Reviews for Arbois Bettex

Review 1:Bad communication when booking. I was sent someone else's confirmation e-mail from the hotel. Friendly staff but few staff speak English on reception which can be slightly frustrating.

Review 2:A brilliant location to ski from - everything on your doorstep. Spacious rooms. Lovely Spa to relax in after a day of skiing. Friendly staff in the restaurant and the best thing is the Cheese trolley! Yummy Sheep's cheese!!!! Would like to see what it is like in the summer.

Review 3:Spa rather expensive for quality. Nothing really for non-skioers

Review 4:Superb location for skiing. Cheerful staff. On half board, evening meal rather too much to eat!

Review 5:Think it was the most expensive beer I've ever drunk. Pricier than even Moscow which is some achievement!! Appearance of parts of the hotel was a bit tired, especially the balconies.

Review 6:The views are to die for!! Eating breakfast or lunch on the terrace with the view of Mont Blanc is pure fab. So relaxing we always took more time than we needed because you can just never tire of that view!! Time just passes you by!

Review 7:Described, legally correctly in postal terms, as in St Gervais. However, half way up mountain on wrong side of valley from where we needed to stay. Ensure you know where this hotel is exactly

Review 8:Wifi is mainly available in the breakfast room and very unstable in the room. We were in 2nd floor and most of the time we are disconnected.

Review 9:Amazing view from the room with the terrace. Friendly staffs (by the way it's written in their back :D) Silent room.

Review 10:The location isn't central. Not ideal for backpackers to access after a long day when transport is very limited.

Review 11:Everything. The food was lovely, the staff were helpful, to room was clean & comfortable. The pool was perfect temperature. Would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy the spa properly.

Review 12:Very minor issues with the room, only one working power socket, not all of the lamps worked and shower head had no wall bracket.

Review 13:The staff were great, the location is stunning and the facilities are excellent.

Review 14:When we made our June reservation, we told them we would be arriving by train and asked for directions. We were instructed to take a bus to the gondola, which would take us directly to the hotel. After waiting in vain for a bus, we ultimately learned, however, that the gondola does not run in June. We were forced to take an expensive cab. That was not great.

Review 15:The location is pastoral and quiet and has spectacular reviews.

Review 16:Its a tired chalet hotel in a great location. The restaurant and spa are ok but not great. Probably best for younger families and skiing. Other wise as an overnight it's fine.

Review 17:The Views are amazing and its right next to the cable car station.

Review 18:The hotel has no lift and you are expected to carry your own luggage up the stairs. Similarly, during the ski season you must carry your own luggage from the nearest vehicle drop off to the hotel. The buffet breakfast is set out in a narrow room next to the restaurant which feels cramped.

Review 19:Reception were friendly and the view from the hotel is stunning. The location right next to the ski lift is perfect. Good restaurant for dinner.

Review 20:Nothing really.

Review 21:On the mountain location, room had amazing view of Mont Blanc. Lovely staff and great food Cosy restaurant for dinner, with log fire Spectacular views in breakfast lounge Airport transfers, ski hire and lift passes all provided.

Review 22:Great View Friendly Staff

Review 23:Excellent location. Wonderful views. Lovely food in the restaurant with excellent service from the waiters.

Review 24:The breakfast seemed a bit of a con.

Review 25:We had ajoining rooms with our grandson, which is what I asked for. Good

Review 26:Nice enough hotel. Just difficult to get to if you have no car, and arrive after the last cable car.

Review 27:Nice cheap price in summer

Review 28:Location--friendly efficient staff Spectacular view from balcony Excellent food--above expectation for 3star

Review 29:A bit remote, difficult to find Shower can't be fixed to wall

Review 30:Friendly staff Great view at Mont Blanc from balcony Nice pool Clean room

Review 31:Wifi only on the ground floor, a little too noisy and you cannot get a siesta in the afternoon.

Review 32:The location

Review 48:Not a lot not to like the only grumble would be some of the food choices for the younger children.

Review 49:The location was perfect for ski in ski out and the staff at reception very helpful.

Review 50:No lift - not really an issue but noticed after a day on the slopes! Restaurant a little pricy but good service and great food.

Review 51:Fantastic location right on the slopes. No lift queue. Spa lovely after a days skiing. Staff great. Good restaurant. Nice rooms and bathrooms. Really friendly and helpful.

Review 52:A bit of a worrying drive up the mountain but well signposted

Review 53:Lovely views, comfortable beds, welcoming atmosphere, lovely walks and scenery all around, exceptional location. Helpful restaurant staff, great fondue

Review 54:It's a suprisingly long drive up the mountain, so account for that (20-25 mins). The hot tub was not working correctly (only 33 deg, not very hot).

Review 55:The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner with a lovely view of Mont Blanc. My daughter loved the pool--slightly heated, so it was the perfect temperature for summer.

Review 56:It is a long distance ( 14 km ) from Saint Gervais les Bains. But, thehotel is located in the mountains...and that's a reason for thislong distance.

Review 57:Everything is great ! Wonderfull location, with an amazing Mont Blancview, good conditions, and very good staff ! We'll come back !

Review 58:The sauna was a bit on the small side and the shower could've used a hook with which to hang the shower head (had to be hand-held).

Review 59:Everything was nice, from the balcony view of Mont Blanc to the firmness of the beds.

Review 60:Too many children, think it was half term.Disappointing coffee at breakfast.

Review 61:Good position, very helpful staff
