Review 1：Great location and views. Very quiet even though we were close to the airport you couldn't hear the planes when indoors which I was concerned about after reading a previous review but I had nothing to worry about it was very peaceful. The host was such a lovely lady and very helpful. I will be back next year for sure.
Review 2：The beds were very uncomfortable you could feel the springs. I had to lie on my duvet to be able to sleep. Television tiny.

Review 11：They had experienced power cuts earlier in the day and so it became increasingly obvious through the evening that there were problems with the facilities, no WiFi, no hot water. This can happen to anyone and it's not the B&B 's fault but I think I should have been offered a reduced rate for the night.

Review 13：Fantastic hospitality and a great customer service. I have never expected to be greeted outside as soon as I reached the driveway. My room was spacious, very clean and quiet with a private large bathroom. Breakfast was amazing and the coffee (I am very fussy about coffee) was just fantastic) I will definitely stay again and I recommend staying at this hotel to everyone, whether it is for business or leisure purpose.

The owner was very friendly and helpful,even made us reservations for dinner at the pub down the street and called and reserved our early morning taxi & told us approx how much that'll cost to get to the airport ,which was very helpful since being from the US,our phones didn't work in the UK. The bed was super comfortable! & the location was very quiet,other than occasional plane ahead which is expected and close to the airport! Would most definitely recommend to others!

Room very quiet, aircraft noise to a certain time at night but if you want to be near an airport then that is to be expected, didn't disturb me any. As I was leaving early morning breakfast left in my room, choice of cereals, bread, jams, lots of tea and coffee, toaster provided, all good.
Review 68：I cannot praise Paola and the Barn Annexe highly enough which is why I only stay there now that I can no longer drive down to Stansted airport on the ame day as the 'plane departs. Everything is always perfect, and Paola puts herself out to help guests - as well as remembering their preferences for breakfast! She is a true gem.

I arrived by car this time and got lost but Paola patiently directed me by phone, even past last signing in time, and I made it. To a friendly welcome and a warm and comfortable room. The £2.50 full english breakfast upgrade has to be the best deal in town and the quality is first class. Even taking the cheap price out of the equation, this is the place to stay in the local area.

Review 83：It was a convenient halfway point between my home in Lincolnshire andDover. The landlady assumed that, because it was located near Stansted,I was going there and sent an e-mail recommending taxi services andparking. Although this was not the case I appreciated the thought.
Review 84：It was very difficult to find- it is not near Stansted but near to Bishop Stortford. The breakfast was very ordinary - it seemed to lack the care and attention we had received elsewhere. Also check in was very late -4pm. Tried to phone pm. but no answer.

Ourimmediate impression was how spotless the room was, it wasimmaculate.Fridge/microwave/cooker/sink all in the room, if you feelinclined to self cater, although we grabbed a Thai takeaway form arestaurant a ten min drive away and just relaxed. Comfy bed, nicetoiletries, we cant fault it. Paola the owner made us feel at homeimmediately, and does a superb poached egg in the morning, delivered toyour room together with cerial/juice/tea etc. So much so we are goingback again this week, its a great place to relax and explore Hatfieldforest etc.

Self service buffet breakfast (we could choose what we wanted) in room really useful as we had a very early rise to catch flight. Nice shared outside sitting area. Evening meal recommendation at local pub - good food, reasonable price and they phoned ahead for us so we didn't miss last orders. Reasonable price. Altogether a really excellent find for our quick overnight stay.

Review 99：The location is a little difficult to access on foot, although fine ifyou are on a walking trip as we were.The double bed was actually two separate sections put together. But this was better done than elsewhere I've seen and so not too much of a problem. The annexe is on the Stansted flight path, but I didn't notice any aircraft until 07.45 after I had already woken up.

The shower room was well equipped. The room was clean and well laid out. The owner was helpful. Continental breakfast was included in the price with the option to upgrade to cooked for £2.50, which seemed pretty fair.

Review 104：We stayed here for one night before getting an early flight to Italy the next day, It was lovely. We caught a train straight from work in London to Bishops Stortford all harrassed after a manic day. When we arrived were met by Paola who could not have been more welcoming and discreet as after showing us our room (which was really nice) and enquired what we wanted for breakfast she left us to it. We walked down the road to the local pub and had excellent local sausagaes and cider! I would thoroughly recomend to stay here great start to our trip.

Review 108：The provision of a bath would have enhanced the stay, though the bathroom was large and equipped with a good shower. It was an exceptionally hot night and therefore a bedroom window had to be left open - unfortunately there was noticeable noise from being located near Stanstead airport. When the windows were closed the noise was not problematic.

Any request was handled sensitively and dealt with in an efficient, kindly and cheerful manner. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean and the breakfast comprehensive and well presented. The grounds in which the hotel was located were well kept and gave a pleasant view from the room. My husband and I are both agreed that a return stay at The Barn Annex would be most acceptable.
