Reviews for Elia Beach
Review 1:The location is far from the city and it is pretty expensive to arrive their
Review 2:The view, the restaurant and the beach with the seats that belongs to the hotel
Review 3:They would not provide transfers from port and to airport at the times required. I needed to arrange my own through another hotel.
Review 4:The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 5:Rooms are behind restaurant with no view. OK if you want to chill on the beach and always eat at their restaurant, which was good but expensive. No shuttle into town. Had to change rooms because ours became infested with ants.
Review 6:Conveniently located near the beach.
Review 7:The wifi was atrocious - It only worked for about 5 minutes out of 3 days in the room and was horribly slow in the restaurant area. A clock in the room would have been nice as well.
Review 8:Amazing beach location and spacious, clean and modern-looking accommodations.
Review 9:Bathroom was fine for one person, but would have been a squeeze for two. Requires some maintenance - shower-head spraying in all directions and floor drain insecure!
Review 10:Service great, staff wonderful, all were very friendly and helpful. Nice food, good cocktails and great iced coffee.
Review 11:No reception or any signs, you need to ask in a restaurant in the beach and a young lady will bring you to the room and you will never see her again, so basically it's not a hotel. Bad wifi, you need to go out of the room.
Review 12:Location. Clean, modern rooms.
Review 13:Missing reception for check in & Check Out! No room Service, "Do not disturb" Tag missing from Doors,Wifi is slow as not working, missing language handle table.
Review 14:Area for Beach life, restaurant next which is same owner, try Elia Salad!!! Nice plates and deserts!! Also the Quality of the room and bathroom is excellent plus I liked too much the Bath and Shampoo miniatures! Beds are Cocomat !!!!
Review 15:The hotel was quite isolated with only one bar and restaurants by it, it didn't have a pool and they were charging hotel guests 20 euros to sit on their sun loungers on the beach in front of the hotel.
Review 16:The bed was really comfy, nice stylish room with a good shower.
Review 17:We felt that for the price of the rooms, breakfast ought to have been included. We did eat at the restaurant in the evening and the food was adequate, but again rather overpriced for what it was (but this is Mykonos!) The room was comfortable, but had been furnished with a lack of attention to small details e.g. drawers that were difficult to open (not on runners) and a leaky fridge. The beach was lined with parasols, if that's your thing (20 Euros a piece)! The property is situated at the base of a very steep road with not much nearby, so you need a car. This said there are some pretty beaches nearby which we are glad we explored.
Review 18:The beach huts are set back from the beach but have lovely views. The room and bathroom are very spacious with creative lighting to make up for the lack of windows. It was a good base for exploring the island if you have a car.
Review 19:Taps in bathroom were dirty. Didn't give our passport back and we forgot to ask. They couldn't be bothered to drop it off in Mykonos town or contact us.
Review 20:Location. View. Food.
Review 21:The closest shops are 7 min drive away - would be good to have a little store as part of the hotel to buy some food items. The fact we still had to pay for the loungers on the beach even though we were staying at Elia bay Could not connect to wifi from apartment
Review 22:The apartment was great and right on the beach. Food and cocktails were good
Review 23:Apartment was next to another resort that played loud boring music from 8am to 9 pm to their section of the beach. Wifi non existent in apartment. Notified management but not rectified. Required to pay extra for beach towel and use of sun lounge.
Review 24:location was away from main tourist area. Food was great.
Review 25:No reception, had to walk around until I found it. Woman at desk v rude. No wifi. There's nothing much to do unless you go to the beach.
Review 26:Close to the beach, obviously, comfy and modern rooms
Review 27:The rip-off at the restaurant and the fact that there are no other shops nearby.'Mythos at 6 Euro but only 2 to 3 Euro on other islands (and on the beach....)
Review 28:The beach was excellent.and also the accommodation but the restaurant was a rip-off since there were no shops in the immediate vicinity. We were charged 7 Euro for a bottle of water that costs between 1 and 1.5 Euro on other islands. Simply rediculous if you think of drinking water as a basic commodity..
