Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:Wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast and cakes for a snack. Lots of home made food including jams compote cakes and bread. 1st class service. Fabulous highly recommended.

Review 39:Intermittent power in the shower.
Review 40:Excellent location to enjoy the New Forest sights. We enjoyed being able to walk into the village for our evening meal.
Review 41:It is a cosy B&B located in the heart of the beautiful New Forest. It is a lovely little Base to return to after a day exploring. Trish and Ian were perfect hosts who accommodated all of our wishes.
Review 42:Wi fi was hit and miss. Needed the laptop but only had about 30 minutes of internet during our stay.
Review 43:Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great location
Review 44:Trish the owner of the B&B made us very welcome indeed nothing seemed too much trouble and we would have no hesitation in recommending Wayside Cottage to our family and friends
Review 45:The new owners are a lovely couple, the breakfasts were superb and the room and bed excellent. The location is very good and the local pub The Queens Head do fantastic meals.
Review 46:Tired décor moderately furnished pretty ordinary breakfast .Gave impression of being preoccupied with maximising profit Thought represented poor value for money. Could not see any justification for very good ratings given by others . The tea making facility very poor . We were only remaining guests on second day and this was reflected in the breakfast .Very disappointing. Road littered with pot holes.
Review 47:Gardens attractive,
Review 48:Upon arrival hosts very welcoming, we sat in the courtyard with a cup of team and homemade cake! The rooms are lovely, very clean and beds are so comfy! The breakfasts are really yummy meaning I are way too much at breakfast. They do have dogs which I loved they were adorable. All in all it was fantastic and a brilliant location
Review 49:We would have liked fresh milk in the room as the long life milk did not make for a tasty cup of tea.
Review 50:The lovely room and comfy bed. The tea and cake in the courtyard on arrival. Home made bread jam and marmalade.
Review 51:Phone signal very patchy
Review 52:pleasant clean room. Amazing cooked breakfast with homemade bread and preserves. Wonderful location horses meandering in the lane when I arrived..
Review 53:Wifi unfortunately wasn't working and the milk in the room made the tea and coffee taste odd.
Review 54:Lovely house in an excellent location. Really good breakfast with locally sourced and home made food. Would definitely go back.
Review 55:My stay was too short!
Review 56:The location was brilliant, Beautifully clean and comfortable. Nice to have a guest sitting room. The breakfast was superb. I can honestly say J& J West have thought of everything. The best B& B I have stayed in!
Review 57:The cottage is lovely and the Janet and John were very welcoming, food was lovely, homemade bread & preserves for breakfast. Easy walk into the village. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed and it was so comfortable. Would definately go back as Burley is one of our favourite places.
Review 58:Being unaware there were dogs living at the property, (not a problem to me , but one of my party does not like dogs)
Review 59:Closeness to the village of Burley (5min walk). Being able to select my own breakfast requirements daily Guest Lounge available in this B & B
Review 60:The shower was quite unenthusiastic.
Review 61:Breakfast - good, local food and well prepared. Wonderful welcome - tea and cake when we arrived and made to feel at home. Lovely big bed and spacious room.
Review 62:I like dogs but they had two of their own and another two of their friends that they were looking after. They are not allowed in the guest areas but did go in the kitchen, where the breakfast is prepared and in the hall areas which left a very little doggy smell. I'm not sure everyone would be pleased with that.
Review 63:The quality of the B&B was excellent, clean, tidy, with thoughtful accessories. The owners were efficient and able to have a chat, although they were full and obviously busy. The beds were very comfortable (we had the two singles as I was travelling with my daughter). There was complimentary tea making supplies in our room and bathroom smellies of many types at our disposal. On arrival we were given a tray of tea and cake to have either in the garden or the lounge which was a lovely touch. All my communications prior to our stay were instantly responded to - I was just checking our booking was OK. I would definitely stay again if in the New Forest and would highly recommend it to others.
Review 64:You have to like dogs.
Review 65:Very good choice of breakfast, plenty of home-made items/'locally sourced food. Central for lots of places we wanted to go. Quiet location. Nice gardens to sit in and relax. Plenty of car park space. Comfortable bed and a bath.
Review 66:Charming and welcoming hosts with best behaved dogs we've ever met. Lovely house, comfy beds, fabulous breakfasts using lots of local product and picturesque village and forest on the doorstep. What's not to like.
Review 67:The shower in our room. Took ages to get it just right. Needs updating to an electric one. Sorry, but it is only one negative.
Review 68:The location was perfect for me as I know the forest very we'll. the village where the cottage is located is beautiful with plenty of little shops, coffee places etc. The cottage itself is just idyllic and john and Janet were perfect hosts. Breakfast was lovely with lots of home made products.
Review 69:The fact that we had to leave.......
Review 70:The conviviality , cleanliness , efficiency and feeling of well-being all suggests this is a first class B & B. And it is! We haven't encountered any better - you have this "I must come back again" feeling. The cottage is lovely and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. We thoroughly recommend the Wayside Cottage. In short we cannot praise this B & B enough! John & Janet (and the lovely dogs) are very amenable ; our stay was perfect!
Review 71:to many dogs roaming around, not hygienic, hard towels, table where kettle stood was so low,no good if you have back problems, not very good welcome by john.
Review 72:the location
Review 73:No wifi reception in the bedroom. Poorly cooked and tasteless breakfast. Not a very friendly reception by the owners
Review 74:Comfortable and clean. Good bathroom facilities.
