Reviews for Agapi Villa

Review 1:There's a quarter mile walk down a busy road with no sidewalks to the tiny downtown. It's a bit dangerous, especially at night. Downtown area only has a couple bakeries and restaurants, not much there.

Review 2:Nice pool. Clean rooms.

Review 3:If you are not after the famous sunset in Oia, then you can definitely choose this place. It's located close to Thira, so you can easily get to anywhere in Santorini.

Review 4:Host was very nice, and came and found me when I was trying to find the place. It's a nice little spot, just a little outside of town. I know it's not relevant, but the host was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever met. Thank You!

Review 5:Bed is not so new and not so comfortable but it is OK Rooms at lower floor not getting the full sun.

Review 6:Location : 15 minutes walk to Fira center. Bus stop in front of hotel. By buses you can go to Kamari, Perissa, Fira, Redbeach. Do not need to rent a car. Staff: very helpful abd friendly. They pick us from port at night and bring us back to ferry.

Review 7:It is different to find a supermarket. Sometimes you have to wait for the bus for long time.

Review 8:the landlord is very kindly and friendly. Though we have lots of questions, they always answer with patience. There is a beatiful swimming pool. You can rent a car or motor directly from the hotel.

Review 9:The staff was great We used to find everythibg clean in the midday, towels and sheets were always new and clan The pool was a wonderful idea Very quiet and comfortable place It was a wonderful experience

Review 10:Nothing

Review 11:Wonderful hosts. View was amazingggg! Pool area is fantastic!! Best location if you rent a scooter.. otherwise a little walk from town. Free transfer from port was excellent. We hope to come back :)

Review 12:Nothing we loved it all. Maybe would have been good to get a hob in the room to cook things

Review 13:The location was very good close enough to everything yet not too noisy. The staff was great and helped us sort out excursions, renting ATV, and even picked us up from the airport! The view is great and pool not crowded ever.

Review 14:Sad to leave

Review 15:Management and staff were extremely hospitable, friendly and so welcoming..The pool was fabulous and the whole facility was very clean..the staff made me feel like i was at home..even the other guests were so friendly.it was like a little community of happiness..Thank you so much to all the staff at Agapi Villas..i will be back

Review 16:Nothing is all perfect.

Review 17:the view from our room is really beautiful the cleanliness is fantastic the staff is super friendly. Agapi Villa is nice and pretty place to stay.

Review 18:You will need to have a car/bike or take a bus (the stop is 100 meters from the hotel) to go anywhere.

Review 19:The hotel is just off a main road but very quiet and with a nice swimming pool. Staff is very kind and the breakfast was very big and tasty. Moreover the transfer from the port is a very good service offered by the hotel.

Review 20:It is located 10 minuets by bus from central of FIRA. It is not too bad, but not so convenient.

Review 21:The staff was really nice and very accomodating. They picked us up from the port and brought us to the port when we checked out. The pool was good. It was very quiet and we could enjoy the sunrise.

Review 22:20 minutes walk from Fira, but easy to rent scooters or take the bus. You have to wave to the bus for it to stop

Review 23:Really nice family driven hotel. Lovely staff

Review 24:The furniture of the room is poor and some times the room had a weird smell. Don't trust the services provided by the hotel! The rent a moto and boat tours are more expensive than what you can find in any place in Fira (10 minutes walk). Above all, do not let the lady in the reception call a taxi for you. We asked to book a taxi from the hotel to the port for 7 a.m. The girl said everything was set and at the scheduled time, a guy with a private car, instead of a taxi, was there to take us to the port. He charged us 25€! At the port I asked a taxi driver how much it would have been by taxi: 15€ or 18€ with appointment. (Don't let yourselves be fooled by the hotel staff.)

Review 25:The location was central, but even so, not perfect since you need a bike/quad/car/bus to get to all the surrounding facilities.

Review 26:We spend three day's on Santorini which is really enough in our view. It's crowded and very touristic. Although Thera and Oia are nice cities the number of people, also due to the cruise ships (3 /4) dropping all their loads on shore, is far too much. The beaches are disappointing

Review 27:It was okay but not special.

