Reviews for A Park View Hotel

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Personal attention, politeness ,helpfulness of owner and staff.Better than the Hilton. More choice at breakfast cooked to perfection. Had a beautiful room loved our stay. Thank you we will be back.

Review 3:Absolutely nothing

Review 4:The staff were very friendly and helpful, could not fault them. I've never seen so much different fruit on the breakfast bar. The whole experience was very enjoyable

Review 5:There was nothing negative about our experience.

Review 6:The staff are a credit to the hotel. Our breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. Our room 214 was beautifully laid out with very good quality fittings. The Jacuzzi shower was most enjoyable. There was a good view over West Park.

Review 7:Bed was a bit small but I guess it depends on what you are used too. Not really a negative.

Review 8:Staff were so friendly and helpful. I arrived in the evening and they were so welcoming. Facilities all great. Very clean. Lots of hot water for a bath. Had a noise coming from the bathroom and the manager came up and fixed it immediately. I would definitely stay here again. Oh and the breakfast was first class! I've stayed in 5 star spar hotels which don't have the range and quality here at the park view! Outstanding!!

Review 9:Room was a bit small which didn't matter as we only stayed one night, the room could also do with a better placed full length mirror.

Review 10:Amazing shower and really comfy bed! Delicious breakfast and good 2 4 1 cocktail offer in the bar. Staff were very friendly and overall atmosphere at the hotel was good.

Review 11:They were pretty full one day when I went for breakfast and another time for dinner which meant a bit of a wait before my order was taken. Not a great problem. Food was excellent when it arrived.

Review 12:Staff, meals, convenience.

Review 13:this was the best hotel we have stayed in everythink was 5* couldnt fault anythink staff all friendly food fantastic couldnt of wanted anythink more thanks for a great stay

Review 14:Restaurant food is good but a tad expensive and let down by the bland house wine which was made from grape concentrate, a new one on us and not expected from a hotel of this standard. Limited parking at times.

Review 15:Lovely staff, friendly, relaxed and helpful. Location, next to a beautiful park and easy walking distance to city centre, railway, Molineux etc. Superb breakfasts. Seperate bathroom much better than usual ensuite.

Review 16:Overpriced drinks, but to be expected at a hotel.

Review 17:Friendly staff, large, clean & warm room. Jacuzzi shower extremely nice! Wonderfully tasty breakfast.

Review 18:There was an odd smell in the bathroom which we did report to the receptionist but as we were only there one night we don't know whether they had managed to get it looked into and fixed.

Review 19:The hotel was small enough to feel intimate and different from a chain hotel. The staff were very welcoming and keen to be of service without seeming intrusive. We felt as though we had found a 'gem' in the most unexpected of places.

Review 20:This hotel was a joy. The staff were lovely - helpful, informative and courteous. The food and selection was excellent, superb location, wonderful decor and nice ambience. Really cant fault it.

Review 21:Our room had an odd smell sort of musty/damp mixed with cleaning products.

Review 22:Amazingly friendly helpful staff who went the extra mile. We had a free upgrade to a larger room and got shown around the room. They easily accommodated my request for nonfeather pillows, and offered to book us a taxi before we could even ask. We had a quick meal and drink in the bar in the evening and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Very good value for money. Bed was huge and really comfy. Rooms had everything you needed. while we only stayed one night and could have chosen a standard travelodge type hotel it was a delight to be at the park view.

Review 23:Bed was too hard for me, but my husband didn't mind it.

Review 24:The effort the chef made for my evening meal to meet my dietary requirements was fantastic! The breakfast was also amazing. The view across the park was lovely with virtually no traffic noise.

Review 25:I think it was the water pipes but something woke us at 6.30 and carried making a noise for the next half hr.

Review 26:Staff were lovely and the hotel was very nice and comfy.

Review 27:The food was great but a little expensive. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was marvellous and lots to choose from. View from bedroom window was right over the park which was stunning.

Review 28:Staff were excellent - really friendly and helpful. Both evening meal and breakfast were of the highest standard and beautifully presented. Lovely cocktails too. Really enjoyed our stay - Thank You.

Review 29:Can't Fult the hotel in anyway !

Review 30:The whole experience was amazing staff are so friendly . The food was amazing . Would defiantly recommend hotel and will be going back again.

