Review 7:Unfortunately the wifi was temperamental. We were told when we were took to the room, this was unfortunate since wifi was a key factor for me. Didn't ruin our stay overall but was a bit disappointed.
Review 8:Room was luxurious and very cosy! Love the plush furnishing and light open colours.
Review 9:Happy with all aspects

Review 12:The Bower Inn was a really lovely stay. The room was clean and well kept, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was top of the line. I also would recommend dinner in the attached restaurant.
Review 13:If I had to complain (which I'm not ) it could have done with WiFi in the rooms we stayed in ... The only WiFi was in the bar aria ..
Review 14:The rooms, building, layout and built to a high standard of quality workmanship.... Simply top class ... The food was top class too
Review 15:Fabulous location. We stayed for 2 nights over the Bank Holiday as we were attending a wedding at nearby Maunsel House. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a clean, comfortable, quiet room attended by friendly & helpful staff. The food was excellent & the bar serves a good selection of ales. We stayed in the newly created rooms but the whole design is so seamless that you wouldn't think they were a recent addition. Really appreciated Fantastic shower too. Already planning our next visit. Heartily recommend The Bower Inn.
Review 16:The wifi stopped working which affected my working in the evening. The food in the restaurant could be better with more and healthier vegetarian options.
Review 17:Great staff who were very attentive and pleased to help. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed.
Review 18:very limited for going out without a car espesially in the evenings, The bedroom was very large with some fine french furniture and large bathroom with french rolltop bath. One very minor problem the extra wooden rim around the bottom of the bed. We both kept banging our feet on it so maybe visitors could be made aware of this. Having said all this it is a great place to stay
Review 19:The atmosphere was realy good food was excellent and staff and owners were very helpfull.
Review 20:Great staff who were really helpful. My partner is a vegan and they were really great in adapting their menu to make something delicious for him at dinner and breakfast.lovely relaxing rooms too.
Review 21:wifi connection slow and intermittent in my room
Review 22:Great staff, ecellent food in a very pleasant environment. Clean, individual decor in room and shared areas and much better than the usual corporate chains.
Review 23:Nothing at all.
Review 24:This is a lovely inn that we stayed at for one night on out journey to the south coast. The room that we had was amazing, it included a sofa and a free standing bath. The food, both evening meal and breakfast were of a very standard. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Bridgewater.
Review 25:Nothing to dislike
Review 26:Great place to stay with good sized clean and bright rooms. Excellent friendly staff serving lovely food and beer. Highly recommend the place to friends.
Review 27:We would have preferred a location where there was a little more going on. However, saying that, we were only there for one night and had a very pleasant evening in the busy restaurant. Lovely food!
Review 28:The hotel and the food were excellent, as were the staff.
Review 29:At the resto, bread was burnt. (We laughed it off) and the guy who served didn't put it on our bill anyway.
Review 30:Friendly staff. Lots of parking space. Nice room (the view can be improved by removing the construction debris outside our window)
Review 31:Service in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss, and I dropped off the radar completely for the second part of the meal.
Review 32:Friendly welcome, a very comfortable room (including a luxurious en suite with push-button bath/shower!) and a nice meal in the restaurant.
Review 33:Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere, along with choices of delicious food made my stay very enjoyable. Very pleasant - sitting in the gardens, supping a pint of local beer - heaven in Bridgwater!
Review 34:NOTHING, will go back alot!
Review 35:it was just perfick!!!! The place was very clean, the hosts were soooo kind, they evan gave me a bouquet of cut flowers from the beautiful garden, dinner was really lovey, wine was very reasonable, room was awesum, not too pricey either, breakfast was amazing, home made honey, just THE best.
Review 36:Food was delicious, but breakfast a bit on the small side for my husband.
Review 37:Beautiful room, very clean with a great walk in shower. staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 38:Have had better breakfasts for the price but wasn't bad, just not up to the same standard as the rest of the inn
Review 39:Nice area overlooking fields, nice decor great staff felt very welcome
Review 40:Wonderfully bright and cosy room and comfortable beds. Brilliant right up-to-date shower room. Lovely evening meal and breakfast and delightful staff who couldn't have been more helpful.
Review 41:Need clearer instructions on how to regulate water temperature in Room 4. Otherwise the bath was great,
Review 42:Always a friendly welcome, clean, comfy and delicious food. Highly recommended
Review 43:Very minor gripe the smart TV not connecting to internet, but I didn't try for long to be honest.
Review 44:Very comfortable room, good restaurant and bar, very pleasant owner.
Review 45:The staff were excellent both in the hotel and the restaurant. Very professional, friendly and helpful. Lovely food and lovely room and modern new bathroom. Highly recommended.
Review 46:Previous visits box of tissues in room not provided this time - but always have some some in my car so got those. I get hayfever symptoms so use many tissues.
Review 47:Evening in the restaurant
Review 48:The New Rooms are superb. Really spacious and airy. Reccomend this place to all my business colleagues. The menu is very good and good value, high quality food is important after a tough day.
Review 49:Menu was a little bit pubby for me, but of good quality. I would have preferred a bit more choice.
Review 50:Accommodation was first class, and the new wing that will open in the next couple of weeks will add to that I am sure.
Review 51:Room a little cool at times, but it was very cold weather. Security light outside frequently on and off during night.
