Reviews for Premier Inn Sandhurst

Review 1:I didn't like the fact that to access dining (breakfast or evening) you're required to walk from 1 building to the other - in the rain. Taking a coat or umbrella for breakfast wasn't great for me. Wifi was a perpetual nightmare the 'free anywhere' was limited or no connectivity. The paid for wifi wasn't hugely better I had to take my pieces of hardware to reception each day to explain to staff, code & connectivity issue. On the 3rd day of my stay I was refused more codes as the service provider would think the staff had been giving access away. Fairly disgusting. That along with going to breakfast in the rain didnt really feel like it justified the astronomical charges of £360 - which I am more than happy to pay when service & provision matches the cost. This didnt

Review 2:The venue location was good for me.

Review 3:Very difficult finding the place. Can't-be-bothered service at the adjoining Beefeater restaurant, which was also cold and expensive for what it is.

Review 4:Large, clean room and comfortable bed. Friendly and efficient reception staff and clearly good chambermaids.

Review 5:the resturant food bad , no plates in morning used napkin, dirty cuttlery. lights dirty insects dropping on food whilst eating, staff just shrugged shoulders, bar man not very social didnt look happy once while there, evening food portions well what else can we say place needs revamp.

Review 6:premier inn hotel good, comfy room came with family group of 10 for wedding in sandhurst. out back could do with closed off child play ground.we stay at gatwick p/inn twice a year fantastic and food great.

Review 7:It was a warm night and with no air conditioning. The room fan was not big enough or a second one could have been provided.

Review 8:Good room and bed. The location was great.

Review 9:Breakfast buffet wasn't actually buffet as you needed to order warm options separately that slowed the process - would be better also if free selection from the "warm desk" as many hotels have

Review 10:Friendly staff, good service

Review 11:The heating was ineffective, the floor in front of the washbasin was sunken and spongy, the towels had seen better days and the whole place was dingy and unimpressive.

Review 12:The staff, especially the lady on reception in the evening.

Review 13:Free WiFi rather slow: they wanted you to use paid upgrade. Entrance a bit narrow and hard to spot. Tricky driving out close to very busy crossroads.

Review 14:Room spacious and comfortable. All staff very friendly and helpful. In quiet zone, which was mostly respected. Guaranteed peaceful night was reassuring. Breakfast very good, and served quickly.

Review 15:paying for more than 30 minutes wifi. Be fair Premier Inn - sort it out!

Review 16:It does what you expect - nothing fancy but very clean, comfortable and secure. Great staff - all of them.

Review 17:Receptionist very blunt on arrival. Asked for name and money then handed over a room key saying "It's up the stairs." We weren't told the restaurant had to be booked for dinner, we were just told where it was. Ask for a room away from the road as the traffic is very loud. Some damp around the window. I'm used to a high standard with Premier Inns and this just wasn't up to scratch with others.

Review 18:The bed was spotlessly clean with extra pillows should you want them. We were missing a towel and one was provided when asked. Full English and Continental Breakfast included in the cost.

Review 19:The customer service at this hotel is second to none! Pennie and the team could not do enough for us, even provided de-icer for the car! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Review 20:Cold room on arrival, but see comments under "What did you like"

Review 21:Our heater did not work, and we only had two spills of coffee. On alerting the person on reception, she immediately produced an alternative fire, took it to the bedroom and tried to repair the original heating fault. She did this quickly and cheerfully, and earned 5 "Brownie" points in our estimation. And we also received plenty of coffee!!

Review 22:On arriving had to double check booking as it differed to what was at reception. Receptionist came across as rude. Waitress at breakfast my wife found blunt. Best was the young lady at Bee feathers.

Review 23:Bed was great

Review 24:Although we were initially puzzled why we were given an 'adapted' room after booking online a few weeks in advance the actual size of the bed and comfort was brilliant. As everything fitted quite low (bath and sink etc) and we're 5'10 and 6'2 it was a tad awkward, but bed compensated for this.

Review 25:Nowhere to hang your towel to dry when you are prepared to reuse it.

Review 26:Staff were very helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the position convenient for my purposes

Review 27:That the wedding party were drunkl and noisy

Review 28:That the staff took prompt action to quiet the wedding party that was making a noise and a nuisance of themselves at 2am.I was given a refund for losing a nights sleep.

Review 29:car park spaces were a little tight. Rooms need a low energy night light. As the rooms are not as familiar as home being able to get to the bathroom without turning on bright lights would be good. Baths need anti slip surface and a grab rail.

Review 30:The location was perfect for my needs but also close enough for other services like the local shops and supermarket. friendly, helpful & polite staff. Very reasonable restaurant with excellent service and staff.

Review 31:The room had not been prepared for us at all when we arrived.

Review 32:When it became clear that the room was quite unready for us, the person at reception was quite outstandingly helpful in correcting the situation. Great attitude, hugely friendly and welcoming. Great staff.

Review 33:No razor point, staff were a bit lack lustre and the impression when booking on line was that it looked a lot nicer than the reality.

