Reviews for Tally Ho Inn

Review 1:Only one small bar of soap between us !

Review 2:It's such a beautiful location, the food and drink are excellent. The staff courteous and friendly and the rooms great.

Review 3:The slight downside is the hotel on top of a very steep hill and there is nothing else there, so if you want a drink its there or a 5 mile taxi ride.

Review 4:The room, shower, food, etc excellent. The staff are very welcoming and the view superb. Plenty of car parking spaces. Suited us down to the ground

Review 5:Room num 9, the bed thro was dirty, and there was pen marks on the sheet. Room num 5, under the kettle tray had not been cleaned

Review 6:Location, excellent food at dinner, breakfast

Review 7:It was folk night the day I stayed & I could here the music in my room. Location wasn't ideal as I work in droitwich and it took a while to get there as you have to go down many narrow lanes to get to it.

Review 8:Good value for money

Review 9:A little gem in the country! A remote village with very friendly locals ad a lively scene at the bar. The food was good and our room was superb, with a perfect disabled shower which I had requested.

Review 10:The Inn had a lovely atmosphere and the landlord Roy very welcoming, the locals were very friendly. It was the first time I have actually slept well thanks to the lovely comfy beds. The meals were lovely great desserts.

Review 11:Some of the locals do give you strange looks, especially if you go to pick up the "wrong snooker cue". It would appear that the bent ones are for the non regulars. However, away from the one or 2 that "don't like strangers in these ere' parts" the locals can be nice down the one end of the pub.

Review 12:The view from one of our rooms was amazing! Very rural. The staff are very helpful and polite. The food was all home cooked and no microwaves, all oven! Beautiful. The local beers are great also. The rooms are compact but everything is there and they are very well decorated.

Review 13:The only complaint I have is that the plumbing was noisy in the adjacent rooms

Review 14:good food and beer a nice traditional pub the first time I have found a modern working TV in the room

Review 15:For a 2 night stop-over this was a convenient venue. All services were very good especially late night sandwiches as we missed dinner due to later arrival. accom. clean and well appointed.. Revisit is very likely

Review 16:A beautiful view, an impeccably clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, good cooking and a truly great price! The pub was excellently isolated from the accommodation so there was not the slightest noise problem. A definite must for any future visits.

Review 17:We were made most welcome by staff and customers, nothing was to much trouble, this was our second time of staying and we will definitely stay there again

Review 18:The Inn did not need updating (this would detract from its age) however, it needed freshening up with a little paint both inside and out.

Review 19:The Inn had such character and set in peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

Review 20:Not a bad experience, breakfast was fine but dining room needed a jolly good clean, I do think it was quite a steep tariff though.

Review 21:Bar meal was good and good value, my dog was welcome in the bar but (and perfectly understandably) not allowed in room, not a problem to me.

Review 22:The room was both comfortable and contemporary. The veggie breakfast was excellent, served by very friendly staff. We were impressed with the free Wi-Fi, which we made use of. We would certainly consider a return visit.

Review 23:One member of the bar staff seemed short in temperament but was fine in long run

Review 24:Absolutely wonderful, a very warm friendly local pub. Accommodation was small but delightful didn't need to be more. Food was exceptional and very good value for money. A stars all round

Review 25:Loosing at darts to Roys Grandson........!! :(

Review 26:Initially I was a bit dubious about booking into an Inn as I usually stay in hotels, however, this place is excellent. Roy, Gemma & all the locals treated us as though we were regulars, great night had by all. Also great location if you're playing at Sapey Golf club.

Review 27:Room could have done with a quick hoover, but otherwise faultless.

Review 28:I was very comfortable at The Tally Ho Inn. Quiet location, suitable for a good night's sleep. Good en-suite facilities. Good breakfast with fabulous views over the countryside from breakfasting area. Friendly staff,

Review 29:wifi was excellent in rooms but not in the bar. Although I was told whilst checking out that there's a different wifi in the bar area but this info was not readily available any where.

Review 30:Food Beds cleanliness of rooms Friendly staff

Review 31:Driving narrow country lanes winding to the location were a challange but not a deterrent.

