, Portrush ect. Modern, clean, bright & spacious, family friendly holiday accommodation. Nothing too much trouble for owners Ann & Paul,a very welcoming couple.
Review 81:The weather!
Review 82:The cleanliness of the cottage and all the bedrooms had en suite upstairs. Very friendly staff. Ideal location for us (doing a bike ride).
Review 83:Coleraine has nowhere for evening entertainment - the town centre is dead at night. Need to travel to Portstewart or Portrush. Cottage windows need blinds for privacy at the front as guests walk past the living room on the way to their cottages. Thought the costs for gas and electricity for 1 week were expensive since we only used hot water and lights.
Review 84:Staff very friendly and helpful. Cottages well placed for access to main routes to Bushmills, Antrim Coastal route etc.
Review 85:The cottages were fantastic, spotless and well maintained! The owner was very friendly and helpful. Located in the countryside but close enough to local amenities
Review 86:N/A

Review 89:Not in town if that is what you are looking for.
Review 90:Very private. Great location. 5 minutes from town. Great staff and very helpful. I will be back to stay again on my next trip to N.I. Great kitchen. Harbor Bar and 55 Bar are two great places for dinner and drinks!
Review 91:No shop within walking distance
Review 92:Good space. Excellent facilities including 3 separate bathrooms and comforatble beds, sofas etc. Very good location to explore the area.
Review 93:Being given a bill for electricity came as complete surprise when leaving. This is NOT mentioned anywhere on website. Not very private, owners looking in at rear of property while we were at home!
Review 94:Comfortable and clean.
Review 95:Can not think of a single thing I would change except the weather which we have no control over.
Review 96:The owner was very friendly and could not have been more helpful with information about where to go and what to see. Also over and above call of duty by offering to book tickets for Titanic on line for us to avoid our dissappointment. Brilliant all round.
Review 97:Internet connection very poor. No back garden, in fact high wall musthave been 10" high about 9" from back door..so no room forchildren to play..due to wall no sunlight at back and worse stillcompletely blocks out the fabulous green landscape behind it.Houses arenot detatched, very little privacy as back of houses open pathway foraccess to all houses. Walls thin so could hear movement next door In thecountryside..but might as well be in an estate in town. Can'timagine being suitable for a family with children in the summer.
Review 98:Anne and Paul very helpful and friendly. House lovely and clean andcomfortable. Perfect location for touring Antrim and the fabulouscoastline but best suited to adults in my opinion. Bedrooms are nicerand bigger than in photos.

Review 107:We liked the fact the cottages are in a quiet area yet only a short drive from Portrush/Portstewart/Coleraine.
Review 108:I liked everything about it was in a great location for site seeing the north Antrim coast
Review 109:The warm welcome from the beginning, the cleanliness, the location, every bedroom being ensuite and the helpful tips for local sightseeing.
Review 110:Friendly hosts, good location to explore Antrim Coast, well equipped house, kids can play outside with other guests' and hosts' kids,
