Reviews for Causeway Lodge
Review 1:The lodge was beautiful, and comfortable. Lyle and Ann were fantastic hosts and made you feel at home. They took time to talk to us about sites and directions. They are very special people.
Review 2:Fab location , close to all local attractions. Staff very warm and friendly plus gave great tips on where to visit and dine. Bedroom was so cosy and modern. Breakfast was great.
Review 3:Every possible want or need was provided, even a mini fridge with milk, water, and soda, robes and slippers in the bath. Beautiful spacious room. Gracious hosts
Review 4:No self-serve laundry facilities; location is about 3 miles from anywhere to eat, drink or socialize.
Review 5:Very nice B & B; beautiful facility and grounds, quiet country location.
Review 6:Everything was perfect. Gorgeous breakfast with Annes home made bread. Fantastic room with super comfortable bed and recommended lovely places to eat for our evening meal
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:Everything, we were made very welcome by our host Ann, who was extremely helpful, our room was superb, location perfect and the breakfast excellent, with great choice. Highly recommend a stay here.
Review 9:The rooms were huge with nice updated baths, sumptuous robes and a little jug of fresh milk for in room coffee. The breakfast was the best we had - loved organic salmon and eggs. Anne the proprietor was wonderful!
Review 10:Everything, location near Giant's Causeway, rural setting , great breakfast, service, large comfortable room, a bit pricey but still worth every penny, modern and very clean - not an amenity missed out.
Review 11:The location is quiet and scenic. The Lodge is comfortable and clean. Ann made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and breakfast was delicious!
Review 12:The only slight negative was that the hot water ran out in the evening - had been looking forward to a hot bath in the beautiful bathroom but could only manage lukewarm'
Review 13:The guesthouse is stunning. We stayed in the Causeway suite which had a separate living room, bedroom and luxury bathroom. Everything is catered to - free wifi, TVs, double sink and large waterfall shower...everything you can think of. Lovely breakfast in the morning. And so close to beautiful coast roads and the Giants Causeway. Ideal spot.
Review 14:The suite was very comfortable with a lovely view. The breakfast each morning was delicious and service was great. It was a few miles outside of Bushmills. A little tough to find on the first day, but very nice to be out of the middle of town and easy to navigate once we got our bearings.
Review 15:Couldnt get the wifi to work but i had cellular data and was only staying one night so wasnt a big deal.
Review 16:Views and location, nice clean and contemporary room, nice clean bath, smallish tv that we had a few problems with to start woth but staff fixed that. Felt comfortable there as a young gay couple. Owner was very nice and professional and the breakfast was excellent. Everything id immagine one would want in a bed and breakfast. Well worth it.
Review 17:Nothing bad to say.
Review 18:Loved everything from the location, the beautiful room, the peace and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Could not recommend this place more.
Review 19:The location was perfect for where we wished to visit and the local knowledge of the owners was very practical and helpful. If ever we wish to visit the same area we will have no hesitation in trying to stay in the same 'Hilton' of B and B's
Review 20:. The Staff were very accommodating We arrived the day after we had booked but still were made welcome. We made a mistake regarding the date we had booked. Excellent breakfast - beautiful place well worth its 4star rating.
Review 21:Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Great shower. Breakfast was delicious. Very close to Gaints Causeway & Bushmills. I would recommend Causeway Lodge to anyone going to see these sights.
Review 22:Just something small and more of a personal experience, to be asked did you come from the main land when you clearly have a southern Irish accent. Ireland is the main land not the UK.
Review 23:Beautiful house, plenty of room, great breakfast
Review 24:The only negative is a subjective matter, it was too hot for us at night and we had to open the windows. If there was a thermostat in the room we didn't see it. We did not complain or ask for assistance as it was late and we were only there for one night so opening the window was an acceptable solution.
Review 25:Both the bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, stylish, and clean. Out of the 4 different places we stayed on our week-long Ireland trip this was easily the most impressive. The breakfast was equally as impressive.
Review 26:Out of date magazines in bedroom
Review 27:The views, the comfort, the cleanliness, the facilities in bedroom including luxurious bathrobes and the amazing breakfast!
Review 28:Stayed in the Dunluse Room. Incredible room with very comfortable bed and amazing bathroom and bath. The hostess was very welcoming and really looked after us.
