Reviews for Inter-Hotel Hôtel du Château

Review 1:There was confusion with checking out. Two receptionists gave two different versions of the bill. One ignored the deposit, paid in advance. Her English was not good.

Review 2:Location was central.

Review 3:Difficult to find initially, especially in traffic, town has one way system, so best to plan arrival time carefully. Parking can be a problem, best to book.

Review 4:Lovel hotel in old town, clean rooms and helpful staff, recommended good local restaurant (which we enjoyed). Nice buffet breakfast. breakfast, and plenty of it. Attractions easy to find and explore, all within walking distance.

Review 5:I had requested parking. Thought I had got parking until we arrived and were told 'no'.Then when checking out they wanted to charge for parking. Lack of sound proofing. Wifi didn't work in room in evening.

Review 6:Great location inside Dinan's wall. Close to everything. Our room had a terrace. Very large bed.

Review 7:very clean, tastefully decorated, bright good sized room. Super comfy bed. nice they charged a reduced rate for private parking for a motorbike. friendly, helpful staff.

Review 8:Lack of restaurant at hotel, lack of clarity re extra charges - for pet and for car parking space. Rooms compact for the price.

Review 9:Wonderful, helpful staff. Clean and stylish hotel in good location. Our small dog was welcomed, at extra charge.

Review 10:Great location, very friendly and helpful staff (could also speak very good english).Breakfast was great a lot more choice than your normal continental breakfast.Parking on site, although limited spaces there is public parking very close by. I would definately stay there again.

Review 11:Everything was as described in the hotel website and the friendly manager was very attentive, even managing to find a spare car parking space for each of our 2 night stay.

Review 12:The walls are paper thin and the hotel is noisy, hot and the rooms are small. Our friends couldn't even turn around in their shower, there was a dog in someone's room, which was barking during the night and we could seriously hear someone whispering in the next room.

Review 13:Parking facilities in central Dinan

Review 14:the only point to signal here was that the bed was a bit hard making the rest a bit tough.

Review 15:nice room with terrace, all new and clean. Very funcional and in a really nice location like Dinan old town. Pretty handy to go for a walk or to have dinner at night.

Review 16:Just to be aware of small lift (3 adults + luggage would not fit), stairs for so - no problem, might be for older folk or families travelling extra children and additional luggage, buggies etc Also parking, whilst you need to prebook, there would also be a height restriction (we just about fitted into the 1 space that could accommodate car+roofbox).

Review 17:Convenient, near to the main tourist trail and town.

Review 18:Needs very minor maintenance checks such as the shower drainage sorting in room 120 and the floors are very slippery in the showers when wet

Review 19:Location simplicity and excellent breakfast very clean

Review 20:Shaving light in ensuite facility not working. Shower cramped for space and low pressure. Room floor not cleaned each day.

Review 21:A comfortable hotel, well located for access to town centre. Room and terrace satisfactory; bed comfortable; lighting and power points satisfactory. Free wifi most welcome and worked reliably.

Review 22:We had the family room and lighting was poor in one of the 2 rooms, a door to the main bedroom would be nice as well as some shelving in the bathroom.

Review 23:Location was good to tour the old city, walking distance to everything. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Bathroom was large for European standards. The rrom was very clean.

Review 24:Small compact but adequate room and with the hotel being built between other buildings, no views.

Review 25:Location in a good position to explore the town and also the castle being opposite was easy to get to. Limited car parking under cover but was secure.. Nice decking area off room.

Review 26:Comfortable well-furnished room, helpful staff, good breakfast, garage parking. Hotel conveniently situated for town centre and for walking round the walls.

Review 27:rooms are simple

Review 28:Location, staff, private courtyard areas adjacent to room, price value good, parking . Great location to tour area,St Malo,Mount St Michele, Jersey island, Normandy beaches all within reach.

Review 29:The rooms are small but comfortable and the bed was good. The staff was great. We did not have breakfast there but looked good. It is at one end of the Dinan but still close enough to walk down town in 5 minutes and the castle is right across the the road

Review 30:Nothing. Great value for such a central in a touristy town

Review 31:Staff were very helpful and friendly Location is great You could boil yourself an egg at breakfast - lovely!

Review 32:Additional charge for client parking. No English speaking TV channels, not even BBC World News, which I think is an oversight given its close proximity to St Malo Ferry Port. A bit overpriced.