Review 31:There was nothing to dislike

Review 32:Reception staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful Room was fantastic with a shower like no other, breakfast quality and choice were better than we have had in any other hotel. In England

Review 33:If you are travelling to Wolverhampton....stay at A park view hotel. Very charming place with a wonderful staff. Breakfast is superb and you can have dinner at the restaurant " Hamilton's ". Very good value for the money

Review 34:Bed comfort was poor as the bed was a standard double -- a king size and it would have been a 10

Review 35:The staff made the whole experience fantastic, and the food was amazing best presented breakfast EVER Very well done sympathetic restoration leaving lots of the old character of the building behind

Review 36:So sorry to say that a member of waiting staff had a severe body odour problem, this really did make our meal unpleasant and we left earlier than we would have normally, not something that is easy to deal with I know but really does need addressing

Review 37:the location was lovely and the bed was amazingly comfortable, we would definitely stay again but eat elsewhere, sorry

Review 38:We are really pleased we "discovered" this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, the location is great and there is a wonderful park just opposite. We will be back.

Review 39:Bed was huge just is a little to firm for me but that's a personal preference & I wouldn't change my rating against the Park View because of it!

Review 40:Friendly staff, very high standards, breakfast better than 5* restaurants so credit to the management for getting it right!!

Review 41:Comfort of bed not to my liking (but that is a personal comment), as husband slept well and said it was comfortable for him.

Review 42:Staff attentive without being intrusive. Food well cooked, presented and tasted delicious. Good facilities. Free parking. Near main town.

Review 43:Everything was excellent - extremely good value for money!!

Review 44:Loved the location - in a quiet leafy suburb - 10 mins from Town Centre. Lovely room (207) at front of Hotel overlooking the Park. Food is excellent - both breakfast and dinner. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. If I returned to Wolverhampton in the future, this is the Hotel I would stay at!!

Review 45:The bed was massive but a tiny bit hard. Was fine for one night though.

Review 46:The staff were great, so friendly and helpful, especially Sat. Warm welcome and great service. The food was delicious too and especially the breakfast. So much fresh fruit to choose from followed by cooked items with a wide selection to choose from as well as the usual cereals, yoghurt, etc. We didn't get to try the afternoon tea which looked fantastic and will be making another trip just for this. The park opposite was beautiful too.

Review 47:Over-the-bath shower.

Review 48:Close to city centre but very quiet. Fresh/clean decor. Nice room & comfy bed. Good food (dinner & breakfast) & drinks. Good value for money. Fabulous staff !

Review 49:Absolutely nothing!

Review 50:The hotel is wonderful but its crowning jewel is its staff. From reception to the restaurant; smiling, attentive and thoughtful. I left my wash bag in the room and they rang me to tell me. Little touches like that are priceless. Excellent. I could not recommend the Park View more highly

Review 51:Immaculate hotel in every way. Beautifully furnished, staff pleasant, kind and helpful. Food delicious. All in a quiet and lovely setting. It would take a lot to better this hotel. Highly recommended!

Review 52:There is nothing not to like!

Review 53:This has to be the friendliest hotel ever! Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Large, clean, comfortable rooms, excellent choice and quality of food and drink, and perfectly located for the city centre. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend to others!

Review 54:Not being able to stay longer.

Review 55:All the staff were great....made you feel very welcome. Room was spot on. Food both at breakfast and in the evening were fantastic. 5 Star from me. If you need to stay in Wolverhampton I wouldn't look anywhere else. Its that good.

Review 56:I would have liked the bathroom lighting to be a little brighter - a little nit picking I know.

Review 57:If hotel staff are rated by their welcome, service and friendliness, then the staff of this hotel, have it in abundance - a delightful change from many hotels that I have visited. The hotel is well located for the town centre, being only a short waking distance away, yet it remains a quiet, peaceful, situation. The bedroom was both clean and comfortable, and being at the front of the hotel it overlooked the park, having great views, it follows then that this was a great place to relax.

Review 58:The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was second to none. The park in front of the hotel made for a lovely morning walk whilst being handy for the city and horse racing.

Review 59:We prefer a queen size bed and we had a standard size. Just ask them and they will tell you about their queen/king size bedrooms.

