Reviews for Hotel See-Villa
Review 1:When we arrived there was no one at reception. We found an employee from the dining room to check us in. Despite making note of our wheelchair use wen booking, we were allocated a room on an upper level of a building without a lift! On the plus side the wonderful employee who helped us sorted things out and got us a ground floor room. A rocky start never helps but a dedicated employee can turn things around.
Review 2:Beautiful spot on the lake - peaceful.
Review 3:Bed and the room and the bathroom were really small. I was happy to be a small person so I could fit :)
Review 4:View from my window was spectacular. I was in another century in my little room.
Review 5:One of the older reception ladies was not very friendly and what I would call "hochnäsig." Also, on most mornings when I was at the breakfast buffet, things had run out and weren't being replenished in a timely fashion, which was disappointing.
Review 6:The proximity to the lake was amazing--steps away. Some of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which was pleasant. Claudia at the reception desk, the massage lady, and a couple of the young waiters/waitresses were among them.
Review 7:The natural breathtaking beauty of Millstatt See is only surpassed by the warmth and friendliness of the staff and family that run the hotel. I was made to feel like part of the family - the only downside of which was that my self enforced wine detox had to be postponed for a couple of days so I could participate in the daily festivities. The rooms are beautiful with mine having a window which opened directly onto the lake - this meant I could sleep with the window open at night. There is a private jetty on the lake which means you can literally walk outside and jump in the late which is very quiet due to the lack of motor boats authorised to use it - this makes a big difference. I came to Millstatt as part of a road trip around Austria and the roads surrounding the hotel are some of the best I have driven in my life. Overall a fantastic stay and I would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and I look forward to going back sometime soon - maybe next week (seriously)!
Review 8:As the weather was extremely hot it was difficult to sleep - a fan would help with this.
Review 9:Ecellent location just at the lake side, great facilities with charm. Dinner at the lake side, excellent cuisine and great service!
Review 10:The views of the lake and mountains are spectacular. Everything about this place encourages relaxation. No one rushes you to do anything but there is much to do if you want.
Review 11:The bed does not match the quality and standards of the hotel. Too hard, to the extent that i did not have a good rest and a painful back. A pity considering fhe excellent hotel
Review 12:Servicibiility is the key word. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant is top quality. Rooms are traditional and romantic
Review 13:This resort hotel on the lake at Millstatt Austria is excellent. It has old world charm coupled with superlative accommodations and excellent dining. The on-line registration process was easy and fast. Hotel pictures were realistic. Check-in registration was excellent and the people were friendly. The hotel manager and his spouse greeted us warmly which was a nice touch. We stayed in a room on lake side which was very nice and quiet. The bathroom was very good with nice amenities expected in a spa resort. Signage to the hotel was easy. Wifi was good in the room and throughout the hotel. Parking is congested but free and within walking distance. We only stayed one night but could tell there are many recreational opportunities in the area. We had a wonderful evening meal in an upscale dining room. There was also outdoor dining but it was too cold. The hotel manager and spouse in traditional Austrian dress greeted us and everyone else who were dining. The piano player at dinner was great. Overall, given the opportunity, we would stay again at this very good Austrian Villa by the Sea.
Review 14:The friendly and warm welcome by the whole of the Tacoli Family and staff. It is refreshing to see a hands on well run Operation. The location is out of this world. The variety and the food presentation excellent. We booked for eleven days and enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Review 15:Beautiful building, perfect location right next to the lake, very good service. The hotel is run by the owners themselves, the family of Count Anton Tacoli.
Review 16:The service is just enough, to dine in the restaurant (set menu) can take up to an hour and 45 minutes! Unthinkable! Hotel organizes weddings and if it happens guests have trouble noises and can not utilize the garden.

Review 29:Can't complain about anything!
Review 30:Great accommodations. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 31:the food in the restaurant was ordinary and overpriced. We rejected a bottle of wine gone to vinegar and were charged for it ... 38.5 euros.
Review 32:The view over the lake from our second story room was excellent. the effort to retain some of the 19th century flavor , while admirable, results in a cramped bathroom.
Review 33:Great room with lake view
Review 34:EVERYTHING> We had a great time. Millstatt and surroundings are great with lots to do!
Review 35:I am not a big fan of plastic plant, that's the only thing that annoyed me
