Review 1：The temperature in the breakfast room was a little cold.

Review 2：Very friendly and helpfull staff, excellent central location, really nice and plentifull breakfast.

Review 3：Only downside is the open concept shower. The whole bathroom was soaked and leaked in to the room. The bathrooms are nicely remodeled but the design is terrible.

Review 12：I have stayed at the hotel Vauban twice now whilst visiting my daughter at the university in Besancon. It's a very nice modern,comfortable and welcoming place and the owner is very friendly and helpful. I'll be staying there again when I go out to bring my daughter home. The rooms are very nice. All modernised with excellent facilities and comfortable beds. The hotel has 2 restaurants which open out onto the main square and both are very good,the pizzas at Vesontio are delicious. It's also right in the middle of the town with lots of shops, bars and cafes all around. Would recommend it 100%

Review 15：Excellent location, ultra-helpful personnel, ready to give you those infos you need but you don’t know to ask about (e.g.: use the elevator to go directly to the restaurant, at -1). Clean room, well equipped with anything you need (coffee-maker, coffee and tea, included). A classic aspect, reminding you about good, old times. Friendly atmosphere, nice breakfast.

Review 16：The breakfast lets this hotel down. €10 per person! Really not much choice and it is not refilled so if you are last down there is practically nothing left. Saying that,,the nice owner did go out and get me fresh croissants one day when there were none left at all and I asked if he had any more. I would say don't bother with breakfast ,go out and have it in a nearby cafe who all have the most delicious pastries!

Review 18：Maurice, the hotel owner, epitomized the art of hospitality. He offered accurate advice, varied his menus, shared the unusual vin jaune, and much more. His professionalism and humour helped make my stay memorable. The room, its furnishings and the view from the window provided calm, comfort and contemplative moments viewing the early morning beauty of the river Doubs. I was lucky to find this place - highly recommended.

Review 19：It could be very noisy,with Students drinking in the pubs,and bars.To the early hours.Difficult to sleep sometimes.My room had no tea or coffe making facilities,There was suppose to be a Mini Bar,but the Hotel Manager said he had problems,with the cooling system.The other rooms had tea and coffe making facilities.I was not pleased,so I changed rooms.So I had tea and coffe making facilities.

Review 53：The hotel does not have own parking and is in a pedestrian zone. The amenities were scarce and the hotel was trying not to change towels or provide additional soap throughout the stay, probably trying to save money on that; quite annoying, really.

Review 54：The small hotel is surprisingly modern with clean rooms and good isolation. The hotel is right in the center of the city, in a pedestrian zone, good for jogging and dining out. A large public parking is at a supermarket nearby. The breakfast is good, custom dishes are available on request. The Internet is fast.
