Reviews for Premier Apartments Bristol Redcliffe
Review 1:1) the only offset was the flooring … very squeaky… had to b on tip toe most of the time to avoid noises affecting to d for below..
Review 2:1) Facilities in the apmt.. they even have a rice cooker! Very rare for a non Asian country :) 2) Located nearby grocery stores..even Chinese mini mart
Review 3:Very creaky floor. Tenants below the flat must have been quite irritated, by me just walking from one room to another.
Review 4:Space available. Good location.
Review 5:The exit door kept getting stuck to leave the building and the information on the booking.com website is somewhat incorrect (the checkout and wifi information) There was very limited parking and it was expensive to park in other places but we managed to find space in a close parking and basically avoided moving the car
Review 6:It was close to the centre and a very nice apartment in general
Review 7:the shower/ bathroom could do with updating as it looked a bit 'utilitarian' but was clean and everything worked.
Review 8:there was lots of communal seating space, good sized rooms and cooking facities were good.
Review 9:Excellent apartments, service and location! Staff were lovely and very helpful finding my lost bag of hair and beauty products that I left behind, would highly recommend!!
Review 10:Noisy floors, doors and water system so not very private when staying in two bedroom apartment with other couple. The breakfast was poor and expensive.
Review 11:Location, very close to city centre. Clean and comfortable.
Review 12:The noise and vibration from the opening and closing of corridor and stairwell doors. Every door slammed shut and literally shook the apartment walls. This could surely be sorted out by adjusting the retarders on the doors. No DVD player, and the CD player didn't work. However, everything else was up to the standard that you would expect of Premier Apartments. I'd stay again if the doors problem were addressed but not otherwise.
Review 13:The high quality of the spacious accommodation. Furnishings were of a very good standard, i.e. decent bed, no back breaking chairs just nice comfortable couch and arm chair. Everything was very clean. Close to everything for entertainment etc. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great Chinese restaurant nearby - Dynasty -worth a visit.
Review 14:Less modern than photos implied - bathroom could do with updating. Drying function on washer/dryer did not work so could not dry children's' clothes. Apartment for max 4 people (4 plates, cups etc) but both rooms had a double and single bed pushed together - unnecessary and took up space. No locks on windows - given it is a ground floor apartment there should be locks.
Review 15:Very central location, secure parking. Spacious rooms, better size than expected.
Review 16:Apartment showed some signs of age on the floor. Not enough power sockets.
Review 17:Nice alternative to two hotel rooms. Apartment was a good size. The request for twin beds was met for the kids room. Very quiet location and can walk to some pubs etc.
Review 18:Not in the prettiest street.
Review 19:Spacious apartment. Well maintained. Helpful staff. 5 min walk to Temple Meads station and convenience stores. 10 min walk to City Centre and harbourside
Review 20:The bed was so soft it could have been a water bed! (Well used me thinks!) Also we could hear people (kids maybe) running back and forth till about 11 pm Also the block bin was outside our front windows.
Review 21:This was a perfect place if you are working away from home. It was a lovely place to stay for one night too as we didn't stay for business very friendly staff.
Review 22:Nothing really apart from a noise flush on the toilet.
Review 23:Central Location and nice to relax in a 'home from home' type environment rather than a hotel for a change.
Review 24:Estate agents called to show prospective buyers aroundapartment....seemed annoyed when I told them no one was gettingin...owner apparently rents to premier apartments
Review 25:Handy location for city centre and rail/bus.very comfortablebed.....well equiped kitchen
Review 26:Apartment needed more decor. Was very sparse! Eg Needed dressing table in bedroom and picture on the wall
Review 27:Nice little sitting area and functional, clean kitchen. All very convenient for family. Perfect for our family weekend get together.
Review 28:I found the bathroom sink needed attention water didn't go down, this should have been picked up with mainittance. the bed needs replacing I could feel the springs coming thou.
Review 29:easy reach to rail station, and town.
