Reviews for Elnor Guest House

Review 1:Tiny single room, perhaps the smallest I ever stayed in anywhere. Very soft bed (bad for your back!). Thin walls so no privacy, with private conversations in the hallway fully audible and plumbing noises from dawn till nights out. Some traffic noise. Reasonably-priced for a larger room, but over-priced for such a small cell.

Review 2:Friendly, informative hosts. Clean, well-kept room. Modern bathroom and shower. Fast wifi. Off-street parking. Good full English (sorry, Cornish) breakfast with options.

Review 3:The breakfast was delicious!!! We absolutely loved it and enjoyed the stay. The staff were friendly and always happy to answer any queries/questions we had. The area was very quiet and environment very pleasant. The room was small but enough for a family of four and you could feel comfortable with the place as there was a familiar atmosphere.

Review 4:Although a little dated, the rooms were clean with a very comfortable bed.

Review 5:Thus B & B offers good value for money. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Review 6:Toilet upstairs had no sink, room was not a family room it was a double and very small, the owner Barry wasn't very accommodating and I found him rude and the breakfasts were always wrong apart from the last day.

Review 7:Very welcoming

Review 8:Being in ground floor small room with no ventilation on a warm sticky summer night. Host was abrupt and in a hurry.

Review 9:All clean Bed comfortable Breakfast excellent Key supplied for in/out access including late at night.

Review 10:Room size: tiny! The "extra-large" family room which issupposed to be big enough for 3 adults plus one child is just about bigenough for 2 adults and their luggage; a third adult makes it extremely"crammed"; and I do not see where an additional child couldhave slept;in the morning I had a chance to have a peak at normal double rooms... "tiny" would be an understatement!

Review 11:The landlords were very friendly and helpful; the freshly cookedbreakfast was excellent; free parking in the back yard

Review 12:The couple who owed the place made us feel like we were at home and they were very friendly , good service, comfortablest to stay and cleanliness was great.

Review 13:There was some stains in the kettle, but washable. Just wash it before using it.

Review 14:Location is great - within 10 min walk to train station; 3min walk to town centre. Very clean and comfortable. The cozy room has everything I need.

Review 15:The Elnor guest house was in a great location. Close to the railway station and it was easy to get trains to other places in Cornwall. My bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was a good size. The cooked breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Review 16:Room was exceedingly small, couldn't unfold the chair, wardrobe in your face as you walked in. No view except a wall and roof, though at a particular angle you could see further. However, it was cheap and that was what I wanted, it was comfortable, warm and cosy ! And also quiet, do all in all ok.

Review 17:Good location between station and town, both walkable to. Nice breakfast, lovely helpful couple, friendly. Nice breakfast. Though room was very small it was cheap and quiet (my priority),comfortable bed, quiet location and cosy,so I was happy.

Review 18:We stress that these dislikes are not related to the guest house. But, basically, we didn't like Liskeard. It has clearly seen better days, and is now looking dismal and poverty-stricken, with too many boarded up shops and pubs. Bodmin and Tavistock, each about 15 miles away, are much more cheerful places.

Review 19:We have nothing but praise for the Elnor Guest House. The room, the fittings and the services were all very good. Breakfast was excellent. The proprietors, Barry and Gisele, were delightful people. We had a very enjoyable stay, and have no criticisms of Elnor.

Review 20:The Elnor is a good location for anyone wanting to stay in Liskeard. It is easy to find being just down the road from the bus stops in central Liskeard.

Review 66:Sharing a single toilet with all on one floor, and having to return to room to wash hands afterwards. Sharing single shower with whole floor. Not being able to access car park through back door; having to go out front and walk round block to get to car at night. Bed like camp bed. Decor dated.