Review 32:Late hours reception, meals available to 8.30-9pm, generous breakfasts

Review 33:Room over looking the recycling bins & wrecked car. Smears on bedroom walls??

Review 34:Good choice of menu. Delicious well presented food. Extensive breakfast menu at no extra cost. Friendly staff. Lovely views from dining room.

Review 35:There was nowhere to sit that was comfy It.would be nice if there was a lounge overlooking those views .

Review 36:friendly host and staff .bedrooms clean; food lovely . view s amazing .

Review 37:The bed was a little too hard but that was compared with home! There can be some overnight noise from fans or other electric apparatus. That would make it very hard to sleep with the window open in my room which was over the front access to both pub and accommodation!

Review 38:Welcome, staff and food all brilliant.

Review 39:Would have liked more variety of marmalade!!

Review 40:Quiet location with wonderful views. Old inn but new accommodation wing. Good unpretentious food freshly cooked.

Review 41:Bedroom view overlooking rubbish and carpark.

Review 42:Hosts/staff very friendly. Food amazing, had evening meal the best Shepherds pie !!!! Comfy clean rooms, water pipes noisy but everything else lovely. Great views from restaurant at the back, watch the sun go down. Full english breakfast lush x

Review 43:Even though their website do not mention food they have a lovely menu served till 9pm and the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the view from room 5 was beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

Review 44:So much more could be done to bring the pub and the restaurant decor to the same standard as the bedrooms, whilst keeping and enhancing the original features and character of the pub. Poor cleanliness with cobwebs, greasy dust on lampshades and hundreds of dead flies on the blinds in the conservatory! Very poor view from bedroom window looking onto smoking shelter, especially as we were staying five nights and knew there were beautiful views to the rear. Our son had equally poor views over car park and scrap metal left at front! Asked if we could have room with view but told they were full. Hard to tell but going on places set for breakfast, not all rooms appeared to be occupied!

Review 45:Bedroom accommodation good, fairly new decoration, absolutely fine. Food was surprisingly good even after seeing my negative views of the restaurant decor.

Review 46:The feeling you get as you walk in the pub makes you feel its a little rundown so the rooms are a pleasant surprise

Review 47:Beds, shower, view, facilities, breakfast

Review 48:Advertised as 16:00 check in which could be inconvenient, however we rung when we made the booking and were allowed to get key earlier, and when we arrived at 12:00, the room was ready anyway, so we could get in early. This wasn't an issue for us however.

Review 49:Nice Breakfast, lovely view from the conservatory. Nice strong powerful hot shower, with large room.

Review 50:The dining room was a bit tired and could have done with redecorating and re vamping as well as the bar area.

Review 51:Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and room prices were excellent.

Review 52:Booked all drinks and meals to my room. This seem to be a problem with their bar staff and entering onto their system.Looking at my bill on return to my home I found an extra drink had been put on my bill. So check your bill.

Review 53:peace and quiet. good food but very large portions, unless you like large meals, good value.

Review 54:The cooked breakfast was very bland and a bit greasy, however on day 2 I had the ham & cheese 'continental' breakfast, which was lovely.

Review 55:The owner, Roy and the staff were great, my room was clean and well stocked with coffee/tea/biscuits etc. Quality bedding and F/S TV. Nice pub, could be described as old fashioned or quaint, lovely beer. Fantastic view from the beer garden.

Review 56:Whats NOT TO LIKE!

Review 57:From the lovely welcome, stunning views and great food, to the crisp bedding and wonderful shower! All hotels should be like this, nice simple clean and lovely x

Review 58:1. We arrived late; 8-30 pm and were told at 9 that the kitchen was closed and there was no food. I have no problem with that; our fault for not asking when we arrived. However to then see the bar staff disappear into the kitchen and return with ice cream for their friends is rather annoying. 2. To go to pay the next morning and find we are being charged for other peoples food from the previous night is not on, especially considering item 1; check your bills carefully.

Review 59:The room was clean and comfortable. A nice selection of beer in the bar and a fantastic view from the garden over the valley. We had a room with the car park view, which other people have commented on, so wasn't unexpected. For the price the accommodation is nice