Review 30:Nicely furnished and well equipped apartment in very good position for visiting sites. In places kitchen was a bit scruffy but this was undoubtedly damage caused by previous guests...eg work surface scored because people didn't use chopping board. Very spacious apartment. Our main concern was bedroom where window was directly onto pavement at ground floor level...felt a bit vulnerable. Overall (weekday stay) was quiet and suited us.
Review 31:Curtains were badly stained, sink in bathroom was blocked and every time we used the water with stay up with horrible things floating which was sickening...also could not freshen up as we was told hot water only lasts once and no warm water till the morning, when infact there was no use of hot water at all and it never warmed up
Review 32:Staff were amazing...very helpful and warming
Review 33:Only limited off street parking available. Minor point is that s choice of pillows is promised on a flyer in the Appartement but then not available.
Review 34:Great location and appartement..friendly staff.
Review 35:The oven did not work properly, it took a very long time to heat food through.
Review 36:Central location, friendly staff, spacious apartment, comfortable beds and a good shower.
Review 37:The location was close to the train station, the size of the apartment was great. Two bedroom with big living area and kitchen, could easily sleep 6! Nice restaurants close by
Review 38:Work surfaces burnt in kitchen and sofa uncomfortable
Review 39:Rest value for money, good location to walk in to the city centre took 15 mins. Apartment decor nice.
Review 40:Handle on bathroom door was broken. No one fixed it after we informed reception.
Review 41:Great location.Convenient for frequent buses which run all night. Walking distance to shops and station. Staff very helpful. Rooms very well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine.
Review 42:Parking was a challenge onsite and front desk staff weren't that helpful in getting viable options to park for 24 hours off site.
Review 43:Self catering was good plus apartments were of a good size and well fitted out.
Review 44:The bathroom needs a little upgrading.
Review 45:Perfect location in the business area in the centre of Bristol so very quiet at night. Warm, clean and comfortable
Review 46:Usually get welcome box of goodies, but only teabags and coffee with not much milk. Only one set of towels in the bathroom, had to find the other - we'd booked for two people so both sets should be out. kitchen and bathroom looking tired.
Review 47:Location was great. Apartment was comfortable.
Review 48:Noise from gates to property Door to balcony jammed - reported to reception staff but not repaired therefore not able to open for ventilation. More concerning is that this would have acted as a fire escape.
Review 49:Proximity to city centre Cleanliness
Review 50:the finish was a starting to look a little dated, esp. in bathroom. however overall facilities and decor was good.
Review 51:nice good size apartment, comfortable and clean.
Review 52:There were a couple of tatty fixtures and fittings but nothing major.
Review 53:Very impressed with these apartments. only stayed for the one night and would have liked to have stayed for longer to make proper use of all of the facilities. but loved the secure parking, the location was just a few mins from bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was very smart and tidy and staff helpful and polite.
Review 54:Didn't know we had to book for a parking space in advance.
Review 55:Everything was flawless. Nice view on the rooftop. It has everything facility, very convenient for family / group of friends. Would definitely visit again!!
Review 56:The property could do with a bit of upgrading on the decor. Car parking space is tiny and has to be paid for.
Review 57:Nice apartment , near to the city centre.
Review 58:Ideal for us as a family - two bedrooms and the apartment facilities meant that we could get our own breakfast etc. Well located in city centre so we could walk to places we wanted to visit.
Review 59:We sent an email before arrival but still didn't have a parking space and although they sorted this out for the next two of our three night stay we were lucky and the website wasn't clear about the extra cost of this. Also the floorboards beneath the floor covers were very very creaky. Overall not a bad place but not very efficient and not the most efficient. Also as is not unusual in a less than 5* place the bed sagged a little, and the lack of a hair-dryer seemed somewhat old-fashioned!
Review 60:Good Location and they had a cafetierre in the kitchen area, which was good for what we wanted and the staff were friendly.
Review 61:The bedding was 100% polyester & the mattresses were cheap & rolled together. Found the value for money quite hard to justify for such poor bedroom furnishings.