Review 33:It is a big improvement on the previous visit. The eating and bar area have been well designed and the rooms are nicely decorated.

Review 34:Walls are very thin and noise from the adjacent rooms and the hallway was very intrusive.

Review 35:The location was great and the patio for the room was a nice touch

Review 36:It's very expensive for what it is. It's easy to find, but the hotel main entrance is not easy to access because the pavement outside is very narrow, and it's on a busy main road (not wide) close to a narrow sharp bend. On looking at the front of the hotel there is a cobbled road to the left which leads a short distance to the car park on the right, the best/only way to access the hotel from a car/motorbike safely. Once you know the access difficulties and use the side road it's not really a problem. Would I stay here again? On balance, probably not, primarily because of the cost.

Review 37:Good location just south of the medieval part of the city, a short 5 minute walk. Secure basement car park for my motorbike. Nice room, very modern, but not large, comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Owner/staff very helpful. Continental breakfast was good/average.

Review 38:Nothing.

Review 39:Great location next to the chateau. Very helpful staff. Good size room with a small private courtyard. Very quiet. Most enjoyable stay. Would recommend it.

Review 40:Room was very small - fine for me on my own but would have been cramped for two people. Repeatedly woken by the cleaning staff on the one day I needed a lie in after a late night (couldn't find any DND sign)

Review 41:Very clean and modern. Reception phoned to check I was still due to arrive. Pretty good location for the main town. Friendly staff. Car park available (although I didn't use it)

Review 42:lack of aircondition system as it was a very warm night and as it is in the centre it is noisy outside

Review 43:location is excellent in centre of town with secure parking

Review 44:The lift was very small and claustrophobic

Review 45:Check-in was quick and efficient, we were told where to park and we were offered a map of the town. Breakfast was good value for money

Review 46:The room was very small with the bed pulled out for the second child. The room was very hot.

Review 47:I liked the location and the safe parking area for our car. Good breakfast and pleasant staff

Review 48:The lift is really small, fits one person and a couple of bags! The family room was very basic with a small ensuite which could do with redecoration. The beds were not at all comfortable and we found ourselves not feeling rested in the morning and with back ache!

Review 49:The location of the hotel is brilliant and easy to find especially if you come by car and there is an undercover car park at the rear of the hotel. We only stayed one night. The Hotel is only a short walk from the town centre.

Review 50:Insensitive moderation has totally removed whatever character the hotel may have originally possessed leaving it bland and soulless.the furnishings and carpeting were sterile and the car parking was challenging .iwould not recommend it.john norwich

Review 51:Locatjion

Review 52:The trendy fixtures were a bit poor. The side bed lights were hanging out of the sockets with exposed wires. We had to cover them with clothes so our son wouldn't pull on them and our European adapter wouldn't come out of the socket.

Review 53:Great location in a beautiful town. Booking parking was essential for us as there are limited spaces. Rooms are small but relatively comfortable. Provision of a kettle to make a cup of tea would be a bonus.

Review 54:Some of the staff were helpful but one member was exceptionally rude and made any enquiry seem like an inconvenience. The wifi did not work nor did the communal computer so we were unable to check in for our flight. The room was very small. The breakfast was also mediocre for the money.

Review 55:The location was good.

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:Fantastic location unsurprisingly next to the Chateau! The room was a good size with great views over Dinan. The staff could not be faulted. It is located in a quiet part of the City and very peaceful. Highly recomended

Review 58:Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, hotel would also benefit from a communal sitting/resting area

Review 59:Room, outdoor terrace, shower, bed, location, staff

Review 60:Excellent central location right by chateau and a couple of minutes walk to the historic centre. Lovely room in contemporary style with lovely little patio area.

Review 61:room faced the road which was very noisy. the windows cut the noise, but the room was then unpleasantly stuffy and warm

Review 62:location, helpful staff and good breakfast. cleanliness

Review 63:The room was a bit congested & the parking was difficult due to site constraints.

Review 64:The staff were patient & helpful in attending the enquiries & the breadfast was good.

Review 65:Good sized twin room, comfortable bed, extra pillows provided. The hotel had a garage and accommodated our bicycles with no problem.

Review 66:The bed was a little firm for my liking.

Review 67:The location was great and although a small item, it was nice to have a separate toilet.

Review 68:Breakfast rather meagre. No kettle etc in room

Review 69:Excellent location. Easy to find with good garaging.
