Reviews for Park Farm
Review 1:The flat screen TV is very small and we did struggle to see it from the bed, travelling with two small children we were looking forward to a movie and takeaway in our room but it was still perfectly acceptable and had a DVD player so we got to watch a movie. The bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was two singles pushed together, but not really a problem. Our bathroom wasn't ensuite but was very beautifully decorated, clean and had plenty of hot water for us all to shower in the morning so we left pleased!
Review 2:We stayed on the weekend as a local B&B to LaplandUK. Lovely owners, delicious breakfast, location is excellent with free parking. Our room was furnished to a good standard, clean and a fair size for the price. Vegetarian sausages were available for my cooked breakfast without pre-ordering, a real plus! The owners didn't make us feel uncomfortable when our 4year old and 14month old decided to act like little rebels prior to seeing father christmas at LaplandUK, which we very much appreciated!
Review 3:Nothing I didn't like!!
Review 4:Fantastic size room for us as a family if four. Two children slept in bunk beds. A fab pub serving delicious food just across the road. Breakfast in the morning was perfect and hosts were very welcoming!
Review 5:That we only stayed 1 night.
Review 6:Everything, we had a very warm welcome, and Caroline was very helpful with local knowledge of where to go, best places to park ect. Breakfast was Awsome :)
Review 7:The separate bathroom wasn't ideal but waa definitely not the end of the world.
Review 8:Location for Lego land was perfect. The owners were really knowledgeable about the local area and very welcoming
Review 9:Close to busy/noisy street Small rooms Coffee quality - better have tee Shower, water pressure room rates
Review 10:Friendly staff/owners Good English breakfast Clean rooms
Review 11:Nothing!
Review 12:The breakfast was lovely and the room very comfortable. The property was very quiet and provided coffee and tea making facilities and toilettries, which was handy.
Review 13:The lady host was very friendly, caring and welcoming. Travelling on my own as a female I felt very safe. The breakfast was super. I was well fed before heading to work.
Review 14:Very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent freshly made to order with everything you could possibly need.
Review 15:The owners of the B&B were very attentive and made our stay a very pleasant and enjoyable one. Our little boy was very impressed in the fact that he could come down to breakfast with his slippers on :). Perfect location for a visit to Windsor and Legoland.
Review 16:Owner was ever so friendly she gave us a map of windsor and told us the best places to go. breakfast was really nice aswell. Will definately stay here again
Review 17:We have just returned from a lovely one night stay at this b&b. Firstly, Caroline was so understanding when we decided to take a trip into London after arriving in Windsor early changing our arrival time from 1pm to 10.30pm. Even though we arrived late we were greeted by Drew who was so friendly and helpful even at this dreadful hour. We all had a lovely warm shower and settled down to sleep. The room was slightly warm, but we simply opened the windows as we would do at home. We'd moan if it was cold and I did notice the next day that there's a fan in the wardrobe if we'd have needed it! We had a great nights sleep and went down for breakfast the following morning. Caroline greeted us and introduced herself, the breakfast was delicious and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the fruit, yoghurt and cereal option (which is always the highlight of her stay in bigger hotels). Although this is a family hotel, my partner would usually be weary about staying here as he doesn't like 'staying in somebody's house'; however they are such a lovely family who go out of their way to make you feel at home with them whilst not making you feel as though they're being nosey (as some b&b owners can do). We will definitely be back if we choose to stay in Windsor again. It took us around an hour to get into London on the train and was so nice to come back to a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city!!
Review 18:Nothing really apart from the maid left our door unlocked (after cleaning the room I'm guessing). Luckily all our belongings were fine. Air traffic noise might become annoying if your stay was longer than a weekend.
Review 19:Very close to Legoland, Windsor and Windsor Castle.
Review 20:Nothing we didn't like.
