Reviews for The Glastonbury Townhouse
Review 1:Just the outside steps, leading to the pavement area. Would suggest a handrail to be fitted.
Review 2:Just a brilliant b/b. The Hosts were friendly and informative. Spotless accommodation and comfy beds. Good amenities. Great breakfast, with ample selection and so well cooked. No hesitation in recommending.
Review 3:The house is on a main road which did not disturb me as my room was at the back.
Review 4:Attention to detail was great. The house is beautifully decorated, the bed comfortable, the landlady friendly. Would stay again.
Review 5:Paula and Simon have a stunning home and worked hard to ensure that we had the best of stays. I felt very spoilt - from the soft fluffy bath sheets, to the numerous tea and coffee choices on offer, plenty of toiletries, fresh milk, chocolates, and luxurious biscuits - no little detail was missed. As for breakfast this was a joy....beautiful freshly prepared fruit salad, choices of cereals and plenty of cooked options. I could want for nothing more. Paula and Simon are great hosts, very attentive and recommended some great places to eat locally too. All in all a fab weekend and we cant wait to come back one day !
Review 6:The attention to detail and the overall desire to be a great hostess was impressive. Breakfast just fabulous. The best in our month's holiday in the UK. Will look forward to staying again.
Review 7:Lovely place to stay, very close to the center and easy to reach. Paula, the owner, is very kind and helpful and the breakfast is gorgeous! I will definitely go back again!
Review 8:It was within walking distance of the town and shops and other local interest points. The breakfasts were SUPERB. Friendly but non-intrusive owners and super clean and welcoming facilities with parking on site.
Review 9:with so many alternative choices, this place was neutral but had a very welcome feeling.there was an eye for detail to what makes that little touch of difference, without being too much..
Review 10:Nothing.
Review 11:The owners were lovely friendly people who couldn't do enough. Plenty of choice of teas, coffees, toiletries etc in room, very comfortable beds, I slept really well despite being a bad sleeper, had a room with a view of the lovely garden. Breakfast was amazing, cooked breakfast plus fruit, yogurt, cereals and toast on offer and delicious. Literally 5 minutes walk from town centre and the main attractions. I will be staying again and would recommend to anybody.
Review 12:Very friendly and welcoming couple run this B&B. Attentive but not intrusive. Very nicely decorated place which was immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast. Definitely recommended.
Review 13:Paula and Simon make you feel completely relaxed and at home in their beautiful property. They really understand what people want for a relaxing break.
Review 14:Our room was very small and awkward. Adequate for a two night stay but no more. It would have been a comfortable single room. The bathroom door hinges the wrong way - so annoying.
Review 15:The friendliness of the hosts.
Review 16:Absolutely nothing!
Review 17:Everything..relaxing,comfortable,great breakfast(even had fruit and fibre),beautiful house and very conveniently situated for walking to town and The Tor.Paula is the best host eveerr. It's her stamp on the place and her warmth that makes the place so special. :-)

Review 24:Our room looked straight onto the main road so it was a little noisy at night but as we were so tired from sportive it didn't bother us too much!
Review 25:Owners welcoming and extremely accommodating. We took part in a multi day cycle sportive and they happily got up very early to make us breakfast! Room was very stylish but also well appointed.

Review 30:Paula and Simon were warm, welcoming, attentive to our needs, and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable. Our breakfast was plentiful and delicious and most important they have a French Press coffee pot!!! Only wish our stay was longer. Hated to leave. Location is stellar. And so are they.
Review 31:It was a beautiful hotel. There was nothing at all to dislike about the visit - perfect stay!
Review 32:This is a super place to base yourself in Glastonbury and I particularly enjoyed breakfast in my bed.
Review 33:The friendliness of both owners made it feel like a home from home. Particularly important when away on business. The House encompassed their personality, will definitely return.
Review 34:I didn't like the fact that we only stayed a couple of nights and won't be seeing Paula and Simon again for some time.
Review 35:Smart, modern, spotlessly clean and well-cooked, varied and tasty breakfast menu, you will be assured of a genuinely warm welcome from a lovely couple who aim to make your stay as happy and as comfortable as they possibly can.
Review 36:The house had a cat .I was training and my eyes were affected by the cat.I am allergic to cats. At £75 it was expensive for a B&B in the winter in a dead end place on a Monday . Poor information about where to eat .
Review 37:Friendly host .Very clean room.
Review 38:Nothing bad to say everything was wonderful
Review 39:Close to the town staff were welcoming and friendly breakfast was excellent room was lovingly decorated spacious and felt like a home from home
Review 40:The overall experience (included Holy the cat). The breakfast cooked to order was magnificent. The helpful new proprietors were great ! When leaving I made another reservation for the next stay.
Review 41:No big deal but the accommodation could do with a larger sign at the front that can be seen from both directions.
Review 42:Superb quality guest house recently taken over by Paula and Simon who really know how to look after people. Accommodation is spotless. Great size breakfast room and superb breakfasts. Ideally situated to tour the area or just a 5 min walk into Glastonbury, Abbey and Tor. Good luck to Paula and Simon and keep up the good work.
Review 43:On main road - didn't bother us, but some people might not like it
Review 44:New owners happy to receive either compliments or suggestions for small improvements. Small touches great - fresh milk in room, lots of flowers, welcoming cat. Smoking in the back garden allowed. overall extremely welcoming.
Review 45:A hook on the back of the door would have been handy for hanging coats - but that's a very minor thing.
Review 46:Simon and Paula provided us with a lovely place to stay for our weekend in Glastonbury. It was my partner's birthday and they even bought her some chocolates! They couldn't have been more welcoming and the room was great. Would definitely use again. The bed was especially comfortable!!

Review 51:Breakfast was great! Greg, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Lovely, modern bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Convenient to town. Perfect experience!
Review 52:Signage poor and internal stairs were steep which may be a problem for senior or disabled guests.
Review 53:Location was super, just a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre and all its attractions. The Townhouse was traditional and practical, our room & ensuite was basic but adequate. The one major plus about this place is the owner, Greg. He was truly amazing, friendly, helpful, looking after us and treated us like long lost family. Off street parking ok.
Review 54:road noise for us was an issue but that is not something the proprietor can control, we live in the countryside and so being in town is something we have to accept when we go away.

Review 56:No negatives at all.
Review 57:Greg made us most welcome. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Nothing would be too much trouble. Would definitely stay again if in the area. No hesitation in recommending to others.
Review 58:It is on a main road, so there is a little bit of traffic noise at peak times, but that shouldn't concern anyone except particularly light sleepers.
Review 59:Greg was very friendly and welcoming, with fantastic attention to detail. He didn't hesitate to go out of his way for his guests. The room was lovely. Breakfast was a feast. It is literally just a few minutes walk right into the centre of Glastonbury. It was a pleasure staying there, and I highly recommend it.
Review 60:The steps up to the house could do with having a handrail for the less mobile.
Review 61:Greg the owner is a great host and provides a delicious breakfast and lots of information about the local area. Our room (at the front of the house) was very pleasant and the beds comfortable.
Review 62:Greg our host was friendly and welcoming. The whole place was spotless and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was cooked to order at a time of your chosing by Greg himself. The B&B is well situated only a few minuites walk from the town centre and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
