Reviews for Talbot Inn
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Extremely comfortable room and bed. Real coffee and flask of cold milk provided. We were so well looked after and the breakfast was perfect. We hope to return next time we are in the area
Review 3:Noting not to like
Review 4:The staff couldn't have been kinder, there service was excellent, the food was absolutely lovely, the bedroom great - it would be great to be there in the winter too, the place lends itself to roaring fires!
Review 5:When we checked into our room the toilet hadn't been cleaned - under the seat was very dirty - my husband cleaned it, as we'd already asked the cleaner to come in beforehand and vaccuum as there were bits of clothing tags and fluff everywhere. The cleaner did vaccuum gladly once we asked her to do so, but we think she'd been preparing another room. Perhaps just a mix up or confusion with which room needed preparing ?? The linen was spotless and the bed pristinely made, so to be fair we don't think there was a lack of attention to detail but more a miscommunication with the cleaner and staff booking the room.
Review 6:The bed was amazing! Room 7 was quiet and with gorgeous decor.
Review 7:The room had not been cleaned enough, I have stopped here before so can compare. There was broken glass under the bed. The mirror was not cleaned. There was cup stains on the bedside table. Please don't think I am being picky. A combination of these things, made me feel like it wasn't cleaned enough from the previous guest the night before.
Review 8:I like the comfortableness of the place. It feels homely. Bed lovely and comfortable. Loved the bathroom.
Review 9:There was no ware to put a suitcase in the room, the TV was very small. There was also a lot of noise coming up from the bar/restaurant area. The HPA from the bar was not well kept.
Review 10:Lovely building well appointed throughout the public areas and room.
Review 11:Traffic noise was very noticeable in the early morning. Lack of any wardrobe - there were 4 hangers on a wall mounted fixture. Not a problem for an overnight stay but might prove an issue if staying for longer.
Review 12:Friendly staff. Very attractive decor in the room. Comfortable bed, premium bedlinen. Very spacious bathroom. Everything well presented and very clean. Flask of fresh milk for tea/coffee was a nice touch.
Review 13:There were no eggs left at breakfast and they made no apology for the fact. Didn't even let us off the 2 glasses of wine we owed for.
Review 14:The area and very comfortable. Dinner was very nice.
Review 15:Bedroom was a little cold, though it didn't spoil any enjoyment what so ever
Review 16:Nice friendly atmosphere, very well looked after throughout or stay. Great location to explore the local area.
Review 17:Generously sized rooms, beautifully furnished with comfort and style in mind. Choose from a quiet dinner expertly crafted from local sources or a pint in the friendly in-house tavern. There is no reason to leave the premises once settled in! The inn manager, Barney, assures customer comfort and satisfaction through attention to detail.
Review 18:Sound proofing of the rooms could be better - could hear people talking in a nearby room, their TV.
Review 19:Lovely modern surroundings and quality facilities. Friendly attentive staff and lovely food.
Review 20:Noisy due to being located near a main road. Sewage overflowing in nearby carpark
Review 21:Nice room, pleasant building inside and out, friendly staff, great breakfasts!
Review 22:Our key did not fit well into the outside door and we thought we had been locked out when we returned at 11.45pm, but we made it work eventually!
Review 23:The staff The room The dinner and the breakfast
Review 24:Cracked tiles on bathroom floor, which is unnecessary they should be fixed as you can feel them with bare feet.
Review 25:Bed was comfortable.
Review 26:Small TV with only 2 working channels.
Review 27:Very nice atmosphere. Nice breakfast and good location for business in Tenbury
Review 28:Well modenised hotel retaining original features
Review 29:Would have preferred a wardrobe - but no problem for hanging clothes as a rail provided.
Review 30:Comfortable room and good food.
Review 31:Decor of the hotel, good food, amazing bar- We loved the local Robinsons of Tenbury Flagon cider!, easy parking, nice bedroom and bath

Review 34:Some road noise in my particular room
Review 35:Great food, and very nice local ale! Very comfortable bed

Review 37:Welcoming staff, pleasant room comfortably furnished.