Review 21:Caroline was very welcoming and helpful in many ways. We were pleased to have a ground floor room and space for our luggage. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast and tea making facilities in our room. Off street parking and convenience to Heathrow was good. We enjoyed the decent walk to the Windsor High Street, also the alternate longer walk to Windsor Castle via The Windsor Great Park
Review 22:Caroline, the owner, was extremely helpful, friendly and hospitable. Superb breakfast. Located within a ten minute drive from the M4 and easy to find. Windsor castle and its many restaurants are half an hour's walk away and a taxi gets you there in 5 minutes for £5. There is a pub just across the road from Park Farm which serves good food.
Review 23:Couldn't find anything to dislike.
Review 24:Perfect location , very friendly hosts, Room nice and clean plenty of Tea , Coffee etc . Pub with good food opposite. Plenty of parking space easy access to Windsor ( Park at the Railway car park £4 all day ) Excellent Breakfast plenty of choice.
Review 25:Bathroom advertised as next door but was up the corridor a bit, and bumped into other guests on way to bathroom in the morning. The breakfast was poor, seemed like powdered egg has made the scrambled eggs, and as the B and B was full there were not enough tables for all the guests, at least 2 short so they had to be asked to come back later. Also for Sunday morning breakfast finished very early. Nice B and B , but didn't quite live up to the website and was a bit overpriced for what it was.
Review 26:Good location, lovely bedroom.
Review 27:Nothing
Review 28:Good location for Windsor just on the outskirts so easy to get too with good parking. The owner was very helpful and accomodating to our requests of an early check in and couldn't do more to help us with picking a scenic walk into Windsor through the local park even drawing a map for us.
Review 29:Comfortable. No stairs! We had to leave early but Caroline offered to make a quick full breakfast for us. Very convenient to Heathrow and Windsor. Plenty of on-site parking.
Review 30:Literally the only thing was that the shower kept going hot and cold and even stopped at one point!
Review 31:Super clean and lovely size room and amazing breakfast!
Review 32:No spoon and No remote but both were fixed, Bed squeeked but fixed it with some tissue and no slip mat in the bath for when you shower
Review 33:Nice friendly people, comfortable
Review 34:Very nice host and very good breakfast - still possible to walk to Windsor Castle :-) Recommendable B&B - thank you, Caroline, for our nice stay at your house!
Review 35:I must admit at first the traffic I thought would be a problem, it sounded like you had a window open. But I didn't notice it whilst trying to sleep, the noise was strongly calming. Even my hard of sleeping daughter said she had a great nights sleep
Review 36:Loved everything, great host, great breakfast and fab location.
Review 37:Loved how welcome we felt. The couple we met were very friendly and helpfull. Booked a taxi for us. Even remembered what i said in the email booking. Fantastic. If i ever stay in windsor again, it will be here.
Review 38:A very warm welcome and a spacious and comfortable room. Most importantly, the breakfast was excellent! We would highly recommend Park Farm and look forward to our next visit.
Review 39:Heavy traffic when exiting property was the ONLY downside.
Review 40:Everything. Decor was lovely. Room was scrupulously clean and hostess was very helpful and friendly. Would def. stay again.
Review 41:The shower let the room down. It was an electric one with very poor water pressure so it was a little disappointing!
Review 42:Excellent location for Legoland. The room was a generous size, very comfy beds and plenty of storage. Delicious breakfast in the morning and a great attentive service. Despite the shower we would definitely stay again.
Review 43:There was no lounge area or comforable chairs to sit in. As it was raining quite a lot we spent more time that we would have in our room and ony just found the folding chair as we were packing up to leave
Review 44:The decor of the place and the friendly staff.Parking was a good to have as we were on a main road.
Review 45:We were visiting Legoland for our son's birthday, and the room was a good size, friendly owner and perfect for our stay, with a pub, restaurant & shop across the road. We will definitely stay again.
Review 46:Caroline was so friendly and helpful--took time to help us see Windsoras best we could in the few hours we had available. She pulled out mapsfor us to borrow, recommended the best ways to get around, where topark, where to go, where to eat. It felt like we were staying at afriend's house.
