Reviews for Park House Hotel
Review 1:The food is very good, but still does not reach top marks. This is the only small minus.
Review 2:One of our favourite hotels! The friendliness, the atmoshere and the location are just amazing.
Review 3:A boiler or water tank were noisey a couple of times, but there wasn't really anything we didn't like.
Review 4:Park House is a really lovely hotel. Beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean, with friendly, efficient staff and great food. The pool and spa are amazing!
Review 5:The vegetarian options on the dinner menu pricey and not well executed.
Review 6:Immaculately tasteful country house hotel, with a fabulous spa attached in wonderful Sussex countryside.
Review 7:Quiet, perfect, English country setting, very friendly and helpful staff, very good spa, swimming pools and outdoor facilities, lovely room with very comfortable bed, excellent food in restaurant.
Review 8:noisy wedding party, we had a room above a noisy bar, when mentioned, was told we could have had an annexe room. Ask if wedding on your stay and ask to be away from room over bar and wedding guests for a peaceful night!
Review 9:well appointed, nice location
Review 10:Food was average quality and menu did not change over a 4 day period. Room in Cottage was near to road and was noisy at times. The cost did not represent good value.
Review 11:Excellent welcome, pleasant staff, great amenities
Review 12:Having to leave so soon!
Review 13:The whole atmosphere is laid back, it was very peaceful on a Sunday afternoon. Comfortable bed, nice deep bath, all very clean. Spa facilities are great, really well equipped gym. Staff very pleasant. Beautiful grounds.
Review 14:Only one bad point for me is the shower in the room seemed a little small but that may just be because I'm 6'3
Review 15:The staff were very friendly, you are generally relaxed as soon as you check in, all the facilities, food and grounds are lovely.
Review 16:The fact we couldn't stay longer.
Review 17:The friendliest of all the staff, the bedroom was excellent and the food was lovely. The Spa facilities was superb.
Review 18:The hotel rang to find out our time of arrival and offered to book us a meal that evening. We had already had a big lunch but they sorted out a snack for us
Review 19:Liked it all.
Review 20:Well kept hotel, high standard of cleanliness. Free wi fi that works. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bedrooms with well equipped bathrooms. Lovely indoor pool complex. Clean changing rooms with sauna. Good quality dressing gowns, towels and bathroom accessories. Food very good, although some mains could have been a bit more generous on the size. Overall very satisfied, we will be back.
Review 21:We only marked it down slightly as the pool was quite cold! The jacuzzi is nice though.
Review 22:We had a night away while parents looked after our 2 year old. Truly the loveliest place we have ever stayed. Beautiful location, spotless facilities, attention to every last detail, truly luxurious, very friendly staff. We loved the small size of the hotel - hence very quiet, perfect for a romantic stay. We really can't wait to return.
Review 23:Loved everything about this hotel, the welcome we had was so nice. We were shown around by the staff and made to feel very at home. The spa is beautiful and very clean. Dinner was excellent able was the breakfast with so much choice. We will mist definitely be back!
Review 24:Having to leave, will definitely be going back.
Review 25:Lovely room, superb food, beautiful location, excellent staff, so relaxing fell asleep in the lounge(hope no one took photos),spa lovely.
Review 26:Very small room - nowhere to put anything and I do mean nowhere. Had to boil kettle on the floor. Small bed. We were asked if it was our first stay - it was our third.
Review 27:Big pool with adult only time slots - such a good idea Most relaxing pedicure ever Fresh vegetables at dinner Charming waiting staff Fresh flowers in public areas Delicious breakfast with fresh ingredients and good quality loose leaf tea Complimentary biscuits and mineral water
Review 28:It's only a slight niggle but the TV and info centre controls weren't intuitive and the hotel guide on it needed a search facility.
Review 29:The ambience and facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient and couldn't do enough for us. They all really seemed to enjoy looking after us.
Review 30:Nothing!!!
Review 31:After a horrendous crossing of the Bay of Biscay I was late arriving. I was welcomed with kindness and advised on room service which was excellent. A great place to stay and I will return.