Review 29:The staff did not even knew us coming, the owner and the restaurant staffs didnt event try to talk to us in english when they found out we are not the restaurant user. The restaurant and this hotel I would never go back. The wifi doesnt work in the room and none of the staff members speak english. The room is not clean and safe.
Review 30:Its close by the beach
Review 31:Distance from main town and no mini market nearby to be able to use the kitchen equipment.
Review 32:Great food in the restaurant. Staff in restaurant were fantastic. Closeness to the beach. Hosts extremely helpful transported us to and from the Airport.
Review 33:We still had to pay for our sunbed despite being residents in the hotel. Additional cost if you have your sunbed under an umbrella! When I asked for beach towels we were also being charged until we protested so they finally gave it for free.
Review 34:The beach was just a few meters away from our room, which is why we chose this place. The beach is not so crowded and the water was crystal clear. Good food. Public bus service to town.
Review 35:The one and only negative point is that it's around 12kms away from town and other places. However, there are hourly buses to transport people from/to Elia beach so it's fine :)
Review 36:Everything about the stay at Elia was perfect. Very friendly staff that were like family, excellent property with room directly on the beach, and super yummy food (tried almost the whole menu list) :) very recommended!
Review 37:Have to pay 14 euros per person for use of beach (why when u rright on it??) breakfast is not free the restaurant is veryexpensive and no discount for hotel guests wifi is non existent inmost parts of the hotel
Review 38:Excellent kind staff - picked us up and dropped us off very clean righton the beach
Review 39:They were hosting a very large wedding to include an elaborate bandstand. The wedding itself was extremely loud(first night) and the dismantling of the band stand was disruptive for the remaining two days.
Review 40:It is a quaint beach hotel.
Review 41:Nothing perfect for a relaxing short break will definetly be returning
Review 42:Food excellent beach and service faultless and rooms spacious and well appointed the team were friendly and couldn't do enough for you
Review 43:Basic TV with just a few Greek channels. No problem with that as soon as weather was good:)
Review 44:Authentic Greek house: simple, spacious, convenient, well insulated from the sun and occasional noise outside. Large terrace with table and sunbeds is a bonus. Beach and nice restaurant less than 50 meters away.
Review 45:Selecting this rental was my mistake because I did not know how isolated it was.
Review 46:Staying at Elia Beach means only the beach. If you want anything else you must rent a car and drive for at least 20 minutes. Only one restaurant and it was very expensive.
Review 47:On the web site of the hotel they offer free pick up from old port or airport, but when you ask them they charge it 30 Euro for way!!! They give it free only if you stay for a week they said, but sure in a week you will rent a car for your use. They are uncorrect.
Review 48:The sea, the beach is always crowned and there are other places where you can sleep at the right price. The restaurant is expensive.
Review 49:The location is a bit tough to get to. It is far from town and not as well connected by buses, especially at night. Taxis can be tough to get on the island too.
Review 50:The hotel has a very nice vibe, people are fun and staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The beach and water is beautiful, especially for an early morning swim. We had an early morning ferry out of Mykonos and the owners very kindly offered to drive us to the port. Very very nice of them.
Review 51:The transportation in the island is terrible, and arriving to Elia is Hard and expensive...
Review 52:It's clean and sabe, food is delicious and the staff is hot hehe
Review 53:we went as a family, with our little girl! We paid for 6 nights, all inclusive! but it was not quite so! we were not informed either by booking.com site nor by the hotel, for meals that were provided by the owner of the hotel, we didn't knew that the breakfast was 8 € per person, while breakfast and dinner € 15 per person! This is not fair! The restaurant prices were too high, so we could't order so much meals!! even this is not fair! The second day we were told that drinks like cola etc., were not included in "all inclusive"! even this is not fair! The fourth day we were told that even sweets were not included in the "all inclusive" package! even this was not fair! only one pasta dish was 15 €!!!! So you can not even order a salad! except that we paid "all inclusive", yet once again we paid to eat! And what if we didn't have other money???This is a trick! if you want to go to elia beach, do not pay all inclusive!!! This has not happend in any other hotel where we have been! This that owners make is unprecedented in any other hotel in any country where we have been! shame for the owners!