Review 47:We loved the accomodations. The rooms were lovely. The bathrooms were wonderful. The host/owners could not have been nicer. They had loads of recommendations for dinner and sights. The breakfast was fabulous!
Review 48:Proximity to the main road.
Review 49:Friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent breakfast and good choice. bedroom and ensuite was small but was good enough for us and the bed was comfy.
Review 50:Breakfast plates were baking hot which led me to believe food had been cooked a while before breakfast. Bacon didnt look nice. Sausages were lovely and cofee was gooood.
Review 51:Very friendly hosts. Rooms were clean and tidy. Very cosey!!
Review 52:The hostess very friendly and surper nice, give us a bigger room because of we have two big suitcase. Easy parking, 15mins walk to the town. Everything is great! T
Review 53:This place was lovely! If you are visiting Windsor with your family, stay at Park Farm! The room was perfect for our needs and the beds were really comfortable. Definitely would recommend and we will be going back on our next trip to Windsor
Review 54:We had a very slight plumbing "blip" in the morning when we were in a hurry to get ready...the water suddenly just stopped...but it came back again after a short time..not serious.
Review 55:The helpfulness of the lady who runs this B & B and the place itself was attractive
Review 56:Nothing negative to say at all.
Review 57:The owners were friendly and helpful. Giving us good advice on Legoland. Room was perfect for us and a great breakfast to start our day. Decoration of rooms are lovely. So much nicer to stay than an impersonal hotel. Will definitely return.
Review 58:Welcoming arrival after we had sat in the traffic jam in the area - Golf, Legoland and Windsor races all at the same time! Caroline and her family work very hard for all their guests. Nothing too much trouble and she had maps and advice for sightseeing and eating, so we were able to make the best of our two day visit. Breakfast substantial and we hope to return in the future. Thanks Caroline.
Review 59:Absolutely nothing! We only wish we could have stayed longer and had the owners dogs to take home.
Review 60:We shared a spacious family suite with our twin 13-year olds and my parents had a very comfortable room. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were immaculate. We appreciated the warmness of the hosts, not mention the very filling breakfast before we left to tour Windsor Castle.
Review 61:Everything. Family room superb, girls loved the bunk beds and lots of space. Breakfast amazing. Service brilliant, so friendly, like being at a friend's house. Great location, so close to Windsor, Cliveden and the theme parks.
Review 62:Perfect b&b, excellent service stones throw from Lego and Windsor with pub across road with lovely food. Would definitely stay again - first class x
Review 63:Made to feel like a friend rather than just a paying guest, nice and comfortable bedroom with large clean bathroom, good choice of breakfast and well cooked.
Review 64:The room was a bit small. When we were there, there was some repair going on on the telecom equipment so the WiFi was not stable the whole time.
Review 65:I liked that the building and rooms had character and were very cosy. The most i liked the excellent service and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. They also served a perfect breakfast
Review 66:After a long journey Caroline gave us a really warm welcome to Park Farm and Windsor. In between beautiful Windsor and Lego land the location was great and the accommodation was warm and comfortable. Caroline was excellent and anticipated our needs of a family with two young children really well. Breakfast was excellent also! Thank you Caroline and Drew!
Review 67:Friendly and relaxed welcome by Caroline (owner). Very informative and helpful guidance for transport etc, during our stay. Super fresh, well cooked breakfast. Off road parking.
Review 68:Organised it last minute and the owner could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Super clean and comfortable room, lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend/stay again. Thanks
Review 69:Traffic noise - this may not bother most people but we were 'up from the country' and came expecting more traffic noise!
Review 70:Breakfasts excellent, rooms comfortable.
Review 71:Caroline & Drew were more than helpful in giving valuable tips to enable us to make the most of our time. Park Farm was ideal in that we were able to leave the car and use our legs !
