Reviews for Park & Suites Confort Marseille Aéroport

Review 1:WIFI was difficult to get access to. Reception originally said it wasn't available for my room. Room's fine detail cleaning was not up to scratch. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming.

Review 2:Helpful and friendly staff. Great location for the airport and Vitrolles train station. Generally clean and tidy. Comfortable bed and good shower.

Review 3:The room was very stark, sort of like a monks cell. Had to ask for help with TV, couldnt figure out how to turn on. The phone was unplugged and I couldnt plug it back in. The twin bed was very narrow

Review 4:The proximity to the Marseilles airport

Review 5:Airport shuttle did not work. Charged 10 euros for checking in early. Check in times very restricted, breakfast finishes very early and only open for short period.

Review 6:Good value and very convenient for th airport. Room spacious and good value for money

Review 7:we were given the wrong code to access our keys so had to wait 30 minutes until another guest opened the box for his keys, no one answered the helpline and we thought [ 10 people] we were going to be stuck outside all night! Also, no shuttle after 10pm which would have been ok if our flight was on time. Rooms do not look like they do in the picture! Travelodge are much better.

Review 8:The picture on your website and the description was of a nice and clean room with plenty of light and good amenities. The reality was a damp bedsit with a smell. There was a kettle, but no cups, nowhere nearby to get food other than an expensive hotel next door, no way to turn off the noisy and clearly never used fridge, a stench of smoke in the corridors . All in all this was clearly a bet sit made for student living, that needed its wall decorated with posters to feel even vaguely welcoming, and tenants to stay for a few weeks at a time to allow enough time with the widow's open to get rid of the damp. We were not impressed.

Review 9:it was close to the airport

Review 10:TV didn't work - no signal. No saucepan, kettle or anything to boil water in, only frying pan and no large container for microwave, which was positioned dangerously high for removing hot items. Shower head needed replacing. Floor not very clean

Review 11:Close to airport. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Lovely shower gel.

Review 12:Receptionist tolld us tobe back by ten but by ni,e there was no one at the front

Review 13:We liked the short distance to the airport but we were left out of the hotel phone answered only in French.not enough dire tions in English.

Review 14:Called to inform them I needed the free shuttle from the airport. They said no problem and to call when I arrived. I called at airport and they said no shuttle. I was told they were English speaking but the English was poor. Tried to communicate I was told I would be picked up by shuttle...she wasn't very helpful with no customer satisfaction. Cost me 10 euros cab for 5 minutes drive. I chose this hotel for the free shuttle.

Review 15:Not much...

Review 16:The shuttle did not arrive at the agreed time (5:30 am) and, as I was concerned about getting to the airport on time, I started walking to the airport at 5:40 am. When I was about half way there, the shuttle came past and fortunately the driver slowed down and picked me up. He apologised profusely, explaining that he had been held up at one of the other hotels by a client who was late. I was also surprised that there were so few restaurants within walking distance.

Review 17:I liked the proximity to the airport and the fact that there was a complimentary shuttle service. The apartment itself was very spacious and well equipped while the free internet worked well. Given the facilities, this hotel offered excellent value for money.

Review 18:It is in the middle of the industrial zone or something like that, not a village

Review 19:Not far from the airport and a very convenient shuttle (English-speaking driver), 10 min walk to the railway station. Big room (in fact, two), kitchen equipment for cooking and eating.

Review 20:For me, the wifi was very important. It was promised, but it was a lie. I arrived at 20:45. The young lady was in a hurry to close the reception. She said it was not possible to have wifi in the room. I asked whether at least in the reception, and she gave me a code that didn´t work. Fortunatelly there is a good hotel in front in which I could connect to internet (but had to pay an expensive dinner). If you like fauna, remove the fridge in the room and you will see what dirtiness means.

Review 21:Parking

Review 22:dirty, broken faucets, reception only a few hours daily, not even a bar of soap provided! Shuttle was inconvenient and hard to contact (although female driver was great at 4:45 am), no restaurant, dark.

