Reviews for Myconian Imperial Resort & Villas

Review 1:Free transfers from the port to the hotel and to the town. staff was friendly, and the decor and design of the hotel was vey unique and beautiful. It was also near the beach. Good for honeymooners :)

Review 2:the place is just brilliant for those looking for a luxurious and pampered holiday…. the view from this hotel no matter where u stand is just mesmerizing….. though the location is bit far off from the main town but their free shuttle service is very convenient for travel…

Review 3:The hotel is on the cliff and thus around 30 min away from the town and the road is narrow so either you need to rent a car or ATV (not ideal at night). Taxi's are very difficult to find thus after waiting for 1 hour to order a taxi we decided to take a private taxi and it cost 60Euro's to get to the town. The last bus that leaves the town is at midnight so if you are party people and want to stay longer either rent a small car or better take a hotel closer to town

Review 4:The Hotels is amazing, we had a room with Jacuzzi on the balcony and the view is stunning. Perfect for relaxation. The hotel provides shuttle bus to the Town at 9 am and then everyhour after 2am until 11:30 pm

Review 5:Some of the personnel are not kind...It takes 20 mins to go town center.

Review 6:Perfect view and beach is a little stony... All other facilities were perfect. Breakfast session was a must do.

Review 7:A number of waiting staff were more interested in their facebook pages on their smartphones, multiple times different people too! Wifi sucked way too often. Rooms need modernization for the price

Review 8:Great staff on reception and some of the others too. Great location.

Review 9:ROOMS NEED TO BE REFURBISHED AND LITTLE OLD FURNITURE FOR A FIVE STAR HOTEL. WAITER SERVICE AND BREAKFAST WAS FAIR

Review 10:VERY NICE LOCATION. SWIM POOL, SUN BED AND VIEW EXCELLENT. RECEPTION STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL.

Review 11:Absolutely amazing, the resort was magical, especial in the evenings, the pool area transforms into a magical oasis. Must stay if you’re in Mykonos

Review 12:Rooms and furnitures are old and old fashioned Beds are uncomfortable

Review 13:Very helpful and positive staff Located in one of the best areas of Mykonos Hotel has it's own private beach

Review 14:I would like that the buses coming from town extend their time just a little bit more past 12:30 am because taxis are very pricey in mykonos amd especially that the hotel is so far from town

Review 15:The resort is beautifully renovated with the most gorgeous rooms, pool area and breakfast. Also the free shuttle servdice to the airport, ferry and town is excellent cosnidering that the hotel is far.

Review 16:The rooms are pretty bad, very outdated and our bed was quite uncomfortable, shower water pressure very low. The worst thing was at the end of our stay they were pretending that our visas weren't working and we had to pay by cash. This was after 4 different visa cards were attempted and each time there was a communication error. After we called our bank in Canada and were ensured there was nothing wrong with the cards, we asked to speak to a manager. At this point, the receptionists asked us to try the visas one more time, and lo and behold, it worked!

Review 17:Beautiful lobby and pool area, close to a good beach and restaurant, good location

Review 18:Breakfast was limited, the public spaces looked much better than the shabby rooms, but in the public spaces you could never get a peaceful moment to listen to the Aegean as there was the constant thump of a bad DJ at the pool, in the lobby.... Why leave the city to head to the sea for constant electronic house music?

Review 19:Staff was sweet.

Review 20:The beds were rocks, the bathrooms are dated and need to be remodeled, and the gym is 1980's 2 star at best. For a 5 star resort, give me a comfortable bed, an up to date bath and a modern gym to work off the heavy greek food

Review 21:Great location, great staff and interior design of the main lobby areas and pool. The rooms were large and well designed.;

Review 22:I didn't like some of the receptionist staff not all ...the women where very helpful and the the men was looking too sad to serve ...I swear he didn't smile ..it made frustrated to talk to him ...and unfortunately he served for a lot of times during our stay

Review 23:I loved the place and facilities ... Hotel really clean .... Dinner and food was excellent

Review 24:The food and bavarage at the pool are little expansive.

Review 25:The hotel is modern, clean, comfort. This is an excellent hotel! We will defiantly .come back soon The stuff is very friendly! The food is exellent! The hotel provides free transfer to airport and to the ferry port as well as free transportation to the city center. The hotel facilities are modern, clean and new. We recommend this hotel!

Review 26:Nothing really to dislike here at all to honest. Perfect paradise. The only comment we do have is it is a bit of a free-for-all to get on the free shuttle bus to/from the town in the evening.