Review 75:Lovely cottage B&B with friendly welcoming owners. Offering a comfortable room with all that you need. Fantastic choice of breakfast, locally produced, home made breads and preserves. We don't normally stay in a B&B as always feel you are intruding in someone's house (sorry if that sounds strange!) but Wayside Cottage was well laid out and has changed my view. Great stay. Would recommend.
Review 76:Could have done with a reminder to make toast when waiting for the lovely cooked breakfast as I had to toast it once the food arrived and the toaster was quite slow. A table spoon serving of beans with full English breakfast is not enough.
Review 77:Being greeted and getting a fresh coffee and cake
Review 78:1. bathroom shower - no water pressure, hopeless for showering or washing hair this in both rooms 3 & 6. 2. only a 1/2 bath which had bath mat which was dangerous, I slipped on this and badly bruised my knee and hand, could have been a lot more serious. 3. Owners dogs left alone in property 3 evenings and barked continuously. 4. Our room was almost next to kitchen and noise after 7am while breakfast being prepared awoke us. 5. Wi-Fi in room 3 ok but in room 6 non-existent & TV in both should be upgraded so slow to work. We feel that due to the accident with the bath the owners should at least have offered some kind of compensation, all they did was remove the bath mat. We will not recommend this B&B
Review 79:Bed was comfortable and breakfasts were excellent.
Review 80:Nothing to unpack into Extra charges No mobile phone reception Inability to connect to wifi in room Attitude of some staff
Review 81:Tea & cake on arrival Lovely poached eggs at breakfast Comfortable sized room Modern bathroom with easily-accessible shower
Review 82:Nothing everything was great
Review 83:Everything about Wayside Cottage was excellent .From friendlyness, breakfasts , comfort & location.Every morning we woke to the aroma of freshly baked bread.Breakfasts were great with an extensive menu accompanied with homemade preserves and honey from their own bee's.
Review 84:Breakfast in the courtyard garden was great. The jam and marmalade is all home made and delicious! Wayside Cottage is very pretty and our room - no.2 - although small was nicely decorated and had everything we required.Burley is central for exploring the New Forest and the local pub is a pleasant walk away. A great couple of days.
Review 85:The owner, John, seemed irritated at having people there! Very strange for a b&b owner. We were not made to feel welcome.
Review 86:Lovely property, very clean
Review 87:Nothing - it was perfect
Review 88:Personal service from owners Courtyard garden - great for breakfast Homemade preserves, bread and locally sourced produce - all excellent standard and a real point of difference for us Location - ideal both for the New Forest and the beach
Review 89:only slight point water pressure in the shower was very low.
Review 90:lovely stay very comfortable only there for 1 night. Excellent breakfast although don't make the mistake I made and forget your bread in the toaster they have a very good smoke detector which I found out to my embarrassment.
Review 91:We stayed in room 4. The shower pressure was weak and the toilet took a while to refill. Our last morning at Wayside Cottage was marred by the rude manner in which one of the hosts corrected us when we thought we could order a special item (pancakes etc) + the regular breakfast. A simple mistake that can easily be nipped in the bud, but the harsh tone of words wasn't necessary. Rude to say the least
Review 92:Warm welcome Location - very quiet, close to Bournemouth and Brockenhurst.
Review 93:Everything ! Can't fault wayside cottage , I tried to get booked a week after we came home . It was full and I am not a bit surprised . It is the place to stay.
Review 94:Absolutely NOTHING!
Review 95:Tea & cake on arrival. A lovely, clean & comfortable room overlooking a pretty garden. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and so much to choose from! we even had the option of having breakfast in the very pretty courtyard as the weather was so good. John & Janet were perfect hosts.
Review 96:The whistling kettle! Difficult if you wanted to make a cup of tea and another guest was asleep. Surprised that their was no 'welcome pack' on arrival apart from tea bags, coffee & sugar. Not knowing the island at all and tired, it would have been nice to be able to make a cup of tea and eat a biscuit before trying to find shops which were some distance away.
Review 97:The peace and location of this property was wonderful. All that was needed was provided. Very comfortable, pleasant cottage and well furnished.
Review 98:We enjoyed the quintessential English cottage charm, especially the teapots! The room was exceptionally clean, and the breakfasts were well cooked and presented.
Review 99:There is nothing to dislike
Review 100:A beautiful cottage in the heart of the New Forest. The owners John and Janet make their guests feels at home and very comfortable. On arrival complimentary tea and cake was served in the garden. The room was excellent. Two local pubs The Burley Inn and the Queen's Head, tried both for evening meal. found Queen's Head cheaper and food slightly better. All in all an excellent venue, if you intend to stay in the New Forest then Wayside Cottage is the place to stay, no need to look further.
Review 101:The bedroom, although comfortable, was small and fixtures and fittings in the bathroom showed evidence of wear and were not securely attached. The shower was not clean when we arrived, there was hair in the soap dish. Whilst the hosts provided us with a warm welcome the house rules were constantly reinforced both verbally and in the notices around the property and we witnessed an uncomfortable exchange between guests and the owner over breakfast.
Review 102:The cottage is set in lovely gardens in a quiet and peaceful location which is central for all the New Forest attractions. We were greeted warmly by the owner with a pot of tea and a freshly baked cake which we were able to enjoy in the pretty garden. Our room was comfortable and the freshly cooked breakfasts made from local produce, including home made bread and preserves were excellent.
Review 103:The roaring fire in the lounge and homemade cakes and biscuits were great. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Review 118:very welcoming. lovely facilities. nothing was too much trouble. absolutely perfect. no hesitation in recommending it
Review 119:lovely b and b wonderful breakfast always a friendly welcome
Review 120:Bed a bit soft for us, room a little short of space for people with big suitcases.
Review 121:Breakfasts. Owners.
