Reviews for Hotel Rastoni
Review 1:It always seem to short time to stay there ;)
Review 2:The view, the garden, the arrangement of the rooms, the staff, the cleanliness, the quietness...the everything!
Review 3:Hotel Rastoni is a pleasant stroll from the town centre and local beach, beautifully located in a lush peaceful garden where guests can relax overlooking the Kolona archaeological site and sea view. The hotel offers spacious cool rooms, comfortable beds, very clean and well maintained furnishings. Buffet breakfasts are excellent, good selection including fresh bakery products, fruits, cheeses and meats. The manageress, Dagmar, is a wonderful host - very helpful and knowledgeable about the island with suggestions for trips and activities, but never intrusive. We spent four days at the hotel with a group of friends, and it was truly one of our best holidays. We hope that we can return again soon!
Review 4:Comfortable room and bed. Gardens lovely and very nice choices at breakfast. The manageress was always helpful and I'm sure we will visit again.
Review 5:Wifi connectivity was low especially in the room
Review 6:The place was great. Location amazing and view spectacular. Loved it. Having breakfast in the garden was an experience.
Review 7:No window/natural light in the room unless you leave the front room open (& could not as ground floor). Very poor dim lights inside (& some not working). Bathroom could do with some updating.
Review 8:Close to town, lovely garden, pleasant staff.
Review 9:No negatives at all
Review 10:The situation was very convenient. The manageress was more than helpful and extremely friendly. The room was perfect with a wonderful sea view. We couldn't have asked for more
Review 11:The breakfast was lovely with a great choice of food. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Close to town but tucked away enough for a big of piece and quiet.
Review 12:We had no problems.
Review 13:Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was beautifully picturesque. It was peaceful and relaxing and only 10 min walk from centre of town.
Review 14:Everything was good!
Review 15:The German manager was wonderful; she was so friendly, helpful and efficient. The decor and maintenance of the building and gardens were excellent...what a beautiful place!
Review 16:The room was comfortable and the views from the balcony lovely to the Apollo's temple and the sea and Peloponnesos in the distance. The gardens where we had our lovely breakfast was very beautiful. The walk to town was easy.
Review 17:The wi fi was weak in the room and some noise from passing cars outside. Perhaps better sound-proofed main doors could be considered.
Review 18:Beautiful building and design, very helpful and friendly staff. We loved the family room with the loft part for our two 14-year olds. The sea views from our balcony were wonderful. Nice buffet breakfast with lots to choose from and just a 5 min walk from the harbour and centre of town.
Review 19:Was charged £4 for breakfast - was not expecting that.. I would have gone out to a cafe and had a more substantial breakfast had I known.
Review 20:My room had an excellent view from the balcony over the Kolona ancient site as well as stunning sunsets. Wifi doesnt work all that well.
Review 21:Cleaning could have been a little better. Small bathroom. WiFi very poor inside, as often is the case in concrete/brick buildings, but on the balcony it was good.
Review 22:Garden, view to the sea and surroundings, buildings and rooms were very nice. Short walk to town, beaches, and everything else. Quiet and peaceful.
Review 23:Everything was simply great! More than expected! It's a "must-come-back" place! The roomwas excellent, quiet, with wonderfull sea view - the sunset did help! - and the staff really friednly and helpful!
Review 24:Nothing.
Review 25:Hotel Rastoni presents a pleasant "good feeling" atmosphere. From our balcony the view of the Temple of Apollo and the Saronic Gulf greeted us each morning. The lush gardens in the courtyard in which we ate our truly sumptuous breakfast, the spotlessly clean rooms boasting comfortable beds and the Balinese decor added to the hotel's charm. A ten minute walk finds you at the beach, near the port, tavernas and shops. Dagmar and Lucinda showed us every consideration. A perfect place in a perfect corner of the world. We will be back.
Review 26:nothing, could have used a swimming pool, but then the beach is not far away.
Review 27:Friendly reception and helpful. Great breakfast outside in the garden. Clean and tidy room.
Review 28:Been to Aegina several times but this hidden gem eluded me. It is at the center of town walking distance to everything but far enough for peace and calm at night. The garden patio is beautiful and relaxing and you spend your entire trip there if you want some good quiet. Won't stay anywhere else if I go back and the manager was beyond welcoming. Thanks!!!!!
Review 29:Bathrooms will soon be in need of an update. They are still better than average, but not as lovely as the rooms.
Review 30:Superb location, beautiful view from the balcony and only a short distance to local beach. A lovely boutique hotel, I would absolutely stay again.
Review 31:This is a beautiful hotel, with beautiful views of the sea, a very nice garden, great breakfast, and helpful staff. It is easy to walk to restaurants, supermarkets, and the beach. I would visit Aegina again just to stay at this hotel. There is great attention to detail in the design of the rooms, the layout, and the furnishings. The garden is great for kids and adults. Very quiet at night.
Review 32:My only complaints about the hotel are that the showers are small and the water temperature inconsistent and the feet of the bed protrude at an odd angle making sure that every member of my family stubbed our toes painfully at least twice. Both are very minor complaints compared to the perfection of everything else!
