Reviews for Hôtel La Jetée

Review 1:While the staff in the evening was polite and correct, the morning staff was quite rude and rough. Whi le having breakfast it looked like we were bothering rather than staying there as costumers and there was nobody else even on the room...

Review 2:Beautiful location and nice rooms

Review 3:It's on a busy street, but double windows seem to do the trick for keeping out the noise. Lovely to have a view of the harbor.

Review 4:Perfect location. Breakfast was really good. La Parloir restaurant nearby serves wonderful meals with local products.

Review 5:Showers tend to spray water ove the bathroom floor soaking the bath mat but that is only a minor inconvenience. We did mention it to the staff so it may be resolved now.

Review 6:Superb location beside the harbour. Clean, comfortable rooms. Unstuffy and friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast with no one trying to hurry you out at the generous 11am finiish time.

Review 7:Very like Motel accomadation.perfect for one night..no bar facility...or relaxation area.

Review 8:Excellent location..staff very pleasant.just stayed one night before moving on to villa.

Review 9:Our room was 1st floor over the hotel entrance & the uplights were very bright in our room the curtains didn't do a great job of keeping it out as there were gaps at the side.

Review 10:The location is excellent . Great breakfast good selection & good coffee

Review 11:Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Easy to arrange on - site bike hire.

Review 12:Great location beside a pretty quayside. Bikes were available to hire from the hotel. Staff were helpful and breakfasts very efficient as well as tasty.

Review 13:We requested a coat to be in the room, which was there which was great. But we weren't expecting to be charged €8 per night for the use. If we had been told that we would have brought our own.

Review 14:Toys in bar for children

Review 15:Great location, our room overlooked the lovely harbour of St. Martins - nice helpful staff, hotel very clean, good breakfast. The hotel arranged our bike hire for the week - very efficient. Would definitely stay there again.

Review 16:Our room was a bit on the small side but there are plenty of bigger rooms in the hotel

Review 17:Lovely breakfast. Excellent centre location. Staff were very helpful but car parking can be an issue. We dropped off our bags and then parked in the free car park just outside the village which worked out quite well.

Review 18:All good except fault with wifi that day. unfortunate but didn't take away from hotel quality.

Review 19:Lovely position, great quirky decor, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Review 20:No Air Con, the WiFi did not work in the room, charged 20 extra for a 3rd person in a suite, cheesy decals on wall in room (so bizarre for a hotel)

Review 21:We got our room well before check-in.

Review 22:Being very central there is a bit of road noise at the front of the building. Not high numbers of vehicles but street is cobbled which leads to a higher " rumble" At the back there is a bar open until.2a.m.

Review 23:Staff helpfulness, location right on the port

Review 24:The room a bit small but otherwise comfortable. For a stay of more than a couple of days it might be a bit small

Review 25:Great location - parking - good shower, clean comfy bed. All you need from a hotel for a couple of days

Review 26:very poor shower arrangement. No overhead shower rose. Hand shower on a very poor wall bracket and no shampoo tray

Review 27:Location at the centre of the harbour

Review 28:Car park is underground and the entrance is a bit tight if you have a wide car.

Review 29:Location is great and we were able to leave our car in their secure car park during our stay. Friendly staff and clean rooms

Review 30:St Martin is one of the most picturesque villages you will find. Hotel La Jetee compliments it well and have no hesitation in booking there each time we visit.

Review 31:Parking is a bit tricky. Local car park doesn't accept foreign cards to pay you need cash. Faulty ticket had our car locked in the car park

Review 32:Location, friendly reception, clean comfortable rooms

Review 33:The hotel followed the French trend of separating the toilet from the en-suite bathroom. This would be fine IF there was a wash-hand basin in the toilet - there wasn't! This is very poor hygiene! No air-con. in rooms though a small electric fan was provided.

Review 34:Good hotel in an excellent position

Review 35:1. I always find this a very good hotel when visiting Isle de Re. Given its excellent location by the quayside in Sainte Martin which is the most fashionable and pretty area on the island the hotel is very reasonably priced. 2 Very pleasant breakfast. 3. Friendly staff

Review 36:The personable and friendly staff, the individual assistance they cheerfully provided, the suite I stayed in, the comfortable atmosphere, breakfast!, the overall great vibe. I would definitely stay there if I returned to St-Martin-de-Rey, and I will recommend to friends.