Review 52:Friendly, helpful staff. Homely accommodation, with very comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Home made vegetarian sausages (where else would you have this?) and honey from Bower Inn's own hives.
Review 53:I know we were a large party, but the food was served warm, not hot. It would have been be nice to have had the option of baked beans with the breakfast.
Review 54:Friendly staff and nice location.
Review 55:Really fantastic stay and service. I can hardly believe how amazingly well it is done up.... Very accommodating of us and our impromptu extra guest, arranging a larger bedroom for us. Most amazing shower I've experienced!
Review 56:stayed there last summer and enjoyed our stay very much, this time we didn't . food was very mediocre, both dinner and breakfast and facilities in room were somewhat sparse
Review 57:staff all very pleasant and friendly
Review 58:The single bed was small. The shower head needed cleaning. The table and chair in the room were not convenient for working. The open-plan area downstairs was rather cold at the time.
Review 59:The food in the restaurant. The old building.
Review 60:There was nothing we did not like and will definitely return.
Review 61:A perfect overnight stop for us; close to the motorway, welcoming with good food and a very comfortable bed. The room was very well appointed as was the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Review 62:There is thing we found that we didn't like at the Bower Inn
Review 63:A really good and friendly atmosphere we were made very welcome by all the staff from the moment we arrived. It's a really a nice place to stay.
Review 64:The two miles out of town down a dark lane
Review 65:Lovely rooms and friendly staff made to feel very welcome and just totally a lovely place to stay I'll be recommending it to friends and family
Review 66:Impossible to dislike anything
Review 67:Everything. Food was awesome. Staff were brilliant. Room was perfect. In summary best place I have stayed in for a very long time. Will find it hard to be beaten. Evening meal was special as was the breakfast. Very good value for money
Review 68:Nothing
Review 69:Warm greeting on arrival, lovely room 3 with fabulous bath. Delicious dinner and comfortable ambience. Excellent staff who went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and research very carefully where I stay and this hidden gem ticked all my boxes
Review 70:Nothing!!
Review 71:Felt very welcome and valued as a guest. All staff very helpful and friendly. Good size of room and en-suite. High quality of food, both evening meals and breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.
Review 72:Cleaning of bedroom etc could have been better. Bathroom did not seem to have been touched on one day but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
Review 73:Friendly staff, very good food served in the evenings and location. Excellent facilities in the en suite bathroom.
Review 74:The Bower Inn is hard to fault. I consider £73pn quite high for pub accommodation, and the bed was too soft for my liking but none-the-less I consider this some of the best accommodation I have found.
Review 75:The Bower Inn was quite a find! Superbly located for access to the motorway, and yet feeling as though in the countryside. The room was extremely comfortable & I lacked for nothing. There were lots of little features like the provision of DVD player & a mobile magnifying mirror in the bathroom which made all the difference. The pub was busy the night I stayed - I usually avoid pubs on account of noise - but I can honestly say it didn't bother me, despite being above the main restaurant area. The staff were very solicitous for my wellbeing, offering to move me if I found it too noisy. And the meal was superb...quite the best duck I've had in years! The veg were done to perfection too.
Review 76:There's nothing to dislike about this place!
Review 77:We arrived travel-weary after a long and tiring journey, and were greeted with such a friendly welcome, our journey was soon forgotten about. We had called ahead to order dinner, as we were arriving much later than planned, and were worried the kitchen would have closed. Within minutes of our arrival the tastiest burgers were served to us, along with a very refreshing glass of cider! After dinner we were shown to our room, which was lovely! Great size, beautiful décor, fantastic, comfortable bed, and a super rain shower in the well-equipped bathroom. Breakfast was delicious too. Cooked to order by the fabulous Nick – who deserves a special mention for making us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for him throughout our entire stay; thanks Nick! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend The Bower Inn to all. A true gem.
Review 78:Leaving
Review 79:The warmth of our reception which continued until our departure which sadly was the next day. Would certainly stay again and would recommend to anyone heading to Somerset
Review 80:Chicken breast for dinner very tough and slightly burnt. No lightbulb in bedside lamp. Building site next door, unfortunately unavoidable I understand so would come back.
Review 81:Decor of public and bedrooms, bath robes provided breakfast very nice, coffee stewed but very helpful waitress made me a fresh cafetiere. When asked for one pudding and two spoons at dinner it was served very prettily on two plates, much appreciated.
Review 82:Not a problem for us, but if you don't like dogs, these gentle obedient dogs moving amongst guests may not be your cup of tea.
Review 83:Helpful staff relaxed family oriented atmosphere. Food delicious.
Review 84:There was building work going on, although it wasn't at all intrusive. Personally, I found the duvet too hot for a comfortable sleep, but then that seems to be true in most hotels these days. There were no significant negative factors at all.
Review 85:This was a great stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we felt very much at home. The food in the restaurant was excellent - I particularly liked the tempura vegetable starter. The room was great, with a very comfortable bed. I'd definitely stay here again.
Review 86:Soft bed. Mediocre breakfast (no menu, small choice, small "full English").
Review 87:Spacious clean room. Nice bathroom. Good evening meal. Easy to find from motorway. Quiet. Friendly efficient staff. Expansion plans.
Review 88:Couldn't open the room window.
Review 89:Staff and owner made us feel and home and they were all very genuine. Felt like you were drinking inside someone's living room. I would definitely recommend. Me and Laura will be back in the near future..x