Review 27:We really liked everything about the hotel. It is true that the rooms haven't been updated for a while, but they are still absolutely lovely.

Review 28:Wifi -hotspot is not stable and not user fridenly

Review 29:The staff is terrific, hard working yet always friendly . Thanos, Evi, Andreas, Julian, Georgia, Alex, etc... from the Spa, Reception restaurant, ( got to try all the 5 restaurants) to the chamber maid. The resort is large , well decorated . It does not feel crowded

Review 30:The Breakfast room was a nice location, but there is an opportunity to make it better with a higher quality of choice. For example, personalised freshly made omlettes, a smoothie bar, more choice of fresh fcut ruit and yogurts

Review 31:Beautiful location, really lovely refurbishment and fantastic staff who were always willing to help

Review 32:The only thing was our jacuzzi was too hot and it didn't get colder even someone came to check. And air conditioning was not heat (we had sunburn and we were cold)

Review 33:It was a birthday gift to my boyfriend and i can throw out that it was the best birthday ever! We hosted like a celebrity. Everything was impeccable. Pool, poolbar, sea and our room and roomview was the best. I absolutely would stay again.

Review 34:Every single staff member from being collected at the airport, to checking in, waiters, maids and bar tenders, I have never experienced such friendliness and professionalism. A simply sensational holiday experience which made our dream honeymoon come true

Review 35:Don't advertise MP3 player in room details - there isn't an mp3/dvd/cd, just a TV with CNN only English speaking channel. Reception staff said those facilities were only in villas, not hotel - but my booking confirmation for hotel clearly stated those as facilities in room. Bit of a captive audience too and water at 4 euros a bottle a bit steep. Restaurant excellent but no atmosphere and again very expensive.

Review 36:Masses of choice for breakfast, spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. Charming and intelligent multilingual staff.

Review 37:Our room seemed a bit dated, especially the bathroom. It didn't match the 5 star quality of the hotel. It had lots of old furniture in it, tiles that always seem wet because of the humidity (you know what I mean) and a bathroom that had been obviously repaired a couple of times. Also our room was so far from the wifi hub we couldn't ever connect. Another minor thing was that the coffee with room service was so terrible it was undrinkable.

Review 38:The pool, reception, restaurant, spa and staff were amazing. the views were also spectacular.

Review 39:The wifi service in the room is priti poor, and the internet disconnect every few seconds

Review 40:The hotel has shuttle service to/from airport, also has every hour shuttle service bus from/to the town. The waiters service is excellent, the rooms are really clean. (10/10) The receptionists are polite and respond really fast to visitors request. The girls in the spa are really gentle and polite, the thalassotherapy is recommended.

Review 41:The fitness center desperately needs to be updated.

Review 42:The resort was absolutely remarkable. Some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. The staff was very friendly. The food was excellent.

Review 43:Very beautiful hotel. Reception area is really "WOW "!!! Amazing breakfast!!!! Excellent and helpful staff. Transfer to the hotel. Free bus to the main town. Beautiful beach. Had an amazing experience!!!! Would recommend to everyone!!!

Review 44:This hotel was spectacular. We truly felt like royalty from the moment we arrived. The staff treated us so well and the hotel is beautiful. The view is simply amazing and the facilities are beyond fantastic. We were upgraded for our honeymoon to a room with a private jacuzzi. We loved our stay

Review 45:The rooms are 3 to 4 star, dont let pictures mislead you, I repeat this is not a 5 star facility. - the room is 3 star ,the bathroom is horrible dirty and old and I couldn’t use it. It was the reason we had to check out the next day immediately. I was very disappointed to book a 5 star hotel with this level of cleanness . - the room had very very old furniture and it was full of mosquitoes I was etching all night. - I did not use the pool because it was cold , but just looking at it it had sand and looked dirty. - I received an email from the hotel a day before I arrived which was a nice gesture , suggesting places to dine like a sushi bar at the hotel, I was surprised when we arrived they told me the restaurant is closed because it was end of the season. ( well, why did you suggest it from the start) - When I told the receptionist that we are checking out because we did not like the hotel. She barely gave a reaction and did not comment at all. in fact she called us again asking if we want to get a taxi !! it was offending. My experience with this hotel was not pleasant.

Review 46:- the beach area is nice good staff great chairs and good food. No music during october - Breakfast was the only good experience in the hotel - Positive points are: there is a bus to from mykonos town almost every hour which was convenient.