Review 62:The location was great, we chose this as it was close to the start line for the half marathon. The spacious apartments also allowed us to spread out and use the kitchen facilities. The staff were responsive to early check outs and late check ins (reception is only open very limited hours).
Review 63:I had to find a manual to use the oven as it was difficult to find the right buttons would like a guide or a poster like the watching machine had
Review 64:Loved the size of the apartment great value for money, everything was very clean and perfectly laid out.
Review 65:Lack of parking No Scourer in kitchen Ambiguous instructions for washing machine Noisy room because of early traffic noise at 6am
Review 66:Spacious with an elevator
Review 67:Only ever enough hot water for one of us to have a quick shower in the morning. It was possible to boost the hot water but that meant waiting 1.5hrs. This is all that they mean by "being green" as I did not witness any other eco-friendly initiatives. While tying my laces, I realised that the carpet next to the bed retained the smell of a previous guest's vomit.
Review 68:The apartments were walking distance from Temple Meads Station and to the harbour. The apartment appeared clean. There were a variety of pots and pans and utensils for cooking our meals.
Review 69:Bad bed - lots of roll together - I ended up sleeping on the floor. Broken slats in z bed - leaking shower because the water came round the seal on the shower screen and went all over the floor
Review 70:kitchen facilities and location
Review 71:The couches were torn, the floor scratched up, it felt run down
Review 72:Location was fantastic, exactly what we needed, especially for someone who already knows the area.
Review 73:The oven was out of order which is an important appliance to prepare meal. The big window at the balcony had problem to close it. Altgough we reported to the staff, nobody came to repaire them. We request to fill the toilet paper before go out but we have to get it from reception by ourselves. For a seevice apartment, refilling tissue should be a basic expectation from the customer.
Review 74:It's spacious. Have check out express. Just drop the key and leave. They send me the receipt by email in next day. It's clase to the train station, just a few minutes walk. Wifi is free and work well.
Review 75:Well worn, first impression with large scratches in floor, worn torn couches, burn on kitchen counter, stains on walks and carpets and no globe in bedside lamp was a bit of a shock.
Review 76:It was clean and spacious despite initial impression. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 77:Wifi was supposed to be free but was limited - we couldn't seem to get it anywhere and the charge to connect to additional wifi seemed a bit much.
Review 78:Location, size of room, bed was great! Everything had been thought of and provided in the kitchen down to washing up bits, dishwasher and washing machine tablets! A real home away from home.
Review 79:One of the reasons we stayed here was to use the laundry facilities. The washer/dryer was not working properly and the door kept sticking- it was quite a nuisance. The washing instructions were also extremely confusing.
Review 80:The staff were very friendly and the apartment was very spacious!! There was a lot of room to spread out. The kitchen facilities were nice as well.
Review 81:mattress too wobbly so disturbed each other all night. getting in late was fraught because electric gate wouldn't open. emergency number sorted it though.
Review 82:plenty of space, quiet, good location, clean as a whistle, generally very comfy (apart from the mattress!)
Review 83:Very hot in the apartment. One bedroom needed a fan. Car park left open so no security even though there were electric gates.
Review 84:The closeness of the appartment to Bristol town centre and the tourist spots.
Review 85:We bought food for breakfast as we had an early start but the oven and frill were broken . Staff were nit on shift yet so we had eggs and bacon fio 4 cooked in one frying pan one breakfast at a time. Not great. saucepans werent non stick We had 3 apartments for a group of us. One apartment had very worm leatherette sofas- .We only stayed one night,so didn't bother to complain at the time as we had our daughters graduation to attend. Also no hairdryer and was listed as in the apartment facilities.
Review 86:Big rooms, comfy bed, balcony especially
Review 87:Location is a bit removed from major amenities although Cabot is only a 15-minute walk away.
Review 88:Well-equipped apartment, very comfortable. Pleasant & friendly receptionist. Security is good.
Review 89:Beds in the second bedroom are tiny, not suitable for a couple of average height or above! Maybe stick to single bed apartments if there is a group of you travelling.