Review 28:Very attentive owners, always there to answer questions and very helpful. Allowed us to checkout the night before to catch our ferry and even provided a free transfer to the port. Would've loved to be able to use the pool, but we stayed for one night and didn't get the opportunity. Really good value for money, especially on santorini

Review 29:Lovely family run apartments. Very friendly and always on hand to help. Spotless rooms with lively pool area in quiet location with only short walk to cantre of Thira

Review 30:If you dont have a motorbike or quad, its little bit far to go walking, however, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel.

Review 31:The staff was very friendly and helpful. We could rent the quad and motorbike directly from the hotel.

Review 32:Location not perfect, not a major handicap either but have to rent a car.

Review 33:Kindness of the hosts, pick up from the port and drive to the airport, nice swimming pool, possibility to rent a car, book boat trips from the hotel.

Review 34:Great stay for a group of four girls! Friendly service and amazing staff. Good location and very helpful for setting up transportation. Pool was beautiful.

Review 35:staff spoke very little English Their children were running around the hotel the whole time, I don't mind children but they made a lot of noise and often got in your way it wasn't very relaxing while you were by the pool listening to kids throw balls around The location isn't great you need a car or quad bike to get anywhere Extremely upset that we were woken at 10pm By a staff member to pay on our last night, not sure why we couldn't pay upon our arrival or when we checked out both my partner and I were in bed really not sure why they would disturbe guests at such a time. I wouldn't come back here

Review 36:Pool was nice Organised us to hire quad bikes which was easy Room was a good size Shower was also good Free transfer to the port

Review 37:Having to leave this beautiful place!

Review 38:The staff were so friendly and couldn't be any more helpful. The place was spotless and we had an amazing view!

Review 39:I got a room that on the other side of swimming pool and the internet connection was really really bad, did not work at all.

Review 40:The staffs of hotel are kind and helpful. The place decoration is lovely and cosy.

Review 41:Would be great if the shuttle service to the port was arranged in a better way.

Review 42:Helpful and nice family, room was spacious and comfy and wifi was stable.

Review 43:Absolutely nothing!

Review 44:Brilliant location and quiet despite being near a main road to Thira. The staff could not game been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was picked up from airport and dropped to the port the next day. A stress and hassle free stay. The room was immaculate. Excellent value for money. Thank you Agapi Villas!!!

Review 45:The road makes it diffucult for walking, but if you are very careful it can be okay. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel so that was great.

Review 46:Loved the pool, nice and clean, good location, bus stop close by, very nice staff.

Review 47:Everything is excellent except the location. The location is okay, it takes around 20mins walk from the capital-Fira. We love the staffs a lot, our room is really messy but after we went to a town and back hotel, everything was tidy. We love the owner, she is really kind and friendly. We will visit it again if we would have a chance to Santorini

Review 48:Absolutely nothing honestly the hotel is awesome

Review 49:The hotel was very nice, pool was excellent, staff were amazing! The location of the hotel is a 5 min walk to shops and food and 10 min to heart of city

Review 50:Leaving.

Review 51:We liked everything about the hotel room, the wifi, and the hotel grounds but the thing we enjoyed most was the hospitality and service. If you are a budget conscious traveler, this will be one of your very favorites. Tip: Have them rent a 4-wheeler or scooter for you that will be delivered and returned to the hotel. Makes things very convenient for you and you can spend the whole day exploring beautiful Santorini.

Review 52:It's far to walk to fira town, need to take bout 30 mins The road is somehow dangerous as no pedestrian pathway

Review 53:Good value for money Very nice staff welcoming us at the port Nice environment at night time beside the pool

Review 54:If you were going to rely on the buses for your primary travel, the waits would be a little long. But that is the only thing I can find wrong.

