Reviews for Torcroft Lodges

Review 1:This is great value and perfect for families. I would highly recommend this property. Its clean, comfortable and the owners were helpful and friendly.

Review 2:Cannot complain. We were very happy.

Review 3:Nice and quiet, perfect for the kids to run about. Nice big rooms, and everything we needed for our break. The staff in charge were very nice. It was good that they had a selection of books, films and games on site. That was a nice surprise. Thanks again.

Review 4:The WiFi connection is shared and it was difficult to access the net on the evening because everyone was doing the same.

Review 5:The lodge was perfectly clean as we arrived. It's fully accommodated, spacious and full of nice details like cds and music player in the room, movies for children, books, some guides of the area, etc. The location is very good, a lot of nature to see, and 5mn from the loch Ness also.

Review 6:quilt on double bed slightly too heavy

Review 7:Excellent location and accommodation. Warm welcome by email prior to stay and suggestions on nearby facilities. Warm welcome upon arrival. Nothing too much trouble. I would go again without hesitation and will definitely recommend to others.

Review 8:TV reception was a bit hit and miss and wifi didn't work for a couple of hours on our second day.

Review 9:Very comfortable beds, easy to find and warm welcome from Simon. Nice cosy lodges, warmed up quickly.

Review 10:There is absolutly anything that I could complain of or say that I didn't like, the place was just stunning.

Review 11:The lodge was incredible, located in an ideal place for those who enjoy hiking and exploring. Spotless, tidy and very well organised, with everything you need and more. The cheapest accomodation in the Highlands and by far the most complete one! If you want a truly Scotish experince in Loch Ness and surroundings, this is definitly the place to go.

Review 12:Only thing that I could say was decor slightly outdated and tv would cut off at times.

Review 13:Location was great for going to other places. We were there for 4 days and we took a lot scenery in like boat ride, Urquart Castle, visit to Inverness and also a visit Skye.

Review 14:You pay electricity by the meter, with pounds, which is strange, though it gives you more insight in your energy use, which in its way is good. Unfortunately all heating is on electricity...

Review 15:Nice 'green' lodge with extra attention to ecological values. Central for the Northern Highlands. Nice and quiet location.

Review 16:Only slight disappointment was poor tv reception at times, but that was not the fault of the Lodges.

Review 17:Loved the quiet location, comfort & cleanliness.

Review 18:We stayed 5 nights in one of these very comfortable lodges, set in the woods, in a very quiet area only 5 minutes by car from the Loch Ness. They’re fully equipped, spacious, with a splendid view from the main room. Eco-conscious tips are printed everywhere in the lodge. You can do your laundry in a little shack behind the lodges. Lucy and Simon are very discreet but easily available and will answer all your questions. We highly recommend it !

Review 19:Lovely place to stay with quiet and tranquil surroundings. Accommodation was excellent with a nice touch of tea/coffee and biscuits complimentary :-) We would definitely recommend Torcroft to anyone and will be returning soon! Tomlinson family

Review 51:Very nice cottages, wonderful hosts, in a quiet area just out of Loch Ness. Nice to base explore Inverness. Allow plenty of time for driving through the narrow roads in the region!

Review 52:The only downside was the wi-fi was a little variable but it was not a big problem for us.

Review 53:The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this destination to anyone who wanted a stay in a relaxing place.

Review 54:The electricity ran on a coin meter and it did use quite a lot. We put in about £8 after being given five pounds credit to start with. I would imagine the coat would be considerably more in winter.

Review 55:The location was quiet and peaceful but very close to urqhuart forest ( at the bottom of the hill). Lodge was spotless and very well equipped. It was huge as well! Lots of tourist information available in the lodge too. Simon the owner was very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The four night stay we had was very enjoyable and I would recommend the lodges to others.

Review 56:Booking was wrong upgraded to 4* Lodge perfect as there was 6 of us, Kids loved it said on Facebook they wished they could live there forever.Skiing was great, did not see any Dolphins of Nessy, but great wildlife including a Seal.

Review 57:The only thing that we did not like was the distance that the Lodge was from any facilities. This was a bit of a disadvantage for us as a family as we have two youngish boys. Although I would not let this put me off staying there again though.

Review 58:The location was beautiful. The Lodge was well equipped with all you could possibly need (and more). The standard of cleanliness was excellent, the place felt like a real home from home. Would not hesitate to stay there again and would certainly recommend it to other travellers.