Review 23:cheap and could hold 3 people in one room

Review 24:First the air conditioning did not work. I went to reception and was told the first time that the entire building was without functioning air conditioning. The equipment was in the room but very dirty in the vents. I asked some other clients and found they had air conditioning plus reception did. Then I went again and asked for another room and was told there weren't others. Finally after waiting around and talking to other clients I was given a room with functioning air conditioning. In both rooms I had no internet when I entered. I went down and asked at the desk. She said there is a box to plug in. I went back to the room and couldn't find the box. I went back down and finally she gave me a box and poorly explained how to plug it in. I had to go ask again and finally a third time I had to insist that she accompany me and she also had a hard time figuring out how to do it but finally did. Next I didn't have a remote control for the TV and went down again. She also had none for me. So -- no functioning TV, difficult access to a room with functioning air plus the room smelled when I entered, and difficult access to wifi. Partially very clean and then partially quite dirty.

Review 25:On the surface the room looked very nice. I liked the view outside of the window of the little houses and nature.

Review 26:Shown to a room with one double bed only, despite booking for 3 people. On querying this then taken to another room with no sheets on the beds. receptionist said that it was a warm night so sheets were not necessary. she agreed however to make up the beds. After a couple of hours this had not been done. She then handed us some sheets for us to make the beds ourselves, saying that she was going off duty. Uncomfortable beds. Dirty.

Review 27:Almost nothing

Review 28:Well, where should I start... First of all, their reception closes at 9 p.m. and you have to warn them in advance if you're coming later. We did, but the girl at the reception "thought we would be there by 9 p.m." and didn't leave us any indications (though they were easy to send by an email) about how to access the hotel. When you come, you have to call by a French number (which is quite costly if you don't have a French SIM card) and they'll tell you the code for the entrance gate, for the entrance door, and for the safe where an envelope with your surname lies waiting for you containing the keys from your room and instructions. Well, I don't understand why they can't just send those instructions to everyone who should have arrived on that day, but didn't do it by the time the employees leave the reception... Secondly, we modified our booking in advance, and moved the start and the end dates of our stay a day further. They didn't register that. When we told the girl at the reception that there was a mistake, she just marked it with a pen on our contract, but didn't register it in the system or even check if there was an error. As a result, the room service came a day earlier when we were not supposed to leave. We had an unpleasant conversation with another girl at the reception, who even then didn't understand me and thought we decided to stay a day more just out of whimsy. The next day, when we were checking out, they claimed we had to pay for an extra night, which we didn't, and we had to explain the situation for the third time. We even went to fetch the correct reservation, and only then they believed us and said there had been a mistake made. Also, they tried to charge us extra taxes, which we had already paid and of which we had to remind them. After everything was settled, there were no apologies for the unpleasant looks, conversations, and the inappropriate behavior of the staff.

Review 29:Terrible standard of room and furnishings. Felt less like a hotel than a cheap lodging - nothing like the photos on the web site of the company. Bed squeeked all night. Definately a low 2* hotel.

Review 30:Location

Review 31:I booked some months ago based on the picture. When I arrived the room was nothing like this. I was given a disabled room (not a problem) but severely unfit for purpose and I'm not disabled. The beds were box like on camp bed legs and one of them had handles on - I didn't know if it wad a coffin or a drawer. The receptionist drew a blank when I said it was not anything like the picture. I left and went to the Ibis Vitrolles which is far far better

Review 32:No reception open at time of arrival.difficult to find location; when rang for directions no one could speak English to assist. No information provided on how to obtain keys held in safety deposit box. Had to ring internationally to booking.com to get someone to call in French and get access code to get keys.did not see a single hotel staff person during our stay at all

Review 33:Price

Review 34:Room looked nothing like the photo! Bathroom Floor was filthy dirty. Though mattresses were comfortable the bed frames were so loose it felt like the beds might collapse with slightest movement.. but, the sheets were clean.