Review 55:Was nice to be picked up and dropped off at the port. The whole family was super helpful during our 2 1/2 day stay. Wife severely sprained an ankle at Oia and the family that ran the hotel bent over backwards to handle all of our request from helping to rent a car, to giving us ice to extending our checkout! If we were coming back to the island, we would definitely stay again!

Review 56:Maybe a little different breakfast for each of the three mornings we stayed.

Review 57:Free on time pick up and drop off from port to hotel by the dad. Nice, warm and friendly reception from the daughter at the front desk. Hot breakfast and fresh coffee every morning by the mom. Clean and comfortable room with a lot of hot water for shower. Beautiful swimming pool. Near by bus stop to town. Very reasonable price!

Review 58:Not tons of hot water, make your shower quick! Also beds not the most comfortable, but the hosts are so wonderful it makes up for it

Review 59:Rooms are kept incredibly clean. Fresh towels each day. Breakfast is great. Airport shuttles back and forth. They arrange everything for you (Car, atv, volcano tour, etc. ) Always willing to answer questions.

Review 60:Very poor wifi in the room; Caution when you go to Fira by foot: you literally have to walk on the road with lots of ATVs and cars passing by.

Review 61:Free transfer from the airport and to the port of Fira; Nice location away from Fira hustle but still very close to the city; Staff is very helpful and friendly, always smiling; Huge room, nice bathroom; AC, swimming pool, fridge and kettle in the room.

Review 62:The rooms were very spacious and very clean which made our stay very comfortable. And the staff (mother and daughter) who run th place are exceptionally kind and net and above and beyond for us.

Review 63:Noisy barking dogs at night, but not the owners fault. Fridge was not functioning correctly, leaking water and the door not closing, therefore nothing was cold. Kitchen towels & dish soap would have been useful...very difficult to wash dishes & tidy up little kitchen.

Review 64:Very clean, relatively quiet Villa. Lovely Balcony overlooking the pool and good view of the sunrise. Friendly owners, complimentary airport pickup. Large pool & lots of lounge chairs & umbrella's. Bakery & Restaurants 0.5 km walk on a very busy, dangerous, narrow road....no sidewalks. Renting a car was beneficial....buses were crowded & unreliable for pickup.

Review 65:Our hosts were very welcoming and nothing was a trouble for them. Very helpful and accommodating. Will be back loved their hospitality and friendliness. Lovely relaxed stay. Highly recommend. Marie O'Reilly

Review 66:The breakfast (not included) was a little weak

Review 67:The staff/ were all very kind and welcoming. Very sweet people that we will never forget. The pool was beautiful and the room was tidy!Only a short distance (5 min drive to the main city) I would recommend this place to anyone!

Review 68:very good staff and friendly, it was a pleasure to meet this people, I really wish the best for them and if I will go back to Santorini for sure I will stay there. It was perfect for us. Don' t hesitate and book at Agapi Villa :)

Review 69:Although the location is not bad, and there is a frequent bus connecting it to Fira, the 20 minutes walk is not very pleasant because in some parts there is not sidewalk and you have to walk on the main road

Review 70:Rooms are clean and spacious. The facilities include a nice swimming pool with views to the sea (not the caldera though). The owners are very gentle and helpful. They picked us up from the airport and took us to the ferry when we left. It is a quiet place to relax close to Fira (about 20 minutes walk), which makes it a perfect base to explore the island on a scooter.

Review 71:I really recommend this hotel. It is managed by a family. They are very nice people. They helped us with the car rental that was also a good experience! Really good option in Santorini

Review 72:The place is conviniently located 5 minutes walk from the chaotic Thira and is perfect if you are looking for peaceful and relaxing place. The swimming pool is big and clean, Room are spacious, bright and very clean. The service is impeccable with very kind staff serving you breakfast in the morning. The Girl at the reception is stunning;-) Angelo

Review 73:It is very well located (you need a moto or car, but you would need it anyway to travel around the island), 5 min from Fira (the main town) and just a few meters from the bus stop. The hotel is simple but pretty, calm and very clean. The owners were amazing, picking us up from the port and also leaving us back there on the last day at midnight.