Review 37:The location however was very noisy and as there was no air conditioning you either had to close the windows and swelter or put up with noise.

Review 38:The location was excellent for the town of St. Martin.

Review 39:No air conditioning, Have to sleep with window open, Very noisey being at front of hotel, people noise finished about 3am, then dustmen and deliverys started about 4am, Second night had to keep window closed, But absolutely fryed so hot so didn't sleep again, Maybe better to not have view and maybe less noise on back of hotel

Review 40:great bathroom, Excelent staff , All be it extra cost very good selection for breakfast, Clean modern room, with a great view of the harbour,

Review 41:Noise from the street at night means you will not get a good night's sleep if you have to open the windows (and there is no a/c)

Review 42:Great location, good room with wifi, nice breakfast (if a little expensive)

Review 43:We reserved a space in the hotel car park but it was very small for our car. Instead we parked almost right outside in a Pay & Display space and the duty manager very kindly paid for it using her credit card as ours would not work. Excellent customer service! The hotel location was right by the harbour.

Review 44:- room was very small - room overlooked main street and was noisy - no air conditioning

Review 45:- the position next to the harbour - friendly helpful staff - breakfast - open courtyard

Review 46:The only issues were that as the hotel is central and we were staying in a room at the front of the hotel there was a bit of late night noise on Saturday and Sunday night with people coming back from late bars, hanging out or driving along the beautiful but noisy cobbled streets. Not the hotels fault. As the weather was warm we had to leave the windows open as there's no air con so it was quite noisy at times. Fine for the rest of the week.

Review 47:Great central location. Great breakfast. Very friendly, helpful staff who all spoke good English to compensate for my terrible French. Great cleaners who did a quick and excellent job of sorting out the rooms each morning.

Review 92:Location Breakfast Staff

Review 93:Would like tea making facility in room.

Review 94:Convenient location. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Review 95:Lovely hotel and excellent location downtown in the very charming port of St Martin de Ré. The hotel was clean, pleasant and decorated in harmony with the area. We stayed several days and all the staff were cheerful, gracious and helpful.

Review 96:You pay for the location-quite expensive for Premier Inn like level of room.

Review 97:Great location. One minute from harbour, bars, restaurants and shops. 5 mins from the ramparts, beach, etc.

Review 98:Blue room cramped - particularly the toilet where one's knees were pressed against the wall radiator. Toilet could have been re-angled perhaps. Lack of free parking near to hotel and thus less convenient for the car.

Review 99:Location, convenience and breakfast

Review 100:1. The lowest priced rooms around 100 Euros including breakfast in high season are very good and value for money given St Martin, Isle de Re is such a well known and beautiful destination.2. Very nice breakfast with pleasant inner courtyard and scrambled egg available. 3. Excellent location, right by the pretty quayside,50 yards from the bus stop for buses to/from La Rochelle (much cheaper than taxi) and 50 yards from the bicycle hire shop.

Review 101:Rooms were a bit hot and stuffy, some air-conditioning would be fantastic - however fans were provided which made it ok.

Review 102:Excellent location, friendly and knowledgable staff

Review 103:Unfortunately our visit coincided with some more noisy visitors who, due to the noise created in the open atrium, woke us several times in the early hours of the morning! However this will not stop us from staying again.

Review 104:Very convenient for St Martin de Re, great staff and spotlessly clean. Whilst our car was apparently too big for the carpark we were able to safely store our bikes in the garage.

Review 105:we would have liked to have facilities in our room for an early morning cup of tea or coffee....just a thought not a criticism.Otherwise nothing to criticise.

Review 106:Comfortable bed.....good breakfast..bacon and eggs not often found in most hotels!our room was cleaned and tidied while we were having breakfast.staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 107:The hotel is perfectly located on the port and is excellent value for money. It's very clean and the staff are multi lingual. Highly recommended.

Review 108:Mattress could have been more comfortable

Review 109:Price and atmosphere

Review 110:The WiFi stopped working and we had no WiFi for 2 days

Review 111:The location was more than excellent given the price we paid

Review 112:The bed could have been more comfortable!! plus in France Hotels should have coffee making facilities.

Review 113:well looked after