Review 29:The early/short period for breakfast, the early checkout & late check in. That's it! Also it's a little pricey for a bed and breakfast but I would go again!
Review 30:The bathrobe, shower, bed, the entire suite really & the breakfast!
Review 31:Too expensive for a b&b, the hotel was cheaper. Located too far outside the town. The milk in the fridge in the room was sour.
Review 32:Anne was a nice woman, the breakfast was lovely. The bedroom was decorated beautifully. Beautiful house. Good parking.
Review 33:Food not really available in the area. Most things were closed in the evening during the winter.
Review 34:Was very close to where we wanted to visit. Nice and quiet.
Review 35:Just a small point: the design in the bathroom meant that when you leaned over the sink to e.g. to wash your face, your forehead hit the shelf above
Review 36:Everything was immaculate: the room, though small, was very warm and beautifully furnished: everything was thought of and the breakfast excellent. We were the only people there, so inevitably it was quiet with little atmosphere. But excellent.
Review 37:Very friendly welcome, ample parking, very clean and quiet, good sized room, lovely fluffy bathrobes and fantastic shower. There was an excellent choice at breakfast but I would highly recommend the cooked breakfast it was delicious.
Review 38:overall the accommodation over exceeded my expectations. It is a 10 minute drive to bushmills , very easy road. The suite we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable with lovely views. The breakfast was incredible with do much choice. The owners are both very welcoming and helpful which made the experience one of the best I have ever had in Ireland
Review 39:No hot water in the morning - brisk shower set us up for the day!
Review 40:Great size room, landlady gave us a bigger room than we had booked which was fantastic
Review 41:Anne was a wonderful host. Her B&B is exquisitely decorated and the Causeway Suite was very generous in size with a wonderful modern bathroom, lovely comfy bedroom and a relaxing, large lounge room. Breakfast was great. Easy drives to Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a- Rede bridge, Game of Thrones settings, and all the Antrim Coast. Excellent stay. Highly recommend this B&B.
Review 42:Being very picky...... We had to phone to get in despite ringing the door bell three times. Coffee cups didn't washed during the day.
Review 43:The White Park room was lovely and spacious with a view to the sea in the distance. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The Lodge is approx 3 miles from the Giants Causeway and the rope bridge. Dunluce castle and Portrush are very close.
Review 44:Previously stayed in Causeway Lodge and gave all excellent rating. However on this occasion we were awakened on four occasions by noise from the extractor fan in the bedroom overhead. It was akin to trying to sleep under a hovering helicopter. We alerted the owners on the first occasion and again in the morning.
Review 45:Food
Review 46:Magazines were out of date by years, larger stock of tea and milk required, fridge wasn't cold, location quite rural 10min drive to nearest pub.
Review 47:Decor of the hotel, friendly welcome, choice of food at breakfast.
Review 48:We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting relatives. Our room was extremely comfortable and facilities were excellent.. Breakfast was amazing a great menu and well cooked food beautifully presented.
Review 49:The front door key did not open the door and we were stuck outside for about 45mins at night. Another guest had let us in and mentioned he had the same problem.
Review 50:Very charming decor, comfortable, and a great breakfast.
Review 51:Nothing at all, would recommend CL to anyone and we booked purely on the strength of the prior reviews. Would re-book without hesitation.
Review 52:Very positive "can do" attitude, extremely polite and friendly, nothing appeared to be too much trouble, very flexible with breakfast especially for 2 children (ages 8 & 4), and check-in. Recommendations made for local food in the evening were great (high quality local food easily available) and evident that Causeway Lodge brand is very strong as mentioned very positively at local attractions (e.g. NT Carrick a Rede staff, Giants Causeway staff, etc..). Thank you Anne.
Review 53:Would of been nice to have a lounge to relax in and maybe a drink before going upstairs to our room.
Review 54:The room size and comfort was superb. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and all cooked fresh. Ann was very helpful with choosing places for evening meals.
Review 55:I booked this B and B for a surprise night away for my boyfriends 40th birthday and was so surprised how lovely the place was. My boyfriend was very impressed with his surprise. We stayed in the white park room, beautifully decorated and so clean and comfortable! Breakfast was lovely really nice menu. Short drive to giants causeway, carrick a rede rope bridge and ballintoy harbour which is a lovely place. We can't wait to go back.
