Reviews for Future Inn Plymouth

Review 1:Staff obliging supplying additional duvet. Space of rooms appreciated. Bedroom and bathroom neat and tidied.good view from room although not on the sunny side.good stay

Review 2:Error with final bill , although staff good about it slightly embarrassing to discuss in front of other clients, glad I noticed the error

Review 3:Clean , well staffed , comfortable. Spacious , free wifi , free parking food good

Review 4:Very cold in the room needed to go to bed almost fully clothed. Requested an omlette at breakfast, told porridge or poached eggs. Restaraunt had 3 guests at the time. So chef not too rushed off his feet. Unhelpful at reception no breakfast times or directions

Review 5:Lovely big rooms very clean nice food.

Review 6:Nothing...we didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on food

Review 7:The room was very big and comfortable, I had a great sleep..fab bed. Lots of parking and a nice bar. All staff were polite and friendly, for Plymouth a good price and free parking unlike many in the centre....it was a little further than we thought and weather was vile so we didn't get bus and ended up driving back to plymouth

Review 8:Nothing!! Part from you need to remember that the toilet is behind the door in the bathroom

Review 9:I'm a returning customer to this hotel. We stay here everytime we visit Plymouth. Nicest hotel around. Friendly and helpful staff and great facilities.

Review 10:Our corridor smelt of smoke and cigarettes. There wasn't any power sockets by the bed and although one side had a bedside table, the other side of the bed did not.

Review 11:The staff were very friendly. Nice spacious rooms with a sofa. So many power sockets you won't run out of them!

Review 12:Would be helpful if the hotel reception could book a table at the restaurant rather than having to book separately.

Review 13:Big clean room, comfy bed, fast wifi, friendly staff, good location for what I needed, plentiful breakfast.

Review 14:very good hotel nice and clean parking good to far to walk in to town should have shuttle bus in to town so you dont need to pay for parking allways checking time for parking

Review 15:The hidden toilet was fun. If desperate it might not have been so funny :)

Review 16:Very surprised with how good the hotel was for a great price too. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I ever slept on. I would check in for that alone.

Review 17:The children had to share a small sofa bed . There was a gypsy wedding staying over night police called made arrest due to fighting . Also guest screaming and banging doors until 2 in morning .Booked inclusive with breakfast but they kept asking us to pay , breakfast service not the best ran out of plates had to eat of small side plates .

Review 18:We booked a suite large comfortable room Large double bed .

Review 19:Postcode does not take you to the hotel, but can cause stress if you don't know the area as there is a lot of bus lanes and traffic in that area.

Review 20:Hotel itself is lovely and clean.

Review 21:Remote for one tv not working and room dusty in places. Considering the size of the room the bath could have been bigger but that's being ultra fussy!

Review 22:Loved the room. Could have done with dusting in places. Great bed! Very comfy!

Review 23:Light switches in bedroom hard to turn on and off. Had to take the bulb out of one to turn it off as could not reach the plug.

Review 24:Close to where we needed to be. Clean and vomfortable

Review 25:Unfortunately for me, and this is not the hotels fault, but my room was directly above the main entrance, and I like to sleep with the window open, so when half drunken revellers arrived back in the early hours, and got out of taxi's singing and shouting I was awoken and disturbed.

Review 26:Huge, huge room with really comfy bed, Hot shower with excellent free toiletries, Comfy sofa, Smart TV, very good free Wi-Fi,. Large desk to work at if required. 10/10. The Fish-bone restaurant serves excellent food, but a little bit pricey. Best Nacho's starter I've ever had, but £7 for a starter? Would definitely recommend both hotel and restaurant, and will definitely stay here again.

Review 27:Evening meal was not very good, service was slow and when my meal arrived, it looked like it had been cooked by a chef who'd never seen a fish before, which is ironic considering the restaurant is called fishbone.

Review 28:Good spacious room, comfy bed

Review 29:The menu provided for the rook service food did not contain the ingredients of the meal.

Review 30:The availability of a small gym in a budget hotel was surprising... but then it was only by chance that I found it... There was no advertising of it. The staff in general were very helpful that's if u ask for help

Review 31:Tried to book table in hotel restaurant via Booking.com but message wasn't transmitted to the hotel who therefore weren't expecting me to dine. At first they said the restaurant was full (looked half empty to me), but they accommodated me in the end. What's the point of messages if they don't get passed on? You asked likely arrival time, so presumed you would pass to hotel? Was frustrating. No point having web booking if you still need to phone to eat!

Review 32:Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. Easy to work. On site restaurant makes it easy. Good food.

Review 33:It was quite warm, although not an issue as climate control in the room.

Review 34:A little bit out of the city centre but reachable by bus / taxi if on a night out. Room very large and comfortable. Well equipped, with fantastic shower ... would stay again.

