Reviews for Hotel Inari

Review 1:Wifi connection in the room is not good, and a bit inconvenient if you want to check the status of the north light on-line.

Review 2:Staff is really friendly, the location is excellent very convenient. Can see the north light from the room.

Review 3:You can't expect too much or expect a better value of accommodation in Inari since it is a distanced area and hard to find any accomodations...

Review 4:Lake Inari is just few minutes away from the hotel. Good breakfast. Friendly staffs.

Review 5:This hotel is the best in Inari, nothing is no good

Review 6:Very convenient to get there because the bus stop is just outside the hotel. There is a large supermarket near this hotel and you can buy almost anything you need in travel in it. The restaurant is just great with reasonable price. Finally, if you are the northern light chasers, this hotel is perfect to you because the Lake Inari is just next to this hotel and you can see clear & strong northern light at there.

Review 7:Lots of guests were up and down all night. Did not get any sleep so much noise. If you want to see northern lights perfect, if you want to sleep check that the place is not full of young aurora gazers as they will keep you awake all night running up and down

Review 8:Great food. Nice location. Nice staff

Review 9:Having our own sauna in our room was awesome. The location was great because we did adventure stuff with the company right next door (would also recommend), and the grocery store across the street was handy. The room was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was great and the bar area was a great place to relax.

Review 10:Nothing much can complain but just unfortunately couldn't see aurora for that 2 nights

Review 11:Clean and comfortable, there's a supermarket just opposite to the hotel, the breakfast they provided are not bad too

Review 12:Absolute no

Review 16:lake view. can see aurora in the room. grear location. helpful staff. restaurant is nice. great breakfast. sauna room is spacious, new and comfortable

Review 17:Staff are nice and helpful. It was located just next to a supermarket and lake inari, very convenient to see aurora by the lake. The restaurant was great too.

Review 18:Any

Review 19:Finally I met aroura during my visit in Inari. Besides aroura, I enjoyed my stay in Hotel Inari as well. The service, the food, the facilities were very good value for money. I will revisit in winter.

Review 20:It would have been nice if sauna was included in price. No lift so dragging luggage was a nuisance, minor one. Price was a bit high for low season and considering that it included only room and breakfast.

Review 21:Location was good and staff was mainly very friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was tidy and comfortable. We did not eat in restaurant, but it looked nice.

Review 22:The mosquitoes. Nothing the hotel could do about that though.

Review 23:Everything. Our room was in the annex and had wonderful views across the lake. The room was large and almost new. Excellent bathroom. Secure ample parking. The food in the restaurant was superb and reasonably priced. The staff couldn't have been better.

Review 24:Hotel is directly on the E75, with quite some heavy traffic and thus buzzy environment.

Review 25:Very friendly staff that were very helpful. A nice and clean room and a good restaurant for dinner. Better quality than one would expect in such small town as Inari.

Review 26:The location mentioned is not next to the musuem - but it is at the bus stop.

Review 27:Nice clean and quiet room overlooking the lake. Restaurant on site. Inari is a very small town. Very friendly staff.

Review 28:Just a minor thing, but the sauna took a long time to get to temperature.

Review 29:The location of Hotel Inari is excellent, right on the lake side with good views. Our room was in the new wing, and was very comfortable and spacious with the bed being extremely comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good. Saw the Aurora Borealis from the frozen lake outside the hotel. The staff were efficient and helpful.

Review 30:- No Lift in main building , we stay at 3rd floor

Review 31:- Location is wonderful , very close to Lake , bus stop just in front of hotel - Nice Staff - Good for Northern Light

Review 32:There was a tour agent in the hotel. One night we joined their tour for Aurora hunting and took picture. At the end the guy promised to send us photo but at the end we did not recieve it :(

Review 33:Very comfortable and quiet hotel, newly renovated in a nice style. The owner and the staff are friendly and welcoming.Very convenient with the bar and restaurant which allow to eat from early morning to late evening.Good breakfast (and nice croissants). Supermarket in front. Nice view other the lake.Easy to step out the room and watch Northern lights whenever you want. I would also highly recommend VisitInari next door to book activities.

Review 34:as a famous hotel for north light view, it shall also have TV showing the trace of north light as Hotel Kultahovi does, so that we know when it is good time to see north light

Review 35:good location for north light.