Review 47:The prices for food and drinks were extreme expensive. Wifi connection was not perfect and slow.

Review 48:The hotel was beautiful. Also the staff were very friendly. Very clean room with a huge bed.

Review 49:There should be more beach activities in Elia Beach

Review 50:The beach n pool was great,we liked spa facilities, staff was so kind. Our room has a nice sea view,it was romantic to stay n drink wine in our rooms balcony

Review 51:Our principal complaint is that when we arrived we were not actually given the room we had booked at the Imperial at all! Instead, we were moved to another hotel, the Myconian Avaton, about half a mile further from the beach up the steep hill-side above the bay. We assume this was because we had a late arrival so were first in line to be moved due to over-booking - even though we had e-mailed twice to clarify the time of our arrival and to confirm that we would definitely be coming so should not be moved because of this. What we found particularly extraordinary was that we were not even *told* that our booking had been moved... As both hotels belong to the same group, much of the stationery and so forth is the same so it took us a while to work out we had been transferred. Fortunately we were moved the following day after some protesting. My review rating is therefore based on the average of our stay at the Imperial once we got there (4*), vs. 2* for the experience of staying at Avaton on the first night (this was not so satisfactory as a hotel - preposterous design, unusable chairs, rooms miles from the reception, and some bizarre fetish for massive porcelain penguins - don't ask).I think the Myconian group seriously need to address the issue of guests' bookings being moved without even having the courtesy to tell them! This is clearly not the behaviour one expects and will surely damage their 'brand' if it become widespread.

Review 52:We had an extremely pleasant holiday based at the Myconian Imperial on Elia Beach, and were particularly pleased with the friendliness of the staff.Once actually ensconced in Imperial we were generally very happy. Beautiful views over Elia Bay from the balcony, room clean and comfortable, well equipped also. The beach was, as promised, just a few yards below the hotel itself in an area with wonderful sea (although the umbrellas were more densely packed than we were expecting). Very happy with the swimming pools, sunbathing areas and the lovely terrace. Breakfast buffet was mostly good, with some dishes outstanding (smoked trout, Greek pastries). Coffee was a little hit and miss, most cups were excellent but the espresso occasionally went badly wrong. We didn't try the restaurant which seemed rather 'Modern Cuisine for International Hotels' and didn't seem worth it compared to the excellent food to be had at local restaurants for much less. The sushi restaurant was not at all bad however, and reasonably priced for what we had. The bar meals by the pool included some delicious offerings, including a fantastic grilled octopus. The spa and thalasso were both very acceptable, with the services one would expect. The only drawback was that some of the steps were in need of replacement, both here and in the main outdoor pools. One set of steps actually collapsed while in use, which is a little worrying. The staff were, as I mentioned, very friendly for the most part. Standards of service were somewhat variable however. There was no concierge service and the information we received about fairly standard activities on the island was variable to the point of sometimes being completely wrong. We found that if we asked for the same thing to two or three different desk personnel, then one of them would probably know how to help us.

Review 53:? Are you serous ! What's not to like

Review 54:Whatever your issue they simply resolve it with a smile They were all exceptional Food was the same thank you all

Review 55:A little isolated from outside restaurants, bars, etc.

Review 56:Fantastic hotel, superb service from all hotel employees, beautiful views and great cocktails and food.

Review 57:Quiet and remote area/beach may not be desirable for social extroverts. No nightlife nearby and need to take shuttle to town (free, 20 minutes). Expensive drinks.

Review 58:Beautiful views from pools, restaurants and room. Easy beach access. Outstanding staff (esp Olga!). Nice, clean facilities. Incredible breakfast buffet (included with our room). Free shuttle to/from airport and Mykonos town.

Review 59:super great sea view, excellent service and facilities. very welcoming and the staff is really nice. the room is very nice and has the beautiful sea view. the pool is fantastic and the bar is with fantastic view. everything is just perfect!

Review 60:Wifi is a bit slow. I barely got a signal in my room and had to sit on the terrace to use it.

Review 61:The hotel itself is stunning with wonderful amenities and facilities. Huge pools, private beach, wonderful staff, beautiful clean rooms with a lot of amenities, great food options, beautiful property! They provide a courtesy shuttle to and from town, as well as to the airport. Absolutely made my experience in Mykonos the best of all the 5 Greek Islands I visited. Would not want to stay anywhere else!

Review 62:everything perfect...maybe one more night bus after 01.00 for the late birds....