Review 35:Housekeeping staff ignored us, not even a smile. Mean amounts of shower gel, coffee etc. Expensive for slightly upmarket "Premier Inn" style. Poor breakfast with bored looking staff.

Review 36:Very convenient for hospital. Reception & evening restaurant staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. Room large & clean, beds comfortable.

Review 37:Not as clean as it has been on previous stays and room looking a little run down. Breakfast was not great.

Review 38:Nice big room (suite). Good parking. Comfy bed. Fast, free wifi.

Review 39:Poor service in the restaurant. I didn't book a table but visited on spec at 17:45. The manager offered me a table at 20:15. I sat in the bar in sight of her but never got called over. Eventually at 20:35 I asked someone else if my table was ready and she seemed surprised, as it had been clear for some time. The attitude of the manager left me feeling she was doing me a favour by "fitting me in". I will not be returning nor will I advise any of my colleagues to do so as we stay on a regular basis in Plymouth.

Review 40:Good sized clean room, most of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Good location.

Review 41:All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite with our three children and there was plenty of space for all of us which was lovely.

Review 42:The breakfast was, in our opinion, overpriced at £9.95 each, so we didn't have any and went elsewhere after checkout

Review 43:The rooms are an excellent size, with great facilities. The staff were friendly and helped with all questions

Review 44:The desk staff were a little cold and it is a shame not to be able to order breakfast in your room, especially with a little baby.

Review 45:The staff were helpful and generally very friendly, I was travelling with a very young baby and they were very helpful.

Review 46:We left an iPad in the room and they let us know within4 hours on our mobile . They then sent it in a cab to the ferry terminal where we were ready to sail to Spain!!

Review 47:Absolutely no complaints at all.

Review 48:I thought the hotel was very spacious and immaculately clean, I asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what we got. Good parking facilities and very helpful staff too. My daughter travels and stays in Plymouth quite regularly and I shall recommend she change her hotel and stop at the Future from now on.

Review 49:Couldn't turn off bedside lamps had to move bed to unplug at the wall

Review 50:Great hotel, lovely room and ample parking. High speed unlimited internet is a massive plus. Moveable shower head and great water pressure

Review 51:service in the fishbones restaurant was appalling waited over 50 mins for one course off the set menu & hd to prompt as to when we were likely to actually eat it

Review 52:location & direct into the main city centre

Review 53:House keeping knocking a new bottle of aftershave off when servicing the room breaking it. Didn't want to make a fuss but an apology would have been nice.

Review 54:Spacious room

Review 55:The English staff (I am English) did not seem as friendly as the other staff. The service around the bar was not fantastic (not terrible though) as we had to wait a few times service.

Review 56:I loved the look of the hotel.

Review 57:Can't think of anything in particular.

Review 58:The hotel had pretty much everything we needed. I particularly liked the guest self service laundry facilities which a lot of hotels don't have.

Review 59:The restaurant staff were poor on customer service. The food was at a low quality and the chef served cold food to us. We couldn't hear each other talk as they had the TV on loud and the staff were slow at taking our order and handing us our drinks

Review 60:The hotel room was perfect

Review 61:the hotel is quite away from city centre, would not have been so bad but there was major road works in the town so made journey time of 30 minutes plus

Review 62:Breakfast could have had a bit more variety.

Review 63:We went for our daughter's graduation on The Hoe at Plymouth Uni. During such a big event, parking in that area is a nightmare, (including Premier Inn, Holiday Inn and Jury's Inn car parks). So we decided to stay at Future Inn because there is plenty of free parking. It was a £9 taxi ride to The Hoe for the graduation, so we didn't have the stress of trying to find somewhere to park.

Review 64:Stayed s few years ago but hotel looking a bit shabby now. Restaurant poor - asked if I would like a spoon or a fork to eat my dessert!! Food at dinner was poor - in fact I was ill that night. Breakfast ok but DIY style.

Review 65:Location good for my purpose. Room good with nice layout and in room faculties.

Review 66:Earlier check ins would be better

Review 67:I took my 3 month old son & the room was perfect for us both. It's a nuisance sometimes trying to get a bath rather than a shower so I was more than satisfied.

Review 68:Expensive room only rate. Told restaurant very busy, waiting time etc, only 4 couples in it! Breakfast looked very unappealing for £9.50 so went elsewhere, which spoiled day of departure as inconvenient.

Review 69:Comfortable room, good looking hotel, easy to find. Although not central, easy bus ride into town (nothing is near to hotel) Free parking.

Review 70:Room very cold and no heating. Restaurant "fully booked" but actually was empty. Service room menu says no extra charge will apply but they want to charge 3.5 pounds...

Review 71:Big room. Easy parking and good wifi.

Review 72:Ample car parking, very spacious rooms, comfortable large beds and lots of facilities for a three star hotel including, tea making, water, drinks machine in corridor.