Review 54:The location, the beach - exellent! The wife who clean the rooms is also very good! The staff too!
Review 55:All was excellent, needed to hire a car as not really a reliable taxi service on the island, but a bus runs from the hotel into Mykonos town on a regular basis
Review 56:Fantastic location right on the beach, super friendly staff, excellent quality restaurant offering a variety of local dishes, immaculate room, great value for money
Review 57:When we arrived the first thing that shocked us was that there was no reception, the reception was the bar, which for the amount we payed for the room is not good. We reserved a double bed room and they had only a twin room, instead of apologising the women who did the check-in said that we hadn´t ask for it, when she found out she was incorrect and it was detailed in the reservation she didn´t apologise either. The hotel has no facilities at all, no swimming pool and not even umbrellas by the beach that you could use as hotel guest. The breakfast at their restaurant is too expensive for the value. I will not recommend this hotel to friends or family.
Review 58:The only good thing about this hotel is that´s it´s just by the beach and Elia beach is nice and big.
Review 59:Not much happening at night, but we didn't mind that too much. Also taxis can be a mission.
Review 60:The staff were friendly. The food was nice! The cocktails were outstanding!! The beach is literally right there! And you can be served drinks on it! !
Review 61:Lots of day tourists at lunchtime but they disappear as evening falls so no problem
Review 62:Lovely friendly staff, modern yet simple accommodation, peaceful setting, great food....
Review 63:The shower floods the bathroom because the glass door doesn't stop the water at the bottom. The site is quite overpriced. Beach too crowded with umbrellas. Too much water skiing and "banana" boats.
Review 64:Sea and sand are excellent. The studios are very comfortable and elegant, with a pleasant patio outside, plenty of parking, helpful staff, all very clean.
Review 65:- there's no reception, you have to check-in at the restaurant - the rooms look like they are build in an old barn and they are located behind the restaurant, not beachfront : we were very didappointed with this - the shower door does not stop the water from leaking out of the shower, we flooded the bathroom every time we had a shower - the breakfast was the worse we ever had: 5 slices of plain white bread for 2 people, butter and jam, orange juice from concentrate and coffee. We paid for half board but we were so disappointed with the 1st breakfast that we never came back for another breakfast or meal. - you have to pay 12€ for the sunbeds at the beach - outrageously expensive, paid 146€ per night! - I reccomend you book the Myconian Imperial Resort, just up the road. It's a 5 star hotel and we paid only 35£ more per night, and we were treated like royalty!
Review 66:- location (right on the beach) - clean room - refurbished bathroom - we borrowed beach towels from the restaurant, free of charge, which was nice
Review 67:prices are a little high, but compensates with quality and beauty of the place. At the end of the day, Will you be impressed.
Review 68:everything, absolutely everything is very nice, we had all conditions, accommodation, very friendly staff, this are all around at the most beautiful restaurant on the island. If you get in Mykonos, is mandatory to reach Elia .... it's a very professional family business
Review 69:I didnt have a T.V although they said they have one in the website. They said its broken and they got me one after i complained. They charge 6 Euro for a beach bed and it was very windy while i was there.
Review 70:I stayed in a very nice and clean room. Decorated nicely. Bed was comfortable. Stuff were nice and helpfull. Very good restaurant. Crowed was mostly families and couples. Nice beach. Fair prices.
Review 71:I've already recommended it! Lovely location, really friendly and helpful staff, quiet early mornings and evenings and (very) busy at lunchtime. Excellent restaurant, great owners, as one person said, nothing seems too much trouble.
Review 72:I knew about the location very good but the restourant is even better all the staff fantastic !!! The owner Yanis is fantastic And at the restorant ask for Vangelis and Lorenzo ! Ciao a tutti Wally
Review 73:No windows in room! The room has a seaview but only if you open the door! There is no security in front of the door, you can not feel secure.
Review 74:Very weak WiFi
Review 75:Localisation and restaurant were exelent!
Review 76:Really nice beach and great comfortable rooms
Review 77:A family owner & operated business sine 1969. An awesome place to go & relax. If you stay there you need transport as. It's out of town.
