Review 1：The patio doors did not have a curtain so it was not private for getting to the bathroom in the evenings ect ! So could do with curtains or the fence area bring more private !!

Review 4：Fantastic location to explore the island. We hired bikes directly from hotel which was fab. Chloe was very friendly and helpful.

Review 5：As with many places like this you pay money for cleaning at the end of your stay if you do not clean it yourself. I think we left it cleaner than we found it!! In September the sun hardly hit the patio area. Would have liked an oven! Steps to upstairs bedroom very steep and possibly dangerous for youngsters.

Review 6：We liked the arrangement of the 'cottages' around the pool. They were well equipped as was the bbq area which also had comfortable seating. Bikes to rent on site - cheaper by the week, but necessary to access shops and local area if not using a car - only way to see the island really. Staff helpful and pleasant. Lovely pool area.

Review 7：Not a bad experience, but useful to know it is a bit isolated. Certainly bikes are available at 9 euros each (full day). But without these a walk to a supermarket to get provisions is difficult and getting to and from nearest bus stop is also difficult, especially for older travellers. There are no taxis available so you ether walk or use the bikes.

Review 8：Lovely, in woods, quiet, very good facilities. Very friendly and helpful. Owner/manager picked us up from St Martin, which was very nice.

Review 9：The hotel seems to be poorly maintained. The accommodation was not clean, we had to clean everything when we moved in! We left it much cleaner than we found it which is bad for a hotel. The bar seemed to close very early, the website and images of this place are misleading. It was nowhere near what we had hoped for. Neglected is the best word to describe it.

Review 11：Two tiny drawbacks: 1. there was a bit of a delay in getting the breakfast we booked for the first morning of our stay (we arrived late the night before). 2. There wasn't any info in English available as to the proximity of shops and eating places (very close via bike it turned out).

Review 23：The bedroom for our 2 daughters was tiny and had bunk beds. Would not have been suitable for adults. Cottage seemed a little old and tired, and some crockery chipped/cracked.

Review 24：Very friendly owners - we turned up very early for check in, and it was not a problem. We loved the location - 10 minutes cycle to St Martin and close to the supermarkets for supplies. Lovely pool which was heated. Very quiet spot, nestled in the woods. Comfortable bed!

Review 46：our cleaning lady seemed ignorant of the fact that a reciprocal smile or a "goodmorning" response was necessary. such a shame as she is representing her company and country to foreigners like ourselves. maybe some training in this would be a good idea. my husband said he would not come back due to the ignorance of the cleaning staff at le bois - he tried three times to get a response and he is not used to being ignored! maybe the lady was a foreigner herself - i dont know - all i know is that after she had finished cleaning there were still three pairs of someone elses underpants and two pairs of socks on the shelf in the cottage! not nice! the cottage was lovely and clean other than that. no smoke detectors in cottage. in the uk this would be a mandatory requirement due to its setting in the middle of woods.