Review 36:too soft bed the sauna room is not working at all the staffs there are a little too serious

Review 37:Fantastic location - easy transportation and nearby lake for aurora hunting Nice food of dinner

Review 38:Location: close to Siida, supermarkets and restaurants nearby, bus station right in the front A good place to escape. Can do nothing, or can join various activities nearby.

Review 39:none at the moment.

Review 40:The hotel is located next to the lake, so one can walk a short distance and wait for the auroral quietly on the dark frozen lake. Hotel staffs are all very friendly and helpful, one of the staff even offer to drive me northward after work, provided I pay for the fuel

Review 41:Nothing

Review 42:The location is perfect which is right in front if the lake, neighboring the tourist office and buses stops right there. The staff are very nice and can call you when Northern lights show up. The food is very good too.

Review 43:You may need to carry the luggage upstairs, wifi is a bit unstable.

Review 44:We stayed here for 3 nights at a room with sauna! The location is convenient, just right next to the bus stop! The room is clean & cozy, we were assigned a lake view room, we could see from the window when the aurora occured! The lake was the best place to view the aurora and we were lucky to see for 2 nights during our stay! I should highly recommend the restaurant, food was fresh & tasted above the standard at reasonable price! We couldn't stop having dinner at here for 3 consecutive nights! Should give a compliment to the chef! Also, the waiter was very friendly and he would notify you when there was aurora! Finally, you could join numerous activities through the hotel. Though a bit expensive, it worths because the experience was priceless! Recommend the husky sledge, we enjoyed a lot!

Review 45:Food variety not much in breakfast, no lift that was very inconvenient for girls like us carrying big heavy luggage; luckily the staff helped us to carry upstairs but we do downstairs by ourselves Better set some alarm light when the Aurora light occurs, as we are not arranged for lake view room so we have to always stay in lobby or even frozen outside at night to wait for the Aurora, but the fact is that always waiting is not work, when we waited for a while and back room to rest before waiting another round, the Aurora happened during our short break and we missed it ( luckily we could saw the Aurora light in the first night)

Review 46:Excellent location, some shops, cafe and a supermarket just right in opposite, staff are nice, stunning view both in day time and the Aurora light Bus stop in the hotel main door,

Review 47:The hotel is next to lake Inari, very clean, the bus stops here, supermarket just opposite, great activities. Great place for aurora. We got private sauna too.

Review 48:Wifi is a bit unstable, not much activty near the hotel beside the traditional thing like huskey ride or snowmoblie.

Review 49:We lived in Hotel Inari because it was a place that is recommended online to see the northen light. Hotel is in the middle of no where but the room is surprisingly modern and stylish with sauna room. We were lucky enough to see the northen light during our stay.

Review 50:The old man in the reception desk is rude and unpatience to the customers

Review 51:The food in the hotel restaurant is the best in Inari!! The location to watch the Aurora is super awesome!!

Review 52:little chance to have ground floor room and lake view room

Review 53:good location, everything can be found in walking distance, can watch northern light at lake nearby

Review 54:this hotel is located just right next to the lake and the shuttle bus from airport would stop by everyday. the hotel is fully equipped with everything you need but a bit pricey. overall, it's a hotel located in the center of Inari where you can eat, drink, get tour information, etc.

Review 55:The owner there was nice and helpful. The view was awesome in our room. The room was clean and well facillitated Good location and the bus from Ivalo airport stops in front of the hotel.

Review 56:breakfast was good but when items ran out they weren't replaced - so later in the morning the selection was poor. Service in the restaurant and bar not very friendly, not enough staff.

Review 57:lovely room with ensuite sauna and view over lake

Review 58:The bus station is just outside the door. The restaurant is really good and the breakfast as well. There's lots of activities to choose in the hotel and they can help to arrange your own trip as well.

Review 59:Nothing.

Review 60:The hotel is clean, modern & comfortable. Got to see the northern lights from the hotel area , did not have to walk onto the dark frozen lake. Staff very helpful. Our car would not start at the very low temperature. The manager went above & behind helping us getting the car heated & jump started. Excellent hotel .

