Reviews for Winchfawr Lodge
Review 1:All good
Review 2:Stayed here with a couple of friends, very welcoming owners. The lodge has got everything that you need and more! Great views, plenty of private parking and a private little play and bbq area. Also has a large wash and drying room. There is even a dike locker and wash area for bikes. Great little place will definitely book again....
Review 3:The advertised dishwasher did not exist. The bed was too small for tall travellers.
Review 4:A well equipped apartment with a great view of the surrounding countryside.
Review 5:Would have liked a proper bathroom rather than a wet room so the kids could bath. and a bedroom where the two boys could stay together instead of one single and a put up bed.
Review 6:Nigel and Gaynors hospitality was amazing. We received a lovely welcome and they were genuinely interested in getting to know us. I would definately recommend this location and property for a vacation.
Review 7:Nigel and his wife were fantastic hosts. Great facilities for our mountain bikes and our ladge was extremely clean, very comfortable and cosy. Will definitely be back. Have absoutely no qualms about choosing to stay here again. Thoroughly recommends to all.
Review 8:very clean home with everything we needed, Nigel made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. Ideal location for exploring Brecon Beacons and Cardiff.
Review 9:only down side was we had the bottom floor and guests staying upstairs stomped loud on the floors around 4-5 am. Probably getting ready for work. Woke us up both mornings we stayed there.
Review 10:Place was very clean and true to self-catering description. If you travelled far and arrive a bit early I'd let the owners know for we got there an hour early, our rooms were ready, and they were kind enough to check us in!
Review 11:Still trying to think of something.
Review 12:As usual you will find the Welsh people very friendly, and nothing is to much trouble. The lodge was cleaned to a high standard and was filled with all the toiletries you wouldn't expect to find on a self catering break. The views are stunning from your windows and the lodges are accommodating for all ages. Great location for travelling either way, for site seeing and lots of walking areas for the more outdoor people. We would definately recommend Winchfawr Lodge to anyone and look forward to returning at some point.
Review 13:Loved all the facilities, warm welcome and especially the views. Great place to explore the valleys and the Brecon Beacons. Great facilities and we were lucky to enjoy the surroundings in good weather.
Review 14:There was 1 thing we didn't like, there is a chicken pen right outside the bedroom windows, so we had 2 very early wake up calls, the 1st morning we got woke by cockadoodledo at 5.30am and even earlier on the 2nd morning at 4.30am and it carried on until at least 8am! This would stop us from staying there again which is a real shame because everything else was perfect.
Review 15:I stayed here recently with 3 friends for 2 nights, brilliant location, nice & very clean, the owner was very friendly, we stayed there to go biking at bike park wales which is only 3 miles away, they even provided a hose pipe to clean our bikes with.
Review 16:The location is not as private/ secluded as the pictures would suggest but it is still a very nice place.
Review 17:The lodge is small enough but it has everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable. Nigel couldn't be any more welcoming or helpful.
