Reviews for Aslaich Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:The owner was so pleasant and genuinely interested in what we wanted or needed while we were there, a lovely lady, will definately go back if we are ever in the area again....

Review 2:The host Sarah was wonderful she made us feel so welcome and the breakfast is just great all home cooked. And a beautiful real fire in the TVs lounge off a night

Review 3:The check in too late

Review 4:It's a cosy place. We were the only guesses, the place was peaceful and the beds really confy. The host friendly. Gran sitio para pasar la noche. 100% recomendable

Review 5:Brilliantly located for the beer festival we were attending nearby. Very friendly owner, we arrived late at night but good instructions left so no issues. Breakfast was great. Shower was good, views nice.As some other reviewers have said, there is not much sound proofing but this is just the way the house is built and it didn't cause any lack of sleep for me. And yes the room was small but again this wasn't an issue at all for me, the room still had everything we needed and for the price we paid you really can't find fault.

Review 6:The breakfast felt a bit like it was based on tesco value ingredients. the tea wasn't good, please get some nicer teabags!

Review 7:Very friendly owner and comfy bed, althouhg room quite small. Cheap for the area

Review 8:Warm welcome the minute we opened the car door - Sarah was lovely and nothing was too much effort for her. Immaculately clean room and en-suite. Breakfast great - full Scottish breakfast even beat my husband on the first morning!

Review 9:We liked everything about our stay. The place was very homy and comfortable, the location was convenient, the breakfast was really tasty (extensive choice!) and the host was very welcoming and helpful.

Review 10:It was a cosy, family run B & B. We felt home without the hassle of the house work. We loved the location and the area. It was a very comfortable stay. Our rooms were very clean and the next day we had a lovely breakfast. Thank you.

Review 11:On arrival no one there, out of 4 staff, shower water cold, room too small, wrong breakfast was served to us, no toast selection, only white bread, no fruit....staff attitude, grumpy...fee for using credit card to pay, no receipt when we paid by cash. This property totally over-rated in my opinion.

Review 12:Nothing...

Review 13:Disappointing that no one available to meet us-note left on door Directions brief which made it difficult to find using booking.com.info

Review 14:quiet location

Review 15:the en-suite room is very small. The bathroom has been added in the former bedroom which make the new bedroom really small , we couldnt keep our suitcases in the bedroom. One of the suitcase was settled in the smal wardrobe. We have been in several en-suite bedroom which were much more confortable for the same price

Review 16:Wellcome, dining room, breafast. Possible to use the dining room to eat cold meal at lunch ou evening time

Review 17:The close proximity for a walk before breakfast in a public access woodland was a delightful bonus. Comprehensive information about local tourist opportunities most helpful. Drumnadrochit is in a good location on the Northern shore of Loch Ness.

Review 18:The owner phoned around the restaurants to book us in for a meal when many places were full when we arrived late. A very nice lounge was available to us with a TV.

Review 19:The sound proofing is not very good. We could hear the people next door in their bathroom and when they were generally talking in their room (they could probably hear us too). The bath towels were quite thin and worn.

Review 20:Great staff.

Review 21:Sarah was a great host, very helpful, breakfast was great, free wifi was a bonus, and use of undercover storage for our cycles was very much appreciated. Also very close to the Benleva pub, a great little boozer for beer, food and company....

Review 22:Very nice staff, well located near the Loch Ness(although no direct view), quiet, choice for breakfast, a lot of DVDs and a TV for relaxing evenings, shop and take-aways nearby...

Review 23:We're from San Diego, so the fact that the heating was only on during certain times was a bummer (it was quite cold and snowy while we were there).

Review 24:Sarah is so friendly, helpful, and a wonderful cook! The b&b is situated in a beautiful area close enough to all the attractions Loch ness and Inverness have to offer, but far enough off the grid to make one feel easy and in nature. Many beautifuls walks nearby and tasty Pubs! This is our second time staying at Aslaich and it, hopefully, won't be our last!

Review 25:Décor on the traditional side but not tired.

Review 26:Accommodation is in a separate house attached to the owner home. Sarah was out when we arrived but left us detailed instructions. Room was small but clean, warm and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy. There was a lounge we could use with TV and dvds if we wanted. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. Would stay here again.

Review 27:Lovely staff, very welcoming and homely. Attentive and well maintained facilities. Great value for money! Would strongly recommend to all travelers to the area.

Review 28:I booked through Booking.com Price £262.50 for 7 Nights. I offered topay on Arrival & was told that the price was £45 a Night which cameto £315.00. I was not happy. Eventually after 20 Mins she agreed toaccept the £262.50. not good! No Mobile Phone Signal!

Review 29:Room was clean, tidy and had a tv with en-suite, Room was very small.Plenty of parking. Breakfast - No Idea as I do not eat Breakfast.

Review 30:Checkout at 10 AM on Sunday it's not very pleasant, especially when the owner pushes you to leave no more than 5 minutes after 10!

Review 31:We enjoyed watching movies by the fire place

Review 32:Very welcoming and considerate hosts, provided comfortable accommodation and a generous breakfast and packed lunch for my walk from Drumnadrochit to Inverness. It was the only stage of my walk where the hosts thought to put my boots in a warm location where they might dry out following the particularly wet weather we had experienced.