Review 72:Nothing specific; would have been nicer to have been closer to Windsor and our room would have been more comfortable if slightly bigger. Aircraft noise was as expected and not too much of a problem as we were able to close the windows at night, warmer evenings in the summer might be more problematical.
Review 73:From the moment of our arrival to the point of our departure the service we received was excellent. Breakfast was of high quality and provided an excellent start to the day. Cleanliness is clearly given high priority as was evident throughout the property.
Review 74:Caroline - lovely warm, friendly person, made us feel at home straight away. Really thoughtful toward the children and our needs. The B&B - clean, nice decor, great breakfast room, fantastic breakfast options.
Review 75:We arrived with a warm welcome to a lovely room with bunk beds which our two boys aged 5 and 6 loved, we all had a great nights sleep, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was served in a lovely bright room, Caroline is the perfect host, breakfast was excellent, fruit, cereal, yogurts, toast, tea, coffee, full English, nothing was too much trouble, lovely stay, lovely few days away as a family. Book your stay you won't be disappointed
Review 76:Usual British "thing"; water pressures fluctuate depending who else in the building starts to use water or flushes toilets. Baths are very high off ground which is also a UK thing but can be a problem when not so agile "seniors" need to use the integral shower.
Review 77:Proximity to LHR. Pub / restaurant across the road. Close to Windsor center. Very pleasant owners / staff. English breakfast had USA largeness.
Review 78:Bedroom got a little too hot during the night but soon sorted out by turning the radiator down : )
Review 79:Well equipped room with comfy bed, just what we needed after a long flight. Close enough to walk into Windsor and visit the castle and leave the car there. Sumptuous breakfast!
Review 80:THe staff were excellent and friendly, breakfast was cooked to order and there was plenty of serials, fresh fruit and yoghurt available. Tea and coffee. yuo were made to feel welcome from the mnute you stepped in, very nice people.
Review 81:Location was ideal for central Windsor and property was excellent. Hosts were welcoming and charming. The Breakfast was also excellent and altogether are stay was very enjoyable
Review 82:The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Room was spotless clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Would recommend to my family and friends
Review 83:No negative comments
Review 84:A very genuine warm welcome after a long journey. Atmosphere of b&b was very impressive and festive. Room well presented and more than we had expected. Breakfast was delicious and we could not have asked for more.
Review 85:Not a fault of the B&B but I wish the brits would do something about the shower water heating systems used generally in both domestic and commercial bathrooms.
Review 86:A welcoming and well presented B&B in close proximity to Windsor central area.
Review 87:Was a little pricy compared to other nice B&B's we stayed in...
Review 88:The hosts were very accommodating and the room was excellent. We were given lots of ideas for dinner and finally settled on the Pub across the street - which was also excellent.
Review 89:Nothing. This place is worth every single pound.
Review 90:We had a room on the ground floor, with an in-suite bathroom. It was decorated with taste, and most important: very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious, and it is the first that we were offered vegetarian sausages when we commented we don't eat meat. The kindness and helpfulness of the owners is what makes the biggest difference! I would certainly stay there again!
Review 91:We were very well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. It genuinely seemed that our comfort was important. It's rare to fell that when someone tells you to ask if you need anything, they really mean it.
Review 92:Rather noisy due to being on a very busy main road.unable to open bedroom window during the night due to the noisy road.
Review 93:Convenient location. Friendly welcome and stay. Comfortable room. Enjoyable breakfast.
Review 94:Park Farm is in a perfect location, easy access from M4, own parking and just a 15 minute walk into Windsor. Although situated on a busy road this did not disrupt our sleep. Our room, The Park Suite was clean, warm and serviced daily. Breakfast was plentifull and set us up for the day.
Review 95:The location was excellent for our visit to Windsor. The staff/owner was wonderful and her personal attention to every detail made our visit special.
Review 96:All was excellent.
