Reviews for Distant Hills Guest House

Review 1:The twin room is lovely with stylish decoration. We like the sitting room and backyard the most, take some time for photo-shooting :) A detailed introduction was provided in a folder, could get whatever you want to know about the B&B and surrounding areas! Very thoughtful! Although we didn't have breakfast in the B&B, Peter did recommend a good place for us for breakfast. Thanks very much!

Review 2:Only issue was slow WiFi for business use, everything else great.

Review 3:Brilliant location Friendly professional host Great breakfast Clean and modern room Spieth Bridge is a lovely village with some great places to eat

Review 4:the place was overly clean. we had a little accident with a can of beer spraying drops. we had to pay a cleaning/damage fee of 50 pounds for that. The bed was very hard and not comfortable.

Review 5:location, nice area, lounge, wifi speed

Review 6:For what it is, I couldn't pick a fault with this accommodation.

Review 7:We showed up almost four hours later than we'd said, without making any contact (outwith our control, we're stuck up Ben Nevis with no signal) and Peter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful when we met him.

Review 8:Perfect as always! Lovely room, great breakfast. Peter and Lesley are very welcoming and helpful, they suggested places to visit and even lent us a road map for our trip. This was our second stay and our best B&B experience in Scotland!

Review 9:Room and bathroom are quite small. Heater is hard to tune to a satisfied temperature. Welcome chocolate milk is not good. Breakfast not included and too expensive.

Review 10:Located at the door of Spean Bridge. Good location to stop from north to west. Free car park.

Review 11:We were heading up to Loch Ewe for a week and had booked in here in order to break the journey from south west Scotland. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a room that was modern, spacious and absolutely immaculate, with a first-class eye for detail - bath products, tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and full of choice - the cooked breakfast was delicious and came with toast and tea/coffee as standard. We were so impressed that we booked in for the following week on our way home.

Review 12:Everything was great from a nice warn welcome at the entrance to the comfortable upscale room and lovely full breakfast. Quality sleep in a nice quiet environment.

Review 13:amazing room. Attention to detail (face wipes, shampoo/conditioner, bathroom spray, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, sweeties) Bed-SO COMFORTABLE. Lovely family home.

Review 14:I had missed the small print on booking.com saying it was room only rate. The additional cost of breakfast was unexpected but worth it.

Review 15:The breakfast was excellent and the room modern and comfortable.

Review 16:Scottish pancakes were too sweet.

Review 17:The guide book had grest ideas but our host provided a wonderful map for a walk on the coast in the rain. One of our nicest adventures in Scotland.

Review 20:The room we had looked on to the side garden were we could watch the burn babbling along, the room was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely would definitely stay here again. well worth the money

Review 21:Not the most attractive of buildings with moss on the roof and shabby office type doors. The room was small and the air and bedding had a damp feel and they ask for more money for breakfast

Review 22:The bathroom was modern and clean

Review 64:Really friendly, helpful owners, a lovely big homely "living room" area, beautiful garden, and fantastic breakfast. Lots of thought has been put into everything, so the room really looked special, and even little things like the tea / coffee making supplies were much better than you'd expect (great selection, tea cakes, Dualit kettle). Very impressed.
