Review 1：We were made very welcome. The food and drink was excellent and good value. It is an easy, short walk to the canal and into the town, so the location is very pleasant and convenient.
Review 2：The owner was very friendly but others less so. We weren't allowed to put our car in the car park until 19.00hrs despite arriving at lunchtime.
Review 3：Hotel/restaurant decor very nice. Secure car park (when they let you in!). We arrived during lunch and were able to check in. The hotel closes after lunch and doesn't open again until 17.30hrs.
Review 4：Starter was ham and very chewy in fact part of it was impossible to swallow. Main was spag Bol and was completely tasteless. I asked for a dessert and I got shot daggers like I'd asked for the earth, it was only 9:30pm I said not to bother. I had to take a coffee to the room as there were no facilities in it. Shower was tiny.
Review 5：The lady on reception was very helpful with good English. Translated the menu into English for me. Explained everything clearly.
Review 6：Bathroom poor design,didn't matter to us as we are small. Bar didn't have lemonade, 7up or similar to use as a mixer.

Review 13：Not too far to walk into town. Staff quite helpfull. Restaurant seemed very busy although we did not eat evening meal there it was popular. This is a good budget hotel for a day or two.
Review 14：Miserable reception on arrival, No drinks, No food, No room refreshments,coffee tea water etc, which we would gladly have paid for ! Staff were indifferent to our requests for these things, not at all friendly, and not interested in respect for paying guests !! couldn't sit in the TV lounge the one evening we stayed, STAFF sat in there talking, unbelievable and rude ! Shower very small, broken shower head holder, had to hold it to shower, toilet seat old, paint coming off, no light working over bed, Bad management !!! Noise from people up & down the stairs, and wall's like paper.Certainly better hotels in the area, we found out, only too late.

Review 16：Bed well past its sell by date; decor of room not good. Bathroom facilities in a cupboard - no room what so ever to move. Worst of all arrived at 16.50 to find Hotel closed. This is a mickey mouse operation and certainly well below Logis standards. Very disappointing.

Review 42：The unfriendly greeting by the owner, the size of the room. The size of the shower. If you were a size 16 you would struggle to gain entry into the shower because of the width of the door opening. It measured the length of an A4 sheet of paper plus 1 inch. My wife and I stayed in eleven BB and Hotels in as many days whilst travelling from England/Italy/England. This was the worst and least value for money.

Review 49：On both evenings the restaurant was closed. No explanation was given, only on the first night another nearby restaurant was recommended. At breakfast no mention was made by the patron of the closure. On the second morning the patron arrived so late that we (and others) left without breakfast. Communication with the customer is essential and costs nothing.