Review 32:It wasn't expressly clear that the saunas are separate m/f - not truly a problem but good to know. I did ring up about treatments but unfortunately wasn't advised to book in advance - again, we perhaps should have thought of this as when we turned up there were no treatments available on the day we had booked.
Review 33:Loved the setting, the helpfulness of staff, the room was delightful and the food was excellent - had a three course meal that did not disappoint and was not overpriced. All guests can access the spa to swim/sauna - which is lovely.
Review 34:There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.
Review 35:What a beautiful hotel, the staff couldn't do enough for you, the food amazing, the room gorgeous and the setting absolutely beautiful. Also the spa was lovely. We will definitely return. Thanks to all for making our staying so enjoyable.
Review 36:Don't take the Bell Lane approach if you're an American and newto driving British "lanes"! Instead, come around from Midhurstand take the Bepton Road.
Review 37:Dinner was delicately prepared and top drawer. The gracious interiors ofthe house are beautiful and meticulously kept. The grounds were lovely.Didn't try the spa, but wished we had planned enough time to do agame of croquet. A wonderful place.
Review 38:Very clean and well presented, peaceful and lovely. Pools were great and tennis was fun - all free. Noisy generator or similar at night time was a slight issue but as a champion sleeper I managed to fall asleep. We were near to the spa/ pool though Overall very lovely
Review 39:Wonderful staff, super spa and all the comforts that you need, even gumboots for your country walks. The spa was fantastic. Really lovely renewing stay.
Review 40:No shelves in the bedroom - no drawers. Odd. Quite a small room for £220 a night. Tiny wardrobe - not enough hangers. Lovely looking outside pool but it was freezing as not heated. No-one was using it even on a sunny hot day. Dinner okay but you expect more at the price
Review 41:Lovely Balcony with French doors looking out over fields Fabulous swimming pool with very comfortable changing area Different pool times for families and adults only - really clever. Sleek modern spa Pretty (but small) grounds Fabulous, faultless breakfast Smiling, welcoming staff everywhere
Review 42:Certain aspects of catering could be better. The bacon at breakfast was poor. The menu for dinner did not change so if staying for a few days very limited.
Review 43:Position and facilities perfect for us. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Room lovely.
Review 44:The food was not as good as last year. We paid £40 for afternoon tea for two which was the smallest potion I have ever seen. At dinner the waiter forgot our vegetables although we asked for them 3 times! And our breakfast of eggs benedict consisted of solid poached eggs on a muffin soaked in poached water. Such a disappointment as we have been there before and so enjoyed it then.
Review 45:The outdoor pool and spa. The kind and helpful staff and the beautiful setting.
Review 46:Think the menu could do with changing and improving from time to time
Review 47:Excellent, comfortable and welcoming hotel with a great spa and lovely grounds.
Review 48:If I had one complaint it would be minimal wardrobe space.

Review 62:Facilities
Review 63:Beautiful surroundings, top class service and excellent food.
Review 64:The thing I didn't like was the sauna and steam were separate for the men and women.
Review 65:Everything and the treatments were great!
Review 66:Wifi didn't work at bay tree cottage
Review 67:Bay tree cottage was great Beautiful outdoor pool
Review 68:Wish we could have used the outdoor grass tennis courts which are only open in the summer
Review 69:Loved the spa and the intimate nature of this small hotel.

Review 82:Great sitting room and honesty bar
Review 83:Gorgeous spa, so tranquil. Lovely drawing room, so cosy, beautiful views from all rooms. Good to limit kids to spa in certain times!
Review 84:The very friendly staff. The spa has to be the best I have been to.
Review 85:Nothing to dislike.

Review 87:Nothing

Review 93:No complaints at all
Review 94:Super atmosphere Decoration with an eye for details Everything as new
Review 95:Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views and grounds. Excellent bar food.
Review 96:Location and facilities
Review 97:Mirror in bathroom too low for any one taller than 5ft 8in.
Review 98:Comfortable bed
Review 99:The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly but the staff are very professional and made our visit a pleasure. The grounds are simply stunning and exceeded our expectations and the spa is great. We will be back, I'm sure! My partner also like the fact that breakfast was served until a "civilised" hour during the week (10.30 am).