Review 33:Hotel Rastoni is amazing, the garden and decor is absolutely perfect! Rooms are spacious and comfortable and with three people there was an upstairs loft that was perfect. The view from the rooms is amazing as well as breakfast in the garden. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Review 34:perhaps the mediocre nearest beach i can t think of anything else
Review 35:great location near to apollona's temple and 5 minutes walk to the town of aigina.fully eqiuped room with great view and big balcony for every room.great breakfast in the garden and parking for the customers.
Review 36:Nothing of significance
Review 37:The Rastoni is a small (12 bedroom) well-appointed hotel just a couple of minutes walk from Aegina town and harbour. It’s in a quiet location with a large garden where you can take your breakfast or just relax during the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is free WiFi throughout the hotel. There is also ample on site car parking. The manager, Dagmar is very friendly and helpful and made our stay one of the best we’ve had in Greece.

Review 68:Everytbing was great!
Review 69:Great hotel with comfortable room, large verandah with a wonderful view to the sea and archeological site. Nice breakfast served in a lovely garden full of flowers and vegetation. A place to relax very close to center and harbour, 10 minute walk.
Review 70:The locaion turned out to be even better we'd expected. If you're coming to the place from the port it is better to go along the quay and turn right at the first street you see after you begin following the fence of the archeological site (the Apollo's temple). The first you see at the hotel is the wonderful garden with a great number of cosy places - with sofas, arm-chairs and so on. It is really pleasant to spend time there relaxing at hot midday or watching moon at night. The rooms are also very pleasant - they are very big and comfortable with large balconies, each room is designed in its style (ours was in Japaneese style). What is more - there are both air-conditioner and a large fan so that you could choose either lower temperature or fresh air and open windows as you like. On the recepion you could enjoy a piece of ancient wall left for wathching (it was found during the archeological works). We like the hotel very much and would like to return there.
Review 71:The hotel is a delight. We had a garden room, beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. The views from upper rooms were stunning, but walking straight out into the amazing garden were our preferred option. Excellent breakfast, extremely helpful owner who arranged car hire for us. Highly recommended.
Review 72:Not hotels fault, but was badly bitten by mosquitoes - Take some repellent!
Review 73:Beautiful view from Balcony. Lovely Gardens for enjoying breakfast. Spacious comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. 5 minutes walk from Aegina town and ferries. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Review 74:The view was amazing. Breakfast was fresh and the outside courtyard a perfect setting to start your day. The hostess was extremely helpful and accommodating. A definite return destination.
Review 75:En suite bathroom was a little basic. Only serves breakfast, no other meals
Review 76:Beautiful gardens to have breakast in. Lovely view of the sea in the distance from our bedroom balcony. Friendly, helpful staff In quiet location and in easy walking distance of ferries
Review 77:What a great place to stay. Very nice staff, a great and quiet location close to the port. Very nice rooms and a nice breakfast served in the lovely garden.
Review 78:Great breakfast included which I enjoyed sipping coffee from the gardens or maybe one last cup on my balcony overlooking the ocean. Staff was fantastic and friendly.
Review 79:No problems, except that wifi signal was a bit weak
Review 80:Dagma was very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms with very nice gardens at the back. Probably one of the best hotels in the area.
Review 81:The hotel was in a very private location yet very accessible from the village and marina. Rooms are spacious and have a great private balcony. Staff were cheerful and helpful and the breakfast was good and served in a lovely conservatory looking onto the extensive gardens surrounding the hotel. Free Wifi was available which was a pleasant surprise.
Review 82:I had a minor difficulty about finding the hotel when I first arrived; I wish there was a sign on the corner of the street, just for the first time guests.
Review 83:Rastoni is located in a beautiful garden full of pistachio trees. Rooms are wide, comfortable and have an amazing view of the sea. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was delicious. I would describe my stay as "heavenly".
Review 84:Fresh orange juice, freshly filtered coffee, and a slightly wider choice of food would have taken breakfast to the 5 star level!
Review 85:Hotel Rastoni was a short easy walk from the Port, and we were immediately welcomed and taken to our room (despite arriving a little earlier than 'check in' time). When the shutters were opened for us, the view was breathtaking! As we took a room for 3, we were impressed by the 'upstairs' accommodation for the 3rd member of our party, giving some privacy. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and practical (with kettle, glasses, crockery and fridge), the balcony provided gorgeous views (and had a bamboo blind to provide some shade) and the gardens were secluded, with a range of comfortable seating, with lovely shaded areas. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Review 86:No complaints whatsoever
Review 87:The Rastoni is beautifully designed. The building is very well integrated into the landscape. The room we had was splendid and the balcony view of the sea and mountains was spectacular. Also the lady who owned/managed the hotel was a gem.
Review 88:Meticulous attention to ambience and detail, luxurious feel to everything, from teakwood furnishings to lush garden area. Spectacular setting: the bay and Colonna archaeological site in view from our balcomy.
Review 89:uphill walk from town
Review 90:upstairs room with view to the bay and town, nice garden setting for breakfasts, helpful and obliging staff with personal touch, rooms very spacey. close to town.
Review 91:I would like to have stayed more!
Review 92:Everything was perfect!!! We relaxed and enjoyed our time in Rastoni Hotel and Aegina Island! It's the ideal place for holidays, for it's really clean, classy, the staff is helpfull and so friendly (Dagma is great!) and the design and furniture are unique!