Review 61:I went Inari with 2 friends via the Ivalo airport. The hotel owner arrange us to live in a cozy room with sauna and we were so surprised. The room are tidy and the staff are very nice. U can see the northern light on the frozen lake of inari. We joined some activities thought the hotel. It is really expensive but some of them are worth except ice fishing. Ice fishing cost $90euro but the guide just bring u to a frozen lake, drill a hole and fish for around 45 mins. However, the fishes are sleeping in the winter. So we can get any fish among the 6 people group. Btw, husky ridding(115euro) is nice and northern hunting( around 130 euro) are also nice. The guide will bring u to the border between Norway and Finland. U can take more beautiful photo than Inari lake since there are too many street light beside lake Inari.

Review 62:the wifi system has maximum capacity of 50 mobiles and 50 laptops. need a bit luck to connect when it's busy.

Review 63:great location, can see northern light right behind the hotel. Sauna in room. breakfast is good. lots of activities. easy to get to (bus, airport shuttles)

Review 64:Noise of plumbing Reservation system - availability not clear Rooms a bit cramped, little space Drunk people at breakfast

Review 65:Location Food No carpeted floors in the rooms

Review 66:- Would suggest to add a shower curtain, so the water will not spread out during taking a shower.

Review 67:- Everything. The town is small, but you can get all you need near by. - I saw the very beautiful Northern Light just on the lake Inari behind hotel. - Nice staff. I was leaving in the early morning at 7:15am, breakfast starts from 7:00am, but the staff is very kind and let me have breakfast at 6:45am, so I didn't need to rush. Highly recommend and I will come back again.

Review 68:The shower was very small, but we were offered to change the room in case we don´t like it already on checking in. we decided to live with it because of the excellent view.

Review 69:Our room with lake view allowed us to view and photograph northern lights directly from the terrace without having to go out into the cold. Room was very quiet and away from the road (wich is not busy anyway at that time of the year). Restaurant and Pub in the Hotel offered excellent food (finnish and international). We enjoyed fish and reindeer as well as pasta and pizza. Sauna was available on request (needed 1 hr preheating). The staff needed some time to warm up but in the end was friendly. We were even informed, when northern lights showed up on the sky. Parking was available in front of and beside the hotel (even with heating for our rental car).

Review 70:Promotional photos could do more justice to location

Review 71:Reasonably priced, central but quiet location on the main bus route, with rooms and dining area overlooking Lake Inari and the aurora if you are lucky! Friendly, helpful staff, well maintained, tasteful decor. Informal bar/cafe area open all day and good for snacks etc. Would definately stay here again and recommend to others.

Review 72:No lift, hard and tired to move our luggages to the room. Suggest to request the room at the ground floor. The sauna room located at the new building is good.

Review 73:The location is good, just next to Lake Inari. I did see Aurora all 3 nights when I stayed. The breakfast is good, and hotel was allowed us to having breakfast a little bit eariler as we catched up bus at 7:15am.

Review 74:Too much lights around the lake which lowered chance of seeing northern lights No lift Room a bit small

Review 75:Good location, bus stop and supermarket just outside, walking distance to SIIDA Good restaurant Staff's useful advice on where to chase northern lights - we drove abt 30km north and saw an explosion around midnight!

Review 76:Water leakage from shower place

Review 77:Convinent location right at the long distance bus stop. Great base to see Northern Lights. Our room was lake facing with private sauna, can easily see Northern Lights from room. Walking down to the lake was just 2 mins and you may even see the reflection of Northern lights from the lake. Great food and helpful staffs. Recommended.

Review 78:Despite being in front of the lake, many rooms have no view. The whole building was under work. Staff not very helpful for touristic matters.

Review 79:Good breakfast buffet and good restaurant.

Review 80:I did not like having to leave

Review 81:I was a single traveler, booked the cheap room, and was given an awesome room with a view of the lake. I was able to take photos from my room at 1:00 in the morning of the sun edging over the top of the distant mountain, sending rays of sunlight through the bellowing clouds; all done without a single mosquito bite. The room had a very nice picture window, which also allowed me to photo the thunder and lightning storm the next afternoon. The freshly caught lake trout dinner was the highlight of my food experience. The staff was so nice that I felt like I received special attention the entire time I was there.

Review 82:Food was excellent!! Large and comfortable room & bed Friendly personnel!

Review 83:Nothing, I like all

Review 84:Nice location, thoughtful service, comfortable room, good breakfast, great environment and bar and restaurant

Review 92:The choice of breakfast a little bit less

Review 93:Room with sauna. Its super cool. And the food of restaurant, its delicious.

Review 94:Great food here but breakfast included is common.