Review 90:Good location between train station and city centre.
Review 91:I sent a query by email prior to my stay which was dealt with quickly. The staff were very helpful and polite on arrival. I felt the property was secure.
Review 92:The water heater was not functioning well initially, but it was repaired immediately after our feedback.
Review 93:The self-catering facilities are excellent. The staff are attentive and polite.
Review 94:We had a few problems with the equipment: The TV didn't work (but was replaced it immediately.) The dryer didn't work but wasn't essential. There was also a leak in the bath surround. The staff were quick and helpful at putting things right.
Review 95:It was good to have the space of a separate bedroom and living/eating area. The location is handy for the old city, the shopping centre and the canals.
Review 96:no instructions in apartment as to how to use appliances. Booked parking spot told by staff nothing available had to persist that as booming had been prepaid parking must be made available. Do t like arguments when checking in
Review 97:position very good, apartment very comfortable even for 2 couples. Wifi excellent
Review 98:If travelling by car the directions to get to the apartments are not clear. There are no parking options other than expensive multi-story.
Review 99:The apartment was well equipped and comfortable and in an excellent position to explore Bristol, plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. Please note this review is for the apartments at Cabot Circus not Redcliffe
Review 100:Checking out at 8:45 meant that it was too early to hand our keys back to an actual member of staff. Construction of the property meant that we could hear every footstep of the people in the apartment above us - not good!
Review 101:No real bad experiences. Maybe a little noisy with street traffic and hen parties staying at the hotel but things did settle down. We did not have any sleepless nights.
Review 102:Within walking distance to a lot of major attractions. Our room was clean, we had everything we needed. To get more hot water you do need to boost the tank. Read the instructions provided to you when you check in. Within a three minute walk to a Tesco Express for groceries, wine and beer. (prices and portion sizes are reasonable). We found staff to be very helpful and friendly. You need to look at the times that reception is available. There is not someone at reception 24 hours however there is an emergency contact number to call for emergency purposes only. There is also a medical clinic near by however I am not sure of the hours or how it works. Close to shopping -- Nicolas Market, Christmas Steps and Cabot Circle and harbourside-- -- 20 min walk. Close to public transit... city bus and train station. We walked everywhere.
Review 103:shortage of parking spaces but you can park on the street overnight for free. There is a car park around the corner for £5 over 4 hours stay
Review 104:clean and spacious
Review 105:Drying of tea towels etc in the door/hall way didn't give a great first impression.
Review 106:good place to stay, exactly what we needed & clean. Staff at reception were helpful too.
Review 107:Wish we had been aware that full balconys were on the front of the building only as would have chosen this type of room.
Review 108:Cleanliness, facilities and spacious.
Review 109:Would have liked more info on parking. Was unable to book on site parking, so had to look around.
Review 110:The sociability of staying in an apartment, having a living room and kitchen was great for a group
Review 111:On-site parking full so had to park in a nearby car park. Only at end of street but meant we had to go out at 9am each morning to feed the meter
Review 112:Everything supplied - from tea and coffee to washing up liquid and oven glove! Great location close to harbourside attractions Try the Dynasy Chinese and real ale at the Seven Stars pub both further down St Thomas Street
Review 113:No oil to cook, but I do not mind. Stil very good
Review 114:Good location. Good kitchen and salt or black paper to cook ... Warm room with good bed for sleeping. The staff helps us to call taxi and they r very friendly
Review 115:We checked in quite late and were given instructions to a secure locked safe to get our keys only to realise the room we accessed had another guest already checked in which was quite embarrassing. The error was rectified once I spoke to someone from the emergency contact but it was quite embarrassing for ourselves and the other guests.
Review 116:The staff were very friendly and the place was situated in a great location near most attractions that were walking distance. There is also a tesco round the corner which was very useful.
Review 117:The kitchen was sparsely supplied, not even a simple French press or coffeemaker. Did not like prison-like gate for entry. Not even a bench outside. Promised balcony on ground floor didn't exist and upper floor ones small and flimsy.