Review 73:Bed was terrible and no bed side cupboard on one side of bed. And stupid door system in bathroom. Air conditioning for cold air useless for heat.

Review 74:Food quality was excellent.

Review 75:The layout of this hotel was very modern and very nice, the staff were friendly and the food at the restaurant was reasonably priced and very good value for money. The only problem was the gym/exercise room, there were only 5 pcs of cardio equipment, which looked quite old, no weights or anything else, this would be the only thing that lets this hotel down.

Review 76:There was nothing we didn't like

Review 77:The hotel is nicely situated and easy to find. The staff are very friendly, hotel is generally clean & tidy and the suite that we booked was more than value for money

Review 78:The restaurant staff were singularly unhelpful and rude.

Review 79:Good location and accessible parking. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, as were the bar staff.

Review 80:I had some difficulty using the car registration system; I felt that the young lady receptionist was a little impatient. She could have been a little more smiling. I am used to the reaction I would get at home in France where she would probably have taken over and done it fo rme very quickly.

Review 81:the bacon was like shoe leather eggs were meant to be fried but looked hard boiled sausages were rock hard and loaded with fat most of it was dried up did not like at all

Review 82:not a lot one of the staff was very good and she was called page in the restaurant

Review 83:It was very good value. We had a large bedroom with 2 double beds and the bathroom contained a good-sized bath and there was lots of hot water. We were most impressed. Parking was easy and at no extra cost.

Review 84:Jobs worth staff attitude in Room Service. Too busy with a wedding to answer the phone, when I got through was told its now after 10.00 and no hot food. Offered some cold chips with my sandwich and then asked "did I want it delivering to my room"

Review 85:Room large and comfortable, most comfortable hotel bed ever! Quite and a good nights sleep after a traumatic ferry journey.

Review 86:There was no communication between reception and restaurant staff - we booked a table to be told later that it had never been passed on.

Review 87:Good location and very comfortable beds

Review 88:The restaurant was quiet disappointing. The food wasn't exceptional, not for the price. One of my family members couldn't eat one of meals as it was too acidic, we told a waitress about the problem and she explained that it was the way chicken was supposed to taste like. It still wasn't edible. The waitress offered that we pay for half chicken starter which was terrible! We declined that silly offer and my family member ordered the soup instead. Which she said tasted like the sauce made with the chicken. I didn't have the breakfast, but I'd give that a go and see if it is a disappointment like the dinner was.

Review 89:The location was ideal as I was close to friends that live in Plymouth. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. I would definitely stay again.

Review 90:The worst Pork Chop meal ever. Couldn't cut them or chew them. Returned the meal and went hungry.

Review 91:A good situation, good parking for disabled. Excellent lifts, easy going atmosphere.

Review 92:The service in the restaurant on the evening was a little slow, however the staff on duty were very polite and apologetic, so we were not too put out

Review 93:The parking was ideal, the hotel is situated very close to buses into town, we didn't need to drive anywhere whilst in Plymouth. The room was very good and spacious, the location was perfect, would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Review 94:Nothing not to like

Review 95:Comfortable convenient and very pleasant hotel rooms were great and although a little outside of town public transport was. Just outside and only took five mins to reach city centre

Review 96:My daughters loved staying in the suite that we book and was really upset that we had to leave!!

Review 97:My daughter has a dairy allergy. Staff went out of their way to ensure & create an evening meal that was suitable for her. We really appreciate anyone that can adapt for her as many places are not as helpful.

Review 98:Requested early check in at 12 which I had confirmation about via Booking.com but wasn't available when I came to check in.

Review 99:Very large and spacious rooms and hotel in general. Good parking facilities. Nice extras in the rooms such as the shampoo and wine glasses! Excellent value for money.

Review 100:The bed always gives me a back ache every time I stay here and the Breskfast...... Sausages were burnt so much that you could not cut through it and the fried egg was baked and hard, baked beans were all dried up.

Review 101:The staff and cleanliness

Review 102:everything was perfect, the purpose of our visit was to see an 89 year old relative,so we did'nt use the facilities, but we were very impressed with the facilities

Review 103:The bed was so uncomfortable, didn't sleep much, decided to turn mattress or would have to leave. Not enough variation in the breakfast cereal. Hotel was quite empty and quiet upon arrival but we given a room with absolutely no view for our 6 nights stay. Very disappointed. Try to put herbal tea in the rooms, we appreciate selection but not everyone drinks tea and coffee.

Review 104:Loved the size of the rooms and the spaciousness. The ensuite especially separation of bathroom and toilets. Staff were very professional. Location was also good.

Review 105:I don't think we should of been charge an extra 18 pound on top for breakfast, it should of been inclusive, considering we paid 99 pound for just one night anyway! By overall it was a lovely hotel.