Review 97:We were cycling Thames Path cycleway and Park Farm is just a couple of minutes off the path. Pub nearby served excellent food. Proprietor Caroline was very friendly and accommodating
Review 98:Our room was on the roadside with a lot of traffic noise. Also aeroplanes were clearly heard as the double glazing seemed poor. We had very noisy people in next room banging doors at night and up at five in the morning hence we hardly slept and the bed wasn't that comfortable
Review 99:The B & B was very clean and tidy on arrival. Breakfast was very good and the lad who served us was very polite. We were able to leave the car as we wanted to walk to Windsor castle which took us half an hour. Ample car parking space and kept very tidy outside.
Review 100:If there is something that can be improved can be that our bed was quite noisy and we could actually was the cx checking in at late night. Other than than, everything was perfect and we would definetly come back!
Review 101:My husband and I decided to visit Windsor for our first wedding anniversary. Our room was spotless and the owners were welcoming and kind. Breakfast was amazing!
Review 102:Bit difficult to find with no house number but worth the search. Aircraft noise intrusive.
Review 103:Lovely homely feel. Very clean and convenient for Windsor. Amazing choice for breakfast, well cooked and presented. Really nice hosts.
Review 104:Stayed overnight following a long day at Lego Land with my 4 children in the family room. Felt very welcomed following this long day. Very nice comfortable room ready with an extra bed for my twin girls. Excellent breakfast & conversation with the B&B owner. Would stay again better & more comfortable than a hotel The children enjoyed the day and the special touch of a night out instead of driving home in traffic. Thanks
Review 105:Unfortunately the noise of the street disturbed our sleep several times but we may be a little sensitive as we have a quiet surrounding at home. For the private bathroom we had to go over the floor from our room for 3 people - for a night or two that seems fine.
Review 106:Our host Caroline was very friendly and gave us good hints what to do and where to park to save money. She is very open and very eager to make you comfortable. Especially the breakfast is full of options and includes everything one can think of. Very good start of the day...
Review 107:Shame private bathroom along corridor.
Review 108:Caroline fantastic host, very friendly and informative. Excellent choice of food for breakie & plenty of it ;). Comfortable room luxury of private bathroom.
Review 109:Very friendly, excellent breakfast, good sized, clean comfortable room. Surprised by how quiet it was overnight, in spite of being close to a main road, and we didn't hear any of the planes from Heathrow going over, which we thought could be a problem anywhere in Windsor. Would definitely use this place again if we ever decide to stay overnight in the area again.
Review 110:Carolyn is a warm and welcoming host who made us feel immediately comfortable. Our room and ensuite were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast included cereals and pastries, as well as a hot breakfast cooked to order. Caroline was able to provide excellent local knowledge regarding places to eat and things to do. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 111:My partner didn't sleep as well as I but that's down to personal preference on the bed, you can't please everyone! We couldn't pay by card upon departure so it may have been helpful to have received an email before arrival advising this so we could be prepared with the cash. But it wasn't an issue. All round brilliant time
Review 112:We had a warm welcome from Drew who showed us our room and explained right away that there was a bolt missing in the shower but he was haut heading out to get a replacement and it would be fixed by the end of the day. Sure enough when we returned from our evening meal in Windsor town centre the shower was fixed! The welcome I. The morning for breakfast was warm, Caroline cake to introduce herself and was very helpful giving us advise and directions for the day. Our departure was also very easy!
Review 113:Nothing...all great.
Review 114:We took an instant liking to this experience after a warm welcome from the Host. Nothing was too much trouble. Location walking distance to Windsor (30mins but flat) and London Bus 5mins away. Good size room and healthy breakfast.
Review 115:Bed beneath sloping roof No working wifi Poor shower room....little pressure for shower, difficult to operateshower,no fan Sink taps wobbly, toilet seat loose, soap dispenser broken, hard towels Noisy from toilet cisterns in other rooms Payment machine not working when paying the bill Expense of room for such poor quality
Review 116:The greeting Breakfast
