Review 1：Stella was lovely and made a difference to our holiday by being so helpful, kind and informative. She gave me some hand picked local oregano rather than letting me buy it from her shop for example (now sadly all used up). The apartment was lovely, a little on the compact side, but the location was lovely and the accommodation was well looked after and pretty. I respect Stella for being able to remain lovely despite it being towards the end of the season!

Review 4：Nothing, everything cool. As a tip, ask for a room at the upper floor.We stayed downstairs and it was cool but upstairs probably you will have a stunning view to the sea.

Review 5：The view from the veranda/terrace and the atmosphere were completely relaxing and beautiful. Owners are always reachable, very kind. You have a small supermarkets and cozy&nice restaurants at the beach but you can go walking (10minutes) as well to Piso Livadi, with a nice port and more restaurant choices.

Review 6：The website created the impression that all of the rooms would have a sea view, yet we discovered that this was not the case and we were told that we should have specified this requirement (for a sea view) when we booked. The owner, however, kindly accommodated us by giving us a sea-facing apartment at a reduced rate.

Review 7：Fantastic setting literally across the road from a lovely beach. Kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the opportunity to do self-catering and eat our dinner on our private balcony. Also liked the extra welcoming touches - cold juice and water, and biscuits (provided by Stella, the friendly host).

Review 8：Carmel Studios is a fantastic place to stay. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that looked out over the bay for almost two weeks. Stella and her family could not have been more welcoming. A wonderful experience.

Review 9：Initially we felt that the bathroom was very small & were worried it had no bath, but this was not a problem in the end, and the wonderful, clean room and patio more than made up for that!

Review 10：We stayed in a studio with sea view. Stella provided a comfortable cot for our baby & we had a double & single bed in the room. Beautifully clean (and cleaned every day throughout our stay). The kitchen was well equipped with a hob, oven, fridge, pans & cutlery, glasses, mugs & crockery. The aircon was fantastic and large mosquito nets were hung above our beds, although we noticed no bugs at all in our room. Although the outside space on our floor was shared with other guests, our patio was lovely for breakfast and evening drinks and felt quite private. There was also a great view of the sea and beach from it. Lots of the guests we spoke to were returning for second, third or fourth visits, and spoke very highly of the accommodation and of Stella (who was exceptional at taking care of her guests and providing everything we needed). There were lots of lovely little touches too, as she left juice , water and a small bottle of wine for us on arrival and made a real effort to chat to our 2 year old, who thinks she's great! Another thing to note is that the studios are opposite a beautiful beach and just a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Piso Livadi, with it's great restaurants and beautiful port. Great place to stay at a low price. We would recommend to anyone with or without children.

Review 11：I only wish I could have stayed longer at Carmel Studios! There was nothing wrong at all... (The local bus stand in Parikia charged me double for a one way bus ticket so be careful when you arrive from the ferry and want to get Lagaros!)

Review 12：Stella and her family and friends were really truly welcoming and friendly (even taking me out on a hike and to a little party). The location was terrific (beautiful and relaxed and very close to the beach and some great tavernas) and the apartment was really nice with a great view and clean and useful facilities. Top Wifi too! The time of year was good too as the town was not busy and the weather and water was still warm. I would love to come back soon! Hiring a scooter was a good idea.

Review 15：Just 100 m from the beach, 20 m from the bus stop. Beatuiful and charming rooms, nice and clean. Practical small kitchen area, everything you need to prepare your meals. Super market, and a nice, local bakery within walking distance. We bought freshly baked bread and local fruit every day. Stella and here parents are very friendly and helpful. Great hospitality with a personal touch:) Would definitely come back! We travelled alone, but I imagine it would be good for children also.

Review 16：i recently stayed at carmel studios for a few nights in july. when i arrived i was very impressed with the location, just a stones throw from the beach and a large terrace for all guests to use. my room was on the first floor which was perfect, i could sit in the early mornings and evenings on the good size balcony and read/relax in peace and quiet. the room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfy, it also had a kitchenette with fridge,half size oven, hob, coffee machine and all the bits you need in a kitchen. around the apartments there are some great tavernas where i enjoyed late lunches each day. stella was just amazing. she went out of her way to make my stay perfect, even bringing tomatoes to my room when her shop had run out earlier in the day! thank you stella for making my short break at carmel studios so wonderful.

Review 24：If you could design your ideal travel experience, that is what I had at Carmel Studios. I initially booked for one evening as I wanted to check out this village before going further north on the island. Everything at Carmel was perfect. The setting (you literally look out your window onto an idyllic cove/beach), the spotless facilities and the hosts/owners- -who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I travel internationally almost every week for business and my stay here made a far better impression than the smartest five star hotel ever could. As I was checking out, the hostess (the charming Stella) asked what time I was leaving in the afternoon as they were having some friends (and all the guests from what I could tell) around for lunch that afternoon and invited me to join them. The timing worked perfectly, so I did. I'm certainly glad I stayed as the food was fantastic, everyone was in good humour and great spirits and my already positive impression went even higher. When I asked if I could contribute something, they waved me off and said that we were all guests and it was their pleasure to spend time with us. I went north for a couple of days and enjoyed myself but decided to go back later in the week and ended up staying four more nights. When I showed up again, they welcomed me like an old friend. This is one of those rare 'special places'. I've been telling my friends about it and am already looking forward to my next trip back in the autumn.