Review 34:It was convenient and the bed was clean breakfast very good

Review 35:The bar staff were not very attentive, gossiping in the glass wash while we we waiting to be served and tables needed clearing.

Review 36:Room was great, breakfast was the best premier inn breakfast we've ever had. Hotel and breakfast staff were great.

Review 37:No air conditioning, although a fan helped. No free Wi-Fi in room.

Review 38:Very convenient location, very helpful staff, spacious & clean room. Good restaurant attached. Strong recommendation.

Review 39:there was nothing I didn't like.

Review 40:We stayed at this premier inn last weekend and I cannot rate it highly enough. It was a very hot day so when we turned up they had left a fan on to keep the room cool. it was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were outstanding. Extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. We thought we had left a mobile phone there and Penny who was on duty did everything she could to try and locate it, even phoning us on her day off to see if it had turned up( we hadn't lost it as it turned out). food was very nice although staff were under pressure to keep things topped up at breakfast but they were very busy. My first visit to a Premier Inn but I will always try and book with them from now on in.

Review 41:Rooms were abit warm but they did supply a fan.

Review 42:Fantastic staff from reception to the bar and restaurant. So helpful and friendly. Good location for us for heathrow ( only 35mins) as we didn't want to stay at the airport for 2 nights before flying.Great food.

Review 43:Very quiet room , very comfortable bed. Very clean. Family quad room extremely good value for money.

Review 51:Chicken and avocado salad not very fresh

Review 52:Thoughtfulness of staff - I only mentioned in passing when I checked in on Saturday night that it was my birthday the next day.

Review 53:Sink silicon was covered in hair.

Review 54:Very good sleep, big room.

Review 55:Adjacent Beefeater menu was quite restrictive for several nights stay.

Review 56:Room comfort and facilities - excellent shower.

Review 57:Delayed booking and ended up in the disability room. Bed seemed a bit stiffer.

Review 58:Location, cleanliness and function.

Review 59:The wifi was a bit sketchy but when working was excellent

Review 60:The room and food were excellent

Review 61:Heating could be improved as we were there during winter.

Review 62:Value for money Very decent room The Beefeater Restaurant

Review 63:Nothing.

Review 73:Rooms were very good and clean

Review 74:Location / breakfast / size if room ... Very clan

Review 75:Narrow bath gives limited shower space.

Review 76:Warm welcome Ease of use and simple explanation of options(room/breakfast)

Review 77:We received a first class welcome from a lady who was only a trainee and were pleasantly surprised by the meals too.

Review 78:It was a really hot weekend and the fan left in the room was a godsend.

Review 79:Clean hotel and easy location with a service minded staff.

Review 80:Traffic niose

Review 81:Friendly service

Review 82:Not much variety of food

Review 83:Location

Review 84:Room was very hot despite having a fan.

Review 85:Easy to park. Pub and restaurant on site Large room

Review 86:Nothing

Review 87:Location opposite a nice park. 20min walk from station 15 min walk to take aways Breakfast was good Quiet night sleep Excellent staff

Review 88:the friendly staff the freshness of the food the comfortable bed

Review 89:this time around we were kept awake by other clientele located above and didnt sleep well at all but last time we stayed there was no such problem. we started the day tired as a consequence.

Review 90:lovely clean room everything you needed good restaurant grill attached serving good food. easy check in pleasant staff.

Review 91:After booking well in advance from Australia we were allocated a very inferior room. This room was in fact a disability I noted grab rails in the bathroom & alarm cords. I would have thought this was your normal accommodation until my brother & sister saw it & commented on the size & quality of the room. We barely had room for 2 suitcases on the floor & I believe the bed was much smaller than your other accommodation. I would be grateful if you could advise just who allocates your rooms or was this a problem with the booking agency as this comment was made by one of your colleagues at another property. Your property was recommended by my sister who lives locally but was horrified when she saw our room - not normal was the comment. So who was responsible for allocating this room Sandhurst or the booking agency? Jenny Anderson

Review 92:Not much to enjoy

Review 93:Girl on reception was very helpful. Didn't get her name but she was working Saturday 31st afternoon. I asked to borrow an iron and she offered to iron my shirt for me, my friends as well. Very impressed.

Review 94:The restaurant which apparently is a separate business was a shambles. One hour wait for dinner subsequently cancelled and ate in the bar after being told it was possible then not possible then possible again. Told too busy to clear away plates and to do so ourselves.

Review 95:The hotel was absolutely fine

Review 96:Food from the restaurant was not good - we had to return it as there was a hair in it which was very off-putting indeed. We didn't have breakfast there because of it.

Review 97:Receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean.

Review 98:I appreciate and can maybe understand as to why the rooms don't have a mini bar or some sort of mini fridge. How ever it is a little inconvenient specially with a little child needing his milk and yogurt at the odd time of the night,, Not a major issue as I had my own mini portable cooler with me, as I read up on it before I did the booking.