Review 33:The room was way too small for 3 adults.the bathroom was 3 feet wide. No place in the bedroom or bathroom to place anything. If the beds were raised, suitcases could be stored underneath. Breakfast was average, the scrambled eggs tasted like powdered but there was a range of options or selection.

Review 34:Sarah was very nice, and everything was very clean.

Review 35:Everything was perfect

Review 36:I spent 1 night with my family in this lovely B&B. Sarah the owner is really nice and even if we arrived late she left all the instructions to find our room. The room was clean and comfy, clean towels available, lots of blankets and hair dryer as well. The location is also amazing, really close to Loch Ness exhibition centre and Urquhart caslte. we really love the garden outside and the breakfast room forniture. A place to come back. Highly reccomanded

Review 37:Sarah and Darren were genuinely helpful and caring, and they went out of their way to make sure that our stay was just like home away from home. The bedroom and ensuite were very clean and well presented, and we were treated to a great full Scottish breakfast the next morning.

Review 38:there wasn't anyone to meet us on arrival at 4pm just a note on the door that was a little confusing. the beds were very small, my 6ft husbands feet were over the end of the bed.

Review 39:once we meet the owner he was very nice and chatty. the breakfast was nice and the girl who served us was friendly

Review 40:A quiet, clean, comfortable place to stay ideally located near to Loch Ness and don't miss Urquhart Castle. Lovely hosts and a great breakfast, several pubs nearby.

Review 41:It's not very cheap (but that's normal for the Loch Ness area I guess) and the rooms are a bit on the small side

Review 42:Very friendly host (recommended and booked a great restaurant for us), absolutely terrific location (next to Loch Ness but still very quiet), nice garden, good breakfast, clean rooms

Review 43:Sarah went out of her way to made us feel welcome and at home. She even assisted with hay fever treatment! We would like to recommend this place as a good stay-over.

Review 44:Nothing.

Review 45:The host was lovely very helpful and rolled out the red carpet for us and a group of friends not even staying at this b&b. The location was excellent, breakfast and room.

Review 46:No negatives from me!

Review 47:This is the 2nd time we have stayed her and it was just as good as the last time. The rooms are cosy, comfortable and extremley clean. The breakfast is just brilliant with lots of options that you choose the evening before. Location is gorgeous and a short walk to the lovely village of Drumnadrochit. We've both felt very welcome when we've stayed here. Can't recommend it enough.

Review 48:The shower was not so good. But still acceptable.

Review 90:Warm welcome and made to feel very comfortable by Sarah. Nothing was too much trouble. Accommodated all our needs to support my husband on end to end cycle. Thank you :-)

Review 91:The room was very small for three people.

Review 92:Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great that we could use the breakfast room to eat a take-away in the evening. Lovely breakfast.

Review 93:Would be nice to have the ensuite attached to the room, rather than across the corridor, but we did know this in advance.

Review 94:Friendly host, and it was the one place in our travels that we found a crackling fireplace greeting us :) This was our 4th night of the Great Glen Way.

Review 95:The check in is not until 4:00, thats all

Review 96:This was a great place to stay! Sara is very lovely and hospitable and the breakfast is very large and home-made. My fiancé loved the Haggis! Its very close to the lake (you should have a car if you stay in Drumnadrochit anyway) comfy bed, smallish room. Thanks!

Review 97:The only thing I can think of is that one of the hairdryers didn't work.

Review 98:Very friendly service. Clean, warm rooms. Delicious breakfast served on time. Nice TV and games area.

Review 99:Lovely location, very peaceful. Close to Loch Ness an the beautiful area around it. Sarah was very warm and friendly and the breakfasts were wonderful. we had a lovely stay.

Review 100:Just the nose transfer from the other rooms.

Review 101:Owner was very helpful and friendly, she went out of her way to organise dinner for us at the local hotel. She also gave us somewhere safe to store our bikes overnight. Room was comfortable if a little small and noisy at times.

Review 102:The location was quiet and the owners were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and Drumnadrochit is a wonderful town to visit. Fiddler's is a very good restaurant to have dinner in.

Review 103:It's very hard for think that if there was anything that I didn't like about the place, if I must think one then the sound proofing between rooms was just like at home, you can hear the tv the guy in the next room is watching, i guess this is why it's called a B&B.

Review 104:everything was great, for this price i don't think that you can find an better B&B. rooms were very clean, facility had been well kept, looks like new despite the place had been running for 7 years. the host was very friendly, made us feel we were at home. the food across the street at its local pub was also great, best seafood linguine i've had in a while. me and my girlfriend enjoyed the stay very much , strongly recommend it to any couple who's looking for a short break in the highland.

Review 105:It was the view of all the travellers in our group (3 who shared a room) that a charge of £30 each for B&B for a room which was too small to accommodate our luggage was pricey. We also came to the view that the comfort of guests was a poor second place to family interests e.g. school run (when we expected to receive breakfast)!!!

Review 106:The breakfast was lovely and presented very well.

Review 107:Very helpful and friendly owner. good breakfast. no noise. great little river behind the accommodation to dip your feet in after a long day, better than any spa

Review 108:Bedrooms a little small for us but this may not be the case for everyone.

Review 109:Out door setting, close to loch ness. Wonderful pub close by set in a very quaint village. Host was very accommodating nothing was an effort. Loved that she provided a laundry service.

Review 110:No enough area in room to bring in both our suitcases.

Review 111:Guest host excellent with helping us about the local area and excellent breakfast. Had a nice lounge area and not stuck in room.
