Review 12:The proprietor could not have been more helpful and pleasant.Indeed we spent another night at the end of our stay in France. If I return to France I would try to make for Le Canter
Review 13:Staff went far beyond expected beginning with making me coffee at 6:30 AM to calling my husband in USA to let him know that I had left something in my room. Really appreciate the trouble they went to, even though they woke him at 3:30 AM due to 6 hour time difference. He did not mind, was appreciative of service.
Review 14:No air-con so stuffy but it was a swelteringly hot night even withwindows open. No restaurant facilities so a mile walk to Saumur itselfwhich is fine, but restaurants there expensive so a steak and chipschain nearby had to do!
Review 15:Lovely and clean. Newly redecorated so very nice decor. Great bathroomand comfy beds. Very friendly and hospitable manager and very close to aLoir tributary for a nice dog-walk along the bank, just a few hundredmetres away. Also dog-friendly of course!

Review 18:No staff there and no restaurant. Bar wasn't open but there are plenty in the town nearby.
Review 19:Private parking, very clean, large room and bathroom. Bathroom looks new and is very nicely finished. Location near to centre so visited chateau near the Loire with live show.
Review 20:Lovely hotel, v friendly and helpful owner. His English filled in the gaps in my French. We had the triple room with an extra bed and there was still plenty of room for us all. Bathroom v clean. Easy to walk into the centre of town for our evening meal. Breakfast was plentiful and good value for €7.50
Review 21:Attic room. Only window built into roof. Storm forecast meant window closed in stifling temp. Bring mosquito repellant!
Review 22:Budget friendly. Good breakfast. Friendly owner. Excellent shower space.
Review 23:Building work outside at 7am, you need to check whether that has been completed if you want a lie in. Hotel situated approx 3 kms away from Saumur Centre, although a very pleasant walk along river path.
Review 24:Room was very clean and nice en suite shower room included in very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 25:the couple upstairs having a terrible row with screaming and crying and by the stomping up and down the stairs we think she left him. then he was shouting on the phone. 3 hours of disturbance.

Review 56:The weather! Although we have had sunshine there too!!
Review 57:We were received most pleasantly, and were always able to ask forhelp/advice, but were left alone when we wanted it. It is run by amost pleasant and accommodating couple. There are good walks/cyclerides along the river (Thouet), and one can easily walk to Leclerc, theSaumur city centre, markets and Chateau. There is good parking, whichcan be very important too. We'll be back!
Review 58:not all of us could connect to WiFi
Review 59:Great location, next to a farmers market and boulangerie, across the street from a protected walkway that went along the river. Very clean, bright, white room, good shower/bathroom.
Review 60:Decor on stairwell is a work in progress, but looks like it has stalled.. But not enough of a problem to not go back
Review 61:Super location. Although we were running late we got a pleasant phone call giving us the information about location of the room key.. At checkout everyone was pleasant and efficient. Will be back,as did not realise how good the location was.
Review 62:We had no complaints.
Review 63:The hotel is being renovated and our room was brand new. It was large and very comfortable with a king-size bed. The hotel is in a quiet area near the river and just a few minutes drive from a large shopping centre with a nice restaurant. There is a large enclosed yard for parking.
Review 64:No air conditioning

Review 75:Very friendly staff and manager, continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and croissants, free internet, car park, rooms and hotel are not luxurious but very good and comfy for the price.
Review 76:Was as expected
Review 77:This was a stop off hotel on our way to Vendee. Decor is dated but room was clean, which was all we wanted. Location not bad either, 15 minute walk to the centre of town.
Review 78:We where on the third floor and the only fire exit was down a wooden staircase, if there is another fire exit I did not find it.

Review 81:Hotel on outskirts of Samaur therefore had to drive into town. Hotel room was in attic, no window, no airconditioning and the blind was broken, therefore very very hot. No lift, therefore had to carry cases up two flights of narrow stairs! Otherwise clean and friendly. Would only stay again if given room on first floor with window.
Review 82:Very friendly staff, comfortable and recently decorated rooms with goodshower pressure and convenient car park in the middle of a quiet villagenear Saumur. Note reception closes around 830pm so might be worthcontacting the hotel in advance if you plan to arrive later.
