Located at 1,650 feet above sea level, the Bergheimat is a traditional 4-star hotel in Mühlbach am Hochkönig. It features a large spa area and access to many hiking trails. Each room offers a south-facing balcony overlooking the valley.
Decorated in an elegant Alpine style with bright wooden furniture, the spacious, individually furnished rooms all feature a minibar, satellite TV, and a seating area.
Hotel Bergheimat’s spa area includes an indoor pool offering panoramic mountain views, 6 different saunas, various steam baths, and an outdoor sauna. A range of massage and beauty treatments is available.
The restaurant serves Austrian and international cuisine with most products coming from surrounding areas. Half-board includes a breakfast buffet, afternoon snacks, and dinner.
In winter, the free ski bus to the Hochkönig Ski Area leaves just outside. The centre of Mühlbach is 1.9 miles away.

Review 1：Not the most expensive, but still a bit pricy for the region.

Review 2：The Bergheimat was easily the best hotel we stayed in over the last 6 trips within Europe. The staff and service were excellent, and made every effort to accommodate all of us. This was our second stay & will not be our last.

Review 3：It is a little remote which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Great access for hiking and skiing, 30 min to Werfen; 1 hour to Eagles Nest; 1 hour to Salzburg.

Review 8：Extraordinary attentive staff, warm and Nice. Good and varied breakfast and the snacks in the afternoon was exellent. Dinner likewise. We liked the pool and the training room,and of course the situation of the hotel high up in the mountains.

Review 9：The signs and notices in the hotel were only in German and it would have been better for a transition into English. i.e. ( Road closure !) while the owners spoke good English you could not keep asking !