Review 74:The hosts are a beautiful family that went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The pool was just like the pictures and the rooms were clean and tidy. They also helped when our airline lost a piece of our luggage. I couldn't recommend agapi villas highly enough.

Review 75:We have just returned from a week in Agapi Villa and we had a fanastic time, the family are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are huge, pool area is very big and very well kept. It was so peaceful with the view of the sea. The owners dropped us at the airport and were very helpful with any queries we had- for example booked our quad bikes which were dropped off at our hotel and collected so absolutely no hassle! The location is lovely- about a twenty minute walk to Thira the capital which is aamzing, lots of bars/restaraunts and of course the wonderful sunsets over the sea. There are also about 6/7 bars and restaraunts on the way the closest being about a 5min walk, which we ate at one night and it was fabulous, we also enjoyed numerous morning coffees at Graffiti music cafe which is around a ten minute walk from the hotel. We would definately reccomend and definately go to this hotel again. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!

Review 76:Pretty hard to fault them. If anything you need to be aware they are short bus ride from the town centre. But the value of the accommodation makes up for this in my opinion. If you are there for a more than a few days also best to rent a car, scooter or quad bike to get around.

Review 77:Our stay at Agapi villas was amazing. The owners are a family that really look after you and provide amazing service. They picked us from the airport and dropped us of when departing. They also assisted us in recovering some lost baggage and helped us rent a car and quad bikes. The rooms and pool look just like the pictures! I cant recommend them highly enough. This was my second visit to Santorini too so I knew what to look out for.

Review 78:Nothing, fabulous family run business

Review 79:We were greeted at the airport and made extremely welcome, reception were extremely helpful and anything that you needed organised wasn't a problem.A bigger welcome you couldn't ask for.Would definitely stay there again. And the rooms were clean and serviced daily.

Review 80:Located in the middle of nowhere, not easily accessible on foot, neither to Fira, any beach, the port or the airport. The owner can maybe give you a ride. No restaurants in the area, no supermarket, nothing. The reception feels like someone’s living room - not in a good way. The décor is just sad, wardrobe with broken handles style. You need to flip the switch for 15 min to get a hot water (seriously?!). Cheapness everywhere you look. But it was the breakfast that made me cry. No buffet, you sit down and get a greasy toast and some marmalade, over-boiled egg, warm water that reminds you vaguely of coffee. Bottom line – Avoid, avoid, avoid! Pictures lie, the place maybe looks nice from the outside with the pool and all, but I would be ashamed to call this a youth hostel, in fact I recall camping with more comfort (and better coffee).

Review 81:Staff tries to be nice, but their smile doesn’t undo the rest.

Review 82:The staff was very helpful in getting us exactly what we were looking for in the time we had to see the island. It's location is ideal and we would recommend it to anyone going to santorini.

Review 83:The location is not really Fira. You have to take a bus or walk if you don't plan to rent a vehicle.

Review 84:The place was clean and staff courteous. You can see the sunrise from the room. Airport pick and drop is an additional advantage. Overall a good place to go and stay.

Review 85:The shower was very small and not well designed at all! It was impossible to avoid water coming out and it made a mess after a shower.

Review 86:We took a 4 people room, 2 pieces and one bathroom (1 double bed, 2 twins). Small kitchen and nice balcony. Definitely great for small families. Nice pool and view. They picked us up at the port and Mr. Manoli was very nice to give us some tips, while his daughter was just so lovely giving us advice on where and how to go. The hotel is a bit away from the main city of Fira, so it's less crowded, but the host can call several car rentals and they bring/pick-up for you the car or motorbike to the hotel.

Review 87:The buses into Fira are slightly irregular, and it's not a particularly nice walk along a busy road to local shops/bars etc. Would have loved for there to be a bar at the hotel-though there is one at the hotel next door.

Review 88:Great warm welcome, and the free pickup from the ferry was really useful. The rooms are spacious and clean, and our balcony had a great view of the pool. Great bakery 500m down the road too!