Review 99:Three of us stayed there, we are a young couple with a 2 and half year old boy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, stuff were all polite and helpful. Receptionists were excellent. In fact one of the receptionist, I cannot remember her name (so sorry) she went above and beyond as the first night we didn't have milk for our little one and it was late in the evening, although there was a super market close by we didn't fancy moving our car due to lack of space available. Granted hotel was full,,, She went out of her way to get milk for my son. It made a huge difference to me, so thank you so much.

Review 100:very impressed with the hygiene standards in the room. everything we needed to hand comfortable beds fab bed linen exceptional towels and plenty of them. only used what we needed.overall thought it was good value for money and the breakfast was far superior to any other we have had in other b and b accomodation.loved that it is linked to the grill so dinner was good as well||||

Review 101:Staff is indifferent. Rooms are tiny. A Quad is same as normal room, with just more beds jammed in there. WiFi is free ... for 30 min a day.

Review 102:Close to Tesco. Great breakfast.

Review 103:The smoke alarm started in the middle of the night. Reason: Someone that showered him at 4:15 and the alarm went off by the vapor development. strange.

Review 104:Rooms were lovely and spacious. Breakfast was outstanding the amount of selection was brilliant. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel welcome.

Review 105:That there was no washing and drying facilities. I think some coin operated machines would suit bigger families or longer staying guests.

Review 106:Everything- from the service to the food. Far exceeded our expectations.

Review 107:Staff were a little jaded, but then it was just after Christmas so maybe they would rather have been at home

Review 108:Despite being good value, room has good facilities e.g. powerful hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, flat screen TV, good shower etc

Review 109:Logging into wifi access was problematic and when logged in the wifi was the slowest connection I have had in any hotel. Not a good hotel if you need to connect for business

Review 110:As mentioned opposite, there seemed to be no person in charge at breakfast and the few staff on duty were running around like headless chickens. We waited 10 mins for tea mugs and fruit juice glasses and had to wait a further 5 mins for hot water. Breakfast, when it eventually arrived after half an hour's wait, was ok. When I asked for an explanation for the chaos, I was abruptly told that they "the hotel" were short staffed. That accepted, the chaotic scene at breakfast was unacceptable and ruined our stay. The hotel management has to appoint a person to be in charge in the dining room, to avoid the unacceptable situation described above.

Review 111:I liked the everything about the Premier Inn Sandhurst, except for the chaotic, and totally disorganised breakfast arrangements on Sunday morning.

Review 112:There was nothing that I didn't like.

Review 113:I liked the friendly and extremely helpful staff. The range of facilities which even included the use of the restaurant fridge. The room was spacious, very clean and really comfortable. Really pleased with this first experience of premier inn, so much so that I have already repeated the experience with a stay at the Llaneli Premier Inn, where I was similarly pleased with accommodation and staff welcome.

Review 114:Lack of air-conditioning notable in heat wave, but this was offset to some extent by provision of a fan.

Review 115:Quiet, spacious, modern room. Very helpful staff. Good restaurant/bar attached. In-room tea/coffee making facility appreciated. Good parking on-site. Easy to locate hotel on main local road.

Review 116:The cooked breakfast was very ordinary, scrambled eggs were dry and lumpy, hash browns were soggy, poached egg under cooked and watery, bacon was much too thick

Review 117:Clean room, comfy bed and good selection of pillows

Review 118:Pretend milk in the tea/coffe and not enough sachets for more than 2 brews per 24 hours. The wait for the Beefeater restaurant The walk from Sanhurst station not enough bar staff to order a drink, only taking food orders

Review 119:The fab shower Great room and comfort/c;eanliness levels Great large flatscreen TV reception happy to book taxi Lovely food at the beefeater

Review 120:nothing

Review 121:i found from the moment we got there that all staff were professional , polite and very helpful. the room was spotless and every need was catered for. very near to local shopping and countryside walks

Review 122:We didn`t have any complaints.

Review 123:The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

Review 124:The wait for the cooked element of our breakfast was over long 20-30minutes but food was quite good when it arrived however the lunch Ireceived in the bar on Sunday was not the best - the pasta was lukewarmand swimming in a thin watery tomato sauce - to be fair though the pieceof grilled salmon on top was well cooked and hot.

Review 125:The familiarity of the Premier Inn package. The staff where excellent particularly the lad on reception who booked us in and the young black lady who was on the desk early hours of Sunday morning - they way she politely reminded two middle aged men in "there cups" that it was late and to take care not to disturb the other guests was done with exceptional tact and real common sense 5 stars

Review 126:The walk in the rain from the car park to the reception. The walk in therain from the reception to the restaurant and bar. But to be fair thisis only a walk of 10 meters or so. Lack of biscuits in the room.

Review 127:Really helpful staff who couldn't have been more helpful. We verymuch appreciated their attitude. Closeness to rma Sandhurst, we walkedto the college and back which took us 20 mins max. Free parking.Attached restaurant and bar which provided great food, wine and ales.