Review 60:Great location for town and the football ground. Very clean Superb breakfast that 5 star hotels would struggle to match Friendly staff

Review 61:It could not possible to have a bad experience at this wonderful "home form home"

Review 62:It was excellent all round from arrival to departure all the staff were very friendly and courteous. So much so that the following day after my wife had recovered from her Operation on our way home she wanted to stop for an evening meal at The Park View as the food was superb and thC chef could not have been more accommodating

Review 63:The owners and staff The food was excellent Service was excellent The Room was clean tidy and well decorated Relaxed Atmosphere Location next to park Quiet

Review 64:The welcome was extremely friendly and the free upgrade fantastic, (the jacuzzi shower - WOW!!) This hotel is ideal for access to the city centre with a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was second to none with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be booking again. Loved it !!!!!!!!!

Review 65:Liked everything, good welcome, friendly staff, immaculately clean, we didn't have time to eat during the evening but the menu looked good. Friendly bar area, and a lovely breakfast. We only stayed the one night and were very impressed, this standard desn't happen by accident, and is obviously down to hard work. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, dont delay!

Review 66:There's absolutely nothing to dislike it's so cosy

Review 67:I loved everything about this hotel very friendly staff owners so welcoming I would definitely stay again and would recommend to my friends foods fantastic

Review 68:Courtesy and friendliness in staff Felt really welcome Food excellent A breakfast to die for with a magic choice of fruit and wonderful sausages.

Review 69:nothing at all - not one thing..

Review 70:from start to end we were looked after with warm efficiency. Everything you need great rooms, nice bar, nice restaurant and most amazing breakfast. Free parking - spotless throughout. Owners and staff just make it look so simple to run a hotel but the hard work they put in behind the scene must be immense.. Just wish I had more reasons to visit Wolverhampton . Great location for city centre - Civic Hall etc

Review 71:Nothing at all.

Review 72:Perfect location. Quiet neighbourhood. Easy walk to center of Wolverhampton (15 minutes). Very friendly host, hostess and personel. Great clean room. Cozy little bar. Very tasty and large breakfast.

Review 73:Towels were not a good quality and were not bath sheets There were not any bathrobes and slippers as per the information Parking was difficult

Review 74:Family run, so very personal service and felt valued as a customer. The food was excellent and great breakfast choice, including daily smoothy. The bed was a good size, although not the softest of mattresses.

Review 75:I didn't like the fact that I couldn't stay longer. Perfect.

Review 76:Staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough. The hotel was beautiful and the location, perfect. The facilities were state of the art and very convenient. The owners were a lovely couple and we actually spent hours talking and having great conversation which made me feelat home and like I'd known them forever. Which is nice since I was on my own. The food menu was like a master cheff menu and the food arrived fresh in the morning. Breakfast, to say it was included was out of this world.

Review 77:There is no bar...there is a seating area where 2 people can sit when waiting to go to the restaurant. The bed is no match to the bed you get in any Premier Inn. As a converted house the walls are thin and there is lots of noise from other guests. The shower would be comfortable for a size zero model.

Review 78:Proximity to city center. Staff were lovely, and we were made to feel very welcome. Next to the "west park" which is brilliant.

Review 79:The bathrooms were all compact -shower only with complicated controls (all singing all dancing so to speak) and a risk of slippery floors - not easy for the 'geriatric'.

Review 80:For a visit to Wolverhampton this is a great location

Review 81:We liked everything about our stay. However, what made it outstanding was that the proprietor didn't just give us directions to our venue for the evening, he walked with us as far as the main road and directed us from there. We were very impressed.

Review 82:Nothing - I've booked again already.

Review 83:This was the third time this year that I've stayed here and, once again, it didn't disappoint. This was mainly because of the excellent, friendly and efficient staff - well led from the top, I suspect. Excellent choice at breakfast of fresh fruit buffet, croissants or the full cooked. I haven't tried the restaurant but it does do very tasty snacks. Clean, warm and comfortable (executive) with good shower. A hidden gem!

Review 84:We loved the restaurant attached to the hotel, called Hamiltons, and would highly recommend eating there. The location was great and it was easy walking distance into town. There is a beautiful park opposite the hotel.

Review 85:nothing of note.

Review 86:All the staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was very good and the service was fantastic. I stayed there the day before and on our wedding night and nothing was too much trouble with a few lovely touches the morning after for us both at breakfast really made our day!

Review 87:The hotel was 5 star quality. They very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite with a jacuzzi shower which was amazing, plus a massive bed. Very helpful staff and a great food choice.

Review 88:Nothing.

Review 89:Amazing bed and quirky room with all the facilities you would need. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and beautifully served by friendly staff

Review 90:The person on recpetion when we first checked in was very pushy about us booking a table in the attached restaurant.