Review 35:Great location for early flight Use of a courtesy bus to airport Close to a restaurant in lovely hotel next door

Review 36:What I didn't like was that in the booking confirmation email it's not very clear that if you get there between 10am and 4pm you literally cannot get in the building. So when I got there at 1:30 pm on a hot torrid day to find the building locked up was quite disappointing. Apparently there is an access code sent along with the booking confirmation, but being from another country and relying on wi-fi to access my emails, I was not able to retrieve that code. Even if I could have, the keypad at the entrance was not working. I know that because I called the Customer Support and they gave me another code to try, but the keypad was dead. So yeah, waiting at the door of a hotel when there are 36 degrees C and no coffee shops or anything else in the area just feels like a ridiculous way to welcome clients. The second thing was that I had to get a router from the reception to get access to wi-fi. So I went to my room and plugged it in and it was still not working. Thanks to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff I was able to get wifi after they provided a link for access to their network. I think that wifi is a must nowadays and it shouldn't be so complicated and time consuming (for both me and the staff) to get access. I'm not trying to be mean or not even trying to vent off, I just hope some managers will see their services through the experience of a foreign traveler and hopefully improve them.

Review 37:The staff from the hotel was very helpful and kind and I really appreciate all their help. I had quite a lot of questions and issues and they all helped with a smile on their faces. For that, a huge thank you!

Review 38:Bed and Towel were sub par. Old furniture that is broken is not charming in an airport hotel.

Review 39:This place was more like a run down hostel than a hotel. By far a huge disappointment. The beds and mattress made terrible noises and the mattresses gave me a rash. One small towel was provided in a double room and the desk closed before I could request more. Many other choices in the area.

Review 40:- there are only sweet buns and jam/butter for breakfast

Review 41:+ friendly staff, + a very good value for the money, + good location in a student district, + it's very clean in a room (stayed in a room with 4 beds), + it's very quiet in the hostel, + all the rooms on the first floor have balconies, + receptionists at the hostel are available almost 24h a day, the only hours the reception is closed are from 3 am till 5 am.

Review 42:The airport service was non existent which was the reason I chose the hotel for quick service to and from hotel. Staffing issues? Not exactly but there is no staff on hand at certain times in the day and the aport shuttle was 45 mis late which made me almost miss the flight!!! I had already started walking.

Review 43:The staff very helpful, willing to make things work, very honest.

Review 44:Internet cable connection is out of date, no wi-fi in rooms

Review 45:Location for late- or early-birds travelers (close to the international airport, high speed roads etc.), pets-friendly staff, quality/price ratio.

Review 46:Pillows flat and offered no support whatsoever. Glasses in kitchen area dirty and some broken. Wifi in hotels should be free.

Review 47:Hotel location excellent for airport access. Room adequate for a one night stay and reasonably priced.

Review 48:We arrived at night, traveling with a seven year old. We called to get directions to the hotel as our GPS was not working. We were given wrong directions twice and then told to stop at a gas station to ask, he didn't know where we were. We were given no apology or concern when we did arrive an hour later. We asked for a place to find dinner at 8:30 PM and were sent to the Holiday Inn nearby to be told that their restaurant was only available to people staying there. We weren't offered the wifi which turned out to cost 1E and the desk closed at 9:00. We had no wifi to check our flight or to get information to those picking us up. The room was reserved for 3 twin beds, it had two doubles. When I asked, I was told we could move but I had 5 minutes to make up my mind as he was closing the desk for the night. Again no concern or apology. The room wasn't clean. I had stayed there before but this was an awful experience.

Review 49:Free shuttle to the airport.

Review 50:No change available to get anything from machines. Kitchen had plates but no utensils. Bathroom had one small role of toilet paper for 4 people, and one very small bar of soap, no tissues

Review 51:location, free shuttle to airport

Review 52:I was in a nonsmoking room but I smelled someone smoking so strongly I had to open my window frequently

Review 53:The complementary ride to the airport, the friendly reception and the ease of making the reservation

Review 54:High step to enter the shower No Telephone No possibility to have wake up call No guardian on duty and no possibility to call for help in case of medical emergency. We were not warned that there was no Restaurant attached to the hotel We went to bed without Dinner. The accommodations where Very primitive

Review 55:Bathroom Clean Friendly Staff

Review 56:Poor lighting for bedside reading Tacky furniture

Review 57:Receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Very nice bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed Wonderful shuttle bus and very friendly driver.