Review 78:Wifi available only outside the room, not enough storing places (we had to let our things in our suitcases)
Review 79:Location, personnel, cleanliness.
Review 80:staff - overpriced breakfast - no transfer service from airport or port -
Review 81:location - free sunbeds
Review 82:Nicely sylish rooms
Review 83:Good beachside location, chic and stylish accommodation, great food with excellent staff.
Review 84:No mini bar! Not even water in fridge!
Review 85:Location staff and service
Review 86:Everything
Review 87:The only draw back is that the hotel is far from the city centre
Review 88:Beach, food and Atmosphere are amazing
Review 89:* Breakfast not included in room
Review 90:* Location * Restaurant direct at the beach
Review 91:Very good room, beach, location and and very kind staff.
Review 92:too far from any town bad wifi
Review 93:beautiful sea
Review 94:No pool
Review 95:Location
Review 96:sometimes the wifi is a bit temperamental but with a beach like this, who needs a phone!
Review 97:proximity to the beach nice spacious clean rooms with new bathrooms restaurant is very convenient and food is good as well. the owner Mr Giannis is extremely helpful
Review 98:I would expect it to have a small hairdryer and shower gel or sampoo in the room. Didn't like that you pay extra for the sunbeds in the beach, although they belong to the hotel.
Review 99:The location is great. The bed was one of the most comfortable i have slept on. The room was clean and big.
Review 100:the restaurant held large noisy functions on 2 of the 3 nights that went till after 3.00 am, would have been ok if we had been notified prior , but spoiled the first night in particular with a loud DJ till 4.00am
Review 101:close to the beach , generally quiet at night
Review 102:It was a scam mykonos style. Its our 11th time in mykonos and never had such an issue with other hotels/rental places we've booked before. We booked Elia place 1.5 month prior to our arrival and got all confirmation needed for the place. When we arrived, the owner told us that they are over booked and they will place us in a nearby hotel (myconian hotel). Although the hotel was good, we booked Elia's place as a two bedrooms acomodation as we came with two friends of us and wanted to be together. Moreover we wanted to be as close as possible to the beach itself and the hotel was up up the hill and a car was needed to get to beach. Do not trust this operators!!
Review 103:The alternative hotel was o.k
Review 104:Located far away from the city. For eating or drinking there is only the bar very expensive. The room wasn't cleaned properly, and during the stay the bed linens have never been changed. The wi-fi connection worked only in the bar and not in the rooms. The beach is fine but over crowded. Too expensive
Review 105:Close to Elia beach
Review 106:Staff was not very helpful. There is no reception. If you are a newcomer, you will get lost just trying to check-in.
Review 107:Clean and the room was nice with a good balcony. Suitable for ahoneymoon or a quiet beach vacation.
Review 108:I wasn't given the room I have asked for. They gave me a roomwhich was cheaper for what I have paid and told me "SORRY we gaveyour room to another, we can give you only this ROOOM". Want mymoney back !!!!
Review 109:The rooms were very nice decorated and comfortable. We went there with two children and everything was great. The beach is near the rooms and the restaurant was EXCELLENT!
Review 110:A bit too far from Chora, the centre of the Island, difficult to move if not driving!
Review 111:Elia beach apartments are te perfect spot for anyone looking to relax, unwind and let go! Magnificent scenery, calming and inspiring! The staff was way too helpful and friendly! Value for money and lovely food menu at the restaurant! Would highly recommend it to anyone !
Review 112:You would need to rent a car for evenings in city (but it is not realy a minus).
Review 113:Sea is so close Food in their restaurant excellent Owners professional and helped us organising our stay on Mykonos
Review 114:no brekfast is included breakfast start time is too late no international TV channels bad relation quality/price
Review 115:The cleaness of the room comfort of the room air conditioning
Review 116:Simple, clean, friendly and excellent food.
Review 117:the proximity to the beach the restaurant the comfortable rooms the helpful owner
Review 118:Terrible wifi, beach chair's were paid as if you didn't stayed in the hotel
Review 119:Very good room, localization...
Review 120:Leaving!
Review 121:Mr Joanus the owner was ever present, nothing too much trouble and always so cheerful, outstanding.
