Reviews for Abacus Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:The bathroom was down stairs & was a bit small.

Review 2:Was made very welcome on my arrival. Although the bed was firm, it was very comfortable. I had use of the kitchen facilities, which was a nice change. Sky & WIFI included.

Review 3:Check-in is late after 1700. Breakfast is poor, supplied in your room with a pint of milk in the fridge, two small yogurt drinks and a small selection of cereal. The seal on the carton of milk was already open as was the water supplied in the room. Noisy room hearing other people in the house.

Review 4:Comfy bed. Quiet Location. Cheap. Friendly Staff

Review 5:Somewhat difficult to get to without a car. The room was a bit too small for having a big suitcase with me.

Review 6:All necessary entertainment is provided for. So is kitchen equipment and breakfast. Internet works fine, too.

Review 7:Immaculately clean, breakfast was superb. I had forgotten to book a disabled room but the woman was able to put us in the ground floor room. Staff very accommodating. We did get told off for talking loudly but it was 5am so it was understandable. Excellent

Review 8:I liked everything about the place, it was in a quiet location and five minutes from where I needed to go. the staff were very nice, thank you for a relaxing stay cheers Trish.

Review 9:Nothing wrong with that hotel at all !! Would def stay there again

Review 10:Love it was near the woods quite and you have a full kitchen to use whilst you stay and it's even got sky TV with movies and sport what more can you want !

Review 11:Not applicable.

Review 12:The lady of the house was very considerate of my partner's age and difficulty getting up stairs and accommodated us with a room on the ground floor and bathroom just outside our room. Good facilities. Clean and tidy. Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely garden with the good fortune of a woods at the end.

Review 13:Found the shower rooms a bit small with no mirror for shaving.

Review 14:A great place for a short break. Clean rooms, with Sky TV (including movies and sports) quiet location, close to an 8mile (walkable) wooded area.

Review 15:I can only think of 2 things & neither is major, the first is we could`nt get a key to open the back door which was a shame because the garden looked lovely & secondly due to the very small space available the toilet/shower rooms are extremely small & when you open the shower door after washing all the water off the door drips on the floor & may become very slippy so be careful, although to be fair a small bathmat is available.

Review 16:We loved the large kitchen as well as the fact that it was very well stocked with bread, butter, jams & lots of other food that other guests may have left but it was great if you were hungry. Plenty for breakfast & always kept well stocked. The place was spotless & the rooms although a little small if staying for a long time we`re ideal for a few days.My nieces who help to run their mothers B&B up north were impressed as well so that`s saying something, we would have no hesitation in staying again if the need arises. A**********

Review 17:*we couldn't park in front of the b&b because there was no room for our car, so we had to park a bit farther. Not too far, anyway.

Review 18:*nice room, comfortable and clean

Review 19:Showers were very small and located right next to the breakfast room, which made it awkward in the morning because we had to share with two other couples. The access road is horrible because it leads through some military training grounds. Initially, we turned around because we didn't believe it could possibly be an access road.

Review 20:Jane was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the place is very quiet and peaceful. Nice breakfast-room overlooking beautiful garden.

Review 21:Despite reading on some previous reviews that the road leading to the facility was fixed - it is not. The road is terrible and not suitable for a nice car. There was literally not enough space to swing a cat in the room or the shared bathroom. The price of the stay was too much considering the above points.

Review 22:Road to the location is as frightening (military signs) as bone-shaking.

Review 23:Equipped kitchen. Full privacy despite accommodation in a private house with shared facilities. Quietness and relaxation in the woods.

Review 24:Small communal bathrooms downstairs. Extremely bad potholed access road - therefore poor location.

Review 25:Friendly, helpful staff. Good value for money. Well stocked 'help yourself' kitchen. Clean and comfortable with new, modern fittings. TV with wide programme choice. Off street parking. Quiet, pretty neighbourhood. Location could be excellent if not for road leading to B&B.

Review 26:1. Welcome from host. 2. clean warm room. Fridge in room with thoughtful supply of items. 3. Use of kitchen. Stayed in many B7Bs in the Farnborough area over the last 3 weeks and this has been the best.

Review 27:The road on the way to Abacus needs a lot of work. It's not the B&B's fault, but it made a somewhat treacherous journey for those who were chauffeuring me around.

Review 28:Fantastic experience. It was nice to experience British hospitality.

Review 29:The B&B was very clean , warm and comfortable

Review 30:Was welcomed by the owner and made very welcome. Was able to recommend a lovely friendly place for an evening meal.

Review 31:Arrived late was told key would be in key safe key was not there. Shared bathroom was not on same floor.

Review 32:Room was clean and warm

Review 33:Gorgeous, tranquil location, with friendly accommodating owner.

Review 34:good location, clean well presented and nice owner.

Review 35:The entire stay was wonderfully comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Excellent service all round.

Review 36:No en suite rooms

Review 37:Where are located Bathrooms

Review 38:Simply Quite

Review 39:Well equiped and comfortable.

Review 40:nothing

Review 41:Everything was catered for, could not fault it

Review 42:Shared bathroom

Review 43:You have to share the bathrooms with other guests .

Review 44:Very clean also the bathrooms, big and well equipped kitchen, good breakfast. Very nice personal.

Review 45:It was shared bathroom, which wasn't commensurate with the price. The bathroom was tiny. No option for a cooked and/or continental breakfast - it was very much 'do it yourself', which, again, was not commensurate with the price. Only 2 pillows each and none of the bed linen was of particularly good quality.

Review 46:The lady who owned the property was lovely and despite being a low-key business, we could pay by card. Sky was available.

Review 47:Access road was long and full of large pot holes and not too easy to find.

Review 48:It was a lovely location although a 4x4 would have been usefull (pot holes on access road) only stopped 1 night for business and needed to leave early, so didn't use any facilities apart from bedroom which was well equipped, clean and comfy. The owner was very pleasant and would stay there again if in the area.

Review 49:The approach to this B&B is down a very heavily pot holed dirttrack, of which no mention is made! Do not use a car if you value it atall! There is nobody to meet and greet you on arrival and it tookseveral attempts to contact the owner in order to gain access. Breakfastis minimalistic out of cartons of juice and cereal. Stay well clear!

Review 50:jane and her housekeeper were very welcoming and friendly,a lovely stay loved the room the area was beautiful lovely view. the use of the kitchen no going out for takeaway. joint use of bathroom, sky package, wifi, quiet no traffic passing through the night very peaceful.