Review 58:Horrible beds; charged to hold luggage for a few hours before check-in;charged the room without permission (I always paid cash to avoid foreigntransaction fees); unapologetic, unbending rules for staff; wayoverpriced "soviet" style hotel; nothing like theproperty's description nor photo. Run!!!

Review 59:Leaving.

Review 60:You need to have a car if you want to spend evenings out. No where to spend a relaxing evening nearby.

Review 61:Since it was a week end, we think was quite, since it is in an industrial area, Free parking is also a very important valued part, especially if one stays on a longer term. Not very far for pleasant nights in Beux Port but must have own transport. Security entrance in the evenings make it feel secure and safe. Very close to the airpiort, just two minutes drive. Shuttle is also available. Very friendly staff and helpfull.

Review 62:Bathroom shower needs a full remake. Shower head broken drainage almost completely clogged. It filled like a bath, it took forever to drain. Not hygienic at all.

Review 63:The bedroom area just fine, spacious. Good bed.

Review 64:The rooms are not as nice as the ones in the picture. This is an 'appart' hotel not a "hotel" and it should be labeled that way. 10 euros for breakfast of a croissant, coffee and a slice of ham

Review 65:it is very close to the airport, a 10 euro cab ride

Review 66:They could give more pillows, but overall good value for the money

Review 67:Our flight was schedule at 10.25 AM, so for us who were coming from far it was convenient to stay in this hotel as is at a walkable distance from the train station, and offers a bus shuttle to the airport for free.

Review 68:The wifi is of very bad quality , only in the reception area , no staff available 24hr . Staff have lack of communication skills . Check out time is 10 am .

Review 69:Nothing

Review 70:Not staffed after 20:00 arrivals. Seems odd that the facility has no staff during the night. Breakfast was supposed to be at 07:00 ... 07:15 and finally staff showed up to unlock breakfast room. Most people are catching flights, so timeliness is important to customers.

Review 71:Quick drive to the airport.

Review 72:Wi-Fi is not working in the room, only at the reception. you requested to leave the kitchen in the conditions it was before your arrival - otherwise you will pay additionally for cleaning room at the photo looks much better then it appears in reality

Review 73:location - close to the airport

Review 75:shuttle bus to airport

Review 76:Could have b een a little bit cleaner and the kitchen needed some more equipment. The bins needed to be emptied more frequently and clean towels supplied more often.

Review 77:good value for money, good beds and comfortable.

Review 78:We booked months in advance, told friends, then we got an awful disabled room with single 'camp' beds. No sleep. Wet room flooded when used so should have brought Wellington boots to go to the toilet! Friends had pleasant rooms. So you take your chance!

Review 79:Only the location

Review 80:At arrival I did not know what to do, no reception, no staff and carpark and doors closed. Luckily someone else was behind us and opened the gate, he also had a code for the safe with keys and so we could enter the hotel. Without this person, I would have had a bigger problem as we did not have cellphones to contact the hotel...

Review 81:Rooms were ok and had all necesarry amenities. Close to the airport. which was our main goal and price was decent.

Review 82:Staff were extremely helpful. There was a problem with our reservation, so as compensation we were moved to a larger room and given complimentary breakfast.

Review 83:Too easily locked out of your room and parking with no staff to help you. You really feel alone. The morning I had to leave I left my key in the room and there was nothing I can do to can back in. This is a last resort sort of hotel .

Review 84:Clean and close to the airport

Review 85:A bit awkward to find at night could do with a sign as easy to turn off back on to dual carriage way but finally found it after asking at Pullman hotel annette

Review 86:Rooms could do with a bit of redecoration.Walls marked and damaged. Freezer compartment of fridge was a solid ice block and unusable. Crockery and cutlery a bit of a mismatch. Have stayed in better equipped accomodation for a lower price, but you probably have to pay for the proximity to the airport.

Review 87:Reception staff pleasant. Beds very comfortable and bedding clean. Rooms quiet and well insulated.

