Reviews for Arden House

Review 1:Lovely room with comfy beds. Was in nice area really close to centre of Arundel. The breakfast was lovely and the owner of the guest house was friendly and helpful.

Review 2:Nothing not to like! A wonderful experience overall. The rooms aren't cheap, but it was New Year's Eve and considering the date, location and overall experience it was well worth the money!!

Review 3:Lucie was very accomodating to our party of 7 and super friendly. The breakfast was delicious!! The 4 rooms we had were all very quaint and homely, not to mention very comfortable with great natural light. Amazing location.. and a great night's sleep!! I've already recommended that my parents go back in the summer! (We would too but we'll have our son so will have to find somewhere else.)

Review 4:The shower was poor, decore tired (air extractor fitting hanging loose) and the television small

Review 5:the location, a good breakfast, friendliness and cleanliness

Review 6:Lucie was very homely and welcoming, showed us to our room which was really nice, it is just a 2 minute walk from the main town, breakfast was perfect to start our day. it is just what you expect from a B&B :) very happy with the stay

Review 7:None

Review 8:Greeted with a cheerful and pleasant welcome. Clean; comfortable; warm; well appointed guest house providing a good night's sleep; with a full English or Continental breakfast with delicious home made marmalade. If the opportunity arises we would certainly return.

Review 9:A very friendly and relaxing stay in an extremely good location. The room was well appointed and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Just a few minutes walk to the town with plenty of food and pub options nearby too. The breakfast was great. Lucie is the perfect host. She was knowledgable and passionate about her town and what it offers. She was very helpful in every respect. I will be back again when in the region. Thank you.

Review 10:Everything was perfect - the rooms was by comfy, slept like a log, Ian and Lucy were exceptionally friendly and flexible, and the breakfast was lovely.

Review 11:Small room Room quite noisy being next to reception No vegetarian option for breakfast & dismissive attitude of host about providing this

Review 12:Good location Free parking Friendly host Free late check out

Review 13:Really friendly, allowed us to book in early as room was ready. Comfortable beds with ensuite, tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Very good breakfast. Would definitely use again and recommend to others. Location was excellent as only a couple of minutes walk to town centre. Also parking is available if pre-booked.

Review 14:We had an excellent stay at Arden House. It is very conveniently located in Central Arundel. We were given a very warm welcome by the hosts, and would certainly come back if in that area.

Review 15:Wonderful location, welcoming, friendly and helpful owner Lucie. Comfortable, pretty and clean room (twin with bathroom). Delicious home cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here to visit Arundel for pleasure next time.

Review 16:We just thought that bathroom was not very clean, shower had no pressure at all. No curtains in the room, only blinds so too much light in the morning.

Review 17:The owner was very kind and helpful. Location great. Honest breakfast.

Review 18:Lovely b&b very friendly.breakfast was lovely ask them to do a omelet this was no problem would stay there again .room was lovely and clean .staff was fab

Review 19:Lucie, the host. Lucie is wonderful, smiling, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and her recommendations were 100% correct. She is a relatively new owner and has turned things around in a huge way. I will stay here again in the 2nd half of 2017.

Review 20:Nothing to dislike, though a bookshelf is always nice and was lacking here.

Review 21:We had a non-ensuite room with shared facilities, and were given a big dressing gown and slippers which were much appreciated

Review 22:Nothing ... everything was great!

Review 23:Excellent location. Very friendly hosts who offered a great breakfast. Very comfortable and clean. Private parking is on-site.

Review 24:Very small room off the hall from which there was early morning noise. No easy chair in the room, no bath.

Review 25:We were impressed with the breakfast and the staff. Also a good location close to the town.

Review 26:The room was on the very top floor and my dad has difficulty walking. Probably my fault in not mentioning when booking.

Review 27:The owners were so friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful and my dad and step mum and a wonderful stay

Review 28:the welcome was fabulous. the breakfast also, especially loved the fresh fruit and yogurt. great location walking distance to everything and was able to reserve parking.

Review 29:They have a safe locking system for the rooms which I found difficult because you had to remember the code. My toilet was outside the room and I went out and got locked out at night and could not contact the owners.

Review 30:The owners were warm and welcoming. The place had been recently refurbished. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was good.

Review 31:Was a bit surprised not to have a bathroom but possibly all my fault and didn't read the small print. Can see that "shared bathroom" is now very clearly stated!

