Reviews for Penrhadw Farm

Review 1:Large cottage that is very well furnished and equipped. They even had a Christmas tree setup for us which was just lovely. Beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff. Would certainly recommend, especially for a longer stay.

Review 2:The Staff were great. They were very welcoming and helpful. The room we had was superb. It was spotlessly clean with a wonderful view. The breakfast was great. The others in the group loved their stay also. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again. Thank you.

Review 3:Friendly staff, and a fabulous breakfast. At nice pub with good food just five minutes walk away. Not the most luxurious bedroom, and the shower had a mind of its own, but it didn't matter, as it was lovely otherwise.

Review 6:I made a last minute booking for 2 double rooms in the main farmhouse but the owner called me and offered a 4 bedroom cottage instead so I have no complaints! The place is beautiful, spacious and clean. All the staff were very nice, friendly and welcoming, the breakfast in the main house was great - good variety and quality. I would highly recommend this farm if you need a beautiful, peaceful place close to Brecon

Review 15:having the house to ourselves, it was warm and cosy compared to the howling gale outside. It's very quiet and relaxing with as much independence as you like. Everything and more is on hand / tap better than a hotel Worth every penny and a very warm reception from Anne and staff. Well done

Review 16:Having booked and confirmed we had a twin room in the farmhouse. When we checked in that we were taken to a 3 bedroom holiday semi on a housing estate 150 yards across the main road from the farm. Good accommodation but not what we were expecting. The double bed had seen better days.

She waited for us at the farm house until we arrived safely at 10.30pm, and was so understanding and could laugh with us at our exploits of the journey! Nothing was too much trouble. You cant call them staff, they were like family, and lovely. So helpful and friendly. Rooms really nice and breakfasts brill. The location has outstanding views of brecons & the light railway. A number of our party were walking the Beacons Way for charity and we completed it in four and a half days do there wasn't't much time to enjoy the facilities provided here, but we would love to go back.

Review 69:Pleasant, well-equipped room, use of lounge with big TV, beautiful location. Superb breakfast - well worth it's 4* status!

Review 70:Noisy plumbing. Late night arrivals (noise). Bed's too springy. Spiders in top corners of room / bathroom. Breakfast table was cluttered. Too much noise from staff in the kitchen at breakfast.

Review 71:Good location. Good pub serving quality food within walking distance. Good size room / bathroom.

Review 72:nothing.

Review 73:Warm, relaxed welcome. Generous, friendly, thoughtful team. Amazing, tasty breakfasts which kept us full all day! Extraordinary views, beautiful Brecon countryside. Close to good roads, two pubs in the village. Welsh welcome and delight in suggesting places to go. The visit to the Aberfan memorial, some 10 miles away, was humbling and enriched by the story of a survivor.

Review 74:Unfortunately some inconsiderate guests slammed the heavy wooden doors to their rooms and elsewhere in the guest house from early morning til late at night. Some signs asking guests not to slam doors would be helpful perhaps. Smell from oil fueled boiler wafted into the house and our bedroom which was not pleasant on occasions. Maybe boiler needed servicing.