Review 88:It was difficult to find at night. It appeared closer to the airport on he map than it actually was, requiring many turns and slip roads on various freeways. There was no wifi in the rooms and the staff at reception were a little abrupt about us staying around the foyer to check emails. Not a particularly pleasant experience overall. I would try another hotel next time.

Review 89:The hotel was quiet and facilities were adequate for an overnight stay close to the airport. Basic breakfast, but useful and part of the room price.

Review 90:The fridge wasn't cold enough and you could hear noise of people out in the hallway with their wheely bags.

Review 91:The rooms were nice and spacious. The facilities in the apartment were good and clean.

Review 92:Hotel is in industrial estate outside airport and is difficult enough to find. TG for SatNav! When returning car to airport had problems getting on correct road as sign posting to airport poor.

Review 93:Very good as overnight stay before heading to airport. Free shuttle bus to airport excellent. Rooms were comfortable but could have been cleaner. If you want to eat need to bring own food or get take away.

Review 94:Breakfast was a bit simpel. The instructions for how to get hold of the key card after reception hours could have been more detailed. We got in allright but mainly because I had phoned and asked for. more information than I got in the initial e-mail from the hotel.

Review 95:For us the closeness to the airport was perfect since we arrived at midnight. It only took five minutes with taxi. The windows where so well isolated we didn't have any problems sleeping.

Review 96:Complimentary shuttle bus to the airport, very quiet room, very good location about 1km away from the airport and very clean large room! Awesome! Good value for the service. We recommand!

Review 97:nothing. It just isn't an awe-inspiring place, but a great practical place to stay for a short time.

Review 98:location, refrigerator & microwave, good bed

Review 99:Fixture for holding showerhead was broken. Checkin closes for several hours at midday. Vending machine was broken. But really an OK experience given our needs.

Review 100:If you need to be near the Marseilles Airport for some reason (such as an early flight the next day), this is one of the cheaper options. Without a car you will be pretty much dependent on their shuttle, which runs 5 am - 10 pm and takes you to the airport and the train station nearby in Vitrolles. The kitchen facilities are a nice touch, especially since the dining options are very limited. Room is decent sized, very utilitarian. We had a gorgeous view of the sea.

Review 101:The worst place ever. No service even though it was an airport hotel -closed when we arrived, closed when we left. Gates locked, hopeless.

Review 102:no bedside lamp. Very creaky bed. No toilet paper

Review 103:Cheap and well-run. Shuttle service.

Review 104:The spacious apartment, and the peace & quiet

Review 105:Moldy. Mattresses were dead. Kitchen non-functional

Review 106:Cheap?

Review 107:Our twin beds ,one was more like an Indian char poi, and were noisy creaking when moving.

Review 108:Walking distance from vitrolles rail station

Review 109:connection to the city not easy without car.

Review 110:large rooms

Review 111:Location and Cleanliness

Review 112:Price and Shuttle Service

Review 113:the fact that we had to wait more than 15mn by the gate for someone to give us the code because we arrived slightly after 9pm

Review 114:Proximity to the airport

Review 115:Nothing special. It was a matter if sleeping and go away

Review 116:The room looked nothing like the pictures, a prison cell has more decorations.

Review 117:Everything!! thank god we were only here for one night because we had an early flight the next day.

Review 118:Close to the airport but certainly nothing else!!

Review 119:Reception desk not open until 4 PM

Review 120:nothing to like.. never again.!!!

Review 121:Smelly room, air conditioning broken, terrible facilities, very in need of decoration.

Review 122:Friendly staff in the morning, heloful

Review 123:nothing

Review 124:Price Room: clean, tidy, clear, noiseless

Review 125:neighborhood ugly, dirty

Review 126:AC was running - location close to airport, woman at desk very helpful

Review 127:everything was perfect. thank you

Review 128:Comfortable, Neat and very co-operative staff.

Review 129:wifi not free.

Review 130:So cheap, bed very comfortable and Benjamin the chauffeur is highly entertaining!

Review 131:Everything except the shuttle

Review 132:free shuttle

Review 133:Unreliable WiFi.

Review 134:Free shuttle to AP.

Review 135:We tried to walk from airport, ended up in a lake by google maps.

Review 136:Free shuttle bus service