Review 106:My only complaint regarding the room was that the quality of the bedding was poor. Re breakfast, for £9.50 we thought the choice was poor.

Review 107:Lovely big room, good sized TV, bathroom with unusually good amount of space to store toiletries and good light.

Review 108:Late night bar staff unable to mix a G&T or work the till to chargeto the room. Frayed bath towel which was apologised for.

Review 109:Great big rooms, very comfortable, good location out of City centrewhich suited us

Review 110:Arrived approx. 8.15pm after 4/5hr drive from Staffs & asked about restaurant - advised open until 10.00pm so went to room to settle in. At 9.00 went to eat & advised no availability until 9.45pm! Insincere apology & having left it until 9 obviously most pubs etc stop serving - why didn't someone advise when booking in impression was tough our problem! Enjoyed a previous stay hence re-booked but unlikely to stay in the future as staff attitude unacceptable.

Review 111:As above.

Review 112:Nothing we didn't like

Review 113:Good value for money, friendly and helpful staff. We left before breakfast so can't comment on that. The king suite was amazing.

Review 114:Chiquito at the Leisure Park near the harbour majorly lacked friendly staff - don't bother going there! £3.50 charge for two bottles of water being brought to room is a bit excessive. Room service for food I can understand, but two bottles of water....

Review 115:Location worked as taxis are so cheap! Really clean hotel and big rooms. Late check out for only an extra £10.

Review 116:no fridge in room, but had all other facilities needed for a stay overnight.

Review 117:Lovely big room with comfy beds and great pillow selection. Good location not to far from town centre.

Review 118:Difficulty locating Hotel even with satnav and phone directions from Receptionist confusing.

Review 119:Comfortable bed. Spacious room and facilities. Convenience of inhouse restaurant. Pleasant staff. Excellent cleanliness of room.

Review 120:It was just difficult getting into and out of Plymouth. Average 40 min bus journey into town,

Review 121:Excellent value for money. Friendly staff and very helpful. Room fabulous and the beds were amaxing. 2 Queen size beds. Bath and shower great altogether excellent

Review 122:Reception staff on arrival weren't very friendly or helpful. The hotel assumes that 3 children is 2 children aged 4+ and a baby and were reluctant to come up with a solution to 3 children over 5. Our youngest who is 8 had to sleep on pillows on the floor as there wasn't a bed for him to sleep in just a travel cot.

Review 123:Size of the bed/room. Staff in the restaurant.

Review 124:Sadly the breakfast was a total nightmare. By far the worst eating experience in my life. I should have walked out. They were short staffed and had not cleaned any pots from the tables! We had to clear space and then eat surrounded by lots of discarded plates and half eaten food. At least the manager was good enough to refund the cost in full. A very bad experience and one I never want to repeat.

Review 125:The room was top class.

Review 126:Couldn't get the small lights by mirror or hairdryer to work.

Review 127:Room was clean, comfortable and provided all the comforts one might need away from home

Review 128:Furnitures old fashioned and cheap. Bed uncomfortable and bed sheets of poor quality. The room cleanness has to be improved.

Review 129:Free Parking and Free Wi-Fi are attractive for sure. Then the position was functional to my job appointment. The bathroom was relatively new and there was a big flat TV in my room. Apparently a good restaurant inside the hotel, but hadn't a chance to try.

Review 130:beds, mattresses becoming over soft. Some fixtures (wash basins, baths etc) showing signs of wear and due for renewal soon

Review 131:Excellent location Large well furnished rooms pleasant facilities free parking large befs

Review 132:The only bad thing was an early morning knocking at the door by children from another room

Review 133:Lovely polite and helpful staff, the restaurant staff were lovely and polite even when faced with a drunk and rude customer-the portion sizes were very big!! Lovely to have a wine glasses in your room and nice and spacious room!!

Review 134:the resturant manager was starchy on finding we had not pre booked i have never had to do this at a venue whilst staying before she told a junior staff member to show us to a table and we found her frosty attitude spoiled the meal we did not use the resturant again

Review 135:most of the staff in particular recetion very helpfull

Review 136:My only criticism is the noise from nextroom as couple having sex all night and banging walls!! Quite jealous really. Oh and please could you provide cot blankets next time instead of big thick adult blankets

Review 137:Very modern. Clean. How you would want yr hotel to be on arrival. Everything to hand. Very nice.

Review 138:As we had eaten late on the night of our arrival an were attending an 11am christening followed by lunch the next morning all we wanted was a piece of toast and coffee for breakfast. Sadly we were informed we would have to pay for the full buffet. Surely there should be a charge for a continental breakfast? We booked through bookings.com and their confirmation gives an incorrect post code. Your receptionist seemed to think this amusing as it happens all the time. We did not as we had wasted over half and hour trying to work it out.

Review 139:Spacious rooms and toilet nice a private