Review 63:people, reception, pool area and restaurants, beach, breakfast, room, cleaning!!!!....luxurius yet elegant place to relax...

Review 64:The last shuttle back to the hotel was at 11:30pm. For a party island/town this was very hard to catch since most of the night life didn't even get started till 10:30 or so.

Review 65:We wanted a place to just do nothing for our first leg of our honeymoon and this didn't disappoint. It was very relaxed with the pools and the beach within a short walk. Then in the evening heading into the town with the hotel having shuttles every hour was nice.

Review 66:Poor internet connectivity... Could be improved

Review 67:Wonderful location, excellent staff, delicious breakfast, private area at Elia Beach, relaxing thalassotherapy, free valet service, early morning (5am) breakfast on the departure day. I recommend a rental car to visit the entire island (check with the hotel staff for the rental)

Review 68:Beds are too firm for a 5 star, felt like sleeping on cardboard. the area really is quite quiet, but its very easy to hire a car and check out the island. the gym was a bit average for a 5 star and only 1 treadmill which faces the wall.

Review 69:Quite possibly the best hotel staff I've ever experienced. all were so helpful and friendly, it made our stay extra special. Great views from the hotel. It was the second hotel in the myconian hotel chain we stayed in, both were great. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 70:Music by the pool a bit too loud!

Review 71:Amazing views and a very modern clean hotel. Fantastic service, shuttle bus service is great.

Review 72:Nothing

Review 73:Resort facilities, great pool excellent restaurant, great location.

Review 74:Location and the general layout of the property. Also the free shuttle service to the old town

Review 75:Overpriced

Review 76:Very expensive restaurant.

Review 77:Beautiful breakfast. Beautiful spa. Services to town center all day.

Review 78:Wifi wasn't great - but I think it was the fault of the island not the hotel

Review 79:Staff was incredible - all was perfecr

Review 100:All the facilities are quite new and clean!Nice view!Very very nice staff

Review 101:Nothing to mentioned

Review 102:Every thing was excellent except the wi-fi and the way it was scerey at night

Review 104:Everything!

Review 105:Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Review 106:We liked everything. This Hotel is amazing and probably the best one that we were.

Review 107:Service from Staff was impeccable. Room was lovely. Food excellent

Review 108:To many stairs

Review 109:Excellent Staff

Review 110:Everything was excellent apart from handling of luggage at the end. There is need for more people for luggage handling for that size of the hotel.

Review 111:everything

Review 112:Beds were quite firm (but they provided mattress toppers to improve that), and would have been nice to have a bucket of water at bottom of hill near beach to wash feet before heading back up the hill, but otherwise a lovely stay.

Review 113:Great pools, lovely beach, and a very friendly staff. Food at the restaurants was very good, and overall a very relaxing time.

Review 114:The way the staff was polite, professional, attentive. The beauty of the hotel including its amenities. That transportation to/from port and into town was included.

Review 115:Waiting for a second shuttle bus on a cold windy night in town, because the first filled up with people that hadn't waited as long as us.

Review 116:The Staff were so friendly and helpful and happy.

Review 117:great jacuzzi on the balcony with an amazing seaview! The food was excellent, privacy was always provided and the staff was very well trained and nice. The location is perfect and the connection to mykonos chora is excellently organized.

Review 118:Beach this year was dirty and rocky, a lot of sand washed away during winter. A lot of sun beds are broken. This should be fixed, otherwise it is undermine luxury positioning of this hotel. No complimentary water - this is not typical for 5-star hotel.

Review 119:Friendly and helpful staff, clean and adequate room.

Review 120:Absolutely nothing

Review 121:Superb location, fantastic views, excellent service and friendly staff, knowledgeable staff, excellent food, comfortable rooms with a view, staff trained to anticipate guests' needs

Review 122:The rooms seemed old and needed some renovation.

Review 123:We had a room with a hot tub overlooking a great view of the sea. Elia beach is definitely one of the better beaches in Mykonos. Was one of the fewest hotels that had an iron in the room which definitely came in handy.

Review 124:they had three pools but none of them was heated also the jacuzzi was not having warm water the bus service to town was less frequent

Review 125:the breakfast was very good

Review 126:A friently staff with all the guidance n assistace we require. It was a fantastic stay at the Myconian Imperial.

Review 127:Absolutely Everything!! Location was perfect for snorkeling... Good proximity to other beaches and the City of Mykonos.

Review 128:Breakfast was of poor quality