Review 118:We liked the location. Apartment was good size.
Review 119:The only issue is that you might not get a parking space if you arrive later.
Review 120:If you can get a discount this has got to be one of the best places to stay in Bristol. Always good quality - clean and maintained. Great location and loads of space.
Review 121:Stay for a night with my bro for a concert. The apartment was so nice and comfortable we almost chose to stay in rather than go to the concert. It has all the facilities you'll need and the location is great
Review 122:Extra cutlery and crockery would be a good idea - only having 4 of everything means constant washing up by hand. Not being able to flush toilet paper is something I've only seen before in Cyprus! The inevitable street noise from revelers is a detraction for front-facing apartments of course.
Review 123:On-site gated parking is a great bonus for peace of mind. Staff were helpful both by email and face to face. Close Tesco Local was useful.
Review 124:Every weekend there are incredible noisy student parties until late, and the receptionists don't do anything to stop it despite the strict rules that they send via email. The mattress was awful, the worst that I have ever slept.
Review 125:The apartment was clean and well situated. The free wifi service was good.
Review 126:The agency couldn't be any worse. I spend many hours, several evenings, looking for the perfect place. Found and booked. Two days before the date they call me to inform me that the apartment I'd booked wasn't available anymore due to technical problems. They offer me another apartment and I ask if they could send me all details of the new place. They do send an e-mail, I like the new offer and reply that I am happy with it. They didn't send me any confirmation e-mail as they didn't send any instructions on how to self check-in once arrived. I call them and they say they will send me instructions. Check-in time at 15:00 but they sent me the instructions at 15:40. That ruined our schedule. When I finally receive the instructions we check-in and enter the property. Property looks good but there is no-way we could cook for three people with those doll-house sized pans (the apartment is actually supposed to support four guests). The wi-fi password is nowhere to be found so I call them and they say they will call me back... never heard from them again. What did I bring my laptop for? We paid for it and the agency didn't even call back to say: "I am sorry, we can't find the password. I've never found a more careless agency.
Review 127:The flat was perfect. Very clean and tidy, warm and cozy, very central.
Review 128:Just awfull damp smell when you enter worn out sofa beds must have no springs left bathroom broken tiles and very old when we complained staff said they are in the process of being done up.These are old apartments being rented out to Stag and Hen parties that keep you up all night avoid at all costs if you have a young family.
Review 129:Nothing
Review 130:Had to turn on the hot water to heat it up and didn't realise this was the case so it held me up a but.
Review 131:Amazingly comfy bed and good facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 132:Perfect Location. Close to Tesco and quick Shopping Areas. Not too far from Cabbot Circus etc. Very Pleasant. Wonderful accomodation with kitchen fully equipped. Small secure terrace.
Review 133:The furniture and the apartment was a bit tatty. The was a lot of noise from other guest. Shame the parking was limited and expensive.
Review 134:A good place to stay as we needed to to meet up with my daughter. It was nice that we could cook a meal. A nice space though the apartment. The staff was helpful.
Review 135:Building noise outside the apartment very loud in the morning . No apartment parking had to park on the road.
Review 136:Close to everything in the city centre. Very clean and staff very helpful.
Review 137:Oven would not work! Double bed matress in our room way too soft resulting in you rolling into the middle. For some reason got some interference on the Tv channel.
Review 138:Handy central location. Plenty of space. Clean. Bristol great city to visit. Value for money.Tea and coffee tray good.
Review 139:Little things like bbc TV wouldn't work on two days. Couldn't get into wifi on last day. Perhaps more than one key would help if it is a family staying.
Review 140:Able to relax and cater for ourselves. Easy to come and go. Friendly staff.
Review 141:Wi-fi was quite expensive. only very limited private parking available, although this isn't advertised when booking. Therefore had to park on nearby local car park and had to purchase new ticket before 9am so no lie in.
Review 142:Apartment was lovely and spacious for two couples. Within easy walking distance of shops, theatres, restaurants and harbour. Large fridge and freezer. Security was very good.