Review 38:Food excellent
Review 39:Could not find anything to dislike.
Review 40:The staff could not have been more helpful. The meals both at night and breakfast were very good indeed. We would stay again and recommend to friends.
Review 41:We didn't dislike anything. If we could suggest an improvement it would be a full length mirror in the room and a rail in the bathroom for a hand towel. But that is being really picky.
Review 42:Everything was excellent, in particular the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend it.
Review 43:We enjoyed our short break with you. Very friendly staff good food and service. Room was very clean and comfortable. No bad points we would certainly come again if in the area, many thanks Paul.
Review 44:Everything was perfect!
Review 45:It was absolutely perfect. The staff were so attentive and considerate. The location for our visit to the Regal was ideal. The room we stayed in was so comfortable, we didn't want to leave!
Review 46:The duvet - but I never like them and much prefer the temperature control you can get from sheets and blankets.
Review 47:The situation, the building (very well upgraded recently) but especially the staff; all very helpful and friendly. The menu was pretty good and fairly priced..
Review 48:Booking was confused and although sorted out the rooms were still not as booked. However the staff took great care to sort out the errors and made us very comfortable. TV remote missing from room 6, light bulb not working in bathroom.
Review 49:Lovely rooms and very friendly staff Good food
Review 50:nothing
Review 51:This was an extremely warm and friendly place to stay. Room was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm on a cold day. Delicious food served with a smile. Nothing too much trouble.
Review 52:Could have done with a few more electrical sockets and a light over the dressing table. Feel a bit mean mentioning this very minor niggle, otherwise brilliant hotel.
Review 53:Lovely boutique hotel with restaurant and bar. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Rooms finished in restful colours, with very nice bathroom decor. Super comfy beds and pillows.
Review 54:As ardent mini break regulars, when we had a party to attend last Sunday in Hereford, we thought we would make the most of the lovely weather & find somewhere nice to stay in/around Worcester (as we have never been) & then travel on to Hereford on the Sunday. Trawling through the various choices of smart & boutique style hotels, we came across the Talbot Inn & were impressed enough to book a 2 night stay. We had a lovely weekend, made all the more pleasant by our choice of B&B. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the delightful manageress Holly. During our stay she was always so bright & cheerful & made us feel that nothing was too much trouble & very welcoming. As we had both been working the Friday we did arrive quite late & thought we would be too late for dinner & would go out for maybe a curry, but Holly welcomed us into the dining room & we had the most beautiful dinner. Service was excellent. The waitress Katie just as friendly & obliging as Holly. There were a good number of other diners, so the atmosphere was lovely & we were very comfortable. The food was superb. A lovely menu & even lovely things to indulge me, a fussy vegetarian! Roast veg lasagne with the finest home-made pasta sheets ever, melted in your mouth! Other half had salmon which he said was superb. Our room (lucky no 7) was very spacious. Decorated with lovely Farrow & Ball colours & beautifully furnished with co-ordinating heavy floral linen interlined curtains, pretty occasional chairs, throws & scatter cushions, all in a shabby chic style. Quite lovely. The bed had a fabulous mattress & sumptuous pillows that I likened to the plush beds you only seem to get in American hotels. It was only the heat from this unexpected heatwave that disturbed our sleep. The bathroom too can only be described as luxury, with a bath & separate large shower, with both a rain or regular shower head! Spoiled for choice!
Review 55:There were no biscuits in the room, I ordered porridge for breakfast andwas served the world's smallest portion of porridge with 5blueberries on top. Selection of fruit was poor. When I asked for coffeeI was expecting a small cafetiere but instead I received a small cup ofcoffee. The room was very hot (I did ask for a fan but the hotel did nothave any) and the road outside is noisy. Generally very expensive forwhat was on offer and did not feel like value for money. My room cost£95 (single occupancy).
Review 56:Very comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. The White Companytoiletries.
Review 57:More outside seating would be an advantage.
Review 58:Stayed twice now and found facilities spotless. Staff were so friendly and food first class.
Review 59:Had to ask for hair dryer. Plug too far from mirror. Minor !
