Reviews for La Combe Joseph

Review 1:What wonderful hosts, Pascal and Marie-Lou were very friendly and helpful, advising us of where to eat and how to get half price tickets to the Pont du Gard. Decor very French but with double doors leading out to the swimming pool

Review 2:Check-in very late. Rather noisy due to being located inside the house of the owners and the walls/doors being pretty thin.

Review 3:Good location to walk to the Pont du Gard.

Review 4:Room on the back of the property, small adequate, but if it is charged at the same price as rooms overlooking the swimming pool then it appears to be expensive, as the view from the window is a wall.

Review 5:Helpful owner. Comfortable facilities. Ability to walk to local restaurant which was recommended by owner. Free drink at restaurant.

Review 6:Pascal was a friendly and fun host. The pool was a lifesaver on a very hot day.

Review 7:the walls were not soundproof

Review 8:very close to Pont du Gard, friendly host

Review 9:bed pillow not comfortable.

Review 10:very nice and quiet place, easy to access, very near from Pont du Gar.

Review 11:Bath rroom. Breafast.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:All

Review 14:Pascals humour!

Review 15:Decor dated and room not ventilated. Breakfast was basic.

Review 16:Location great for Pont du Gard concert

Review 17:The bathroom facilities though clean are tired and could do with an update. The bathroom was private but not 'ensuite' and the shower was a hand set in the bath!

Review 18:The room opened out onto a terrace by the pool which was very relaxing after an eight hour journey. The hotel was very convenient for the motorway network but close to the Pont du Gard which enabled an interesting visit during our overnight stop. The owner was pleasant and helpful offering plenty of advise for eating out etc.

Review 19:Lovely location and very friendly owner. Extremely accomodating and recommeded a lovely restaurant down the road with a free welcome drink as we had come on his recommendation.

Review 20:Minor comments: 1) There was no soap/shampoo in the room. This caused no problem for us because we had it all with us. So check their availability once you have arrived. 2) Late at night (after 00.00 though the owner was not asleep yet) I could not log in to the wi-fi. In the morning everything was ok. So check wi-fi connection once you have arrived in order to avoid surprises later.

Review 21:1) The owner is an easy-going person, friendly and willing to help. Joking all the time. The family has a dog and a parrot. 2) Parking, swimming pool, common breakfast table, breakfast and the room itself was more than just ok. Comfortable, modern and in good state, home-like. 3) Location is great: very close to the road leading to Pont du Gard but still quiet and cosy. The bridge is just a 10-15 minute walk from here. And not far from the main motorway to Nimes. 4) They have no restaurant of their own but there are a couple of restaurants nearby. I would recommend Le Colombier (the one we visited) which is on the way to the bridge. It belongs to Logis hotel&restaurant chain. Anyway one had better ask the owner.

Review 22:We were left at the locked gate and had to ring on mobiles to get them to open the gate. The room had no air conditioning and the heat was unbearable. The breakfast was poor.

Review 23:Wonderful place to chill out with a marvelous swimming pool after a long day out. We had a wonderful dinner with the owner one evening and it was fantastic. Lovely homemade food include entree, main dish and dessert ( also a bootle of Rose)

Review 24:Language difficulties, although that should be not be unexpected whentraveling in foreign countries.

Review 25:Owner was cooperative and eventually met all our requests despitelanguage difficulties. Provided good French breakfast and gave us a goodrestaurant recommendation nearby.

Review 26:Nice little room, and parking

Review 27:The smell in the room, the hotel needs a face-lift

Review 28:Very calm, friendly staff, home-like atmosphere, perfectly located to visit the Roman bridge