Review 32:Lovely B&B. Absolutely spotless, welcoming, wonderful location, accommodating to my request for a late check out. Great breakfast.

Review 33:The twin bed room was excellent, the location and the breakfast were really good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, would recommend it to others

Review 34:its a communal shower, not a big deal, but nice to have a shower to yourself

Review 35:very friendly owner, nice shower, good breakfast and accommodative for dietary requirements. Perfect location, with a short 5 min walk away from the castle, pubs and restaurants and the river. Parking was fine

Review 36:It was a challenge for my husband to get up the small staircase, not to mention to get the suitcases there. The room was too far away from the router, so wifi didn't work at all. The TV was a bit too small and we would have wished for a more powerful shower.

Review 37:The hosts at Arden house were marvelous. The location is absolutely perfect. Cooked breakfast was very good.

Review 38:We were mother and daughter on a well deserved break! Lucie and Ian were so friendly, giving us wonderful service and Lucie suggested ways for us to make the most of our stay. This we certainly did from the gorgeous breakfast, enjoying the cultural, shopping and culinary delights in Arundel, to relaxing in a pretty bedroom. A perfect break! We even went to a spectacular show in nearby Chichester. Thank you so much for a lovely welcome.

Review 39:Nothing, but, if we had not pre-booked a parking space, we would not have been happy to have to find parking elsewhere (and the associated extra effort moving luggage).

Review 40:Breakfast was excellent - bacon & eggs cooked perfectly and wonderful marmalade. Friendliness and helpfulness of proprietor.

Review 41:Maybe a hairdryer should be available. I am sure if I had asked one would have been provided

Review 42:Clean, comfortable, friendly welcome. Good nights sleep, which we needed after a stressful day.

Review 43:Very steep narrow stairs to 2nd floor. Check room position before booking.

Review 44:Iain and Lucie were very attentive, welcoming and helpful. Location just minutes from all Arundel has to offer.

Review 45:We had a warm friendly welcome by Lucy, good local knowledge. A fabulous breakfast and even a muffin to take for our tea. Thanks for a wonderful night stop Lucy; I'm sure we'll be back!

Review 46:The small car park. I did reserve a space but no space was available. Had to leave my van full of valuable work equipment in a public car park.

Review 47:Nice big bed & clean hotel. Staff very friendly.

Review 48:The water pressure for the shower was very poor. It would be preferable as adults to have glass tumblers for drinks in the room rather than plastic tumblers.the bacon was like leather _was it microwaved?

Review 49:Location and parking

Review 50:Parking was limited but manageable just about.

Review 51:Very welcoming owner.Staff very friendly at breakfast.Good value considering the high demand over bank holidays.

Review 52:Aside from the usual things you would expect there is a clear sense that they care. It's the little things that matter - shelf space in the bathroom, ceramic tile for hair straighteners and iced water bottles in reception waiting for you when you come in at night - that show that some thought has gone into this place. Impressive.

Review 53:Such lovely, warm welcoming hosts who clearly genuinely cared about giving their guests a good experience. There were lovely homemade touches with the breakfast and our room was so light and airy with triple aspect windows. An excellent location, right in the middle of town. We would definitely return :)

Review 54:The only thing I disliked was the single setting table where you have to sit facing the wall and with your back to everyone as it felt like the naughty corner.

Review 55:Very clean, with many thoughtful touches. The breakfast was very good, with a range of options like fruit salad. The chance to book an evening meal if needed is useful if staying longer.

Review 56:Room a little noisy as right adjacent to reception area. Room pretty compact. Very poor tv and free view receiver unwatchable

Review 57:Well located and good price for an ensuite room. Friendly staff very willing to help. Everything very clean

Review 58:Nowhere to relax should you wish to sit and read for an hour or two.

Review 59:Nothing not to like. Unfussy but clean and comfortable accommodation. Proprietress a delight. Nothing to much trouble. Very conveniently situated in Arundel and with limited free parking.

Review 60:The owner was very polite and a helpful and our room was lovely! It was a last minute booking, but I would definitely stay again if were ever in the area and would highly recommend.

Review 61:They was nothing to dislike here . The location was also great and easy access .

Review 62:It was emaculate and very comfortable . The couple who owe the B&B were very pleasant and extremely tentative to your needs . The breakfasts were really good and clean food . Extra attention to serve your needs at breakfast was fresh fruit salad and a variety quality cereals !
