Reviews for The Cottage

Review 1:Loved it all!!!

Review 2:Greeted with a very warm welcome fr Charlotte, who was incredibly accommodating and made us feel instantly relaxed, and right at home! The location proved peaceful and serene which allowed us to soak up every last minute!!

Review 3:The surroundings were superb as was the accommodation. The owner met us upon our arrival, explained everything and the continental breakfast was more than we could ask for.

Review 4:If I had one minor gripe it would be no mirrors near a plug that I could see. A bit of a nuisance for drying/straightening hair. But it's not enough to stop me going again.

Review 5:The owner was very helpful and pleasant. The cottage itself was excellent.

Review 6:Nothing. No complaints.

Review 7:The friendly, welcoming face of Collette who greeted me at the Cottage when I first arrived. The ambiance, the old charm feel to the stove, the comfort of the beds, the fact that Elaine said yes when I asked her to marry me in the grounds of this beautiful property:)

Review 8:Nothing was bad

Review 9:Liked the whole weekend my daughter and I whilst working were really relaxed and the cottage was excellent many thanks for your hospitality and welcome

Review 10:The cottage is set in beautifully landscaped gardens in a picturesque Hertfordshire village. Has the rural quaintness of hens (fresh-laid eggs for breakfast) and a log-burning stove. Stylishly decorated, great W-Fi connection & easy rail connections to London and Cambridge.

Review 11:not a negative word to speak of this place! perfect!

Review 12:meet and greet with Charlotte who is an absolute star! They make their own delicious apple juice which is stocked up fresh in the fridge along with fresh honey they also produce on site! woodburner was a great addition to make the place so cosy and comfortable perfect location very beautiful surroundings

Review 13:- Difficult to think of any issues

Review 14:- Excellent welcome & follow up - Décor - Artwork - Peaceful - ok a few planes, but not a problem & a long way from traffic

Review 15:Water pressure is low, the hand held shower did work but we opted to have baths instead. There is minimal noise from Stansted Airport between the hours of 6am to about 11am. If you are used to minimal road noise I'm sure it wouldn't bother you. We live in a very quiet rural area so were just more aware of it. The children loved watching the planes so it wasn't necessarily a negative and didn't disturb our sleep at all.

Review 16:The Cottage is beautiful, homely and extremely comfortable. We travelled with our two young children (3 and 6) and wanted an alternative to a hotel as we wanted a family room with separate sleeping areas. The cottage is ideally situated for Stansted Airport. It would be suitable for a flight stop-over or a longer stay to explore Essex and trips in to London and Cambridge. The facilities are lovely and there is thoughtful attention to detail in the way the cottage has been decorated. We really enjoyed the home made produce (jams and fruit juice) as well as delicious croissants and bread. The owners provided fresh milk, butter, bread and cereals as well as eggs and beans. We were so grateful as it made our stay with the kids so much easier. The owner invited our children to explore the beautiful grounds surrounding the cottage and they loved feeding the chickens! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other travellers. We would return if staying in the area again.

Review 17:Loved the cottage facilities were excellent and cosy was great to be able to put the little ones to bed then chill out would definetly go back The owner Charlotte was absolutely lovely and let our grandchildren feed the chickens with her and her daughter they loved it