Review 100:That I couldn't stay longer!
Review 101:The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the hotel and spa is relaxed whilst the service is excellent. All in all a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back for a third visit!
Review 102:late check out potential
Review 103:Liked everything. very relaxing. staff were kind. the garden magnificent. Will definately return. breakfast was worth the trip!!!
Review 104:This is the sort of hotel that you only dream of, the hotel and spa were immaculate, the gardens, golf course, tennis courts etc were stunningly beautiful and the staff were so helpful and so efficient, nothing was too much trouble, they are obviously trained to a very high standard.
Review 105:The room was lovely, with its own little lounge area, and a patio out onto the garden. The facilities could't be faulted- there are lots of lounge areas throughout the hotel; we borrowed bikes, used the golf course and the outdoor pool. I'm sure there's nothing you could need which they didn't have right at hand. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kind; offering us a free drink as it was my partner's birthday. I wanted to stay longer, and certainly hope to return.
Review 106:Room in the annex house could have been a little bigger. Think therewas an unncessarily generous amount of landing space that meant abetter configuration of room layout may have been possible - but I ambeing picky!
Review 107:Food was superb. Location and ambience delightful, nestled at the footof a quiet backwater of the south downs. Spa was lovely and quiet, although a shame there aren't enough staff and coverage for lateafternoon/early evening treatments for residents. That said, assuming we book far enough in advance next time shouldn't be aproblem - as we will return.
Review 108:Loved the location (short walk from hotel up on to the glorious South Downs)...staff, accommodation, hotel and spa facilities, food, atmosphere, gardens, views...all wonderful! I was celebrating a significant birthday and the hotel was the perfect venue...just wished there was a little more time to utilise all the facilities (especially amazing grass tennis courts!). It was also great for meeting friends for lunch and afternoon tea (delicious!). Keen to go back!
Review 109:Very friendly, welcoming and informal. Lovely comfortable room overlooking the South Downs. Great meal. Ideal for walking as footpath onto the Downs only a few hundred yards away.
Review 110:Really minor niggle, but the TV was an Apple computer, and so the screen was a little small when watching TV in bed
Review 111:The beautiful views from our room over the garden, the friendliness of the staff
Review 112:The staff are friendly and efficient. Location is quiet and relaxing. The food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast and our room comfortable. We also enjoyed our visits to the spa. Already plannng a return visit.
Review 113:Food slightly overpriced with main course descriptions failing to mention all items included- i.e. dauphinoise potatoes. So as a result we ordered additional potatoes as a side dish which then got wasted. Steam rooms not working.
Review 114:Tranquil location. High spec spa and bathrooms. Good breakfast.
Review 115:Staff a little over attentive at dinner in their efforts to please, it was hard to just take a break between courses and relax at the table
Review 116:Location at the foot of the Downs, spa very tranquil and small gym with high-quality equipment, room was clean and comfortable, conservatory very cheerful and light location for a delicious dinner
Review 117:the weather!!!!! Dinner Menu, whilst great might get a little repetitive if there for prolonged stay.
Review 118:Hotel is very well run, beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms, great food, spa was superb. One of the best hotels I have visited in recent years. We aim to go back there soon. Reasonable costs for wine
Review 119:If I am being fussy then some more breakfast options for pregnant people / non egg eaters would be great e.g. pancakes / waffles
Review 120:Fantastic spa, very welcoming and helpful staff. Great continental options at breakfast. Very comfortable bedroom with lovely views
Review 121:I would not fault them at all. One point though - the dinning room felt very formal - quiet, with no music the evening we ate there. We enjoyed the incredible food and relaxing, beautiful location, but the formality would not be comfortable for everyone.
Review 122:Amazing food Beautiful new spa facilities Friendly and helpful staff Spacious bedroom We enjoyed dinner so much, we are taking our whole family there in a couple of weeks, for a special occasion.
Review 123:Can;t think of anything.
Review 124:Food was excellent, the staff were polite and extremely helpful. The grounds were delightful, especially the heron!!
