Reviews for Inter-Hotel Le Valentré

Review 1:Location was excellent - 10 minutes walk from main street (Avenue Gambetta) and less than 5 minutes walk from Cahors railway station. Our room fronted the street which was very quiet (November).

Review 2:WiFi was not stable.

Review 3:Good location within easy walking distance of the bridge and old town. Friendly staff, reasonably-priced parking on site, pleasant rooms and good breakfast.

Review 4:The wifi was atrocious - none in the room or it would constantly dropout. Same at reception. The only spot I found was outside the lift. There was nowhere to sit so I had to stand there to work.

Review 5:I was dubious about the location when I booked but it's a shortwalk to restaurants and the old town and just up the street fromPont Valentra.Bathrooms were updated, good selection of TV channels with a variety of languages covered - Chinese, Portugueuse, Italian, Russian, Spanish and English. Staff were great - helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was ample and good for the price.

Review 6:Having to hand the key in each time we left the hotel

Review 7:Good location within easy walking distance of the bridge and railway station. Friendly staff, secure parking on site.

Review 8:I wish the WiFi was reachable in my room, I had to go downstairs to use it

Review 9:The breakfast was superb, the stuff extremely helpful, train station one minute walk from the hotel

Review 10:Having to hand in the key at the front desk whenever leaving the hotel

Review 11:Friendly staff, secure parking on site, easy walking distance to see the town and mediaeval bridge

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Superb, we were travelling through France on motorcycles, on our arrival we were greeted by very warm and friendly staff. We were allowed to park in a secure garage and the hotel was great, very clean and tidy and modern. Good advice was provided for finding a restaurant and given it was a Sunday most places were shut. As it happened there was a music festival in town so the place was full of life. Breakfast was ideal, plenty to eat and all was fresh and hot etc Hotel located a short walk from the town centre with easy access in and out by road.

Review 14:The only downside was the secure parking which I might not have bothered with if I'd known there was a good car park outside but to many it would be a bonus.

Review 15:The hotel is well located in a fairly quiet road near the beautiful city centre, the river and the fabulous fortified bridge. The staff could hardly be more helpful and friendly. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and we slept like tops. Because we arrived so late we made ourselves a sandwich in the room and watched TV, sitting at the desk. The bathroom and towels were all of very goods quality and the whole place really clean. The secure parking was useful for keeping the car cool overnight until we left at midday. I might have left it in the car park to the rear if id been made aware. Parking on the street is fine if there's space. A very good stopover hotel. Chairs is very beautiful and well worth a visit. Go and see the medieval bridge and the old cité.

Review 16:Picnic lunch was poor- no sandwich, just buns and cheese from the breakfast buffet. Coffee at breakfast was not good.

Review 17:Wifi connection was very strong. Breakfast was nice, with the exception of the coffee.

Review 18:The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Although our room was on the front of the hotel there was little traffic noise. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful, staff we're friendly and helpful, we were provide with a flask of hot water for our onward journey.

Review 19:Rooms small. We'd mainly been staying in chambre d'hotes and had forgotten how bland hotel chains are. This reminded us pretty quickly. Cahors had a pretty bad traffic problem, and the hotel is on a busy thoroughfare, luckily we were high enough up not to have a noise problem. Others wouldn't be.

Review 20:Right across road from main station so very handy for onward journeys.

Review 21:Iron was available but didn't come with an ironing board. The Hotel was closed till 4 o clock so you couldn't leave your bags there or book into your room we arrived at 1 pm so we had to hang around for 3 hrs

Review 22:Staff were friendly, room was bright and big,Bath which was a big + Location was within walking distance of old town. Also there was a automatic laundry 5 mins walk away from hotel

Review 46:It was aconvenient town for us to break our journey to the south of France. We found the hotel easily and the on-site parking was a big factor for us. We had a bit of trouble finding somewhere to eat in the evening (esp as it was raining) and ended up at the expensive Hotel Terminus near the Rail Station.

Review 47:The steps from the car park into the hotel - with a large case.

Review 48:It was conveniently located and my satnav took me straight there. Pleasant receptionist.

Review 49:Very convenient location with parking available (very important if you are driving). Staff was helpful. Nice accomodations. We would stay here again if in Cahors.

Review 54:Everything about this Hotel was excellent. Lovely staff, clean, comfortable room, good location, close to train station. Good breakfast at a reasonable cost.

Review 55:If I was traveling by train it would be convenient to the station, but old town/most sights are on the other side of the peninsula. Not a huge walk in any case.