Review 91:Very quiet and comfortable. A short walk from the city. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best I have ever had.

Review 92:This is a gem of a hotel - the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient; my room was spotless , comfortable and quiet. I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Obviously a very good chef because the food was delicious. Really outstanding all round. Thanks

Review 93:Probably the omelette for breakfast, very bland and tasted a little bit of stale oil (maybe change the oil??) however the fresh bread rolls made up for it. Nothing else negative.

Review 94:Friendly staff and very accommodating. Beautiful room and was welcomed with an upgrade due to my birthday.

Review 95:Chef is a little too keen on salt, everything was very salty, the homemade bread, mash, braised beef and salt even sprinkled on the fish

Review 96:Everything, even the food would have been good with less salt

Review 97:Quiet, location with pleasant views over the park. Excellent customer service. High quality bedroom furniture & linen. Immaculately clean. Great food. Nice atmosphere in the bar.

Review 98:Had to wait quite a while for breakfast due to large order just being taken.

Review 99:Fresh and Clean room - well decorated Service from each and every team member was exceptional Great location in front of the park Breakfast was well cooked and continental options were extensive.

Review 100:The staircase up to our room was very narrow and somewhat hard to maneuver. The hotel was much more difficult to find than I had anticipated. I should have picked lodgings in a city that was easier to navigate.

Review 101:The space age shower was AWESOME! The view of the park was nice.

Review 102:We were delighted with our whole experience of the Park View Hotel. We were staying there for my son's graduation and the staff took an interest in this and were most helpful in helping us find our way around Wolverhampton. We had dinner in the hotel and this was excellent - well cooked and presented food, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. A big thank you and 'well done' to all the staff!

Review 103:Having to tell you lot about the place and not finding the hotel sooner because I couldn't fault it at all.

Review 104:Fantastic independent hotel cheaper than the big ones but far superior when it comes to service, price and that real homely feel. The hot breakfast that was well worth having as it was real produce.

Review 105:This is an excellent hotel with very good rooms and beds. The Shower in the bathroom is quirky and gave me a great deal of amusement. The bar and restaurant areas are welcoming and comfortable The food that was served was good. Breakfast was amongst the best that i have seen presented at any hotel. The staff are amongst the freindliest and helpful that i have encountered anywhere. In all this is a first class hotel where every effort has been made to ensure customer satisfaction. I will not be staying at any other hotel in the area again as i will only be disappointed.

Review 106:This hotel was comfortable and just a 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The room was clean and we stayed in the executive suite with the Jacuzzi shower which was brilliant. Highly recommend

Review 107:Nothing - everything outstanding.

Review 108:We met the owner, and every other staff member we met reflected the high quality and customer experience values that should be conveyed in a high end business of any kind. Truly outstanding meals and service!

Review 109:Wi-fi a bit weak

Review 110:A fantastic hotel, excellent room and a excellent standard of food. A good range of beers and lagers served in the hotel bar. Their customer service is first class Will definitely book and stay there again. 10 out of 10

Review 111:Nothing to find fault with.

Review 112:Hotel was excellent, staff all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great breakfast with lots of choice.would highly recommend this hotel!

Review 113:That it's often full

Review 114:Close to wolverhampton for gigs etc Loverly spot opposite the park Super staff , very clean and very good food ( even vegetarian ) Locked car park Quirky individual rooms Fast WiFi

Review 115:The staff were so friendly, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was very good. My room had a queen size bed. I would highly recommend this hotel

Review 116:The Wifi didn't work for me, to be fair I didn't call reception to go through it so they may have been able to fix it.

Review 117:Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the place, lots of nice little touches. Great that you can eat there without having to travel. The staff were all extremely friendly.

Review 118:Room far too hot on a not particulay hot day. bed small, only one drinking glass and one towel in a double room. Food very slow, waiteress frightend to place our order with kitchen due to unwilling to upset them, only 6 other diners at the time. When we complained to managment, response was very negative. Cant quite belive they score 9.5

Review 119:Initail staff welcome and location

Review 120:We stayed at A park View with parents and 24 yrs old daughter to visit Alex Styles Photography exhibition at the Lighthouse. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast was superb

Review 121:having to leave?

Review 122:The staff are the most friendly and helpful people that you could wish to meet. We have stayed their several times now and will certainly stay their again.
