Reviews for Château de Saint-Fargeau
Review 1:Unlike any accomodation you can experience in Australia. Great to roam the grounds of this beautiful property early in the morning. Saw a young deer. Staff were very happy and accomodating, despite our very poor use of French language.
Review 2:I am a bit confused...ok this is a castle but at this cost the hosting should comply with minimum standards not met for this case (cleaning should be improved, bathrooms...).
Review 3:Live in a castle - what a dream ! Caretakers are very nice.
Review 4:At check in you may feel confused. This is not a hotel or B&B in the usual sense. One has to go to the gift shop and mention the reservation. The attendant will then call the owner who will come to greet you.
Review 5:This was our second stay at Chateau Saint Fargeau. This time we brought our 10 yr old granddaughter. We were just as enchanted as the first time. The acccommodations are spacious and the hostess is charming. This large chateau is being restored and much of it is a museum open to the public during the day. At night it is closed and very, very quiet. There are expansive grounds, well maintained and beautiful. There is a working farm filled with animals children can pet and hold and it is only a carriage ride away. Guedelon, a castle in the making, is also nearby. The chateau is the centerpiece of the small town St. Fargeau.
Review 6:No bad experiences.
Review 7:We had never stayed in a 15th century castle that was still a home so we enjoyed all the ambience of history that surrounded us. There are beautiful grounds for strolling around a lake. The staff was wonderful and we slept soundly in the 4 poster bed in a lovely apartment with 3 rooms and bath.