Review 89:The location was close to a bus stop which was a 5 min maximum ride to Fira. Easily walkable distance to Fira. The staff were so helpful, picking up and dropping us off at the port. And helped with every request we had. The pool was lovely

Review 90:The owners are wonderful. It is peaceful with a beautiful view. It is so nice to stay somewhere run by a family. They were so sweet and very helpful. They arranged a rental car for us that was brought to and picked up from the hotel. Our children loved the pool.

Review 91:Distance to main town (2km) but price is reflective so no complaints at all. You won't get better than this for price/location.

Review 92:Great pool, quiet, clean, lovely lovely staff that will look after your every need. Short walk or bus ride to main town (thira/fira) roughly €2 for the bus to thira. Very clean and hospitable. Highly Recommended.

Review 93:Room was a little bare bones and it was about a 30 minute ride (and 20 dollars in cab) to Oai which is the center attraction.

Review 94:The friendliness of the family that ran the place, their helfulness and family style dining area. The balcony overlooking the pool and the scenery was beautiful. Very good rate as well.

Review 95:Walking to town is doable in 15 minute, but the street is the Main Street, and it does not has side walk, so it is not a nice walk.

Review 96:Very nice owner, picking us up from the port and drop off from port for free. They even have a leaving gift for us

Review 97:Awesome pick-up and delivery service to the Port. Fast and available WiFi. Friendly family owned Hotel. Central of the Island, to Firá there is though a bit of walking to do (30 min). Scooter rental recommended and possible via the Reception. (17 € per day during Summer)

Review 98:Could have done with modernising the rooms. Mattress protectors needed and wardrobe handles falling fall making it difficult to open and shut them. Miss match of crockery and cutlery.

Review 99:Location was great. Near Thira but away from the road and crowds. Great pool. Reception were great, gave us a map and also offered to book a car for us. Hospitality was great. Free pick up from port.

Review 100:Location is not good. There is not a supermarket or a restaurant near. You definitely need to have a car or a scooter to live here. There is no private balkony with seaview in every room, we had a common terrace with another room. Sea is very far away and distance to Fira is 2 kilometres. Noisy street near.

Review 101:Nice pool area. Free transfer to/from the port. Spacious room.

Review 102:All the door seems very hard to close and open.

Review 103:Excellent hospitality by owner whole family. The Dougter provide us map and clear information to find good Restourant . Home produce wine by the owner was sweet and nice. This is a good place to see the beautiful sunrise from our balcany facing the pool. Location at the middle of most location. Only few minute drive to,city or Main Street .

Review 104:Bit of a walk into Thira (about 15mins)

Review 105:Great family run business, staff very helpful. Room was clean and well presented.

Review 106:Family run, low key, free airport drop off, bus stop outside door

Review 107:Lovely hotel runs by a mother and her daughter! Extremely helpful and very nice people! We loved the swimming pool too!

Review 108:Good location in the middle of the island. Close to the airport. Good value for money.

Review 109:Nice peaceful resort. About 2-3 km from Fira. Owners very helpful in arranging everything. Had a great stay.

Review 110:Hard to find - especially at night!

Review 111:Staff was nice and friendly. Hotel was clean!

Review 112:Problem with the wc pluming

Review 113:Agapi and her family made us feel very welcome and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.

Review 114:Great staff, great location, nice pool, and good breakfast. Just a 15 min walk into town or a 5 min cab. Would definitely stay again.

Review 115:Staff friendly. Pool nice and clean and quiet.... A little too quiet for us. No complaints about staff or accommodation except the bed!!

Review 116:Hospitality and the warmth of the owner...thank u so much for helping us to figure it out everything that we need during in Santorini

Review 117:pool! location and very accommodating owners...Ria and her mom we're exceptional!

Review 118:Slow,inconsistent WIFI,very creaky beds

Review 119:Lovely owners and great central location to explore the island..Beautiful swimmingpool and hotel very clean.

Review 120:The main road into fira is scary and v busy

Review 121:The pool The balcony The price
