Reviews for Vermont Guest House

Review 1:This isn't really a bad thing as it depends on your own preferences, but we found it VERY warm. Although in the Highlands, with snowfall outside, at least there's no problem with the heating. Also the walls of the rooms are quite thin so you can hear everyone else's movement, but that didn't bother us so much either.

Review 2:Excellent breakfast, lovely host and a decent sized room.

Review 3:Excellent place to stay. Wonderful host. ellen was very helpful and provided great info about the local area and restaurants. cant recommend it enogh . Will stay there again!!!

Review 4:Being told that breakfast was a non negotiable 8.30am on Sunday morning - later explained to suit other ttavellers

Review 5:It was a late booking and was easily achieved

Review 6:Ellen is a lovely friendly host and everything was great at the B&B. Central location for activities. There is an excellent Italian restaurant near the roundabout at the end of town.

Review 7:bed sheets were not clean room was upstairs with no lifts so had to carry the suitcase shower was blocked and had to be reopened next day quite expensive 260GBP for 2 nights beds were not comfortable Palatable drinking water not available in the rooms, so had to buy our own water from near by tesco

Review 8:good wifi with close proximity to highlands

Review 9:The bed could have been more comfortable. There were really rude people sitting next to us during breakfast...

Review 10:The host of this B&B was really friendly. The room was nice and well equipped. The breakfast was good and the Guest House was really close to the centre of Aviemore with restaurants and shops in walking distance. There also was free Wifi.

Review 11:Shared bathroom was basic and the free WiFi didn't work. Bit of a problem when you try to plan walking routes and day trips online as you go.

Review 12:Owner is lovely and helpful. The guest house is right in the town so a 10 min walk to anywhere.

Review 13:Ellen was a lovely host, really friendly and professional. The room was spotless and the location is the ideal if you are planning a trip in the wild.I would suggest this guest house to anyone.

Review 14:A minor criticism, but there was only one small bar of soap in the ensuite.

Review 15:George and Ellen are great hosts. They make you feel really welcome. Well located for all village shops and restaurants.

Review 16:Aviemore is an ugly place and very expensive compared to other (nice!) places around in Scotland. I would prefer to stay in a nice village close there, but not in this town. The B&B is totally standard, nothing special, the breakfast rather small and below average. When we asked for heating, the owner said she was not cold so she did not turn the heating on...and we paid 70 GBP....not very friendly I'd say...

Review 17:WiFi wasn't working, shower could have been better but was acceptable.

Review 18:Great location in the centre of Aviemore no more than 5-10 mins walk from the train station/bus stop. Good room, really friendly host and decent breakfast.

Review 19:Shower did not work properly. bed very hard. Got twin room when I was sure I booked a double,

Review 20:lovely warm welcome and delicious breakfast. The room and dining room were beautifully clean.

Review 21:I visited Vermont, with my young son, for a night's stay in Aviemore. From the minute we arrived, until the time we sadly had to depart, Ellen, our host, made us feel extremely welcome!! This guest house is a fine example of highland hospitality at its best and Ellen really did everything she could to make our stay most enjoyable and comfortable. The guest house is situated just a minute or two's walk away from the heart of Aviemore, which is absolutely ideal, as it's just far enough away to not be disturbed by the noise from the town's nightlife, but close enough to be very convenient. The guest house itself was very clean, well organised and had everything we needed, plus a few nice extra touches. Our ensuite bathroom was spotlessly clean, without exaggeration. We were treated to a delicious cooked breakfast the following morning, and Ellen even took into consideration my young son's fussy palette, and tailored the cooked component of his breakfast to suit. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, and I did not need to eat for the rest of the day until tea time!! I've no doubt we will return to Vermont in the near future!

Review 22:Noisy and despite the booking as en suite it was a shared bath room with a very noisy shower and water supply.

Review 26:Ellen was very welcoming. The property is in a good location and there are plenty of restaurants in Aviemore. It is the scenery that sells this town, with the Cairngorms and other places of interest and beauty so near at hand.

Review 27:excellent location both for going into aviemore and visiting further afield. Friendly owners who were happy to advise on local restaurants and attractions. Although our room was right at the front of the house facing the main road very little traffic or people noise could be heard from about 1030pm
