Reviews for Jersey Farm Hotel
Review 1:Appalling food at breakfast. Bacon like cardboard, congealed baked beans, dried up over cooked sausage, yesterdays burnt mushrooms reheated. Surly service. Won't use again or recommend.

We couldnt belive how cheap it was at the bar. Ian the host is one of the most polite and well assertive people i have met. Defo going back again!
Review 16:Convenient location with ample parking. Comfortable room with adjustable heating. Easy to find off a main road, but quiet with a nice outlook onto farmland
Review 17:Friendly staff from check in to check out. Room beautiful, whirlpool a treat. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the hosts, well worth a visit!
Review 18:We stayed at Jersey Farm as we were at a wedding at another hotel locally. I'd rang ahead to ask about a taxi company which was well recommended. The room was lovely with a great view, my friends was more than impressed that we could ask for fresh milk for her cup of tea! The hotel was very pleasant and did the job for our purpose of stay.
Review 19:Nothing really.
Review 20:Great location, friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble if anything is not working. Plenty of hot water and showers in bathrooms good. Comfortable beds. Peace and quiet not at all noisy.
Review 21:It's a family run hotel and the service is still the same today as it was many years ago when we first stayed there, even with all of the changes to the property over the years
Review 22:Really nice hotel, lots of cute features like fancy lighting and art work. Food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. Bar has a nice comfy atmosphere but is quite trendy too. Yummy biscuits left in the room which is always a nice time!
Review 23:Decor in room very gloomy ( colour scheme of black and red opressive) Price for room was rather high. Outside space from reception to room could be made more attractive.

Review 37:Ian, Hinckley. Staff excellent, food also excellent, good selection of beer and wine, rooms great. Would return again if in the area.Satnav directions good.
Review 38:I stayed with my 3 adult children in the family suite which was absolutely lovely. Beautiful view, tons of room in bedrooms, kitchen and lounge - could have stayed happily for a week. Breakfast was wonderful as well and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus there are ponies, llamas and deer to pet! What more could you ask?
Review 39:There are signs everywhere saying no outside food and drink to be consumed. If I have paid for a room I expect to be able to use it how I want so long as I leave it undamaged.
Review 40:The room was so small that it was difficult for even 1 person to move around and make a drink. Not sure how I could have managed to iron anything. Wifi was very patchy and signal dropped out routinely even when in the main building. Some narrow corridors with steps up and down along corridors which needed navigating and too many doors (understand fire regs) which can be difficult to manage when carrying luggage.
Review 41:Pleased to find there was a room available at the wedding venue. The room had all the required elements, ie hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, iron and board, flatscreen TV, Wifi. Nice location, very handy for Barnard Castle.
Review 42:food was poor just to go several years ago for meals and always had to book well in advance but know restaurant empty - I know now why? better steaks from Asda - If staying there find somewhere else to eat

Review 103:Relaxing
Review 104:Probably needs some updating
Review 105:Location is rural
Review 106:Good food in the restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff
Review 107:Bathroom. Whilst the sink was modern it was too small. The sink shelf was on the wrong wall and would have been better under the mirror. The towel rail tap on the wall by the toilet needs to be capped as sharp and easy to catch your arm after using the toilet.
Review 108:General ambience of the hotel Friendliness of staff The location
Review 109:unfortunately the food wasnt fantastic - the fruit salad was 'old' and tasted bitter. If you are a meat eater you would probably really enjoy the offerings - would be nice to have seen a main course salad or some lighter options as most offerings are stodgy. Room also was a little dusty - lamps at bedside very dusty and one didnt work. Couldnt get the wifi to work either for some reason so gave up and watch TV. overall for the money it was acceptable.
Review 110:Location was excellent and it was lovely and quiet once the bar had closed in the evening. Staff were very helpful and attentive
Review 111:Good location for the Barnard Castle area. High Force and Dales are all easy to get to. Very helpful and attentive staff. Room was very comfortable (suite) and well maintained. Restaurant offers good quality food for all and it is tasty! After dinner, have a little wonder around the hotel and take some photos of the little Shetland ponies and their foals in the fields next door.
Review 112:Not being able to get wifi! Carpets and decor were OTT especially the "cow" seat and pictures.
Review 113:The bathroom was very nice. Good hearty breakfast. We will recommend it to our friends and family.
Review 114:Some real ale would be a bonus :)
Review 115:Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Food not overpriced and the bar meal we had excellent. The resteraunt meals were a bit of a mixed bag though. The location is very peaceful and a pleasant walk to nearby Barnard Castle.
Review 116:Would upgrade room next visit as room small & little cold, however staff where fab & got us a small heater. "Damn" good breakfast, thanks
